Glassesdiscounters.com / I ordered a pair of sunglasses and never received the goods
Beware of this company. I ordered a pair of sunglasses and never received the goods. The order was made on 11June 2011. The glasses were supposedly dispatched two weeks later on 23 June 2011. When I requested a tracking number I was ignored.
As the goods were coming from the US to Australia I waited over three weeks before contacting the company. When I emailed them they offered no explanation as to why I hadn't received the glasses but just promised to refund my money. I was provided with a supposed refund confirmation number from Fidelity Payments when I emailed again a day later. After eight days fruitlessly waiting for my refund I contacted my bank to dispute the transaction. My bank advised me that they had charged my credit card twice for the glasses which is fraud in my book.
This company is really dodgy. Their site is not verified by anyone. They do not have a bricks and mortar store. They do not provide a company street address on their website. When they reply to an email they do so with a one line answer and don't have the courtesy or integrity to sign off with a name.
I now have to wait up to 45 days to get my money via credit card chargeback (assuming I haven't just been scammed).
