The Skida Fabia was been launched in India last month. I had been waiting for the same for a very long time and called in response to an advertisement for a test drive. The telemarketing agency promptly assigned me to a Skoda Dealer called Giriraj Motors in Gurgaon (a suburb of Delhi- India. I called them up and the receptionist wanted to know, no make that grilled me on why I wanted to speak to their Sales Manager.
I was then put to a gentleman called Giriraj who professed he was the Sales Manager, he wasn't because someone called Vivek Ahluwalia said he was the Sales Manager. That besides I was put to someone called Amar who asked me what variant of the Fabia I wanted to buy as he he would bring the very same variant for a test drive. I said the top of the line model, post which he said that he didn't have any demo car in that variant but in a slightly lesser one.
I said no problem send it across, got a call back from their Sales Manager(Vivek) wanting to know all my needs again and said that they do not have any car for a test drive.
Guess what, They just made up my mind for me.
I am going to buy a HONDA.
