This has to be the most unprofessional woman that anyone could encounter. There is no greeting. There is no handshake. There is only yelling, and looks of displeasure and veins pop out of her neck. A woman who takes your money, earns a commission and offers ZERO hospitality. A woman who pays no attention to the customer. A woman who stares and plays with her phone the whole time. A woman that will make you feel guilty for wanting to invest your money with her. A woman who will simply stand up and leave and not say goodbye. A woman who will not respect you
I found her to be rude and will take my business elsewhere.

I'm stunned by the hostility against Giovanna Rivera in the above complaint. Clearly this person has an axe to grind that is unrelated to Giovanna's work ethic. I have always found her to be friendly, polite and professional at all times. I would like to know this persons real motives behind this attack. I bank at JEP primarily because of Giovanna and would seriously question JEP'S management skills should this unproven complaint result in some sort of action taken against Ms. Rivera.
Giovanna Rivera has been my banker at JEP for 2 years. I have always found her to be extremely professional, responsive to my needs, friendly and an altogether wonderful person. I believe that anyone who wrote a bad review for her must have some personal issues and is trying to hurt her at her job. If Giovanna is released from her job I will close my JEP account and follow Giovanna to her new place of employment. She is an excellent banker and employee and I only hope that these mean spirited people who have complained about her find someone else to scapegoat!

We have dealt with Giovanna for almost 2 years and during this time we have NEVER seen her exhibit the behavior that was cited in the complaint. She is a very helpful, caring and professional individual. If it were not for her we would not be clients of JEP today. The complaint comes to me as that from an "ugly person"

A couple of months ago, I attempted to wire money from my bank into my account at JEP. Because it was an online wire request and the forms/terminology were so different, the money ended up being returned by Bank of Pichincha to my home bank. Not a huge problem (except for the fees charged by my home bank). Shortly thereafter, I received an unsolicited email from GIOVANNA RIVERA AT COOPERATIVA JEP, offering any assistance in the future. When it came time for me to once again attempt a wire transfer, I contacted Giovanna directly to help me. Over the past two weeks, I had the pleasure of working directly with her, first in verifying that my wire instructions were correct, and then in setting up an additional account and a Super Saver account. She was extremely helpful and friendly. She even helped me to have an errant duplicate charge reversed on my current account, as well as to get the daily ATM withdrawal limits on my debit cards increased. I have always been pleased with the customer service at JEP; however, I must say that GIOVANNA RIVERA has been BY FAR the most overtly helpful and committed JEP employee I have encountered. Thank you GIOVANNA RIVERA AT COOPERATIVA JEP!

My wife and I have had GIOVANNA RIVERA as our JEP representative for the past 3 years. We have found her to be the most professional, helpful, positive, and knowledgeable banker in Cuenca. Not only she has helped us with our CDs and savings accounts, but with other banking issues and requirements as well. She personally arranged for security for me to transfer substantial amount of cash to JEP. How many other bank reps in Cuenca will do that? GIOVANA is definitely an asset to JEP and is the primary reason for many Cuenca expatriates having accounts in JEP.
JEP is a respected institution and should not react negatively to one unjustified comment about one of their best representatives, namely GIOVANNA RIVERA.

Giovanna is the best bank rep. I have ever dealt with and I was on a first name basis with quite a few US bank managers and executives.
She has helped me beyond measure getting my CD accounts open, finding the banks in Guayaquil with the taxi drivers etc

Good Evening, I am totally shocked at the comments made by this person. I have found Giovanna to be the most helpful and considerate person whom I have dealt with. I am a Canadian living and working in Oman. Giovanna has helped me in numerous ways. She has always been very helpful in all matters. I have made several trips to Cuenca and have met Gioanna on many occasions. I do believe that she is an asset to JEP. This person needs to apologize for making such nasty comments about a hard working person. Please do acknowledge all the positive comments and letters that you have received from her customers. Apart from being completely untrue, I believe this to be a hoax posting. According to the information given at the top of page it was posted by Giovanna herself which is unlikely to say the least. In my own experience and having dealt with Giovanna on numerous occasions over a number of years, I have always found her to be extremely friendly, efficient, helpful, honest and totally professional and reliable. Among the Gringo community in Cuenca, Giovanna has a great reputation and in my opinion JEP are lucky to have her.
I do not know who this person is or what their problem is, but I have found GIOVANNA RIVERA to be one the most helpful, considerate, friendly investment bankers that I have used in CUENCA. She is always attentive and has never given me the impression that she is in a hurry or doesn't want to deal with whatever problem that I have her to help me with. She has to be someone from the US who did not like he rules of JEP and is trying to take it out on Giovanna.
Whoever you are, you owe Giovanna and apology.
