GiftCardMall Gift cards

I just spent multiple emails dealing with a scam with this company. I ended up contacting my state's Attorney General (highly recommend you do this to get any resolution to your claim as they carry enough weight to make them do the right thing). I bought $200 gift card to TJMaxx for a Christmas present this past year (2020). When my daughter went to redeem it at the local store, they said it had already been used although the PIN had not been scratched off yet. Since I have a friend who is the CEO of another gift card company, I contacted him to verify how things worked in this business. He said that card numbers + PINS are kept in a data base and there is the very likelihood that someone hacked their system and redeemed them (most probably online since all they had were digits, not the physical card). Giftcardmall.com is just a card-fulfilling website owned by BLACKHAWK NETWORK. This is the company you need to contact to get a resolution. Michael Day, Legal General Counsel, begrudgingly agreed to refund my money in communication with my state's AG's office. The nimwhits at GCM.com were still sending back "sorry, final sale, kiss off" emails. BOTTOMLINE: there is some sort of internal fraud going on there that no one seems to care about until you get someone bigger and badder than them involved. They will try to wear you down with their "deny the claim" messages. Google your state's attorney general to find the contact info to email them. I guarantee that they will help you. PS: Blackhawk is owned by the Private Equity firm, Silver Lake. PE firms HATE bad PR. I would call their NY office to voice your concerns. [protected].

GiftCardMall Stolen money twice

From 2 "gift cards" from December and another at the end of January they stole the remaining balance. One they stole $ 99.99 from $ 100 and left 1 cent. The other the remaining $ 50. What a business and scam artists these folks are!
Their website will not allow us to check the balances and one has to make phone calls each of which takes half hour to 45 minutes. Some Russian sounding people answer the call and they you use every excuse not to answer your questions. They are worried about "security". They are thieves and they are playing people. Safeway and vons carry their cards.
Terrible business and horrible service. Haven't seen a dime refunded yet. $ 150 in total stolen. Beware of their scam. Tell your family and friends. Read reviews online. I have contacted the BBB and writing other reviews. The FTC is next week.

Hi Indigo Moon. Contact your state's Attorney General. That's what I did and by doing that, I got a refund. In Arkansas, our AG is big on stopping scammers and was all over it immediately.

GiftCardMall My gift card

I purchased my $50 gift card about a week ago, and I've had problems with it. My first purchase of 18.95 left me at a balance of $9.11, and I'm missing a refund that was completed a few days ago. When I registered my gift card a few minutes ago, the balance showed as about $25 dollars, but the balance and transactions page states I only have $2.23. I mostly just want the money that's in my account to actually appear so I can use it without issues.

Desired outcome: Fixing whatever bug or problem is going on

I got a refund from a merchant. They said take 10 days it was credideted from march4 im still wating not they tellin me another week they wont giv me my refund the merchant already release im pissed im goin take them to court .they dont care secon time they doin this to me bunch of scammers i want them shut down. Or pay for holsin people money i been told 7 difernt dates for gettin my money bk still havent gottin ot now another week bs

GiftCardMall 2 gift cards

I ordered two 25.00 gift cards on November 12, 2018. I received them a week or so later. I placed them ina "safe" place in my home. I am leaving for the holidays and could not find them anywhere in my home. They were not stolen. Just lost in my home. I was honest in my explanation and asked for replacements. I was told if I didn't receive them, they would be replaced. But since I was truthful, they would not replace. I didn't ask for a refund, just replacement. They wouldn't let me speak to anyone over the immediate supervisor. Was told I would hear within 48 hrs. I am very angry as I have used this website often. I just want a replacement for Christmas this week.

GiftCardMall egift cards

I placed an order on 3/10/18 for 8 gift cards (over $120) to be delivered via email on 3/12/18 to my daughter for her birthday. There was NO indication in the order process that my order would or could be delayed or cancelled.

I rec'd an email 3/12/18 afternoon saying my order had been cancelled with no explanation of why. I did not see this email until early evening after my daughter told me she had not rec'd my gift.

I called customer service 3/12 to inquire why order had been cancelled. Was told their 2 step process for confirming order could not be completed. Said they tried to reach me by phone twice to confirm order. I rec'd one call 3/12 afternoon from 408-606-3470 that I was not able to answer and no voice mail was left. The rep said since they couldn't confirm the order, it was cancelled.

My daughter and I live in different states and I had just gotten out of the hospital, so ordering her Birthday gift online was something I felt good about. I was extremely upset and disappointed that my daughter's Birthday gifts did not get sent per my order. I was told that the complete order would have to be placed again and there was no guarantee it would be delivered by the end of the day. I asked:
Why was no voice mail left for me to follow up confirming my order?
Why wasn't an email sent saying a response was required to confirm order?
Why wasn't there any contact from the company BEFORE the date my order was supposed to be delivered?
Why isn't there any info on the web site that says the order will require a 2 step confirmation and if not done, the order would be cancelled? Had I known to anticipate contact from the company, I would have been on the lookout.

The customer service rep and the supervisor were verbally respectful and apologetic but said they could not offer any compensation for the company actions or my dissatisfied service. Their words of "don't worry, we won't charge you for the first order and all you have to do is place the order again" were not comforting or reassuring! I have never dealt with a company who did not offer some sort of incentive to keep the customer satisfied.

For the reps, they thought resubmitting my order was no big deal—easier said than done when you're recuperating from a cardiac procedure. Had I not been so tired and feeling poorly, I would have shopped elsewhere and not resubmitted the order with Gift Card Mall.

Because of this experience, I will not use Gift Card Mall again and I will tell others not to use them.

May 28, 2018 I ordered a Souplantation e-gift card for $25 online today. I knew it was too good to be true. About 45 minutes I placed order I received call on cell that didn't look familiar so I didn't answer it. I googled that number & found it was from gift card mall. Unfortunately, no where in placing your online order does it say a follow up phone call is necessary to verify purchase. When no one answers, they cancel the order. I called customer service and was told it will take 3-7 days to get money returned to bank account. I don't like this process and will not use again. Better to use Zelle, mail a paper check.

GiftCardMall Stay away

Never deal with this business.
They canceled my order without any reason. My attempts to find out why didn't bring any result. They themselves don't know why they canceled an ordinary order. Pigheaded customer support.
I'm sure they had a system error, but they will never confess. They better blame me for an invalid credit card (though it's perfectly fine), anything, but will never say it was their fault.
Nothing but disappointment.

GiftCardMall Could not get an answer.

Horrible service. They rejected my order twice. The second order # is [protected] but no one could give me a reason why. I have never had an order rejected and was terribly offended. I told the representative that I wouldn't hang up until someone explained the reason for the rejection, but all 3 levels of service could say was that "the system rejected the order and no one in the company could tell me why." The representative hung up on me. I can't believe they refused to tell me why my order was rejected.

GiftCardMall Gift card order

I had a very bad experience with this company Gift Card Mall and had the same problem like many others. I placed my order for three gift cards and they charged my card. After my order was competed and they received the money they cancelled my order! They did not contact me or anything, they simply cancelled my order and stole my money. Gift Card Mall never replied to my messages and I have no idea how to get my money back and according to all the reviews there is no way to get a refund! Avoid like a plague!

GiftCardMall Gift cards - liars, cheats, and frauds

I bought a gift card for a friend in canada the end of july. He gets the gift card and the "small print" says he cant use it in canada! Wtf? Of course they do not tell you that these cards are not for international use on the website or when you are ordering it!

I called for a refund, and its been a month now, and I still haven't gotten my money back!

They keep saying "its takes 15 days", "it takes 15 days"... Well, its been over 15 days and I have no refund!

Lazy, lethargic, and useless doesn't even begin to describe these people!
Just like the government, once they get your money, to hell with you!

I finally had to end up filing a complaint with the state attorney generals office for fraud and theft!
I finally got my refund after having to waste my time having to report them for theft and online fraud!

Do not buy from this scam company!

They sell online and they sell gift cards in stores as well! Make sure the kiosk you are getting a gift card from at a store is not gift card mall!

GiftCardMall Refund on gift card

I bought a gift card for a friend in Canada. He gets the gift card and he tells me the "small print" that came with it says he cant use it in Canada! WTF? Of course they DO NOT tell you that on the website or when you are ordering it!

I called for a refund, and its been a month now, and I STILL haven't gotten my money back! They keep saying "its takes 15 days", "it takes 15 days"... Well, its been OVER 15 days and I have NO REFUND!

Lazy, lethargic, and useless doesn't even begin to describe these people!

GiftCardMall Gift card

Ordered an egift card, which was not delivered within 24 hours. I had to call twice to get them to resend it, but it was still not received. I told them I never received the confirmation email that their site said I should have. They refused to refund the card, even though it had not been activated and thus they could invalidate it. They said I could put in a refund request that would take up to 15 days for them to review. I'm going to dispute it on my credit card so they don't get paid until they address the issue. I will never buy from these people again.

GiftCardMall Stolen money

I have ordered a gift card with a $300 balance from GiftCardMall. That was a birthday preset for my daughter. And went she wanted to use the card we found out that there was a zero balance!
I immediately contacted customer service and asked what was going on. They said that there was probably a mistake and promised to fix everything.
I emailed again several days later and was told that they need some extra time to resolve my issue.
That never happened and later they just stopped replying to my messages and every time I tried to contact them via phone I was put on hold.

Crooked people need to stop. Monday Stephanie Wenzel and I tried using a $200 prepaid MasterCard given to her from a organization. Purchased in Perrysburg 10/10/22 and was used in NY Grocery 10/23/22. I am so upset for her. How horrible these thrives are stealing prepaid cards when purchased. Trying to get a human at this company is impossible!

GiftCardMall Want a refund!

I have ordered an iTunes gift card for my brother as a birthday present and did not receive it because they cancelled my order for no reason! I decided to contact customer service because I was worried about my order and only then I was told that it was cancelled. The funniest part was that no one ever contacted me and never told me about that! They just said sorry and did not even offer me a refund! When I asked for my money back they said sorry again and added that they completely forgot about it. Well, hope they'll keep their promise. I do not recommend GiftCardMall.

GiftCardMall Service

I've had the most incredible user experience with GiftCardMall... I ordered 5x$25 iTunes gift codes to be delivered to my customers. We are taking about $125 paid using a company Amex credit card. 1-2 hrs later I get an email saying my order has been cancelled. And my account refunded. After I tried to justify who I was and why I did this order, the only replies I got were: (1) "our Risk Department has determined that your order presents a risk that warrants for it to be cancelled. Any additional accounts will also be cancelled and your account cannot be unlocked." then (2) "Not sure what to say to advise you. You will need to seek out a new vendor." Breath taking... $125 ...

GiftCardMall Never got my cards!

I had a horrible experience with GiftCardMall. Purchased cards and after getting a confirmation email never heard anything from them. Wanted these cards for Christmas, but on Christmas day received a message that my order was cancelled. I had sent a message earlier that day to see what had happened to my cards. Anyway, later got an email that order was cancelled because I did not answer a confirmation email! But each card I ordered was approved, I saw it when I had gone to the website a few days after receiving a confirmation email. Never got my cards! I will never do business with GiftCardMall again.

GiftCardMall Go to the store-buy a gift card-mail it. DO NO USE THIS COMPANY

They tried 3 different email to deliver the gift, they said. Then I have tried to get my money back. I have about 5 different reference numbers, have spent about 2 1/2 hours on the phone with them. It has been "bumped up to the next level" whatever that means, twice. That level cannot be called by the supervisor or the customer. They say they will call back and don't, they said the money will be in your account in 20 business days it wasn't, then next call, it will be in your bank account in 5 business days and it isn't. Go to the store-buy a gift card-mail it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

GiftCardMall Visa Gift Card

This company has the worst customer service. I ordered gift cards for our office staff and paid extra to have them arrive in time for our luncheon. In a second order I ordered cards to be used as prizes that could be shipped anytime. After ordering online, I didn't get a confirmation, so nothing to submit for reimbursement. Then, a couple days later I get an email with an order number telling me that the order cannot not be processed because they need names for employee cards. For the employee cards, I sent a list of names. They email me again, telling me that they need names. I resend the list, but ask if they will confirm which order they're talking about. It seems when I reply the email goes to a different person so I'm having to start over. I finally call. The person on the phone is speaking in a flat tone and seems to be bored with my call. He informs me that they haven't received the list of names. I ask to resend and he says that it's already been generated with the generic name I originally ordered with. ? And, when I ask him about delivery, he can't tell me delivery dates. I explain that I paid for rush shipping, but due to their delay in wanting names that they didn't use, will mean that the shipping needs to be upgraded. He can't do anything about that. So, why did I need to email names, when the generic name originally provided would work? Last summer I had a similar issue and ended up cancelling due to their poor customer service. I'm not sure why I went back to them again. Also, last Christmas I ordered cards for my nieces and nephews with their photos. I only received 2 of the 4 ordered. When I called to follow up on the other two there had been some type of problem and they said they tried to reach me. I hadn't received any emails or phone calls. Both contacts were provided during the ordering process. This is three strikes. I'll go back to giving Target cards to employees and as prizes for customers. It's easy and no extra fees.

GiftCardMall No delivery, no refund, bad customer service

I recently purchased a gift card through www.giftcardmall.com for a friend of mine. Currently I am using the term "purchased" loosely...technically, as it stands I just gave them money for nothing other then a headache. I bought the card on 10/19, and it supposedly shipped the same day via USPS first class. They claim a potential shipping window of 7-15 days (which already seems a bit excessive). That is clearly posted on their website, though I will admit I assumed it was a "worst case" scenario...I suppose that was my fault for assuming. So we'll move on from that...but, if we start counting from the 20th then it's now been over 21 days since it was ordered, and there have been 18 days that the card could have arrived (because USPS doesn't deliver on Sundays)...if you want to count only business days (Mon-Fri) we're now at 16. I contacted them several times to inquire about the status of the order, and each time I just get a reply quoting the "7-15 day shipping time frame." I haven't asked for anything for free, but simply that they refund the amount I paid, and cancel the gift card (assuming it either never shipped or got lost in the mail). I was just told again that I needed to wait a couple extra days, beyond the shipping time frame, to see if it arrives. It is now approaching a month since I ordered it. I just wanted to send a giftcard as a nice gesture to thank a friend for some recent help...I incorrectly assumed that ordering it online, through this vendor, would be a convenient and quick way to send this gift...lesson learned. I truly hope this is a fluke, and isn't a common experience for other customers, but their response so far makes me wonder. In each of my last few interactions with this company's customer service I requested either a refund, or to be put in contact with a manager who could help me. Realizing that perhaps this was just and accident, I also specifically mentioned that I would prefer to avoid publicly posting about my negative experience, and I'd rather resolve it with them directly. I got the same "bottled" responses, and no real help.They didn't seem to care or have any concern for me, so why should I care if a negative post hurts them? Maybe it will even help someone else...

GiftCardMall I would never get one of these again, total scam

SCAM SCAM SCAM. I bought my daughter a visa debit card from this company for her 14th birthday. She tried to use them to order items online. The card was declined, and no purchase made, but giftcardmall is still holding the funds, and tell me it will take 6 business days until they'll be available. I would never get one of these again, total scam. I called and complained with their agents, a supervisor, and am not posting on as many websites my dissatisfaction. I also am looking at joining any class action lawsuit against them that I can find.

Do not buy! I have $100 gift card with nothing on it, when I log in to see transactions - there are none. Have spent hours on the phone to no avail. Do Not Buy! Scam!

The website is useless. It says I've created an account when I never did. Would not take the last 4 digits of my phone number to register the gift card then locked me out. Worst website ever! Do not buy a gift card that is managed by giftcardmall.com.
