I subscribed and paid for (via Paypal) a one year subscription to Ghost Magazine on October 15, 2008. After not receiving any issues or acknowlegements by December, I attempted to contact Zilcom via e-mail and telephone many times leaving voice messages and e-mails. I never received a response from anyone.
My next step was to report the incident to Paypal by filing a dispute. However, I was told by Paypal that since the transaction occurred more than 45 days prior there is nothing that can be done to recover the funds. But, if enough compaints were brought against Zilcom they will take action.
Looks like I'm out $23.45. It's not the money but the principal. Paypal should be deactivated from their outdated web site if the company went out of business like I discovered after the fact. Makes one feel like they were robbed.
