Geonlineservices / Select Comfort / not applying payment to charge finance charges

I've been making online payments for almost 1 year on a 3yr interest free account; Ge tried to offer a quicker payoff by giving $50.00. I could not do that. All of a sudden GE didn't apply my payment (never got it online?!) and now they are charging me a late fee and 500.00 finance charge.
