Geneva Roth Cap / payday loans

1 United States Review updated:

Geneva Roth Cap has taken over $150 from our account every two weeks since Dec 2008. We also took out a loan from a different company the same day and that one is totally paid off. We figured the Geneva loan would be paid the same time so we called the company. They stated we still owed the $500 and all the money that was taken out was money for interest. This is highway robbery. I wrote BBB and I also wrote the US Attorney Generals office. I will not pay another dime on this loan. But how can I stop this madness. It seems to me that this company is robbing everyone. We as a unit could fight these people and rake them through the coals if we all went in this together?!?

    Geneva Roth Cap - Loan
    United States

I was in need of some extra cash over the holidays. I applied for a payday loan. Unbeknownst to me, my checking account was credited for $500. That was back in November 2008. It is now two months later. I have been paying $150 every two weeks on this stupid payday loan, totalling $625. I called them today and they told me that all they have received is $150, which goes toward the interest. But I have my bank statements to prove that I have paid way more than I should have in the first place. Is there any way to get my money back? Please help.

Unfortunatley if you read the fine details of your contract you will find that this is how most payday loan companies work. you borrow 300.00 and pay back anywhere from 17.5% to 30% and you pay nothing but interest till YOU THE CONSUMER advises otherwise.

I had an acct with genvea roth yrs ago. I paid them off. I was told from Loan usa I owed them money. I had know business dealings for yrs with them. They pulled 160.00 from my wellosfargo acct. from searching my SS# I have reasearched all but 1 acct I had in washington state. They say it was a calim in 5/2007 I have know deposit into any accts I can find so far and if I did why didn't they pull money from those exsisting accts 2.25 yrs ago. They claim they are USA loans but say it is a Geneva Roth claim. So I am out 160.00 dollars and that money is food for my disabled son and gas to get me to work at a Registered Nurse job 2.75 hrs away
