General Electric profile advantium 120 microwave

Our oven is 4 years old. Had a repair done in February (14th) replacing the electronics on the front. 3 weeks ago it started having the exact same problem. 4 months. We are being told that we have to pay for the labor again. For your repeat defect, 4 months later? Does that seem right? Will I be paying again in 4 months for the same issue?

So, what happens is that it starts bringing up menu functions on its own. It will even start microwaving on its own. Different menu choices come up. It will cycle through a given function. Sometimes the buttons don't work, like cancel or microwave cook.

I just want a microwave that works. I should not have to keep paying for the same defect.

General Electric gfe29hsdass refrigerator

I purchased a refrigerator 5 1/2 years ago with a 5 year extended warranty. The total cost was over $2k. The condenser fan stopped working over the weekend and an entire refrigerator / freezer full of food was lost, including food from a party. I contacted GE customer service and a gentlemen by the name of Jack looked my unit up and told me, guess what, I have good news for you. Your unit has a known issue and I'm going to transfer you to consumer relations and they will help you with it. After I was transferred, this representative couldn't find anything about a known issue. She didn't know the gentleman I spoke to and when asked to speak to a supervisor told me they couldn't do anything else other than order the part for a discount. I then had to call and verify the repair company would install the part. I ended up calling back and ordering to part. She told me she could ship quickly but now they are saying 4-7 days via FEDEX ground. When I asked about quicker shipping this was the best they could do. It's a refrigerator. So I guess it is also acceptable not to have a refrigerator for over a week. All in all I've been on the phone for two hours because of wait times and multiple calls. This is NOT the GE company or service I expect. I purchased a GE appliance expecting GE quality. This entire experience is not acceptable. It's also not my only GE appliance but it will probably be my last GE appliance.

General Electric ge refrigerator

We purchased this refrigerator 4 years ago and within a year it started making a strange noise from time to time, then last year the refrigerator stopped cooling, I contacted lowes and found my warranty had expired, I had not purchased the extended warranty I guess I feel as though when you pay $2000.00 for a appliance it should hold up. I contacted the same repair company that lowes uses he came out ordered a fan for the refrigerator and 1 week later our refrigerator was working. 3 months later both ice makers stopped making ice (there was a new filter in) then it started leaking water, so we had to disconnect the water supply so no water or ice then in about 5 months it began to make a noise every once in a while (again) but it was working... Then it stopped working again, I contacted the company that repaired it and great news! That warranty expired 2 months ago! It was almost $500.00 for that repair 1 year ago, not to mention that now it is the fan, the leak, and both ice makers. I guess I am supposed to tell you what I want you to do about it, I don't know, I just know ive used your company for many many things in our home, i'm not one to normally complain must less file a complaint with a company but I feel like I spent entirely too much money on this to just throw it away, but do I spend another 500 on repairs that hold up 14 months? I really cant afford to do that. I did have to go buy another refrigerator because I managed to lose a refrigerator full of food but here this one sits... If I have it repaired ill have to use it in the laundry room as a backup, I just know I am very dissatisfied. So please you tell me what the desirable resolution of my complaint should be because I really don't know. I used strongarm repair services [protected] march 2017 it is a stainless ge refrigerator inside it days twin chill model gfe29hsdass serial da509570

General Electric ge front load washer

Buyer BEWARE! I got a brand new front GE front loader washer March 2017. Paid a little over $600.00 for it. Well, today my washer is not working and the repairman says it is a $400 to $600 repair. I have called GE to try to get some sort of assistance or for them to step up and stand behind their product. But since it 2.5 months over a year old apparently it is not their problem but mine. Truly a washer should not be having this kind of issue just barley over a year out. So disappointed, but I guess I know what brand to avoid in the future. I do wish I would have done my research a year ago as GE has a very low customer satisfaction rating on consumers reports. I am on hold now for 20 minutes with customer support with hopes that there might still be a chance. I will keep everyone posted. #standbehindyourstuff, #barelyoutofwarranty

General Electric parts department

On May 31, I spoke to Mollie @ customer relations 800.386.1215 x5254, she was very helpful and reassuring; said my circuit board was under warranty due to recall and would place order no charge (part in stock) she provided me with order # 475977 as well as incident case # [protected] saying warehouse little backed up should get order out in a week and I should receive it in 2 weeks by 6/15. Mollie emailed me this info stating to call her if any issues. I called her 6/14; leaving her voice message .. yet did not hear back. On June 18th I called customer parts # following up on my order.. CSR person told me order had not been placed she will have someone check into it and get back to me; I told her GE had history of not calling me back so I wish to speak to supervisor .. 10 mins on hold I spoke to a Shirley Bowles who said she had order but needs case # I told her I had a incident / case # I could give her; she said no she needed a case # and I need to call CR to get it.. I was frustrated and told her I would call CR. I called CR minutes later and after being on hold for 30 mins Keisha got on phone asking how she could help.. I told her all that happened and she said parts should ship the order and that case # is in the system. I gave her Shirley Bowles name, Keisha then put me on hold and came back 5 mins later stating she just walked over to Shirley Who would check on my order and call me back end of day today 6/18. Could you please advise me what I need to do to get my part

General Electric ge refrigerator/still not working after replacing compressor

Incident occurred on 6/15/2018
Tech # [protected]
On 5/29/2018 a service tech responded to our report that our refrigerator wasn't cooling properly and the ice maker had stopped. He investigated and determined that we needed a new compressor. After some discussion of cost, we instructed him to order the part and scheduled a date to have the bad part replaced. as we were going out of town on 6/6/2018, we settled on the tech returning on 6/5/2018. Everything was contingent on receiving the part which would e mailed directly to our address. On the morning of 6/4/2018 we received a call that the service dept. had been tracking the part and it wasn't scheduled to arrive in time. We then set a return date of 6/15/2018. The part was delivered in the early afternoon of 6/4/2018. We immediately called the service department to notify them but they still could not get us scheduled for our original appt of 6/5/2018. We left 2 dependents and their care giver with a refrigerator that barely cooled on the freezer side for a week.
On 6/15/2018 the tech arrived early and began the work of replacing the bad compressor. He was pleasant and efficient and completed the job in a timely manner before starting on our oven which needed some parts replaced as well.
Later that afternoon we noticed our refrigerator still wasn't cooling. We checked before going to bed and the situation was the same. We called the service number back on 6/16/2018 to report the problem and the urgency of the situation (as we had purchased some perishable food items) We were told that the earliest someone could come would be Friday, 6/22/2018. My response was "are you kidding me". I asked for a supervisor and was told that customer care was closed but I could call on Monday. She gave me the number. We called the service desk on 6/18/2018 early (between 7;30 and 7:45 am). After hearing the issue they said they would send someone but it would be an all day ticket. A tech would arrive between 9 am and 5 pm. My problems are:
1. Each time we called prior to 6/18/2018, we had to make at least 3 attempts. We were put on hold for extended periods of time, cut off and had to call again.
2. I've lost food and need to be reimbursed for it.
3. Why does it take 3 weeks to get a repair done when payment is expected and given the day of service?
I've spent over $900 and my refrigerator is still not cooling.

General Electric ge double oven

I am very upset. I've had a GE profile double oven for 22 years without any issues. I recently purchase a double oven because I had my kitchen redone and the color did not match.
The oven is hardly used. If used 3 x a week that is a lot.
Well now it's broken. F97 error code which a technician said was the fan. $700 for LABOR! That is LUDICROUS ! How do you make a product and in less than 2 years a fan goes? Will NEVER buy another GE appliance.

General Electric washing machine

GTw330ASK2WW serial no. TH178735G.
I've been buying GE appliance for 40 yrs. This machine is absolutely the worst we have ever owned. Never enough water, won't spin clothes out correctly and always out of balance. Doesn't matter what we put in. I've owned 2 before this, do the math. Only 5 months old but will be buying something else soon. My guess Speed Queen.

General Electric ge side by side refrigerator/freezer model no. gscs3pgxcfss

This model has a water/ice dispenser in the freezer door. The Dispenser Control Board has a plastic panel with labels for "Quick Ice", "Cubed", "Crushed", and "Water" and by pushing the labels a consumer switches between these options. My refrigerator is about 7 years old and the Dispenser Control Board functions perfectly however where the plastic panel is labeled "Water" through normal usage there is a hole in the panel and the "Cubed" label is about to wear through.

I contacted GEappliance parts to request a new plastic panel and was informed the only way to repair is to buy a new Dispenser Control Board Part No. WR55X10907 at a cost of $173.00.

My complaint is that the part was inappropriately engineered and GE should have tested the plastic panel to assure it would remain intact for the estimated life of the refrigerator. Since the company failed to do this the replacement Dispenser Control Board should be available to consumers for a cost appropriate for a replacement plastic panel in the range of $5-$10.

General Electric french door refrigerator

We have had a service tech to our house 3 times in the past 2 months to try to fix a freezing issues in our refrigerated area. They have all been friendly and have tried to service the problem, but with no success. We actually know have constant noise from the motor that is new since the unit has been serviced. The lower right side of our "snack" drawer does not get above freezing so anything that is put in there freezes.

I am not sure another call is going to solve the issue. We are under our 1st year warranty.

Please help with next steps.

Thanks!

General Electric non-delivery of appliances ordered and paid for

In November of 2017, I purchased and paid in full over $28, 000 worth of GE monogram appliances from Osment's Appliances in McAllen, Texas. I still have not received my complete order. I am missing the refrigerator, the range, the advantium oven, and the hood. Luann Osment, the owner of the business, does not return my phone calls. Her employees do have any authority to order on their own; therefore, the customer is left with no recourse. They continue to deceive me by telling me that the appliances are "on their way". But three weeks have gone by and none of the major appliances have been delivered.

Today I was told once again, that they are "on their way". I have asked for proof that Luann Osment ordered the items. I have received no response and no proof yet again.

This has been the most frustrating and deceitful experience I have ever experienced. I have been lied to repeatedly. My numerous phone calls have been ignored. In good faith, I paid over $28, 000 of hard earned money six months ago and have yet to receive the major appliances I ordered.

This year my husband and I will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We have waited many years to finally save up enough money to remodel our kitchen only to be lied to and mistreated by the owner of this business, Luann Osments. there is no excuse for this behavior.

General Electric microwave

We purchased a GE microwave, model # JVM3160DFWW, ON 5/24/16. Early in August 2017 it stopped working and we called customer care and they agreed since it was only 14-15 months old they would send a repairman at no charge. He arrived on Aug. 23rd. and said it needed several expensive parts including switch micro monitor and control ASM WW plus a fuse. See your invoice # 278126 of 8/23/17. He returned on 8/30/10 and replaced those parts, your invoice # 278160.

Now the microwave worked fine until this past week and the same problem occurred, no power. I replaced the interior fuse and as soon as I tried to start the unit it immediately blew the fuse. I tried to replace the fuse 3 times and it continued to blow fuses. Obviously it again was a faulty and shorting problem which I can only assume was the switch and/or the same part/parts they replaced last August.

When we called customer service to again get this problem fixed they said they would not cover a service charge or labor but only parts.
Since this Microwave has completely stopped working TWICE since we bought it I have little faith this same problem would not occur a third time and would again not be covered. We expected to have this appliance be usable more than two years from new. Seems not the case and no guarantees.

So due to lack of faith in GE we elected to cancel the the May 21 scheduled costly service call and go buy a new Microwave, though not a GE product. Luckily we found a comparable microwave for a little more in cost to what the scheduled May 21st. service call would have cost and now instead have a brand new microwave instead of a GE unit that we had little faith would last another year without again breaking down. We thus trashed the GE microwave.

Needless to say. based on this experience, we would be reluctant to a ourselves consider purchasing a GE appliance or recommending GE to friends and family.

We thought you would like to know of our experience and thoughts about GE products.

General Electric microwave model: pvm9179f1ss, serial #td200412k

I bought this Microwave summer 2016 at Home Depot, unfortunately I lost the receipt. In less than one year this Microwave start acting out. This is very expensive Microwave because it is convection oven as well. When I called GE customer service they told me, I don't have any receipt to prove when I bought the Microwave, and they told me this Microwave was purchased in January 2015. I told how could that be because I bought my house in July 2016 and move in August. I bought the microwave cash, unfortunately Home Depot has no record. There is no way I could have bought before that. They refused to help me with warranty. They have to charge me to send a technician out to my house. The technician came, he charged me $106.83, plus I ordered a part for almost $100. When another technician came, he said he wasn't the part now I had to order another part and I had to return the old one. Miraculously the microwave started working by itself for about 2 months. Now I don't what to don't want pay any more money. This is very frustrating. This is the worst product I have ever bought . I need help GE consumer with this Microwave.

General Electric ge refrigerator

I bought a GE Refrigerator at Home Depot 6/2017
The Ice maker has never worked well from day 1, It has began to only make ice intermittently. I called and things went ok3 (other than waiting on hold for30 plue minutes), They went over a few things and made and appointment for service call. The day before the service call was to take place I was called by GE. My son was in the hospital and I was not thinking clearly about the call when I got it. Any way the rep had me do a few things and I was told it was resetting the ice maker, and that I needed a new ice bucket and my service call was cancelled.
After I knew my son was going to be ok I called back as I knew it was not just an ice bucket that was wrong with the ice maker.
So after being on hold for 30 minutes and then being hung up on twice, I got someone to help me. I explained the problem I was talking to the extended warranty department. After another 30 plus minute hold he came back on the line and I was told it was GE who cancelled my service appointment I was taking with the extended warranty, I was also having a problem with my extended warranty which the guy took care of, He then told me he would get me in touch with GE who had cancelled my service call, so after another 30 plus minutes I get this customer service rep who tells me to take out my ice bucket and I did so, I ask her if we were resetting the ice maker and she said no well yes that is what we did. Anyway she tells me I need a new ice maker and there are no service repair in my area, and the GE would send me and ice maker for me to install, I told her I was not installing anything that was under warranty, This lady just kept insisting I repair this refrigerator that is under warranty my self. I know if you work on or try to repair something under warranty that you void that warranty. The bottom line is and I told her as much. I will not repair something I paid over 2 thousand dollar for that is under warranty. I have never my life encountered such bad and rude customer service.I am extremely dissatisfied with the product and the customer service I have received. This call took place on Friday May 18th, I was not satisfied or convinced that my problem would be taken care of so I got another phone number from Home Depot for customer relations another joke, After sitting on hold for 45 plus minutes I spoke with a man who was suppose to send me a case number by email which I have not received, but I did get a call letting me know I would have a service call on Tues the 29th of May, I can not express how unhappy I am with the problem I have encountered with this problem.I have always bought GE products but I will not be buying GE any longer, And I do not think a customer service rep should try to diagnose a problem over the phone, If your calls are recorded for training purposes then maybe someone should take the time to listen to them, I paid a lot of money for a refrigerator that I expect to work and I also expect to get the problem, taken care of with out all of this stress.

General Electric ge profile refrigerator

My GE refrigerator has broken down for the 4th time and they just keep saying we have to replace the parts. At what point do you say the same part has been replaced over and over again that the unit may have bigger issues. Each time they replace the same part the span in which the unit runs before failing again is shorting. Every time the unit breaks it take 2 to 3 days before they fix it. At one point the unit was down for 4 days. I will never purchase another GE product again.

I too bought the piece of garbage G. E. Profile Refrigerator from Lowes 5/2012. The main board has already been replaced that was 2yrs after purchase so 2014. This cost a little over $500.00 for the part and service. Now here we are again 5/30/2018 the refrigerator light up like a disco dance floor. After the lights were done flickering it died. I called customer service, spoke to a Wendy who by the way was very nice. However it is the same part, the main board of the refrigerator that went again. Now as of today's date 6/7/2018 I still have no part. I was told it would be overnighted. So I emailed Wendy for a status check on the part. Come to find out, it isn't even shipping until 6/13/18. How the hell is this even possible? It is summer I have children in the house and no refrigerator again. And obviously no help from G. E. . How could a company take over 2 weeks to ship out a part. I will never ever ever by a G. E . appliance again after this disaster. Here's to living out of a cooler for another week. Lets not forget eating out again or going to the store daily, because I don't have access to another freezer to keep anything in it. Very disappointed customer again Jill George

General Electric ge washer

Attn: do not buy this washer or any GE product.

I was disappointed to hear how loud this clothes washer is, the first time that I used it. Although, there was a yellow sign, that said, this Washer may have loud noises, that you may not have heard before, and that, the noise is normal. So for 6 months, I've been going along with the "normal noise". Until yesterday, the washer sounded like it was going to go through the floor, while spinning, since it's up on my second floor.

When washing heavy towels and blankets, the washer makes a vibrating noise, that I've never heard from any other washer in over 40 years that I've been doing laundry.

Since the washer is still under warranty, I called to schedule a service appt. After scheduling the service call, I couldn't believe what the representative told me, I was so appalled. "If the repair person does not find anything wrong with the washer, and discovers, no repair is needed, I will be charged for the service call". What? The appliance is under warranty, and you may be charged for the service call? Are you kidding me? "The warranty only covers problem relating to mechanical issues and not noises that may be a normal part of the machine. " I still have the appt. scheduled, because I do believe there is definately something wrong with it, but due to their warranty policy, I will never purchase a GE product again and, if I am charged for the service visit, I definitely, will not pay it and, I will file a complaint with the BBB and the PA consumer affairs office.

And, by the way, this is no longer the GE company we once knew, it's really called Haier a Chinese Co., that makes junk appliances.

General Electric new refrigerator

Purchased a new GE refrigerator from Lowes last July 2017. with a 5 yr. EEP service protection plan. Had malfunction of freezer compartment in Sept. 2017. After 1-5 calls for service repair. Technician showed up in a very nice modern van. The repair on the freezer door hinge required a simple O ring washer. He had to order the part, which took 2 weeks to arrive. What? You mean that nice van didn't have a simple washer in it? Well, now the lower compartment is not cooling at all, and ice is forming on the cabin compartment in the freezer. After another series of calls for a repairman, he shows in a nice modern van as well. He said it was the thermostat regulator that was bad. You guessed it, there was not one in that nice van. Have to order the part which will take 10 days.in the meantime, we have to throw out food in the lower compartment that has gone bad. Tried to call to get a repairman to come back out with the repair part, but I got put on the run-around-wheel. Have learned my lesson the hard way. Do not buy ge products, period! Letting family and friends know how GE does business or the lack thereof.

General Electric ge profile induction oven

We bought a GE Profile Induction Oven in February 2018. It is May 2018 and that same stove has been unplugged for 5 days as of this post because it was deemed unusable by the service technician. Fried motherboard! We called because there was smoke coming from the control panel. Now we sit and wait for a new motherboard to show up at our front door. No, GE did not overnight ship the new motherboard. I guess that was too much of a hassle so 5 days and still waiting. No, GE will NOT under any circumstances replace the stove. I guess they deem it completely normal for a motherboard to fry on a new stove. No, the retailer hasn't really done anything to help except to say it is GE's issue. I would argue and suggest that GE (really Haier) consider that they either have an engineering problem, an issue with supplier, or a QC issue on the production floor.

I thought it was important to know that I am likely going to share this story with everybody that will listen including media broadcasts. Not happy.

General Electric ge cafe gas range

Hello,

We purchased a GE Cafe gas range back in January from the local company Home Depot. The rage stove is not heating up to the temperature we desire, it goes up to 230 degrees and it shuts down. We called Mabe to put in a service call, a technician came to [censored] the rage and left. We haven't heard from them since. We keep calling and nobody gets back to us. We had a manager assigned to our case with no response or any communication from any manager. Home Depot will not talk to us, they say it's out of their hands.
We purchased this $3000 gas range that does not work. If this is a manufacturer defect we need to replace the stove. This is outrageous that a big company like GE cannot get their customer the satisfaction needed.
We need someone to call us as soon as possible to rectify this issue

General Electric refrigerator

Purchased a new GE profile refrigerator in 2017. Within 10 months the refrigerator began to make a loud noise, intermittently. The 1st repair man that GE sent was very unprofessional, came without proper tools, no parts, no Co. vehicle (his wife drove him in an old, unmarked car). He claimed that the noise was from not closing the doors properly! 2nd repair co. replace sensor, Food freezes in frig. Now working on a 3rd service repair co.
