Gemologica Poor Quality Ring

I have never been more disappointed in a piece of jewelry than the ring my husband gifted me from Gemologica. My ring had 4 diamonds set in a halo around a lapis stone. I wore my ring a handful of times before I noticed that not 1 but 2 of the diamonds had fallen out and the prongs holding them were broken. When I contacted customer service, "Judy" responded by rudely blaming me. "It’s like driving a car into a tree and trying to blame the manufacturer that the car is defective because it was dented." Her only offer was to provide a partial refund or charge the full cost of replacing and repairing the ring. I was also told to just find a local jeweler to fix it, instead. Gemologica attempted to avoid any responsibility for the poor quality and craftsmanship of the ring and for providing reasonable repairs. The ring wasn't even a month old!

Claimed loss: $500

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund or repairs for no cost.

Gemologica Unfair business practices! Failure to deliver what I PAID FOR!

My fiancé and I decided to order our engagement rings from Gemologica.com last month in March of 2021. We ordered 2 alexandrite rings we ordered an oval cut set in a silver band and a cushion cut set in a gold band. Waited a couple weeks and when they finally arrived the gold ring was completely wrong it featured a barrel cut that we had never seen before and did not want. We immediately emailed them back to which at first they tried to convince us that's what we ordered then retracted that and said we could return it the next day. They never sent any return packaging or labels or any instructions other than send it back. I sent it back via the USPS and it was stolen by an employee. Now Gemologica is refusing to send the ring I paid for due to the post office not delivering the ring. I paid 670 for this ring and never received what I ordered. If I ordered food and get the wrong food and send it back am I out my money if the driver eats it?

Gemologica jewelry

I purchased a ring from gemologica and found it to be cheaply made and within hours the gemstone fell out. The customer service rep was rude and they refused a full refund. They are a crooked company and very dishonest. Do not buy from them They are scammers. Google gemologica reviews and u will find hundreds of negative ones specifically resellerratings.com. Don't buy into their scam artist customer satisfaction guaranteed lies. They will not fully refund your money. Buyer beware. These people are scammers and the jewelry is worthless. But check the reviews for yourself. Cheers

Gemologica Buyers beware

I bought Polished Textured Trapezoid Shaped Hinged Hoop Earrings In 14K Yellow Gold, item # Q8171. Really liked this one. I ordered and paid an extra fee for a fast delivery.
When I got the earrings, they looked like crap from a thrift shop. I wear only real jewelry and would be embarrassed to wear these earrings. No, really. They looked cheap. I decided to return them and had to pay for the shipping. It's been 2 weeks, there's still no refund. I am waiting.
But I advise you not to order from them and order from elsewhere.

Gemologica Poor quality!

I have ordered a bracelet from www.gemologica.com and paid some extra money for the quick delivery. It was a birthday present so I needed it as soon as possible.
When I received the bracelet I was shocked! It looked absolutely nothing like pictures on their website! I immediately contacted customer service and demanded a full refund. They agreed.
So then I wasted more money to ship the bracelet back!
I'm extremely disappointed with Gemologica and will never buy from them again!

Gemologica Goods not received no refund

I placed an order for a baby gift, a ring in december, paid via paypal, still have not had delivery in february,
Lodged complaint with payapl, they have been given post tracking number that says delivered, so they will not take it further, i have asked on more than 15 occassions to get a refund as they have no signature and i have not had the goods
Gemologica never, nbver reply either via the website or via e amil

Gemologica Horrible company

This company is absolutely horrible. I ordered a men's sapphire and white gold ring from Gemologica for $250.00. What a mistake that was. First off, it took forever to be shipped, and when I emailed customer service (because they are so bootleg and unprofessional to not even have a phone number), some worker named Judy, could not even write a complete response without having grammatical errors in her writing. Now, that should ring bells automatically because no respectable company should have inept workers working for them.

Now when we finally got the ring, it came in a flat white box. When we opened the box, inside was the packaging and holding for earrings! If you're gonna get a ring, have it come in the appropriate box. And do not have earring holders inside of the box either. The company probably wanted to fill up the space in the box (being that it wasn't the right box- and it was cheap and made of cardboard). Also, no certification for the ring was included, so you could be buying fake rings.

Now the actual ring... This ring was a joke. The ring was supposed to be white gold- and white gold usually has some weight to it. This ring did not. What so ever. The inside of the ring was hollow and not the same texture all around. You could probably cut your finger from the inside of the ring. The stone most likely not sapphire, just a toy gem. The ring was a size bigger than I wanted, their mistake. The ring honestly could have broke if pushed on hard enough. It was truly a let down.

Now we're in the process of returning the ring. They certainly have this part detailed so beware. There is a restocking fee that you'll have to pay, shipping and handling. There are no full refunds which is a major let down. We should not have 20% of our money taken for absolute garbage. This place needs to be out of business. CUSTOMERS DO NOT BUY ANY ITEM OR LET THESE PEOPLE SCAM YOU!

Gemologica I never received the goods I purchased

5 years I ago I made the mistake of purchasing a $320 0.5carat heart gold pendant from Gemologica. I informed them the first time that I never received the pendant and so they sent me a claim form to complete. I completed that and then they said that they would send another one. I didn't receive it,
They would not send another claim form. I did not take it any further. I was very silly for spending my money on this company's goods. Never again. Please do not trust them. I only now know that I should have gone to Paypal back five years and ago and put in a claim.

Gemologica Bad quality and service

I ordered a Black Onyx and Diamond Men's ring on December 05, 2010. This is a custom made ring so I understood it would take 10-15 days to process. I paid $25 for express shipping because it was for a birthday gift on December 28th. Well after no update emails I called customer service on December 23rd. The woman that answered advised me she would send a request to the customer's department and I would recived an email by the end of the day. Well I did not receive an email but on December 27th I received a call from them advising me the Onyx stone was recevied damaged from there vendor. My options were get a refund or they could re-order the stone. I chose for them to just re-order the stone because they advised me they should have it the first week of January. I asked if I could get a discount or be refunded my shipping becasue of this. The woman advised me they could refund my $25 shipping but then it would just be shipped standard and not priority. I just said ok but though to myself does she actually think they are doing me a favor by doing that. Well now it was the middle of January and no updates from the company. I called customer service again on January 21st. I received the same response as before "I will send a request to our custom order department and you will receive an email by the end of the day." Well guess what no email. On January 26th I logged in to their website to see if my status has changed and it says the ring has shipped. At this point I have not received any sort of update email from them or an email with the tracking information. The next day with still no update I sent them an email asking for the tracking information. They were very speedy in responding to my email with the tracking information. To this day I have still never received an automated email from them or is a tracking number located in my account on there website. I received the ring on January 29th. I opened it and was very unsatisfied. The ring was very light and hallow. Plus there was a dint on one side of the ring. I am just keeping the ring because after the experience I had with them I never want to deal with them again. Also if you read there website for a custom order I will pay a 20% restocking fee plus they will deduct the shipping from the return amount plus I will have to pay to ship it back. BEWARE BEFORE YOU MAKE A PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!

Gemologica Not what I paid for

A sad experience - after one year the so-called "solid gold" received for $100 was stained and looked like a cheap plated oxidized metal. Most probably the stones are not genuine too - no proof of authenticity received with the purchase.
Getting in touch with the customer support was another experience, they recommended going to a local jeweler to clean the tin.
What must have been a beautiful set of garnet earrings ended up as a great headache. A waste of time and money.

The earrings that you purchased are indeed solid 10K gold. All products are guaranteed to be as stated, which is why it was suggested that you take them to a local jeweler to confirm what is already known - that they are indeed solid 10K gold. And you certainly should have done this before posting slanderous comments.

Gemologica Misleading Size Advertisement

Gemologica.com is engaged in false advertisement of it's earrings. Item# P998, is described as "Child's 4mm Pink Topaz 14K White Gold Earrings". Item# P473 is described as "14K White Gold Kid's Screw Back Pink Topaz Stud Earrings, 3mm". Upon receiving my order, I noticed the stones seemed small, so after measuring P998, I found the supposed 4mm earrings actually measured 3mm and P473, the 3mm earrings actually measured 2mm. I immediately called the company and was told that you can't use a ruler, that you need a special gemologists tool to measure the mm's correctly, which is ridiculous. No where on the web site does it say anything about the sizes (in this case mm) not being in actual/real world sizes. This is extremely misleading and should be in plain sight on the web site.

I purchased a men's white gold topaz ring from Gemologica that they said list for $525 and sold to me for $310. The ring is hollow behind the stone and soooo thin and cheaply made! The stone even wiggles! I sent them an email asking them where this ring lists for $525. All they replied was that I can return it. To return it they want 10% restocking fee, plus what they paid to ship it to me plus I need to pay to ship it back. Please buy somewhere else!
