My promotional purchase (fees for dental service) was to become due on June 6/11/06. On 5/14/06 I had my credit card send an electronic payment for the entire principle of the loan. I have the confirmation number of this transaction. For some unknown reason, which GE Money Bank has refused to explain, this payment was returned to my credit card. Immediately upon the notice of its return, I sent a letter to them asking for the reason for the return of the electronic payment. I have the letter from my credit card company to substantiate this rejection. I then replied with two payments within the specified time. I was overseas at the time, and although I immediately made payment, GE Money Bank did not credit the payments to my account until June 17, 2006. Of course, this made the payment APPEAR to be delinquent. Since then, I have sent at least 9 letters, including documentation, called their toll free number numerous times. Each time I called I was told to put my complaint in writing. Each written response was followed with a form letter asking me to phone their toll free number. One representative suggested that I might FAX the information. I did this TWICE and never received the courtesy of a reply. Meanwhile, the account has been referred to a collection agency and finally to an attorney. The total amount GE claims that I now owe in finance charges and late fees is $2,126.76 ALL IN INTEREST and LATE FEES. Although the federal and state consumer regulations state that the creditor must answer written complaints within a specified time, this has yet to be done.

I have 2 accounts with GE Money Bank I over paid on one account 100 dollars The other account balance was 108.49. I asked that the 100 dollars I overpaid be transferred to the other account for payment. I was told NO PROBLEM. Well when I recieved my bill I was given the same balance with finance charges and late charges. I was told they transferred that 100 dollars of my money to someone elses account! They told me they would fix it. Well they didn't this started in august of 2008 and it is now December. I am put on hold for hours at a time and have spoken to 10 people who are brain dead because they can't seem to correct the problem. I wanted to write to the president but he is obviously to busy to handle his customers or oversee his staff. I see that he has a web site all about himself but no email address to write him. His website states he likes to travel and play golf Maybe that's all he does. As I write this I have been on hold for 40 minutes so far. This is my 11th call!

Both my husband and I have GE Money Bank and have fallen on hard
times. I have sent paperwork in showing proof of our income and they say they never recieved it. They supposedly sent out more paperwork 2 weeks ago but I stiil have nothing. My husband made arrangements like so many others and they call every day and tell him to send more. I used my friends phone to call them one time, and then they started calling her. I never gave them the number. When I asked why they called this number they said " this is the last number you called us on". They call my cell and my husbands cell constantly. I don't even answer my phone anymore.

This company is a scam in my opinion! My credit score is 780 i've been in good standings with other creditors! For some reason, this company delays the payment process to get you to pay late penalties. December 15, 2007 was a saturday i had spoken to there customer service because of a late fee for the previous month for a online payment that was not credited! I then proceeded to pay over the phone with my account for both months. Janurary 8, 2008 i received a phone call stating i was late two month and that there was insufficient funds! Not true, december 14 was a friday which my company direct deposits on time! This is the same problem for someone else i know who has dealt with this co. Do yourself a favor, i recommend not doing business with ge money bank! I'm going to pay off this account and close the account! Live and learn. . .

Troubleshooting reference from purchase does not suggest tearing apart and checking drain... Calling for service does not suggest either... Set up appointment does not suggest... Tech shows up... "happens all the time" not covered under warranty... Need payment of 131.00.

Not happy at all... Talked with customer service, no help at all.

Dear GE
I received a letter of a bogus account opened in your company under my name. I say bogus because I never authorize this application to go through; therefore I request that you please fix this problem and make sure it does not affect my credit. I have also reported this matter to Equifax. Please help me resolve this matter because I will take no financial responsibility for any purchases made under my name with the account you have given to someone I don't know.Any questions please call me, I will need a spanish translator.

Sincerely, Jesus Castillo

I bought a 08LL Ge window air-conditioner and in came damaged and never worked. I contacted repair and still 7 weeks later it's not fixed. I will never buy GE again! I don't trust consumer reports either. They gave the model under it a good CR only to find out it was a discontinued model so they tested the 08LL and it became discontinued a month after they came out with it. Maybe these two companies should quit deceiving their customers? Never, never, again will I buy GE. No wonder they are trying to sell they're appliance division.

I purchased a GE washer model wpe6100g2wt, on 8/17/08. I had to call the repairman on 9/10/08, the machine needed a new motor and transmission. It was replaced10/17/08. Today, 11/1/08, it has started to leak again as before, only now it is spraying water out of the top onto the controls. I would not recommend buying this model, but as long as they want to fix it every month, its there money.
I know its under warranty, so go ahead and fix it, fix it every month, I bought the extended warranty for 2 years...According to the invoice I signed to show they fixed it, it would have cost me $250.09. I figure if it breaks every month for the next 3 years it will cost GE $9003.24, this does not include inflation...so GE thanks for the most expensive washer you make!

Charges late fees even when I sent registered mail. I have to send numerous letters and even after they write back to credit my account with late fees and finance charges will not stop calling.

They call at all hours of the day/night and any day of the week. I have repeatedly told them to stop calling as my mother is terminal and doesn't need the harassment.

Will not let me speak for her even though we have written asking them to do so since she is sick and I have power of attorney. They use auto dial and then we have to wait and wait and wait to talk to someone and then they are extremely rude.

I had Brian the last time and I asked if he spoke English (since I've had non conversations with some customer service people that don't speak English or pretend not to) to which his response was "What kind of question is that". Not yes maam, or How can I help you?

Repeatedly asked him not to call - asked to speak to my ill mother, said he would call back. I said no I am speaking on her behalf and kept asking if she was there to talk with.

I realize that they are doing their jobs but this is NOT any way to treat customers especially after I read a letter that I received just 1 hour prior that stated that all charges were being taken off the account.

In 1 week, they should have received notice from the Texas office that the charges were removed and yet they still call and have continued to do so until the present day.

The last thing my sick mother needs is to be harassed by these calls since it is so difficult for her to even answer the phone.

She has been a responsible single mother all her life, always paying her bills and on time and this is just unacceptable to be treated in this manner.

I've decided that I am going to pursue this farther to anyone who will listen and I am presently writing a letter to the Attorney General's office.

I OPENED AN ACCOUNT WITH CARE CREDIT IN ORDER TO JOIN A WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM BUT I DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO UTILIZE THIS ACCOUNT BECAUSE THE WEIGHT LOSS CENTER WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. SO WHEN I STARTED RECEIVING BILLS IN THE MAIL, I INFORMED THEM OF THIS SITUATION. NEXT, COLLECTION AGENCIES AND LAWYERS ARE CONTACTING ME IN REGARDS TO A PAST DUE AMOUNT OF MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL LOAN AMOUNT. AGAIN, THE SITUATION WAS EXPLAINED TO EACH PERSON I SPOKE WITH TRYING TO "COLLECT" THIS MONEY. NOW IT IS ON MY CREDIT REPORT AND ANOTHER LENDER HAS "PURCHASED" THE ACCOUNT. IS THIS FAIR THAT I STILL "OWE" THIS MONEY, EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T SPENT? WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THIS?

Three months ago, we purchased a flat screen TV from PC Richards and arranged for 12 mos. 0% financing with GE Money Bank, and in that short period of time, we can honestly say that we will never EVER do financing with GE Money Bank again. No bills; no credit card; lingering charges which we were ASSURED would be removed from our account; rude customer service personnel who have such a heavy accent it is impossible to understand them; and refusal to allow us to speak to a department manager. Shame on PC Richards for dealing with such a shoddy company. Until they change their financing company, we will not be purchasing anything from PC Richards, whether financed or not.

I paid my GE Money Bank account off and I noticed there was still withdrawing payments for town months until I noticed. I called there customer service number and they said they would send me a check for the "credit" balance. I also CLOSED the account! The next month the withdraw still happened again! So again I had to call there customer service number and be hold for a long time to get my money back. No apology or nothing. The customer service Rep. also told me that the payments were setup by my bank. I called my bank and they said there was NO transactions set. Taking my money while NOT authorized and lying, what a company. I will not even by GE light bulbs anymore. I asked for an extra $40 for the trouble not once but twice and They would not do that for me.

GE Money Bank sent a letter to our home lowering my credit limit due to a TRW that I did not authorize. It said I was delinquent. I have never been delinquent with them. GE Money Bank holds two of my credit cards. My JC Penney and my PC Richards. It said I was delinquent on my PC Richards within the last twelve months. I haven't used that card in two years. When I called I was told it was based on my credit report. My wife's wasn't touched. I find that odd. Yes we both own different cards but the bulk of our credit is owed together.
I think they are doing this to destroy peoples credit. I think they are doing this to me because I do not use their credit cards enough. Either way They should be stopped. I don't know how to report them.

I have a GE card through a company I bought eyeglasses from. For the past year and a half I have paid all but one payment on time. This month I went online to make a payment (which is how I pay every month) and the system is requiring me to put in my original email address. I forgot the email so I called customer service. The woman (who barely understood me) said she couldn't tell me my original address. I asked if she could waive the fee for payments over the phone this one time while I tried to resolve the problem. She said no and said, "since you're payment will probably be late just send in a check to the address on the bill." I replied that that is a great idea, but in the year and a half of having this card I haven't received one piece of mail from them EVEN though I have called three times to verify they had the right address.

Long story short... They can call you a million times a day before noon if you're late, but they can't help you pay on time.

Bought new air conditioners and financed over 20K with GE Money. My husband and I had to each open an account as the maximum was 15K. I made my first payment over the phone because the online process wasn't available. Made the second payment via my banks online bill pay and accidentally switched the payments. Sent my payments to my husbands account and his to mine which left my account with an amount due. I discovered the problem immediately and contacted GE Money to explain the error and to get the amounts credited to the correct accounts. After 6 phone calls, all promising to take care of the problem, nothing was done. Today we called and asked to speak with a supervisor, again. The hold message stated that "the escalation department was experiencing high call volume." The escalation department? We were connected with a supervisor who told us they would not transfer the payments to the correct accounts and that they didn't need to fix my mistake. I just needed to pay the difference that was due. When confronted about all the previous conversations with other GE Money employees including supervisors..she stated there was nothing she could do. When I asked to speak with her supervisor, she refused. Consumer's beware...GE Money could care less about their customers.

I just got my first bill from GE Money Bank. I sent the payment in actullay doubled the payment so I could pay it off faster. Then this month I get a 39.99 late fee for the very first transaction in the loan. I called the person on other end said I should be able to tell him when I got the bill in the mail. I asked if he could tell me when it was sent if true it took the US Gov 3 weeks for the bill to get here leaving me 1 day to pay. SORRY I ever did buisness with them. I tried to participate in the online survey but once I was not satisfied with the service I was no longer allowed to participate I was cut off. Guess if you always get happy people in your survey you always look good. They should be investigated by KY AG Office for preditory lending! But I will pay my loan and try not to do buisness with them again. I hope all who read this check this group out before you buy from your favorite buisness they will not be able to help you with this bunch. Could ruin your opinion of the buisness you had liked.

I opened an account through GE Money for a HH Gregg credit card. I purchased several appliances (all that were "GE" brand). I had a promotion expiring in 9/2008 with about $1, 200 to pay off. In August, I knew I wasn't going to have enough money to cover it so I called and spoke to a customer service rep in India named "Mark" (they are using fake names). I was assured that they would extend my promotion for 6 months. I asked for this in writing and for some reason they are unable to provide documentation (they can't provide anything in writing). So, a few days later I called back and spoke to an Indian female to verify this information. She again, assured me that this information was documented in the "notes" so I felt confident. By the way, their "notes" get erased on a regular basis. So, of course when I got my next statement I had $1, 800 in finance charges. I talked to several supervisors and no one was willing to help. The only thing they offered was to waive half of the finance charges. So, I paid the remaining balance and finance charges so I didn't effect my credit. I still am having problems with where my payments are being applied. I've written to the president of HH Gregg, GE, and GE Money. I recieved a respone in a letter which pretty much avoided the above. So, I recently just sent another letter and I'm waiting for a response. Apparently, they think it's okay to lie and mislead customers. They are not helpful whatsoever and there is no one willing to listen or help. I would record any phone conversations you have with them. They do not want you to do it but it is the only proof you will have. This is a major scam that is going on. Anytime I finance anything again my first question will be who is it through. If it's GE Money you just lost my business.

I have an account with GE Money with a limit of $5500. The account was opened last year when my daughter had oral surgery and our insurance did not cover all the charges. I have more than $5400 available for use and therefore I owe less than $100. The payment was due on 8/15/09. When I went on line to make the payment that day at 6:15 am, there was already a late fee attached to the account even though the payment was NOT late. I made the payment and got an email confirmation.

Immediately I called GE customer service to ask why a late fee was attached to the account even though I have never EVER made a late payment and the payment was NOT late this time. The Rep Frank assured me the late charge will be taken off as I made the payment on the due date. I looked at the account on 9/11 (almost a month after) to make my final payment due 9/15/09, only to find the late charge from last month still there.

I called customer service again and explained to the Rep the erroneous late fee of last month and request it be taken off. She immediately went into "bad attitude" with me. "Ma'am", she said, "I will remove it as a one time goodwill offer". I stopped her. I asked "What do you mean a goodwill offer. You add a late fee to my account which is incorrect. You are not doing me a favor by removing it. You have to remove it."

That was when her rage really came to the forefront. She told me that even if I did pay on the due date, I should have paid BEFORE, so the late charge is valid. I couldn't believe that customer service was so dead at GE Money, that it was permissable for their Reps to rage at customers. I asked to speak to a supervisor. His name was Steven. I related my experience to him and asked him about their late charge process. He had the good grace to say it was an error and it was removed from my account.

I logged on to my account today 9/13/09, only to find the charge still there. Now this is $29.00, and while it is not a large amount of money, it is the principle behind it. If I have to take this all the way to small claims court to have it removed, I will.

Customer Service is dead and buried at GE MONEY. What a shame.

GE Money Bank does not identify the original vendor on its invoices and will not provide the identity of the original vendor to anyone other than the card holder claiming "privacy laws." There is nothing private about the original vendor and Geonlineservices' failure to identify said vendor creates a situation where well-meaning customers can easily pay the loan amount more than once, while GE Money Bank hides behind bogus claims of privacy.

Well, I wish I had came here before opening an account with this company. It begin when I had set up auto pay, when my payment failed to come through the bank I checked my account and found out auto pay magically was turned off which of course made my first payment late. Because they claim I was late, I was slapped with a 39.98 late fee and a returned check fee of 39.98. I'm not quite sure how they can can get away with this.
I called to talk with customer survive, WOW! they must be the most unhappy people out there, this lady had the worst attitude.
They wont talk about what happened and try to help you understand why. I have never been treated so crappy when speaking to customer service. I asked this lady how much my payment was, she told me "I cant tell you", "it's a different department", What? she had my account pulled up looking at it! Long story short I ended up paying a 15$ over the phone payment charge.
I ask her why was auto pay turned off?, her answer was I was one digit off on routing #. I can understand my making that mistake, but they could have contacted me about the issue, the lady says "we sent you a letter . Of course I never recieved one.

Ok I set auto pay up again, which as most of you know can take up to 30 days to activate. I asked them if auto pay was going to take out my payment or if I needed to go ahead and make the payment over the phone, their answer wasit wouldn't come out till next month. The day after paying over the phone, auto pay took out 2 payments, and charged me two over the phone payments of 15$ each. In 2 days I ended up paying 149.00, 160.00, 160.00, 15.00, 15.00.
I called my bank the next morning, took out a loan and paid this company off, closed account. Lets just hope I dont hear from them again. I will take the time to post this story anywhere I can to prevent you all from having the headaches I have from this company!

I bought this washing machine about 6 months ago and had problems with it from day 1. I had a noise when washing tub was agitating but I thought it was loaded unevenly or too full but it was then obvious it was none of those things. The noise was a grinding sound and now after 6 months the tub assembly doesn't agitate at all. I would never recommend this machine to anyone and it's a disgrace that after 6 months there is already a problem that numerous other people have experienced so it is obviously a flaw in this product. Keep up the good work G.E. this is the last time I will waste my money on something you've made.

GE Money has lowered the credit limits on all 4 of my good accounts with them; they also cancelled one fully paid up account that I used for repairs to my home. They claim it was due to a review of my credit report, which until they upped the "good" credit numbers, was fairly good. This damaged my credit score and report because they lowered my credit limits to the current balance amount, so that rather than being at a reduced debt:limit percentage, I am now at maximum. I am told there is nothing I can do about it. I would happily join a class action suit for arbitrarily damaging my credit.

Contact thes organization GE Money bank is under their regulatory jurisdiction http://www.ots.treas.gov. They tell GE if there is a problem fix it.. then here comes thier calls... they are at your mercy.. I was being charged twice a month every time the month ended in 31 days... what the hell was that about, not only that, my friend told me read your contract, when I read it to my friend he said oh oh.. they're in trouble.. READ YOUR CONTRACT, KEEP ALL YOUR BILLS, CALL THE OTS "OFFICE OF THRIFT SUPERVISORS.. we have to do research forget the company find out who regulates them.. and write them with your complaints.. this is the only way we could fight back, I did it and was soooo surprised, that now they want to work with me.. but you know, I might file a suit instead... and I think we should all think this way.. I'm tired. I'm broke and in debt and they werent making my life any easier.. and the heartbreaking part is we are all struggling, these are hard times for everyone.. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING GE MONEY BANK!

On July 29, I was called by a GE rep that informed me that they had not received my July payment. I immediately made a payment by phone, for which I was charged a 10.00 fee for the trouble. I checked my bank statement when I got home and found that they had received the payment and GE cashed the check on July 9. I called them back and was told to fax the statement to [protected]. I checked with them two weeks later and was told that these things sometimes takes 3-4 weeks and to call back the following week. I called on Aug. 20 and was told that they had never received the fax and to refax. I confirmed the number, refaxed the information and asked for a confirmation call, which never came. I called on Aug. 28, I was told the fax machine was down and I would have to send it by mail. I did a search and found an account of this same scenario from 2007 along with tens of thousands of other complaints about this company. I mailed the information on Sept. 2 and it was signed for on Sept. 8. I spoke with a rep on Sept. 15 and was told that the payment would be applied on the Oct. statement. When it did not appear, I called yet again and was told by an Escalation Specialist that it would take 1-2 billing cycles. I called on Oct. 20 and Chris #7099 confirmed that my July payment had been applied to a different account due to a scanning issue (the scanner misread the account number that a GE employee had recorded on the check). He said it would be put on a priority status and would appear within 30 days. I paid off the entire balance on Nov. 4 and sent a letter stating that the final payment had been made and the account was paid in full.

I called on Nov. 12 to check the progress and was told by Pam #71549 that the processing of research had JUST been started on Nov. 11. with no explanation for why. On Dec. 1, I spoke with Steven #74202 to check progress and was told it would be another 1-2 billing cycles and that nothing could be done to rectify the mistake they made. I reminded this rep that the balance was paid and the only outstanding was money they already had. He said that until they resolved it, I would be charged with late fees and possibly reported to a collection agency. On Dec. 12, I spoke with Barbara #BFA who guaranteed the payment would be posted by midnight that night. I called on Dec. 15, and not only had it not been applied, I now had a 39.00 late fee attached. I spoke with Nate #74227 who informed me that they had just sent a letter to me requesting a front AND back copy of the check along with a letter from my bank. When I asked why this had not been the request back on July 29, there was no reason given. I reminded him that GE confirmed back on Oct. 20 that they knew they had the money and even knew the account to which it had been applied. It made no difference to this company.

I got the proof they requested and sent it with a four-page letter from my lawyer threatening legal action if they didnt get their act together. I finally received a letter on Dec. 30 with the resolution and a half-hearted apology for any inconvenience this may have caused.

This company is expert at lying and giving its customers the runaround. It would seem that there is a script they follow to make the process of correcting their mistakes as long and as frustrating as possible. It took five months, over 20 phone calls, research and a scathing letter from my attorney to get them to correct the mistake they knew they made. This letter was also sent to three CEO;s, Mark Begor, Jeff Immelt and William Cary. I have not had the courtesy of a response from these three gentlemen. Judging by the amount of online complaints, I can only assume that they have too many to respond personally. I was never allowed to speak to anyone in the Research Dept. Their customer reps were rude and condescending. I am recommending that the physician who set me up with this Mickey Mouse company find another bank to provide credit to his patients. I would suggest that anyone with a dispute, get an attorney on board immediately, keep records of whom you speak with and what you are told.

This institution DOES NOT operate like a reputable bank. I filed a dispute with them back in October 2008. I havee been receiving phone calls and letters that they still want me to pay on the disputed item. They are the credit provider for American Laser Centers. The BIGGEST SCAM out there in the healthcare field. They have now filed with the Credit reporting agencies and it is ruingin my credit. They are a scam and do not care about their customers.

In November of 2010 I opened an account with Carecredit through GE Money bank. I've had nothing but problems since. I made one purchase at my eye doctor with the card for 130 dollars. I paid the amount in full by the due date. GE Money claims they never received my payment. They then added a late fee onto the next statement. I paid this also even though I shouldn't have had too. GEMB is still claiming I never paid them and has not sent me a statement for the past two months, but reported I was 30 and 60 days late to all of the credit bureaus. I contacted the Office of Thrift Supervision a few days ago, and am waiting for them to process my complaints against this horrible company. I will definitely be closing my account after OTS investigates my complaints. Never do business with this company!

They claim they did not receive my January or February payment. The bill due was for $148.32 on January 25th and February 25th. I mailed checks for $165.00 and they cashed both checks. On check cleared my bank on January 14th (11 days earlier) and the other on February 6 (19 days early). Not only are my payments for a larger amount than what is due but my payments are always way early. They are calling me daily harassing me, insisting that I'm late in my payments and that late fees are being charged and my account is in collections. I have called them back, I have written them three letters to every address I have for them with copies of my cancelled checks from the bank and they still call me daily, harassing me. They do not respond to my leters.

I entered into a work out program to pay off my debt and I am abiding by the terms of the agreement and making my monthly payments. However, now I am receiving regular calls at home from someone in India claiming there is no program and they demand full payment immediately. They refuse to recognize the plan and are very offensive. What can I do?

Sir,
My Complaint sent to GE is given below which is self explanatory. You are requested to kindly help me in this connection.

Subject: Credit Card No.[protected] - wrongly levied RENEWAL CHARGESDESPITE REJECTION OF RENEWAL

Sir,
My above mentioned Credit Card got expired in the month of July, 2010 and I was interested for renewal but your office rejected my request for renewal and as a result I did not paid any Annual Charges of Rs.499/- towards renewal of my above mentioned credit card.

I paid all the dues in time and the last payment was made through two different cheques after consulting with your Customer Card Officer and getting assurance from him that no extra charges will be levied.

It is deeply regretted, that after sometime (3-4 months) despite assurances, I received a telephonic call on 23.12.2010 from your customer care officer demanding to pay Rs.16-1700 for not paying Annual charges plus penalties. When they warned me that legal action will be taken if this payment is not made as a result of which I agreed to pay Rs.1600/- to GE and waited for 3-4 months but no body from GE turned up. I was very much depressed at that time because in the first week of December my father died.

Now, in the first week of April again your customer care officer contacted me and warned me to pay Rs.3500/- or legal action will be taken.

Sir, it is humbly requested that I was never at fault even then I agreed to pay Rs.1600/- fault was on the part of GE officials but they pressed upon me to pay the amount. But when I agreed, they never contacted after that.

This time they are demanding Rs.3500/- from me but despite my no fault they are warning me and threatening to face dire consequences if this amount is not paid.

You are requested to look into it at the earliest and requested to waive off this amount of Rs.3500/- immediately as despite my interest, my Card was never renewed. On the contrary I am being asked to pay the amount for which my plea for renewal was rejected.

If this undue amount of Rs.3500/- is not waived off, I will forward this grievance letter to RBI and other organizations.

This is my humble request to waive off the amount at the earliest and inform.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

(VIPIN KUMAR)

No interested for 18 months. I paid on time on there web site and on the same time I scheduled the next payment, come to find out you can't do that. You have to wait a day or two before you schedule a payment after making an online payment..
Of course the unethical company GE is, they added on all the accrued interested from last year... I complained, asked for a supervisor with no result...

I now plan on going after the CEO and CFO. Maybe ever try small claims court.
I plan on paying off the balance and put it on another card with a promotional interested rate and close my acc0unt and never buy or do business with any company or product related with GE ever again if possible...

GE Money is a horrible company to deal with. When you call you are hold for a long time. When they do answer, you get someone from India who doesn't speak good enough english to hold a conversation. When you ask to be transferred to a state-side english speaking person they oblige you but you are on hold for a long time. When you finally get the "friendly American" they simply say "NO" and tell you they can't help you. Horrible company to work with. No matter what kind of load you are in need of, go anywhere else. Do NOT use GE MONEY or you will pay ... literally.

I had a 0% 4 year loan. Because of a President's Day holiday my payment was processed one day late. The penaly? 29% interest for the next 30 months plus if you don't pay your newly escalated monthly payment it will cost you a cool $39 for the priviledge.

Just say "NO" to GE MONEY.

Almost too much to detail. Bought a Profile refrigerator about 5 years agoo. Had multiple problems. Terrible rumbling noise that was intermittant. Service came out three times for $100+ each time to no avail. Finally oredered a new part that was a change and noise stopped. Then the cooling was affected. We had two instances of frozen food runined by high tewmperatures. We again had service where the service person defrosted the frost free refrigerator and it worked for awhile. We finally bought a freezer for the garage because we did not trust the one we had paid $2200 for. After this service call we talked with GE and that in itself was a problem. After starting discussions we lost phone contact three times and had to go back into the phone tree all over again. i probably spent 7 hours trying to get some help. The person wanted me to again call for service, at our expense, before she would commit to anything. I did not want to spend any more money on this dead fish. They kept saying why didn't you buy an extended warranty? Should you not expect an appliance to last more than a few years without repeated service calls? and Hundreds of dollars. they finally gave us a "deal" on a trade in. The deal was not anywhere near what it should have been and I am through will GE forever. Jack Welsh had best sell all his stock because this company is in deep trouble.

If you have any opportunity to apply for a credit card as an incentive to receive discounts or a "points program", FIRST check to see if GE Money Bank is the lender. If they are RUN. Don't apply.

Although you pay your bill in full, they invoke a spending limit which immediately reflects on your CBR and lowers your score. GE uses a risk tactic that only favours their position to gain favourable lending terms from larger banks.

They don't give a poor rats behind about your pay history. GE Money Bank...unless you are desperate BAD DEAL!

I owed $400-some to my dentist who referred me to GE Money. The doc said that whatever I owe, I could pay off in 12 months with no interest, same as cash. I just divided the total by 12 months and sent the first payment in. Now I received a statement on which they charged me the finance charge. When I called their customer service, I was told that 12-month same-as-cash applies only to the amount of at least $1000. Well, this is not what I was told by my dentist. It's going to be a nightmare, especially that now I am on a temporary disability and don't work. I fell a victim to some smart sales tactics.

I got a HBC Mastercard (outsourced to GE Money) bill with my last name incorrect and I mean COMPLETELY wrong so I called to rectify, they stated that they would have to ask some security questions and wanted me to chose which banking institution I used. They gave me four choices, none of which was correct so I stated that I did not bank at any of those locations. The reply was that I MUST chose one to proceed with the call. I refused and was told that my account was frozen for 30 days. So I wrote and letter and received a response "When we have completed our review of your account, we will send you a written response with the actions taken on your account" I waited four months and no letter. I called the number on the letter and was told that THEY DID NOT SEND THAT LETTER! When I quoted that I was waiting the written response, I was told that it wasn't them that sent the letter and that my account was still "on hold" pending the security questions...for four months? I asked how to contact the letter sender, they said I could not because my account was frozen. And then in the next breath the supervisor stated that it is very common to accidentally type over persons name on a credit card account statement and it happens all the time...DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. If offered credit through GE money...it would be in your best interest to refuse.

I tried to make online payment at site. I was giving the choice of a minimum payment which I selected. I submitted the payment and I received a new screen saying I forgot to add the date. I added the date to the new payment page and did not notice that I had to reselect my minimum payment again. I submitted my payment, which the site took a complete payment of $1200.00 from my account. There was no following page to correct this mistake and subsequently my bank account was totally liquidated and to follow many overdraft charges. I immediately contact customer service trying to get assistance and everyone I spoke with was arrogant, uncaring and in most cases very rude. I will try to never use the credit line again and I will speak to all my friends regarding this situation. I hope GE goes under, and if so there will be no tears from me. I challenge any Rep from GE to call me and speak with me regarding this situation. I'm sure from the initial response receive by their management staff that they will ignore and of hide from any discussion with me regarding this matter. They are all very good at lying to protect their place so they can take their service and company and stick it where the sun don't shine...

I have dealt with a lot of loans in my life and thought that MBNA was really a horrible company to work with. That was until I had surgery and used the in house financing that went through GE Money Bank. They were doing the "No interest for 1 year!" deal so I thought great! WRONG!
I signed up for the electronic funds transfer option so that I would not miss any payments or be late. I read the fine print and it stated that if you were either of these, they would start charging you interest plus late fees. No problems, until three months ago when for some reason they were "unable to access my account" and they were not getting paid. Nothing on my account changed, money was in the account. I talked to a supervisor who ADMITTED that it was on the company end and deleted the fees and put me back on good standing. Since then I get 5 phone calls a week or more telling me that my account is past due and I am being charged interest plus late fees. I even had one woman tell me that I was being charged late fees DAILY! I spoke to another supervisor who said that he saw I had been talked to and that I owed them late fees plus interest. I explained what had happened and asked him what the previous notes said in my file. He didn't know because he never looked at them. This was typical of ALL the people I had talked too. I would talk to one person in the morning about the issue and later that afternoon a different person would call me about the same issue. They were even calling me at work after I asked them not too. I had many associates hang up on me after I asked to speak to a supervisor. I finally just paid of the principal and closed the account. I told them to never contact me again. I will never go through GE Money Bank again and will urge everyone I know to stay clear of them.
