I bought my GE stove from a local Sears store, I haven't had it a month and it broke. The broiler is faulty. I had only tried the broiler one time which it didn't work. Sears is willing to fix it but I feel the stove is only a month old the stove itself should be replaced. I called GE and talked to a consumer representative then a supervisor in which they told me it is stated in the warranty "they will replace faulty parts but not a stove unless its unfixable." My stove is fixable it needs a new unit boiler and sensor assembly however it is only a month old. The GE company told me if I wanted a new stove I had to contact Sears. I told them no its not there responsibility, Sears didn't manufacture the stove GE did. I told them there are the ones that sent Sears the faulty stove which in turn gave it to me. GE's statement was "we are standing behind our warranty" I told them that was fine if the stove was a couple of months old but thats not the case its only barely a month and the broiler didn't work the first use. They told me again they were standing behind there warranty. I told them fine I would call my Sears store and have them replace it but it will not be with an GE product. That they lost my business!! I told them I wanted a company to stand behind the product not a piece of paper. They ended the conversation with "we are standing behind or product by sticking with the warranty." I told them that was not could enough!!!
