General Electric dishwasher pdw9280j10ss

I have always used GE because I considered them "the best" until there was an electrical fire in my dishwasher. I didn't know that the unit had been recalled some three years ago. Thank heavens there was no real damage other than the appliance. When I contacted GE I was informed there was a rebate - I had to buy the $899 unit to get $200 back. This is absurd! After I paid for the delivery and the ten year warranty the unit is actually coming in at $1562! So I'm forced to buy an expensive new GE product so I can save $200. There is something wrong with this picture. This was a defective product - dishwashers last for years. Shame on you GE, shame!

General Electric ge microwave model #jvm6175ek1es serial #rg219301b

Completely quit working on March 29th. Only have owned it since Nov. 14th. I called customer service & they set me up an appointment for April 5th. The service tech said it needed a new circuit control panel & would have to be ordered. The next appointment was for the following week. I had someone wait that entire day & no one showed. I called the service company when I got home from work that day & was told that the part was on back order. They didn't know when it would be in & said to contact GE. When I did they told me it was back ordered until June 16th. At that point I asked if they would just send me a new one. The person I was talking to sent me to a customer service representative named Doris. I told her the situation & she set me up with a case #[protected] & told me I would have to email her a copy of my bill from where I bought it. She told me the phone # & extension to get back a hold of her([protected] ext. 6602. At that point I received her email & immediately sent a picture of my bill. After not hearing anything for about a week I called back & talked to another customer representative, since Doris would not or had not contacted me back. She told me that they had not received the picture of the bill & I would have to resend it. So, I resent it & that lady let me know they did receive & would have my case worker contact me back. When I didn't hear from anyone I called Doris back a couple days later. Her voicemail says she will contact you back within 24 to 48 hours of your call & that your business is very important to us. Obviously not true because there was no contact back for an entire week. When she finally contacted me back my family & I were on vacation out of state. However I answered the phone & she preceded to tell me that I was approved to get a new microwave, but unfortunately they didn't have my particular model. That was on May 18th already 7 weeks after the microwave has been down. I told her I would contact her the following Monday to find out my options & go from there. I did call back on that Monday, after not being able to contact her, I called customer service & talked to another representative. I told her the whole situation & she looked at the case file & said that the reason I couldn't get a new one was because there is no one in my area that one could be sent to me. She then decided to contact the place where I bought it & find out if they could send me a new one & GE would reimburse them. While I waited on the line she said the person she had to contact was gone for the day & would have to call back the next day. She would pass on the info. along to my case worker & she would get back to me. Since she hasn't, I've called everyday since then to try find out something, I've talked to at least 5 different customer service people since then & still no answers. I've asked everyone of them to please contact me back with information & to please keep me updated. I'm not a person that gets ticked off to easily, but I think I've been more than patient. It has been more than 2 months without a microwave & with 3 kids at home it's been very frustrating to say the least. All I wanted is good customer service & I didn't get that at all. If this email finds somebody who gives a crap about this, I would appreciate getting this issue resolved as soon as possible & get a new microwave.
Very unhappy customer,
Brandon Kanatzar

General Electric dishwasher

I purchased a new house February 2016, with the new house came a new GE dishwasher. Within 6 months (September 2016) of moving in the dishwasher had a foul odor coming from inside the dishwasher. I have had the GE technicians come to the house 5-6 times (Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, March 2017, May 2017), 3 different liquids/acids/chemicals poured in to the dishwasher and all the tubing replaced.

The odor still exists and I have had a 2nd opinion from a different plumber that says all other plumbing lines are right and that the disposal is not the source. After talking to GE they state that because the dishwasher operates properly, they will do nothing about the odor.

General Electric service technician availability/overall quality of products

Good Morning,

I had an appointment to have my dishwasher repaired today, which my husband took off from work to accommodate the 8-5pm window. At 9:48 am today, I received an email that my appointment was changed to June 8th. This is far from the first time that we have had this issue. I have learned that there is only one technician for my area that only comes here on Thursdays. So I have to wait a whole week, then if a part is needed we have to wait another week and so on. I have been down this road too many times with your company so I will no longer purchase GE products and recommend friends/family to understand the service availability in their locations prior to purchasing anything from GE.

I truly don't understand why your company doesn't sub-contract out this work so you could have greater coverage. Also the quality has not lived up to its reputation as I have had to place more service calls with my GE appliances then I ever did with all of my Kenmore ones. Lesson learned.

I do not want any compensation or contact from GE. I am far beyond that. I have provided my contact information below only for the purpose of having your company research my complaints so you can hopefully make changes to your business model so others do not experience what I have.

Last week the 25th the heater would not work anymore . Call GE tech support and trouble shoot the unit. Afterwards we ordered the part to fix it, shipping should of been overnight but the part never came in. So we had to call in today to reorder the part again. General Electric washer/dryer

Hello:
I am very upset due to what happened yesterday.
First let me just say I got a washing machine in February, 2017., and ge tech came a week ago stating that transmission is bad and needed to be replaced.
Ordered parts, they arrived on Thursday this week.
I had an appt on Friday from 1-5. The appt was made by 3rd party( people who helped purchase and install the washer thru hgregg).
I waited all day, missed a very important meeting and tech still didn't show. I tried calling at 4 to ge finding out where he was., I was told that he was on the way to me. I told them that I didn't receive a call.
I gave ge my number...
The next thing I know is when I contacted ge at 5:30 and they told me that he could not get an access to the bld.
What?
Please investigate this and fire this tech! This is unacceptable!
His Id # 024,
And confirmation # is [protected].
My number is [protected]
And I need a speedy resolution for ge tech coming and fixing my washer!

General Electric product doesn't last - appliances

We purchased a GE refrigerator and a GE stove for a kitchen remodel. They both broke down at the same time yesterday. The refrigerator repair (because they refused to replace.), couldn't happen because the repairman did not have GE parts, only frigidaire...really? He has to come back next week (after the long weekend), so that the refrigerator leaks all over the new wood floor all weekend.

We were told that they would fix the stove, in a month!

General Electric faulty peb1590snss profile convection microwave oven

We paid almost 700$ for a PEB1590SMSS Profile convection microwave, and we loved it. But, after 3.75 years it needed a new motherboard & microswitch. Now, it's 4.5 years old and it needs a new harness! In addition, to the expensive microwave, we paid almost 300$ for the trim kit. It seems we have a lemon and we don't want to keep paying for more and more costly repairs, not to mention the hassle for waiting for repair guys and being without a microwave! But it seems like we need to buy a new microwave and trim kit!? All our appliances are GE Profile, and we want to keep our appliances consistent, but don't want to pay for a new expensive microwave and trim kit every 3 years! It seems like GE is trying to scam customers by discontinuing their products and forcing customers to buy new versions, when their faulty products fail. For such an expensive item, I expect it to last at least as long as a cheap microwave, not half as long! We can't even relate how disappointed we are with GE!

General Electric ge washing machine

22 month old wasing machine broken again. Machine was rebuilt twice within 1st year of ownership. Found out yesterday that there are 2 technicians for all of Central Virginia and 1 of them is out due to injury. Been without a washing machine for 1 full week as of today with no hope of a repair. Had appt on Monday but missed the technician's call where he left a message saying he was leaving the area. I had a confirmed appointment between 1 and 5 p.m. and I was at my house mowing the front yard and waiting, I was never told that I must reconfirm with the technician or I would lose my appointment.
This is the LAST time I will ever purchase a GE product. $800.00 for a machine that lasted 22 months, what a RIPOFF!

General Electric ge profile over the range microwave - magnetron failed at 22 months

5/7/2017
GE Profile PVM9195DF2BB over the range microwave quit cooking. When you microwaved a glass of water everything seemed to work but the water never heated up.

Called local dealer who is an authorized GE repair service. Repair person diagnosed magnetron. Service call $69, new magnetron $117, labor $60. Darn expensive for a pretty new unit. We've had microwaves go for 10 years without problems. I wonder if GE bought the lowest price part?

The one year warranty is a joke. GE should cover my expense.

General Electric ge front load washer

I am the proud owner of a GE Front Load Washer and Dryer. It has served me well of the year and I have recommended the GE Brand to my neighbors in my subdivision. Grant it, my unit is not new, things DO happen with age.

On Friday, my washer stopped draining. I called the GE Repair line and scheduled an appointment for service. ALL aspects of the unit worked wonderfully until the drain stopped functioning. I took towels to soak up the standing water and unplugged the unit until the scheduled repair could be completed.

Well... TODAY the GE Repair person came by. It was not the gentleman I am used to seeing - but a repair is a repair - or so I thought. Everything SEEMED ok. He removed the lower plate on the washer and asked for a bucket. In addition to the water that came out - it appeared to be a gain like substance similar to sand in the drain. He asked me if we had gone to the beach - while African-American's DO go to the beach I assured me that we did not have sand to recall to have been built up in the drain. He then surmised that perhaps it was a rug and the backing on the rug produced sediment. (Who knows?). I was given a bill for over $200.00 and expected "life as normal"... until after paying for the repair he said I should NOT use the unit again. I was rather confused since the basket in the unit NEVER made any noise - and as far as we could tell - except for the drain everything was ok with the washer. I asked him how long would it be before I would need a NEW washer, he insisted I would NOT BE ABLE TO USE THIS WASHER ANYMORE. Still a bit confused, I allowed him to proceed so that he could GO! He gave me a receipt and a form to get $50 (or slightly more) on a NEW washer and he went his way.

ASSUMING that since the drain was the only malady on my machine, I put two towels in the washer as I was grateful to have my machine fixed. THEN---- the basket started KNOCKING and smoke was everywhere. Needless to say, I had to unplug it and off I am to BUY A NEW

Herein lies my problems. If he knew that this washer model had the likelihood of being broken beyond the drain - I would gladly pay for his trip to my home - and NOT paid for a drain repair for a machine that ONLY had drainage problems. I went to Lowe's and recounted what happened and without stating my grief - the appliance salesman agreed with me that this repair person likely sabotaged the event in order for me to BUY A NEW WASHER. I am woefully disappointed that I need to look for a new washer POST REPAIR OF MY PRESENT WASHER. I wish I had asked someone OTHER than a GE Certified Repair person to come to my home. This gentleman is why people choose competitors - he was the exemplification of poor customer service.

I must now weigh my options in making a purchase I was not prepared to make. It is grueling to think that there was nothing wrong - although in time, the basket could produce problems as this is not a new unit - BUT it was a reliable unit that performed well during normal usage.

Back to Home Depot or Lowe's with my frustration in tow. I will believe forever that this GE Certified Repair person DID SOMETHING TO MY WASHER TO CAUSE IT NOT TO WORK. I assure you the unit worked fine - EXCEPT for the drain BEFORE he came by my home. I need to get rid of a broken washer, a pedestal (that he could not open for me) a dryer and its pedestal as I want a matching set in my laundry room. This faulty repair will go down in the record books as a lesson I learned "the hard way".

As I weigh my options in my next purchase, GE may be a favorable contender BUT relying on GE for repair is no longer an option. I am still clearing out the smell of smoke from my house!

General Electric food quality

Chat Conversation Start
At the Boston Pizza at 2910 Major Mackenzie Dr. East Markham, I went for nachos and wings and with friends and it was the worst that I have ever had. We orders a Case of wings and there was no way it was near 3lbs. the box was less than 1/2 full. Wings were small, not meaty, dry, and the hot sauce was ok (below average). The nacho's chips and toppings were skimpy for a large. There is more topping and a little Cesar's Pizza. I work across the street and because of this experience will never come there for wings / nachos there again. For such a huge profit items why is the Quality so low.

General Electric customer service and incompetent repairman

I own several GE appliances. My GE profile slide in range had an element light that stayed on and my GE microwave had fan that stayed on as well. I viewed the internet and basically both were minor issues. So, I contacted GE customer service and told the rep what I needed. I was scheduled for May 1 from 8 am to noon. I waited 4 hours and 45 minutes. The repair man had no explanation or apology for being late. He entered my home and asked about my pets. I told him that my pets were put up. Then, he asked, "Where is your husband?" I refused to answer. He walked in my kitchen and never looked at the stove or microwave. I told him what was wrong with the stove and he replied, " I do not know how to fix it? You need to call back and a technician will come out to fix it at $593 for parts." I told him about the microwave, he said. "That is not on my order." He refused to look at it. He told me to call the rep and reschedule the appointment at another charge. He told me to purchase all new appliances and that GE products are "JUNK". He proceeded to tell me that I owed him $109 for the visit. His stay was less than 3 minutes. He grabbed my credit card and charged me. I contacted GE and they refuse to assist. The repair man signed my credit card receipt. He laughed at me and said, ' I knew you were not going to pay to have it fixed. You woman are all the same." He ran out of my home. I contacted the BBB and customer affairs. I purchased all new appliances from Lowes. All GE products will never enter my home. PLEASE ladies, beware of this type of repairmen. He had no intention of ever fixing my appliance. He came for the sole purpose to rip me off. I am a senior citizen woman. He took advantage of me. SHAME ON GE.

General Electric js630 -30" slide in range

I bought the range on January 15, 2017 at Home Depot, # H6408-28362. It was installed in March 15, after my kitchen remodelation was finished. A week or so later I requested service from GE [protected] because the oven did not reach the temperature it registered on the panel. On March 31 the GE technician made adjustments to the oven temperature. It did not solve the problem so a second request for service was made on April 3. The technician arrived on April 7, checked the appliance and diagnosed a change parts. He placed an order for parts UB27x26743 and UBorX26792 on April 10. Today, May 3, I called and was informed that the parts will arrive probably next week and sometime the week after the new parts will be installed. The "Service"Dept. offered a guarantee extension, but I am still waiting for their confirmation call.

Two months after the installation of a new GE stove/oven I have not been able to use it with satisfaction. I would like a money reimbursement or a new range.

General Electric ge dryer

I tried to contact them by phone for the price of a service call. Was told the system, entire system was updating! Yeah right...

And, the woman was hard of hearing when, I told her to just connect
The call to customer relations. She ignored me saying "if we get disconnected" with the phone number over and over.

Very poor service all the way around.
Do not buy ge products.

General Electric dishwasher and service

Purchased GE Dishwasher from PC Richard voice #[protected] on 2/19/17.
I have experiences bad service from the technician and the issues is still not fixed after his two visits at my home.
I have taken two days off from work. Me and my husband experienced very poor customer service skills from your representative "Ronald " (he said that was his name, his # he said was 772, his NY plate numbers 90378-MC )he just does not care about fixing the problem.
I have shown him the video of the leaking dishwasher he kept ignoring my concern. Then I show him actual leak...but he said that he was in rush to his next appointment (it was after 4pm, so probably he was just rushing home. Furthermore he was very disrespectful even thou I showed him the leak he said he needed to go. . He kept dismissing my concerns and ignoring everything. At this point i am very disappointed with overall service and I need this fixed ASAP or need this unit replaced. I will not take additional days off because of someone that is incompetent and destroys the GE opinion logo. I need this matter resolved ASAP or I will see other law matters.
I have attached a video of the issue. At this point you either can replace the unit or provide me a full refunding total of $702.18

Please do not send me same technician, once again he left after I show him the leak...this was very disappointing. I will not let him into my house again.

Best,

General Electric ge dishwasher - new and does not work!

Even the tech says he has no clue! 5 months later - yes you heard correctly - the dishwasher is still is not working and they apparently just do not care about my problem!

I have begged them to pull the dishwasher out of my home and refund me but they keep saying the want to try one more thing - this was over a month ago and no repair person has even called!I will never purchase another GE product - this experience has been horrific!

i have attached a picture and was not able to attach the video I took since it looks like the file size is too large.

Please let me know how you can help either replacing this item or getting a different model that does not have these issues. Really concerned that it could make my house catch fire...
