PayPal harassing phone calls

I complained about pay pal several days ago. The calls stopped for awhile, after I emailed them and again explained my financial situation. Then after a month, I get calls from a 608 area code, which I did not answer because I did not recognize the number. Then I googled the number, confirmed it was GE money bank, calling about my pay pal account. They leave no message. I get a call on my mobile phone twice a week, now. I am going to block the number then contact BBB. I understand they want their money, but some people cannot pay when the collector wants it. I know GE bank does not care, but they should.

PayPal paypal locks money on unverified accounts!

So, after about 3 years of using Paypal to both send and receive money, I have encountered a huge problem with their service. I sold one of my game accounts and a total of $64 dollars was delivered to my Paypal account. Now, I am unemployed at the moment and chose by decision not to have or maintain a bank account. So, I go to spend this $64 dollars and I am informed that my account has reached its spending limit because the account isn't "Verified". I look into the two possibilities to verify my account. One way is to link a bank account to the account. The second, to apply for some credit card. Tried applying for the card, but was denied, and as I said, I do not have a bank account. I call Paypal support and they tell me those are the only 2 ways of getting my account verified. So now I have $64 dollars in a paypal account that is permanently locked because i cannot verify my account.

I never had any issues before sending/receiving money through Paypal. That is why I chose to use them again for my transaction. Honestly, I just do not think it is right that Paypal can lock somebody out of money that is actually in the account. I could understand if it was a payment that was from a linked bank account, but this money is already in paypal's hands. I am very disappointed, and once I figure out how to get my money back, I will definitely never use Paypal again.

PayPal fraud investigation scam

I reported an unauthorized transaction noted on july 23, 2010 where the amount taken by ashra.com for 189.99 was processed yet reported accordingly. said company paypal had me fill out all the necessary forms only to get a two line letter written by a David no last name looks like a generated poor customer service ploy to dismiss your concerns. especially when all measures were taken and followed. said company is a ebay company as written on the lame ### letter. therefore, BUYER BEWARE DONT TRUST THIS SITE OR ANYTHING TO DO WITH PAYPAL APPARENTLY THEY ALLOW FRAUD TO BE COMMITTED AND ONE IS TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL. THIS COMPANY ISN'T TO BE TRUSTED NOR MUCH USED, ITS PROBABLY OPERATED IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY ANYWAY AT LEAST THATS HOW THEY HANDLE AND PRESENT THEMSELVES!
PAYPAL AN EBAY COMPANY AND THE LOSER WHO STUFFED THE ENVELOPE GO PLAY IN TRAFFIC! MY BATTLE HAS ONLY BEGUN!

I fully agree with this post as I have personally been scammed out of USD883.60 by PayPal when withdrawing funds from my PayPal to my registered and verified bank account.
The transactions (2 in total - 1 for USD500 in February 2013 and the second for USD383.60 in January 2014) show completed however were never in my bank account.
I contacted PayPal more than 50 times via phone and sent over 100 emails. Their customer service staff does nothing to assist and simply do not care to help their customers trace missing funds.
PayPal advertise itself as trusted and reliable and I have found out the hard way - TWICE - that this is a blatant lie.

I have been turned down twice now from my paypal account associated with ge bank... Which is totally bogus.. I looked up my credit reports at my expense and i have excellent credit... I applied for a paypal plus card and a ebay mastercard and was denied both times... They said it was because of equifax... But there is absolutley nothing on any of my credit reports to warrant this... Ive spent all day and my own money and no one can tell me anything... Of course iam very angry about this whole situation... I dont know who the culprit is paypal... Ge bank or equifax but i intend to get to the bottom of this... And i dont want my credit effected because someone obviously made a huge mistake...

PayPal escroquerie et tendem organisé paypal-ebay

Comment j'ai été escroqué par le Tandem - Paypal / Ebay

Cher Internaute;

Please google his name and you will find numerous complaints filed against him. I find it funny how he can cry when something happens to him, but he spends his entire worthless life decieving people. PayPal how paypal ripped me off

Beware of paypal and ebay
They are very dangerous they will ripp you off

Let me explain you my story. I started making some sales after a month around 10
One day paypal decided to suspend without prior information my paypal account

Asking me to give an authorisation for wihdrawing money from my bank
And invioce of my suppliers. I informed them that my paypal account was always credited in positive so I will not give any authorisation as there is no need to take money in my personnal account. I was informing them that I will never disclose my supplier invoice and address.

So they started keeping blocked my account and not replying to me. At present they owe me the last sale I have made plus a balance amount of 100, 99 € already awailabel in the account and that they have also blocked. Since thr 1st of october they owe me

Also ebay will take some commisions on sales your customers has never paid so that mean in reality not done. And when you send a dispute about it they will write to you to give the customers sales number. Since tht is done no news from their side.

Thos e 2 companies are in reality a big machine made to cheet in a high level.
Beware of them do not trust them by keeping some money on your paypal account
They will take it any time by finding any excuse.
It was the first time I was trying to sell thing through the internet but I was very chocked by their behavior.

Be carefull with them it is a very big fraud, they will leave you selling online for a while and after they see things are going smooth they will start finding any silly thing as excuse to rip you off. And nobody will write to you, except to send ready made email how to remove their restriction.

Do not do anything with them, they are very costly and to the end they will cheet you!

Paypal europe and ebay was making false excuse and further suspended my account to rape me off. Up to dte paypal si still holding 100, 99 € and 134, 02 €. Total 235, 01 €
I told them to close my account and refund me and they are not replying. It is why I was forced to explain my story in internet.

Do not deal with them

Dr pascal de souza

PayPal wicked evil!!!

hi, i was just reading your complaint as i used to be a power seller on e-bay and always used paypal...the same thing happened to me, im in the u.s. and sold 2 vintage leather jackets equalling $600.00 to a guy in france...2 days after he paid, he filed a complaint through paypal that he hadnt received his purchases...well, duh...6-10 days for international priority mail and they allowed the complaint without using smart judgement and knowing that he could not possibly receive them in 2 days...they placed a hold on the $600.00 and i had already sent the jackets...he then sent me an e-mail with all kinds of vulgarities and threats and sent a link that i had won one of his jackets previously in e-bay auction and was furious that i sold it to him at a higher price...duh, the nature of business...the e-mails were scary threatening unlike anything i had ever heard and sent them to ebay and paypal but they did nothing except hold my $600.00 for 3 months while they "investigated"...they eventually only returned $300.00...i then moved out of town after not selling for the summer as i was doing flea markets and vintage clothing shows...it was fall and was ready to get back to selling using my e-bay account but my account had been frozen for what reason, i did not know but i decided to open a new account and i had a total of $1200.00 in my first 5 auctions and paypal would not let me process these payments because of a red flag on my previous account (i.e. the french guy)...i had 100% feedback before him and never had nothing but rave reviews and they decided to red flag my account when this guy was so awful?! they then required that i send a copy of my drivers license, my ss card, names and numbers of the sources where i bought my goods to sell and a couple of other things that i cant remember...i buy my things from estate sales, garage sales, thrift stores or wherever and i always sold in lots of 10 items or more so there was no way i could send that information nor should i because its not their business who my sources are...this was the only way they would re-open my account but i was skeptical...fortunately, the items i sold were to customers who i worked with for several years so we were able to work out other arrangements for payment and they received their merchandise but it took a long time to finalize the sales...since then, i have not used e-bay or paypal (as paypal is a company of e-bay and paypal functions the same way as a bank, handles peoples finances and holds peoples' security in their hands and yet they are not regulated by the FDIC)...now, i've heard from several sources that now to buy and sell on e-bay, they force you to use only paypal to complete a purchase...this sounds like nazi-ism to me and should be outlawed...why the press hasnt been all over them is beyond me! the point being, i have been selling on sites like etsy and ruby lane and have also been using a site called "google checkout" to process my online payments...they function very much in the positive ways of paypal without all the negative aspects of paypal...i highly recommend all of these if you're interested in finding other venues and sources for online payments...my customers have been very open to using them even if they dont currently have an account and has certainly not hurt the amount of business that i have and in fact, has simplified everything because i no longer live in fear selling on e-bay and using paypal as my online method of payment...i hope i have been of help and good luck in future endeavors! cheers! THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND I STILL HAVE ALL CORRESPONDENCE IF ANYONE'S INTERESTED AND HAPPY...LETS GET GOOGLE CHECKOUT GOING SO PAYPAL HAS SOME COMPETITION SO THEY DONT CONTINUE TO MONOPOLIZE AND MAYBE THEY'LL BECOME MORE LEGALLY AND ETHICALLY MORAL! GOVERNMENT WONT DO NOTHING, PRESS WONT DO NOTHING SO PEOPLE, ITS ALL IN OUR HANDS...BOYCOTT IS THE ONLY POWER WE HAVE!

PayPal gunpal refuses to complete a funds transfer from my gpal account tomy confirmed bank account.

During the month of July 2010 An internet auction payment company like Paypal called Gunpal.com or Gpal.com which I got an account with under the username and email address [protected]@gmail.com processed a few transaction untill I no longer could use them when the remaining balance in my account was criminally never transfered to my confirmed bank account as I had executed a tranfer first in the amount of $130 and then another in the amount of $43.54 for a total of $173.54. After weeks of emails and phone calls to gunpal support I received nothing and run around with excuses of "electronic tranfers are not possible now" and "we will send you out a check for the belated funds transfrer within 2 to 5 business days" When I called them they made me wait on the phone 45 minutes and had an automated message which counted down from 23 minutes down to one minute and then started counting up from one minute to 22 minutes showing how this is all a big game of criminal malice, deceit and theft. Because they never had any intention of talking to me to resolve this matter in good faith! They are like paypal but much more crooked in thier operation. Bottomline is Gunpal.com owes me $173.54 from which they charged me 3% for the service of payments received and made via email to and from peple I paid for purchases or sales made and refuse to answer my emails or pay me what they owe me! They are crooks indeed.

PayPal shipping payment release

I just sold some scrap computer parts on Ebay and received a very prompt payment for the item but I am unable to ship the item due to paypal. I have called paypal customer service TWICE regarding this matter and have spoken to a supervisor as well. They have basically told me that unless I have money in MY pocket to cover shipping costs I can't ship the item using paypal. I tried to explain to them that I have $0.00 in my checking account and on my debit card and I needed to use the funds in my account to pay for the shipping of my customer's package. They have set there system up so that I must wait either three days after the package has arrived or 21 days until I can use the funds on my account, this has seriously affected my ability to conduct transactions on my account.

Unless you have time and money to waste, paypal is a scam! I have called in with the same problem for the fourth time today! Once again a horrible experience! Believe me I am a very patient, polite, reasonable person whom have never received such treatment from any company I have business with! All I ask for is a constant answer! If they is one mistake made, fine no problem were all human but when you have the same problem four times! There is a problem! Each and every time I call in I am told something completely different then the previous agent! I can never get a concrete answer or even someone that speaks proper english! I have been rushed, ignored, on hold for over a hour and a half, over talked, and transfer to ebay without my consent or resolving the issue only to yet again explain my story again and to again receive no resolution! Today I canceled my paypal account and will never use again!

Every time I call Paypal to discuss my account problems with them, their automated phone system prompts me to enter my phone number. After entering my phone number the system says that it “cannot match that phone number with any account”. When I finally reach a live person, that person can always verify that the phone number I have entered is the correct phone number for my account.

Paypal does not seem to be able to fix this very simple detail! Because of the difficulty of dealing with Paypal, I have decided to avoid using Paypal whenever possible. I am now asking eBay sellers for other means of payment for auctions that I am bidding on, and they are always quick to condemn Paypal and offer to accept checks, money orders, etc.

After paying in good faith via PayPal for a 'brand new' eBay item + shipping, I was sent the wrong item (and not new) by a Hong Kong seller. After notifying the seller of his goof up, he insisted that I pay the return shipping back to Hong Kong before he would issue a refund. Since the shipping the wrong item was not my fault or responsibility, I refused to pay return shipping for something I did not purchase. Why should I be financially liable and penalized for the seller's error? Besides, if I paid the return shipping I would actually be losing money from this failed eBay transaction - despite the refund! So I decided to escalate the dispute to PayPal's 'Resolution Center'.

In my view I was the injured party. I had paid the full price, and received nothing in return - except the added hassle of repackaging the item, taking off work to go to the Post Office and paying to send it half way around the world. Ridiculous. So I proposed that the seller have the item retrieved by UPS, FeDex or DHL.

But PayPal's deliberation was swift: they sided with the fraudulent seller stipulating that I should pay for the return shipping.

Apparently PayPal is biased towards Vendors/Sellers. The moral of the story is: If you buy something on eBay and receive the wrong item or not as represented and insist on a refund, YOU WILL LOSE MONEY. This is a completely hostile and antagonistic ecommerce transaction strategy for innocent consumers acting in good faith - and PayPal Resolution Center Policy SUPPORTS IT!

At paypal you're a valued customer and have buyer protection... Lmfao! Yeah right!
In september 2017... I bought some shoes from what turned out to be a fradulant vender. I used paypal to make my payment. When I didn't get those shoes paypal did nothing to get my $70 back... I had to go through my bank to get it...
In january I opened my own store and dropshipped using paypal... They didn't like my business so they closed my account. I opened another personal account in march to use when online shopping. Paypal closed that too.
When I called to resolve all these issues, pretty much it was stated that paypal didn't value me as a customer and didn't want my business. Wow!
I have done nothing but pay for items using paypal. Appearently, if they don't like what you're buying (In my case... Mostly shoes) then you're out!

Between the dates of on or about 9/13/07 and 10/5/07 I posted several payments to an online gaming service named Nodeka. These payments were between 1$ and 99$ dollars and were made using a pre-paid credit card. All the information paypal request matched the info registered to the card. They have twice now reversed all my payments and labeled them fraudulent, causing my account to be frozen. For the span of about 5-7 days I was told the mistake was fixed and then I was informed recently that all the payments had been re-reversed and my account was to be frozen. I have sent numerous e-mails to cryptict e-mail addresses and a different responder every time. The help on the website is Orwellian in name as the resolution I found was anything but. So while the gamesite admin has been nothing but kind, paypal's system of systems has chewed up another innocent consumer.

When making a purchase, you may want to think twice before using paypal. They have this thing where they hold on to your money after snatching it from your bank account for 7 to 10 days before releasing it to the merchant, thus making you have to wait two or more weeks to receive your item and in some cases, the seller ends up canceling your order altogether because the transaction is taking too long. They have begun to do this thing to random buyers. This scam on paypal’s part defeats the purpose of using them to make your buying experience go along smooth and quickly and in my opinion should be considered false advertisement. I have been a customer of paypal for nearly 20 years with absolutely no issues and without warning this happened to me. I have heard of sellers complaining about papal randomly holding on to their funds but now they have found a way to screw the buyer as well. When I contacted the company I was given no feasible reason as to why they're deciding to hold on to my money. This company needs to be investigated. I will never use them in the future again.

On 11/29/07 after we listed 2 very successful products on eBay from time period 10/28/2017 as user cooldeals2go and generated over 24,000.00 in sales for a four week period, PayPal, Inc., restricted access to our funds (which we cannot transfer $11,999.69 USD in funds to our bank account) and had eBay close/suspend our account cooldeals2go.

We were not selling any items that are illegal and our products were down loadable from the Internet and did not break any copyright violations.

We did notify PayPal, Inc., by phone to prior to 11/15/2017 to to let them know to expect an increase in sales so they would be provided with what we were selling, we also own www.hostitplanet.com and reconfirmed them about our sales. Therefore we felt we were clear with notifying them, we bought and paid with our PayPal, Inc., Inc. credit card an auto mobile and the had some services that were paid prior to them blocking access to our funds. (which they have blocked any payment being sent out) so we risk loosing our vehicle and reputation as a citizen in our area. also the restriction has caused eBay to suspend our account which means loosing an estimated amount of $3,000.00 in sales per day and the inability to send products to our customer totaling around $2,500.00. We have contacted PayPal, Inc., Inc. 8 times in a two day period from the time they restricted us, and supplied all requested information which we can verify we sent.

Via screen shot to the items we submitted we have also some disputes from October that PayPal, Inc., has neglected to deal with for over a month.

Now they have deemed us a problem. We've been with them for three years! But people, pread their terms of service, they can do what they want! With your money. Paypal issues and problems.

I sell my CD's thru several companies who in turn send my money to me thru PayPal
CdBaby sent me some money thru PayPal.
It wasn't much but it was the second time I had gotten paid
at least it was the only one published.
I think this is some kind of Bank. (PayPal)
I was online with a company for which I signed up for a 3 day free trial which I cancelled at proper time.
While I was working PayPal filled in this number on my drop down PayPal online pay.
Now I don't have a debit card with them, all I have is a credit card with GE money which is a PayPal buyer Credit card to use on line, they did not charge this one, it was a fake one.
They took all the money from my account, I had made from CdBaby plus they say I owe them about $100.oo.
I told them I did not order anything and they said they had to keep charging as long as that client kept sending the bills and would start charging my regular checking account for this.
I told them I could stop it, which I stopped payment to them from my regular checking account and reversed all checks to them and closed the link from my bank to them.
They claim I still owe the money but I don't intend to pay them as they stole my money and I didn't make the debt.
They call and harrasse me but I don't answer anymore.
They sent me an e-mail and said they would quit harressing me if I paid them
It's a shame you can't trust someone to collect your money from the music companies and be honest about it.

I received an email from PayPal: "due to the excessive risk
involved, we would like to begin parting ways in a manner that is least
disruptive to your business.". I called PayPal and they said it means my account is closed. How smart they are to close account in this way.

The so called "risk" is several people filed claims that they have not received products. They filed claims because eBay sent following massages: "Our records show that you recently contacted or received messages from office-mart through eBay's messaging system. This account was recently found to have been accessed by an unauthorized third party, who may have used the account in an attempt to defraud other members. "

PayPal scam

I was a victim of a scam when using PayPal. Never trust sending anything to Lagos, Nigeria under any circumstance if the money has not been deposited into your account. To be extra safe, transfer that money to your bank account. NEVER do money transfers via Western Union, Money Gram, etc. YOU should not be putting out any kind of money. I was a first time international seller, so I fell victim not knowing the real procedures. I thought I was talking to a PayPal representative the whole time. PayPal doesn't e-mail you, there is no e-mail representative!

Please be careful, call and do your research before you put anything out!
I lost my product and over $800 in cash. I could have lost more but I stopped when it became really unprofessional and unreasonable!
Also, they will fake as the FBI to help you investigate the scam, asking you to send the money so they could track it. (Stupid and ridiculous as it sounds? YES! Trust your instincts and check the e-mail address).

This was my first time and I thought I was being careful and smart, trusting PayPal as the middle person for my transactions.
Anyone can fall victim, stop it as soon as you can.

I ordered 2 pairs of UGG shoes from nike-trade.com for 198.00 and payed via Paypal. The website says they are based in California, but the items shipped from China. When the UGGs arrived they were very very fake. I have other real UGGs and it is very easy to see that the ones from nike-trade.com are fake. I called Paypal and issued a complaint. They responded saying that they only help if the seller does not send you something. It does not matter if they sent you a fake, or even if it was something completly different such as a brick when you order a diamond. That is wrong Paypal! I will never use paypal again. They made money from me being victomized. I have forward my complaints to the FBI and any other agencies I could find. Beware of nike-trade.com. They used the email MYBIZWAY@hotmail.com. But I am sure they are using other websites and email addresses for the same scam.

It's a shame you are trying to place even a portion of the blame on PayPal. The reason you were taken is because you didn't know what you were doing or how PayPal works. Had you actually used PayPal your loss would have been covered by their insurance and a refund would have been processed. International sales via PayPal are no different than regular domestic transactions. I'm sorry that you had to learn the hard way. It was an expensive lesson.

PayPal deceptive collection practices

I sold some items on eBay, but wasn't paid. But, they still charged me fees for them. I contacted them to dispute the amount they claimed I owed, but they just ignored my emails or sent me 'canned' responses. They then managed to debit my checking account without my permission, even though I'd told them there was not enough funds in that account, I was disputing the amount owed and DID NOT give them permission to withdraw the funds. It clearly states on my ebay account there is NO automatic payment nor backup payments. (States that in TWO places...) In addition, they only had a CC on file. Inquiries as to how they even got my checking account information went unanswered. Until a 'chat' session a few days ago, where the guy admitted they got the information from PAYPAL. I asked him a few questions directly and he would not answer, then closed the chat session before I could save the conversation. Fortunately for me, I had written down the number and was able to talk another ebay chat rep into emailing me the session. (Of course, she first told me that once it was closed, it was only available for THEM to view, that I had no access.)

So far, not only have they attempted to debit my account 3 times, costing me $29. each time in NSF fees from my bank, but they've also been adding their own fees to the tune of $15 each time! (Not to mention the checks I had out that were returned, costing me $29.00 each...) Attempts to close my PAYPAL account have failed. It states, "Your account has limited access and you are unable to close the account." !

I finally filed a complaint with the BBB and got a notice they contacted eBay on July 9, 2010. But as of July 30, I've not heard from either.

They debited my checking account for over $215 last week (despite my complaints to the bank, the bank actually paid them!). But, get this, they state they haven't received the payment and added another $15.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RESOLVE THIS? This has been a horrible nightmare! I can't even close my checking account, because it is in the negative now because of them (but, wait, they say they didn't get paid...).

HELP!

This just gets better and better. I just got off the phone with eBay. I called to see why they keep stating they weren't paid the $215.55, when my bank states they were. I was told I've now been turned over to a collection agency! Unbelievable.

Can someone PLEASE help me?

Update by tiredofbeingrippedoffagain
Jul 30, 2010 6:49 am EDT

To clarify, my bank did pay them over $215 last week (I filed a dispute with them, but they told me eBay was already paid.) EBay, however, continues to say they were not paid. So who the heck has my money?!?!? (And, yes, it overdrew my account, resulting in one of my outstanding checks being returned and my being assessed another $29.00 (probably two, if they run it again), on top of whatever the party the check was written to will charge me...)

Thanks for any help you can provide!

PayPal hold balance for 180 days

Below is a message from PayPal:

"Since your PayPal account has a positive balance, all funds will be held
for a period of 180 days. PayPal will restrict the use of the funds in
your PayPal account to minimize the loss on any unresolved buyer
complaints, chargebacks, or bank returns."

"PayPal reserves the right to close any account reported to be involved
in possible high-risk behavior. Therefore, you will not be permitted to
utilize the PayPal service for your online payment needs in the future,
and this decision may not be appealed."

Although the above decision is unacceptable, PayPal has power to do whatever they want to do.

PayPal fraud

My item was cancelled because ebay said it was a counterfit, Ebay encouraged me to contact the company directly by emailing them.

I feel an obligation to share with you what else ebay has encouraged myself and so many others to do. If you think Ebay is taking action per your request to stop items listed violating your intellectual property rights, you should know they are, they got my account, and I’m sure they try with many more.

But did you know ebay is actually incenting hundreds of thousands of their own customers like me to resell the very items you are requesting them to remove, but how can this be?

If you have a paypal account you might remember getting an email Thu 10/22/09, if not you can ask ebay about the email sent to every Paypal (an ebay company) member enticing us with a free $20 cashback for purchasing items for resale at ebay.

This offer was for very specific "overseas" companies - The offer applied only to purchases at one of the following merchants: Graniph, FocalPrice, Milanoo, Dhgate, BestOfferBuy.com, MyCatwalk, Wiggle Time, Sasa all well known for their fake, counterfeit, and pirated products.

Im a sucker for a free $20, so I used paypal to buy a few things I recieved the items followed by ebays promised $20 cash back! This made me $20! Awesome, so now I use ebay to sell one of the items, so ebay is doing really well with this! and so did I, until ebay cancelled my account due to violating their VERO policy.

Now, I’m no legal expert, but I know when something is morally wrong and this is really a no no on ebays part. Everyone makes mistakes, but I think ebay is purposefully doing the wrong thing here, what do you think?

I would never have bought something from overseas without paypal giving me $20, and when the premise of the sites are to resell for profit on ebay, it should be OK since I was recommended by paypal.

I wouldn't want to be ebay when this information is given to court to decide.

Everyone is being hurt, except ebay.

I would love to bring all this evidence to court as well as offer up my testimony and help any VERO sue the bejesus out of these crooks!

Great post.

Perhaps I can just add to this that the best way to guard against being ripped off by online sales or auctions is to use a bona fide online escrow company. Although it does add some cost, that will take uncertainty out of the transaction.

For my money, the best bona fide online escrow (and there seems to be ten fraudulent escrow sites for every bona fide one) is probably Escrow.com (http://escrow.com). In fact, it’s the only one that eBay recommends.

Take care,

PayPal online payment

I just attempted once again to make an online PayPal Plus Credit Card payment and I got the same error message after waiting 1 hour like Customer Service said to do. Seems to me that PayPal Plus/ GE Money Bank has SCAM going by blocking an online payment forcing you to mail in a late payment so they can charge an outrageous late fee or persuade an automated phone payment thus again charging a fee for the payment. The past year I have recieved my statement 7 days before the due date. Hasn't the laws changed now making it that Creditors send out your statements early enough so you have time to remmit a payment. PayPal Plus is the only creditor I have that sends my statement so late that I have to get in the mail the same day as recieved. Now they play games with their web site blocking access to the account so that a payment can't be made. They ought to have one Hell of a Class Action Lawsuit brought against them.

Been making online payments on my PayPal Plus Credit card for the past 3 months. When I try to log in 3-4 days before the due date to pay online it's a coincidence that a error page comes up saying that my account can not be accessed online. No problem when you make a payment 2 weeks before it's due. Another SCAM to charge you a late fee!

I am having the same issues. I had my credit card number stolen and they charged several items to my account. I called paypal and the told me the fraud department would look into it and I would get a blue envelope in the mail to complete. I have not seen the envelope but i got a letter the other day stating the fraud dept. did not find any fradulent charges on my card. How can that be when I did not charge the items. I am requesting the signature and/or address where items purchased were sent. I never purchased anything from Itunes and do not lnow what Comwave-Toronto, ON is but the numbers are the reference numbers are the same for two of the sales and another number for two additional sales. Does anyone has any suggestion?

Just think bout this, if I am Macronet International and I have 44 million paypal user with me. Why would I let somebody have it for $15? That alone is insanely crazy. Just spent $15 through PayPal. Did not offer the same PayPal method of payment to conclude the entire transaction. I refused to add my credit card info because I could see what would follow. Such a shame to have this type of service. I'll just chalk this up to a $15 loss. They had such a great idea but c'est la vie! The will get what's coming to them -- this is not my fight. I'll leave this to God to fight this battle.

PayPal scammers

PayPal Inc., a subsidiary of eBay, has restricted my account and withheld funds sent to me from a buyer since October 26, 2008. They claimed that my account had "high risks" activities. I still have no idea what is high risk about selling an item I no longer need at a lower price. I already spent an entire week consistently contacting PayPal representatives, responding to their many email requests for seemingly a non stop amount of confirmations and requirements for even more documentations. I agree with the fact that they attempt to protect the interest of buyers from frauds and scams. I totally agree with that. But in my case, it's absolutely outrageous. After spending money making out-of-state fax trying to fulfill their requirements of multiple documentations (most of them being very personal), nothing good has happened.

Actually, they manage to lose my fax after all that(I have a transmission log from Staples to prove that I've sent it to them). I then had to upload my files again to them with great difficulties. I constantly called in over the past week to find out what's happening, what do they need, and how I can be a active member in solving this problem as painlessly as possible. Yet, I felt like I was kicked around and played by them. They still refuse to un-restrict my account and release the fund as of today. I've spent money on things that even my buyer did not request such as mail delivery confirmation just so that I can provide one to PayPal as they requested.

What insanity? Making things worse, after they received confirmation that the buyer already received his item, they still would not let go off my account and release the funds that I deserve. I've been waiting patiently, responding to every one of their requests promptly, and working with them closely. I even went as far as putting out funds from my own pocket in order to solve the issue. Yet here I am, sitting in front of my computer once again being asked by them to prove my address once more.

I honestly sent in all the proof that I possibly could. I've tried my best to be proactive in this situation. And I've taken steps that cost me which I'm definitely not going to be reimbursed for in order to help. PayPal already charged me service fee for using them to accept the payment from my buyer. How dare they held my fund, and restrict my account after they've gotten their fees? If there are "high risks" activities as they claimed on my account, they shouldn't have touched any of the money at all to begin with no? How can they simply take my money first, then tell me that my account is a possible danger to others? Their actions in taking care of this issue is obscene, and extremely irresponsible. I feel like I'm in a maze hearing voices that misguide me time and time again, asking for more and more, and I'm unable to get out.

I've lost money in order to prove my innocent to them while I consistently get brushed off by their staff with their different requests and little actions. More information is requested, more stress on my part trying to tailor to their every need, and funds are still held. I don't know what else can be done. It's sad that I look as if I'm begging them for help. It makes it worse that they simply sit there and push me around. I'm not even sure about getting the funds back anymore, because PayPal has let me down time and time again. But at least I want the justice. I've lost more than I've gained in this situation, and I just want a fair response. I've already filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, as well as several other public consumer protection sources. I'm young, but at the very least, I can spot injustice when it's right in front of my eyes.

I have an odd feeling that my complaints might fall upon deaf ears when I've filed my complaints with the major agencies. But something has to be done towards the mal treatment and injustice PayPal put forth towards the consumers.

PayPal chargeback

Be careful of Pay Pal. I was given a second chance opprotunity on Ebay. I e-mailed the seller and he sent me a paypal bill. I paid it including a $50 fee for shipping including insurance. The product came and was very poorly packaged and broken several spots. I contacted USPS and they said that it appears the seller did not take out insurance. I contacted paypal and they said they only protect purchases through e-mial, but mine did not qualify. They said they do not guarantee the quality of the product, shipping method, packaging and the list goes on. So if at all possible I would recommend to always use a credit card rather than paypal. Paypal offers no protection.

PayPal charges you extra money by adding late fees to your account when you are not late and in excellent standing with them

I usually pay my bill online and depening on how many days are in the month my payment is due on the 4th or 5th or sooner or later depending... I logged into my account tonight (the 3rd) only to see that it is due tomorrow (the 4th). In any "normal" circumstance this is perfectly fine. I am trying to make my payment before it is even due! However, PayPal Buyer Credit scams people by having a feature online that when you try to pay your bill online you must select a posting date that is at least 2 days from the current day but within 30 days. So in other words, I would have to post my payment date on the 5th instead of the 4th becuase today is the 3rd... If you go 1 day late with them they charge you a $30 late fee. So I called a rep because I did not want that to happen especially when I am trying to pay them BEFORE my account is due. The woman refused to help me and told me I could pay over the phone and have them charge me an additional $15 to post it tomorrow. I told her no I was not going to pay them an extra $15 for me to make a phone payment. She then went into detail on why my due dates fluctuate. I don't seem to have this problem with any of my other credit card companies. I told her that I was only going to make my minimium payment (when I ALWAYS pay more) and then I would be paying it off and would NEVER do business with them again. I also told her I was not going to pay that $30 late fee because I am not late. My account is due on the 4th and today is the 3rd. I asked why they even had that feature on the website that makes you post your payment 2 days out. She couldn't give me an answer. I told her its apparently just a way for your company to scam people out of their money. I also let them know in an email that I would be posting a review on the poor lack of customer service... Thankfully I only owe them $275.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PAYPAL BUYER CREDIT OR YOU WILL GET SCREWED OVER!

I am having a very similar problem with PayPal Buyer Credit. I always pay my bill the first of the month and had not really been paying attention because my statement says bill is due 7th. Noticed $39.99 late fee when my account finally went live online last month.

Called customer service only to learn that if I pay my account before the 7th of the month it does not count on this month's billing cycle. So all my payments (at least 9 months in row) have been considered late instead of early. I have received $39.99 fee every month, my rate has jumped 10 points, and who knows what it's done to my credit score. That's almost $400 in late fees (that I know about) all for paying my bill EARLY EVERY MONTH. Amazing!

Emails to CEO Scott Thompson and CFO Mary Heinjes have gone unanswered. I have a merchant account with PayPal, but am reviewing whether I will continue to do business with them on that side.

I have been a PayPal member for nearly a decade, and use it regularly to fund my eBay purchases, but have only sporadically used PayPal's "Buyer Credit" feature. Last month, I used it to fund an online payment of $70. Three weeks ago, after receiving the bill, I scheduled payment (in full) to my buyer credit account on the GE Money external website (the "pop-up" window site that you're probably familiar with if you've ever used PayPal buyer credit before). Within the past month (as of October 30, 2009), however, it seems that the entire payment process has been streamlined onto the actual PayPal website itself. As a result, all old payment history and previously scheduled payments are no longer viewable or available (the new "payment history" page on my PayPal account is completely blank; clearly, the information did not transfer over to the new site).

Infuriatingly, the payment to my account, which I had scheduled to post on October the 11th, mysteriously never posted and instead, today, I was hit with a $20 late fee from PayPal/GE Money against my buyer credit account. I should also note that I first attempted to post this payment to my account the day I received the bill, Oct. 5th, but everyday for nearly a week after receiving the bill, the PayPal GE Money site was "experiencing errors, " (how convenient) and I could never access my account to post payment. When I finally was able to access it, I scheduled the payment in full. I called my bank today (on which the buyer credit account is supposed to draw), and they informed me that GE Money never attempted to draw the requested payment. What a clever way for them to shake you down for $20. Thanks PayPal, thanks GE Money. I'll reschedule my payment again, and will probably go through the same exact thing. Let's see how long they can keep it up.

I am having the same issue with paypal. I have been sending in my payments through the mail at the same time since March and " suddenly" I have been charged with two late payments for September and October. I called Customer Service in September about the late fee and they told me that they tried three times to reverse the charge on their computer, but it wasn't allowing them to credit the $29.00 fee back. Is their computer broken? Then I mailed my payment to Paypal extra early for October to be sure to avoid the late fee, and low and behold I got charged with a $29.00 late fee again. I called Customer Service again for the October fee to be reversed, and the lady on the phone said that she couldn't reverse it and I said then can I talk to someone above you, and she said, "Yes, but they aren't going to be able to do anything about it either." What kind of a company is this Paypal Buyer Credit?! TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS! The people that I talked to couldn't speak English very well (what a surprise!). They are just trying to soak up peoples hard earned money. So the end result is that "I" closed my account and I will NEVER do business with them again!
