Gateway One Lending & Finance customer service & title department

Can I give the a ZERO Star for customer service? After being told they would take payment via a card they didn't; then was told they could take payment via phone checking account at 3 times the normal payment once per day, then they next day a supervisor ANNE said they could do that twice per day gave me her extension to call the next day then never answered the phone or called back about messages. Finally got the thing paid off then was told I just needed to talk to the title department and I could expedite the title. Of course the Title department doesn't answer the phone. I called 3 times per day for 10 days (leaving a message as instructed and the message says "someone will get back to you within 24 hours") till I finally got in touch with someone named Jose. He said they hold the titles for at least 10 days before releasing the title to the state of the ownership.

I'm filling a complaint with the BBB, and anyone else I can find in banking regulation, this was full of lies and a horrible experience!

Gateway One Lending & Finance unethical and dishonest business tactics

I spoke to a CSR about an amount owed on a perviously finance vehicle that was stolen in January of 2018. The past due amount I was under the knowledge that my Gap insurance would cover which they did but not the full amount unfortunately I was unaware. I had sent off a letter to Gateway One purposing payment AS SOON AS POSSIBLE of amount due without interest and with the negative remarks of "derogatory" for this company be removed and once payment was submitted it would just state "PAID AS AGREED", in which someone reached out to me and we had agreed to these terms, I ask for them to send a hard company stating they agreed, i never received one, instead i received another call as if i had not already reached out to resolve this debt and had perviously came to terms that was of benefit both this company and myself. This company tried to deceive me into a verbal contract the had no intentions to uphold. As they too were aware of the Gap insurance issue that I was totally in the dark about until i got a letter stating i had a balance pending. I had never went without payment for my vehicle and my account has always been up to date. When i asked for a corporate contact i was told by the Gateway One CSR that i need to contact TCF bank as they are uncharge of this matter which is extremely confusing, because this was the first time i have ever heard of this institution.

My desired resolution is to resolve the debt on this account as quickly as possible while keeping my credit in tact being this mishap and the delay of information and lack of communication to me was the issue as to why this debt was incurred. I want all of the negative remarks deleted as the CRS stated would be done once payment from me has been posted they insured me that this could and would be done and replace with "paid as agreed". I want it in writing as this company has proved untrustworthy.

Gateway One Lending & Finance auto loan

I made all of my payments on time except for 1 month on a six year contract. My truck was in the shop for quite some time as it needed a new engine and the cost was astronomical. The shop owner would not negotiate price so although the truck sat at the garage I continued to make my payments, then one day I get a call from the shop that gateway was trying to repo my truck. I immediately called gateway and spoke with some of the most ignorant people that walked the face of this earth.
They finally backed off but not after tacking on $3000 in fees. I continued to make my payments and months before I would be making my final "contractual" payment I tried to work something out with them on the fees. It took them months after I made my final "contractual" payment to come to terms. It took me 3 more months to pay the fees. During that time they reported me to the credit bureaus as 30, 60 and 90 days late on fees.
Even though I made my payments every month this guy named jeff kept referring to me as a dead beat and "if I paid my bills" none of this would have happened. He was supposed to be my point of contact. After being constantly belittled I finally had to go over his head to a supervisor to get anything done but they refused to remove the derogatory reporting from my credit report.
Do not do business with this group! I only ended up with them when my loan was sold to them. Very unethical group.

Gateway One Lending & Finance auto loan

Do not finance a car thru this lender. There are many others that will not make your life a nightmare! Just to name a few "issue" of experienced: making a mistake on the loan where I was overcharged for months - they have not reimbursed me or credited the account 3 yrs later! I purchased a vehicle on-line/out of state - they financed the vehicle before I received it (Took over a month!) the wrong model was sent.. However they still continued enforcing the loan amount for the more expensive vehicle that was advertised but I never received. Almost 3 yrs later... Not fixed! Just to break free from this "burden", i've been trying to call to pay off the loan for just over two months. I've called hundred's of times... Nobody knows where to send me!? I either am placed on hold for hours, or am hung up on. If i'm lucky, i'm transferred to a random department that can't do anything for me.
I have never had such a hard time working with a company - esp. When i'm trying to pay off a loan! I'm about to waste a few more hours of my day her shortly and speak with the most incompetent, unprofessional group of "csr"s", collectors, and possibly even a supervisor that wants to prove you wrong, until the opposite happens and they"hang up on you"..
'm asking executive level management to get involved - your company is falling apart and ruining the lives of honest hard-working people!

Gateway One Lending & Finance This company scammed me and wanted to sell my car

I wanted to buy new car and decided to get financial aid from Gateway One Lending and Finance. I spoke with the rep, who said that they could provide financial aid, if I could trade in my car, which I had at that moment. I agreed to their conditions and three months later I got the terrible news. The company wanted to sell my car in order to get the money, which I owed from them. I hired attorney, because I have no idea how to solve this problem.
