Several Gamestop stores in Mississippi (Grenada, Batesville, Oxford) are selling unsealed games at new prices. New games are supposed to be sealed. If a new game is unsealed, it becomes used. Just like how a brand new car leaves a car lot, it depreciates in value. I have found multiple times game stop has tried to sell me used games at new prices. Also the game cases do not have all the material in them that comes with new sealed copies. This is a major problem and needs to be addressed asap. I am pretty sure this is not legal

@ ruth and kevin, oh i didnt want to point that out but yes i picked up on that too. i know they have had this policy for over 12 years maybe longer. its not a new concept that they dont keep new games in the box. too many steal that. OP if you want it cheaper then go to a place that has used games like amazon or ebay. it is new but cheap.

I agree with firstborntriplet, sounds to and thel, it sounds to me like the OP is the thief, trying to get new game at used game prices. The OP probably already knew that they keep the game behind the counter. He is upset because he could not get the new game for the price of the old game no matter how much of a two year old he acted like throwing temper tantrums when he did not get what he wanted.

well there is a logical explanation for this. There are people who think its fun to open it in store and steal the stuff inside. then put the opened game back. what has the managers said when this was pointed out? something sounds strange about your complaint. i know for a fact they check every game box [if its sealed or not] in the store after they close and before they open. only exception is midnight release days they dont check till after the release is over.
