I am really disappointed with game. My first online experience and it has been horrific. Still no feedback as to the stus of my order. Order said 3 to 5 days but its been more than a week now. After reading the reviews on hellopeter and facebook I am worried about receiving my order. If only I saw the reviews before i placed the order. The worst part is that the web support on facebook support team has no interest in responding to emails and messages. They just blatantly ignore your messages.

I purchased a fridge online 15th Dec 2018, delivery date was 3 to 5 working days. When contacting the depatch from Saturday the
22nd up untill today, they said Freight Line have not come to collect any stock for delivery and they do not know when it will happen. Since today I was added to a whattsup group where other people have the same problem. Another lady is waiting from the 10th Dec. Now they want us to collect, really...

I am so frustrated!

I went into game store at clearwater mall on 20.12.2018 to purchase one of the pool tables they had on special, before making the purchase I confirmed with the sales agent that I will only make the purchase if they can confirm delivery before Christmas(25.12.2018) she assured me that the item will definitely be delivered as requested and so I made the purchase!

Besides standing in store waiting to be assisted by Sizakele who kept complaining about how she needed to go and eat, up until today the delivery was never made, I called GAME stores on 24.12.2018 to confirm that my order is still going to be delivered I was assured by Sizakele and the manager that the delivery will happen on that day!?

I would like a call before COB today with answers! I want my item delivered today along with the accessories that's supposed to be included with the purchase!

I have tried calling you people all morning with no answer!

Pathetic service really

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za empty christmas tree box

Good morning, last night i drove from Blue Downs to Canal walk, to purchase a Christmas Tree box which has all its trimmings included, or atleast thats what it says on the box, when i got home it waa only the tree no trimming no lights nothing! Hoe dissapointing. I asked the cashier to check she said no need the box will have all its goodies. My first year as a home owner, and i wanted to atleast bring festive into my house. What a waste of my time and petrol. I do not want my money back.. I just want the tree with its trimmings please. My contact number [protected]. Please can you assist. Tomorrow is Christmas, can i have this fixed before then. Thank you. Very disappointed Customer.

I placed an order on 26 November 2018 which was cancelled 2 hours later. I was told the cancellation was sent to the relevant department but the item was still delivered. In error, my security signed for the package and now after 4 calls which has been escalated I am still stuck with the item and no one is making any attempt to contact me about collecting the order.
This kind of poor service is unacceptable from a major retailer. I would not recommend anyone purchase from Game stores online as, not only did the item take almost 2 weeks to arrive, if you have any issue which requires a return, you will be stuck with the worst service you have ever experienced.

This is the second time I'm receiving terrible customer service at game Clearwater initially I'd bought gym weights they sold me weights which were short. Today as I write this I've been in the store for over an hour trying to buy a TV set, over an hour purely because people don't know their processes and promotions now I had to refund which took 30 minutes they called a gentleman I don't know whether he is a manager arrogant could not even apologize for the time we had spent waiting on them to assist arrogant, arrogant I am disguisted by the service levels the only difference was Micheal he is the only one who eventually came to assist but as I type this I am still waiting for the transaction to be completed over an hour wow if this is how game continues I don't know. I apologize for being such an inconvenience

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Online shopping

The issue that I have experienced was: Order placed and paid for on the 21/11 for a TV, order cancelled next day.
Called call center to confirm cancellation and was advised that due to high volumes of mails and orders they never go to it. I was advised that i need to reject the order so it can be returned to the warehouse and the refund can be processed. Needles to say after many mails sent by me it appears that to date the left hand still does not know what the right hand is doing. I was assured by Tanya Martin she will be dealing with the matter and that she would manage the return and refund. I then received a mail on the 8 December advising me that the goods had been delivered to me - how is this possible when i cancelled and was advised that it had been returned to the warehouse?

I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply back via this email account.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za product I am complaining about is the raleigh bad girl bicycle

My husband bought a Raleigh Bad girl bicycle on the 9 December. The steering of the bicycle keeps shifting, my daughter cant ride the bike. Unfortunately we threw the till slip away because we thought that we would never face this issue. I am not looking for a refund i just want the bike fixed or replaced

Good day,

I would like to share my distasteful and horrible encounter I had experienced with the STORE SUPERVISOR Thuli...On Saturday I went to the Store to do an exchange for an item I purchased 01.12.2018 [I did not have my receipt]...I paid via card so i asked her to please re-print.

The fact that customer service referred me to her was so upsetting to her, her face was horrible to look at as she could not even smile or greet me...it was so pulled up, like o rotten sour lime.

Is that how customers are suppose to be treated? The Manager [Mavis] herself was not very pleasant to look at. They all looked so moody and horrible.

They treated me badly and like a monster as they sent me back and forth and was asked about 6 times date of which I did the purchase cause they cannot fiind the slip.

I will never recommend people from purchasing at that store - they are horrible.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za fridge-freezer that doesn't work - appalling customer service

I bought a KIC 270-litre fridge-freezer from Game's online store, on November 12. It was delivered in the late afternoon of Friday November 16.
However, the fridge-freezer does not work - the internal light comes on and the motor runs, but neither the fridge nor the freezer section gets cold. On Monday November 19 I contacted Game's Online Support Centre to inform them of this.
Since then I have made multiple phone calls and sent multiple emails and have received nothing but hollow assurances that my complaint had been ‘escalated' (repeatedly); empty promises that someone would contact me (they never did); the passing-the-buck information that the supplier/technician would come and inspect the fridge (again, they never did so). The only person who did (eventually) get back to me, when I insisted on speaking to someone in charge, was Lezano; he seemed to agree that the situation was completely unacceptable and after some further back-and-forth communication he told me he had arranged with the supplier that the technician would come on Thursday December 6.
Of course no technician appeared nor has Lezano or anyone else contacted me since.
So four weeks after making the purchase in good faith, I have spent a lot of money on a totally-useless fridge and a LOT of time and energy engaging with totally-ineffectual customer service agents.
The law states that as a consumer I have ‘the right to receive goods that: are reasonably suitable for the purpose that they are intended to be used for, are of good quality, free of defects and in good working order, and will be durable and usable for a reasonable period of time.'
The fridge-freezer supplied to me by yourselves meets none of these specifications. I now require you to collect it and refund me in full, without delay.

On 15.11.2018 I placed an order & paid for all my daughter's stationery for school for 2019 (Total order R 713.57) On 20.11.2018 I received R 457.67 worth of goods, and R 255.90 still outstanding. On 27.11.2018 I received a packet of Highlighters worth R 45.99. Also on the 27th a lady called & apologised, and said that all the outstanding items will be delivered in that week. Since then, no correspondence received, while I have sent countless of emails and they do not answer their phones. I would like to request that this gets resolved ASAP, preferably before 13.12.2018, either by them sending the outstanding items to me before 13.12.2018, or they must process a refund, and pay it out before 13.12.2018.

only to find out that microwave was used before and there was no plate inside the microwave...i was so dissapointed because if i wanted a used microwave i will go to shops that are selling used goods...my cellphone number is [protected]...there was also a name of a person inside that box i can see that it was taken for repaid...then after sold it the customer

I purchased a Defy Freezer on Sunday 18/11/2018 . The freezer was delivered to me on Monday 19/11/2018 the driver just left my property when I realized the freezer was dented and had a crack on the inside of the freezer I phoned your driver immediately he advised me to call the game store in galleria where i purchased the product and speak to the sales man who sold me the freezer Rowland John which I did immediately . Your salesman said he was going to send the driver back which did not happen . I than phoned in again and he said he would get back to me it now Friday 23/11/2018 and up and till I got no response from games store in galleria . I need this resolved immediately they need to replace my freezer if they cannot do that I want a full refund and I go somewhere else and buy a freezer.I will be taking this to consumer watch if this not resolved.

On wednesday 13th nov got a call from rcs that my credit was increased, i agreed .was to told to email my doccies after receiving msg with enail adress, but i ddint but i decided to go to my nearest store and sent my doccuments through, ooh boy my aexcitemnrt gave some lady to fax/email it on my behalf ...lol i waited like a hog...no response ...i went to mall on the 21st n 22nd to check wats the hold up? To my suprise nothing went through ...is that my fault ? I thot you had competent staff...now i cant partake in the black friday cause the credit limit isnt even prossesed ...Game stores im so disappointed and yess dann skippy angry, i wonder why such happen to loyal under previledged clients...i pay my dues monthly to have such a bad service...i will definetly publish this on all media i can get my hands on ...butgersfort game store should be closed my opinion !

I bought a Huawei Y3 on the 14/07/2018 cash R999.00 for my 12 year old son and the screen went blank I handed the phone in for repairs at the store on the 30/10/2018. The phone came back to the store 3 weeks later and the person from game says that Vodacom wants to charge me for the repairs because the sticker over the battery with the MMI number is not there I tampered with the phone. told them that I don't know if I got the phone with or without the sticker and that I still have the box and receipt the phone is in good condition. the sticker shouldn't prevent the phone from working the phone is faulty and its a manufacture problem why should I pay for a faulty phone. I asked for the store manager to check the camera and confirm if the sticker was taken out of in the store or not. the store manager (Lee) said that he wont check the camera because it no use my child tampered with the phone because kids are naughty.

Hello
My complaint is about your Game store at Gateway, Umhlanga. It is a two-fold. The first part is as follows:
I purchased a combo deal advertised by game consisting of a TV; Mini Hi-Fi and OVHD. Upon purchasing I was told the Hi-Fi was out of stock and Id be called to come back and collect it. When I went to collect it on (2018/11/15) I was initially told it was out of stock but when I asked why I had been called to collect it I was moved from pillar to post before being made to wait for about 15 (fifteen)minutes before it was handed to me. Upon attempting to leave the store I was told I could not leave as a manager would have to give me some documents to sign first. Numerous calls were made by the security guards to try and locate a manager while I waited for 45 (forty five) minutes before I could be assisted. When I queried why I hade been made to wait for so long, I was informed the manager informed me that he was new and that had he been called out to assist he would've done so immediately.

The second part of my complaint relates to your call centre. On Monday (2018/11/12) I called for the second time to close my Game store account card. I was informed that I would receive an e-mail within 48 hours confirming that my account was closed since my account is settled in full. On Thursday (2018/11/15) I called and spoke to a man (Goellier-not sure of spelling) I enquired why I hadn't received the e-mail confirming that my account was closed and I was informed that there was no record on the system stating that I wished to close my account. He did promise to send an e-mail to the closures department but with the service I have received thus far I have no faith in anything to do with Game at this point.

I am deeply annoyed and disappointed by the lack of service I received at your gateway store. I walked into the store at 14:00 to collect one item and walked out of the store at 15:20 with throbbing legs and whole lot of irritation.

I would like for your senior management to deal with the managers who ought to have been at the front of the store assisting. I'm not sure how your internal policies work but that kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable. It was this store that advertised something that was out of stock and still punishes me for coming to pick up something that should've been there in the first place.

I would also like someone to ensure that my request to have my Game store account closed is finally adhered to because I will NOT pay another cent toward it should any costs accrue.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za service /assault

I was assaulted by staff managing the trolleys at Game Store Promenade in Mitchell's Plain upon leaving the store yesterday 14 November 2018.

Whilst leaving the store and at the entrance I was approached by a "trolley boy" contracted by Game Stores who abruptly stopped me by standing in front of the trolley preventing me from leaving the store and very rudely told me in a poor english accent (if i can call it that) that I can not leave the store with the trolley while he continuously yanked and pulled at the trolley. I had my 4 year old son and a bag in the trolley.I was completely flabbergasted. I demanded that he leave the trolley and to let me go. The trolley boy said no, and insisted that I am not allowed to leave the store with the trolley. I turned to the 2 female security guards sitting at the entrance door for assistance. The security guards in turn yelled at me saying "hey wena" gesturing I should give the trolley and remove my bag and son from the trolley. I immediately asked the security guard for a manager and was abruptly told that I must go look for him in the store. I found the Manager approximately 5 meters away in full view of the entrance from where I was literately being assaulted. I went to the manager known as Reginald, a sales manager, I explained to him what had happened and his response was that I should point out to him the individual which assaulted me. They stood directly behind me as they proudly followed me to the manager, he "Reginald" then told me that it is fine he will " sort them out". I then asked whether they worked for game as they were not wearing any game uniform and looked scruffy and dirty and not presentable to work with customers. He Reginald replied that they are suppose to collect the game trolleys. I was disgusted and left the store with my 4 year old son still in the trolley while Reginald was having a discussion with the trolley boys. In a state, blood pressure sky high with a massive headache and my son asking "mommy what happened repeatedly" clearly bewildered, I did not want to leave the shopping mall immediately as i was scared of being assaulted again by the these guys. I went into another store to calm my nerves and to get away from theses guys that i am sorry to say look like creeps with reflector jackets. I left the Mall shortly thereafter and had to come to terms with the treatment which i received from staff / contract workers of one of the leading stores in our country. What makes it even worse is that this is not the first time that i have been treated in this manner by these trolley boys collecting trolleys for Game stores. A few months back i reported to a different manager, Quinton, that I was accosted in the shopping Mall while i had my children with me, by the trolley boys who claimed that it is their instructions that no customer should be in the Mall with a Game trolley pushing their children therein whether you have your clearly marked Game shopping bags in them or not.
This treatment is unacceptable and notwithstanding reporting the assault, not a single reply from Game management even though this incident was reported to the Game Head Office by my husband.
This is clearly the instructions from game to the "trolley boys".

I will never go back to a store where customers are treated as second hand customers but their money is good enough to be spent in their store.
Traumatized and Disgusted.

Good afternoon

We recently bought a fridge at one the game stores.

We bought the fridge and noticed it's a bit massive for our kitchen 1 week later we decided to return the fridge.

The delivery guys delayed the pickup of the fridge for 3 days, November 10 2018, they picked-up the fridge, we gave them 3numbers to call from incase they were unable to get hold of us.

One of the pickup guy's seemed to have an attitude, as soon I opened the gate he said what's wrong with the fridge I replied and said nothing is wrong with it we recently got a convenient sized fridge and we no longer need the one that we bought from game.

We were given a slip that guarantees our money back.

We had the box for them on our doorstep however they put the fridge on their truck/van without the box, please note if there are any scratches and marks on the fridge that will void guarantee please note that your delivery team decided not to use the packaging that was left for them that came with the fridge.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za custom made blinds

I approached your sales person on 12/10/2018.
I clearly asked if Game ever have specials on the custom blinds especially knowing black friday is up and comming.
Reply was NO specials on custom blinds.

I learnt then that from 24/10/2018 there is a special running on custom blinds.
This made me furious.

I was contacted on the 01/11/2018 to collect my blinds. When I collected them on the 02/11/2018 to collect my ordered blinds, I requested that Game meet me half way due to this unfair sale. I requested the 20% Discount on the balance of payment to be made that day . I believe this to be fair considering the payment of custom blinds is made within the specials dates AND THE FACT THAT I HAS ASKED ON THE DAY I ORDERED IF THERE WERE ANY POSSIBLE SALES UP AND COMING. The sales person clearly said that there are not specials normally on custom blinds. HOW FAR FROM THE TRUTH THAT IS! ONLY 10DAYS LATER THERE IS EXACTLY THAT! I assure you I WOULD HAVE EVEN WAITED TILL 23 NOVEMBER 2018 BLACK FRIDAY if I could end up saving on the sale.

Manager then refuses to allow 20% on the R2063.00 balance that was paid on the 02/11/2018 is unfair to the consumer, especially due to my original request!

IN ADDITION THE BLINDS WERE NOT MADE CORRECTLY. THE RECESS ALLOWANCE IS NOT THE 10MM as claim . The fit is very tight when I checked although not yet officially installed. I double checked my measurements and they are accurate. Blame cannot be put on me for that!

I normally do not purchase from Game due to a past experience 10 years prior. THIS Experience assures me that nothing changes and you get what you pay for! FINAL LESSON LEARNT UNLESS GAME GIVES ME THE TIME TO REVIEW AND CORRECT THIS. LETS SEE IF THEY VALUE ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS!

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za we beat any price

On the 17-10-2018 I visited Game in Mthatha Plaza wanting to buy electrical appliances. I was advised by Mlindili Kuntayi to buy the items I wanted but I refused because I wanted to see if I could get them at a cheaper price somewhere. He said I must buy these items because if I happen to find them somewhere cheaper within 21 days they will beat that price I will get more that the difference.

One of the items I bought was Defy 4 Plate Thermofan Stove at R5499.00. This week I found that OK Furniture is selling the same stove at R5289.00. I brought the evidence to Game as per Mlindili.

I was made to wait more than 30 minutes to be assisted. eventual the lady who was helping me decided to go with me to them. I was referred to Mr Nontuli Mpakati (17457) whom I explain to him as to why I was there. He told me that I do not qualify for that because they only give difference if you want to buy same day having a paper for special of another shop with a lower price then they beat that price. Again I said Mlindile said you will beat this price and I will get my money and he was at work. Mlindile showed me that what he told me is also written at the back of my slip. I showed Nontuli but he insisted that we got it wrong. I even suggested that he refer this to the manager which he refused and told me to lodge a complaint if I fill like.

To me I fill being treated unfairly after being told by their employee that they will beat any price, as long I come back within 21 days. And the way Nontuli treated me was not right. I believe I deserve to get more that the different back to me.
