Gambler Tobacco Company bag tobacco and cigarette tubes

I have used many different brands of bagged tobacco depending on availability where I am and here where I live the only brand available just happens to be Gambler. The reason I buy it is because I have been sick and can't travel. The tobacco is the worst I have ever used because it has so much trash in it. When you are rolling a cigarette a lost of times you will get a little stick in the roller that will tear the tube when the tobacco is loaded into it. I have had that happen many times even though I try to pick them out before using the tobacco. The sticks are too numerous to get them all. Also by the time you have used half the bag you have only ground tobacco left that is more powder than pieces of tobacco and you can't roll a cigarette with it because it packs so tight. The bag that the tobacco is packaged in isn't air tight so the tobacco dries out before you can get very far in to the bag. If you can keep it moist you don't have as much powder left in the bottom of the bag. It breaks up so bad and fast because it dries out so fast. I store mine in extra ziplock bags over the original. I use things to moisten it during use and still wind up with so much small junk left in the bag that isn't usable that the money I save on Gambler is wasted many times over. The tubes are so thin that sometimes I have to trash every third one because the open end wrinkles and will not feed on to the loader. The boxes of tubes are most of the time loaded with tubes that have wrinkled ends on them that can't be used, just thrown away and when you can use them they always collapse when you push them onto the machine to load them. The only good thing about Gambler tobacco is, nothing. It is cheap, trashy tobacco that companies like Dollar General Store sell so they can sell at a lower price than a worthy tobacco. The tubes are too thin to be used efficiently without wasting a lot of them and the Gambler rolling machine, yes I made the mistake of buying one, is very hard to use because the ends you hold on to when you slide the loader will collapse on you because it has no support at all. Just two thin walls than bend as soon as you slide the top back.in short, I think Gambler has got away with supplying an inferior product at a price just barely under other brands and it ought to be removed from the market. All of them. tobacco, tubes and rolling machines.
As I said before, there ends up being so much unusable tobacco left in the bag that any savings you get from buying Gambler is lost many times over. With a half pound bag at $8.00 a bag you can use about 1/2 to 2/3 of the bag if you are lucky. The tobacco is ground so fine in the first place that it takes nothing to end up with fine pieces left in the bag that are unusable to roll a good cigarette. Take into consideration that it is $8.00 a bag and you can use about $5.00 worth of it, providing you have a lot of time to pick out the sticks and trash, exactly where are the savings? I can drive into Ga. and get a pound bag of decent tobacco for $14.00 to $16.00 a bag and tubes that are a little thicker and work fine. But as I said, I am not able to go due to illness I have had for three years so at this time I am stuck with buying a super inferior product or more expensive pre-rolled cigarettes from the store. I live in Fla. and if you know anything about tobacco prices in Fla. you know it is expensive. A pack of brand cigarettes can be as high as $7.00 a pack. More as you go further south.
In short. Gambler is ripping off the general public who are trying to save money by rolling their own cigarettes by selling an inferior product and they are getting away with it every day. But I guess there is nothing that can be done about it anyway. That is the way of business in this great country. Too bad.

Gambler Tobacco Company old and dry

This is the 4th time I have bought Gambler Tobacco products from this V.I.P. Smokers Store, on Greenfield in Dearborn, MI, 48126 and it's been so dry it would jam my machine. I took it back one time and they gave me another bag, but when I complained about the others, I was told, "Oh, Well, put some apple peels in the bag" What the heck, you don't back the products you sell. I used to buy this particular product all the time — but never will again, and I will find a different store.

I've been packing my own cigarettes with Gambler pipe tobacco mint for a very long time and only recently noticed in the last 1 lb. bag that the tobacco was stale. Usually, when I open a new bag, the menthol permeates the entire room. Not so in the last bag, no fresh smell, drier than a popcorn fart and much harder for my hand packer to pack. I'm hoping this was a fluke with just one bag but looking at these other reviews, it appears the quality is going downhill. If my next bag is like the last one, I'll be shopping another brand. If Republic Tobacco would care to comment or perhaps reimburse me with a coupon, they can reach me at jaybyrdcom@hotmail.com Will Gilkey, Bowling Green, KY

I have been tubing with Gambler Full Flavor----"Freshness guaranteed" for about 5 years. The last 6 of 8 bags, .barcode
[protected] 9, have been very dry, which does jam up my machine. I don't understand the reason and it is very disappointing to realize how dry it is when first opened. Maybe I should try Rave as Karyn did. Not satisfied, if tobacco is guaranteed, then I should be reimbursed. Any chance of that happening? Probably not! Kathleen Nielsen of Franklin Boro, NJ

Bought a bag of your non menthol tobacco because I'm allergic to something in the menthol and all week my cigarettes have tasted like menthol cigarettes. If you could please fix that it would be greatly appreciated sincerely Shrae Boomer 220 Irish St Erin Tn [protected]

Same!
Recently I purchased a 1lb bag of Gambler Gold Tobacco as I do weekly from the Casey’s down the road. Got home and rolled about five cigarettes before lighting one up. Much to my surprise, the tobacco in the Gambler Gold bag was menthol. What a surprise as I hate menthol cigarettes. Lol very strange. I then dumped the bag out and rolled one from the bottom of the bag and same thing. Yuck! Just wondering if others have complained of this and had to pitch their bags also?

My husband & I purchased a 8oz. bag of gambler regular tobacco and ARE NOT happy! The tobacco was dry and burned faster then the other tobacco we used. WE WILL NOT be buying this brand ever again.

For years I have been buying you product in Full flavor 1lb bags and the last few months I have been very unhappy with the quality of your product. I have been finding sticks, big leaves, and the bags don't seem to be as full as they used to be yet the price keeps going up! I am just writing to let you know that in the future I will be trying other product...
