DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Item delivered damaged and wow what a challenge to return
Tried to return via phone, nope had to email
Then email pictures of the damaged goods
Then email pictures of the damaged goods boxed up
Then email more pictures
I had to go out and buy three roles parcel tape
Call the delivery company myself - book time off as collection is Mon- Friday - they didn't show
Rebook delivery company - paying someone to be at my house - they didn't show again
Call delivery company again
Send countless emails ALL TO RETURN FAULTY FURNITURE

Ordered a grey table which turned out to be white. The company will not let me return the item without paying £95 to collect it, they say the colour can be different due to the display settings on my computer. I don't know how it could completely change colour! The item is described as grey but is clearly not from the photo below.

Just in case FIF is reading this, do not post a generic response after this review like you have done with so many other complaints on here claiming you cannot find my order details as here they are...order number:106573 ticket number:7387.

I ordered the milana high gloss coffee table at a cost of £449.50 . Absolutely loved the look of the table and the price comparing it with other sites was quite reasonable. Table was despatched and received very quickley...all good so far.
Upon opening of package and taking table out of the box I noticed the table was damaged, some deep scrape's and scratches around the bottom rim as if it had been dragged along a hard surface. Package completely intactso not damaged during transit. So I phoned customer services and was told they couldn't do anything over the phone and I had to raise a ticket on there website (turns out the system one of the most annoying and difficult things I've had to deal with In a while). First response was I needed more pictures...fair enough...second response accusing me of dragging the Item along the floor during the use of it and offering a 10% refund if I keep the damaged item. How dare they accuse me of that why would I do that with something I've just purchased. So I wrote them a colourful response and told them to send a courier as per there terms and conditions. Nope turns out they will not do this so I just wanted to put and end to the whole thing and sent it back via TNT. This cost me £150. So I got my next response saying that they received it and it had extra damage on it so they were deduction £100 from my refund and i would have to claim this from my courier. This sounds like complete bul#@%t to me as the package was completely shielded from damage like the pics they sent me showed. Asked them for more pics so I could make a claim with TNT and said flat out no they weren't sending me what I required.

Absolutely disgusted with this company as they have flat out ripped me off!

Please heed my warning and do not purchase from FIF as you could be next to be n this situation.

We bought 6 dining room chairs from this company, they arrived after 6 calls from the courier company who said that my address didn't exist..
We unpacked the 6 chairs and every chair is either scratched, damaged, chipped, has holes in, rattles, or is of poor quality.
I emailed them, used their ticket system but their customer service number is just a voicemail and nobody ever replies or gets back to you. They are refusing to accept the fact that the chairs are of poor quality and are asking for pictures, I have emailed them pictures and not heard anything from them. I called their sales number to speak to someone but they refuse to put you through to anyone. I called twice as the sales person put the phone down on me, twice... I spoke to a manager and he said that I have to return the chairs at my cost, despite the fact that every chair has some damage or of sub standard quality. If you get a delivery, you have to check at time of arrival as to the quality and whether there are faults or not, if you don't they are basically saying that you have accepted the quality and it's no longer their problem. The goods are poorly packaged, in one box and you are expected to check every part of the delivery before the driver leaves, which isn't going to happen as they are always late and in a hurry.
To avoid these issues, don't buy anything and you won't have these problems, don't be tempted by price or pictures or anything on their website, the after-sales is illegal and they don't support your basic on-line or customer service rights.
I have learned the hard way, don't be a victim and avoid like the plague... If you chose to go ahead, do it at your own risk... You have been warned!...

Furniture in fashion is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They sent me an item broken and not as described. but still refuse to give me a refund. I have no option but to go to small claim court. The customer services are rude and unhelpful. Avoid like the plague.

Absolute liar's whoever made those positive comments! this company is an utter disgrace. They ripped me off with over £500 table and chairs of terrible condition completely unusable as you cannot put the table together safely with the glass nearly smashing or just having bendy legs which mean its just so dangerous, you could never use it.

They point blank refuse a refund which means I am taking them to court and trying to do a refund through my bank. please please avoid them! I will be getting in touch with trading standards.

Stay away from this company ! I forgot to do research before buying from them. I recently purchased a bed frame from them and it is useless. I am slim built and when I sat on the bed for the first time, the slat broke. It looked dodgy anyway, only two slats made of chipboard - very bad and stupid design.
When I complained, they said : it has happened because of wear and tear and they cannot do anything about this.
How come it is because of wear and tear when I only tried to use for the first time? It was reported to them within 2 months of purchase, it took a long to assemble and find a suitable mattress.

How do they think that a couple of chipboards (very weak) would survive on an adult's weight?

The Order Number of this purchase was: 88926 and the item was delivered in October, 2014. A complaint ticket was raised on 24th November, 2014.

I fully agree that this company should not be trading.

the positive comments must be from employees because the majority of the stories are from genuine persons being ripped off by furniture in fashion as I have experience this myself. We need to try and close this company from trading.

I bought an expensive shoe cabinet costing £170. After 8 months the drawers kept on collapsing due to poor quality materials and fixings. I wanted to contact them but there's no telephone number or email address. You have to go through their stupid 'ticket' system online which is such a farce.
Eventually after submitting my complaint they said I've had the product more than 3 days so its now outside their terms and conditions and closed the case. I submitted another ticket pointing out that it should last a few years, not a few months. The reply was that it's been over 6 months and that the reason for breaking down was down to my misuse and that I could have replacement parts but I would have to pay for it. I have never come across a company like this one. They are cheats and rogues. Once they have your money they're not interested. Don't touch them with a barge pole. You have been warned! I am shocked that they are still being allowed to trade by Trading Standards or other authorities.

My tale of woe is similar to those above. Ordered 4 items. 2 arrived damaged. This was 6 weeks ago. They have the worst customer service department ever. I am emailing most days and phoning the sales line to speak to someone as the customer service phone support is non existent! They don't care. They just want your money and deliver you shoddy goods and take no responsibility. I'm so frustrated and livid.

Please people never ever use this company! I have been trying for a month now to return a tv stand as it's not suitable, they have people ignored my e mails and calls! I posted on their Facebook page, they were however keen to remove my negative but true comments! I cannot understand how this company is allowed to continue trading? Absolutely awful please stay away and never use them! I wish I have read these reviews before I ordered from them!

This company has got to be the worst Ive ever had the misfortune to come across. Item received after 3 weeks of waiting, came damaged completed online forms etc as advised to do, was eventually collected, in December 2013. 4 months later I am still waiting for refund I phone and email them every day nobody ever rings you back customer service is disgraceful, never a manager to speak to, you just get fobbed off all of the time. I pity anyone who has made the big mistake of purchasing anything from them and I wonder how they are still managing to trade, as Bolton Trading standards are fully aware of them. £200 out of pocket, the lot of them should wear masks, its downright robbery.

They are a bunch of lying, scamming dodgy rude people. They haven't even delivered our side table and have never picked up the phone. I have literally just got off the phone from lambasting this "sales lady" who wrote my email down wrong twice and said it would take 4 days to process my request for a refund. I kept her online until she sent me an email saying they've confirmed the return and should be with me in 4 days. If it is not there in 4 days they had better run for cover after reading these reviews. I'm livid, I have never been so rudely brushed off in my life by people I've paid money to.

I was looking for a coffee table and found
the perfect one on furniture in fashion. They delivered the table in good time
and I was really excited when it arrived! My husband put the table together
only to find a huge chip on the edge of the table. It was very noticeable so we
took apart the table and put it back in it's box. The next day I went to ring
furniture in fashion to organise for them to collect it and provide a full
refund. I went onto their website and they don't have a telephone number for refunds
- they only way you can organise a refund is to fill in an online form. I
filled in the online form, submitted it, along with pictures and waited 10
days, still no response. I emailed their customer service but with no response.
By this point I felt like they had sent us a faulty item and stolen money from
us. After 14 days, I contacted the courier company and they organised to pick
it up. I still hadn't heard back from furniture in fashion and the courier said
they had nothing to do with refunds, just that they will take it back to their
warehouse. I assume we will receive our 170 pound refund - however, I STILL
haven't heard from them. This would be the worst online experience I have ever
had and I do a lot of online shopping. They should just stick to their showroom
in the UK and not sell furniture online. I hope I receive my refund, if not
then I'm not sure what I can do as there is absolutely no way to contact them
except filling out forms online. Yet they don't even get back to you - it is
all automated responses.

I will not recommend furniture in fashion to anyone I know. Do not put yourself
through the hassle. There are plenty of other furniture stores online who know
how to run an online business and who know how to treat consumers properly.

Its totally shocking how this company treats its customers. They delivered me the wrong mirror, so I put it back on the delivery van. They then denied ever receiving it back and did not replace or refund my money until I threatened them with court action. Every time I tried to speak to someone they pointed me to their ridiculous online form which did not cover my situation - as its for faulty or damaged goods - which mine was neither - just the wrong item. When I filled in a small claim they defended it with lies - eventually I gave up - they refunded me my money but no apology or acknowledgement that it had taken me two months to get it back.

I agree with all the negative experiences above. The positive reviews appear to be churned out by the same person with a terrible grasp of the English language.

Don't expect any phone calls or responses to emails. A month of chasing up, and my items haven't arrived. Sorry I ever got involved with this 3rd rate outfit.

Furniture in Fashion should be avoided like the plague. The positive reviews are SO gushing and worded oddly, I think the company must have written them themselves... doesn't surprise me.
11 September - ordered a unit that would fit into an alcove in our hall. Cost £75
Arrived. (Poorly made as one screw wouldn't fit into a metal runner so we were going to have to got the DIY store). However, the size on the website was not correct and the unit wouldn't fit into the alcove.
Although this was completely their fault, they wouldn't give a full refund. My subsequent emails and phonecalls just went into a bottomless void. I tried finding an email for the senior management, but the company just has one owner - so no complaint escalation option. After receiving no responses from my emails and staff on the phone who can only "take a message" I finally gave up the fight for a full refund. Life's too short.
In mid November I accepted a part refund - ie I would pay £35 for them to collect the unit that they advertised wrongly in the first place. Further chasing was needed to finally get this - still without any responses from the company.
I finally got my £42 refund on 23 December.

Furniture in Fashion is a truly horrible company - I hope that no-one buys anything from them so that they go bust - exactly what they deserve.

We bought over £2000.00 worth of furniture in August 2013. Most of the items were delivered ok but 1 item was damaged. Another item, Dining table and chairs worth over £800.00 was not in stock. We were told it would be 4 weeks, after waiting 8 weeks we asked to change to another table and chairs which was in stock and cheaper. This table was also damaged! We are waiting for a refund of over £800.00. We contact them every day by telephone and email, we have been told several times a refund has been arranged but we have yet to receive. They are now avoiding our calls. I have contacted my credit card company who are now dealing with it. I have also reported to Which consumer rights and Trading standards. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY!

i had ordered a dining table and 4 chairs from this company, in august then to be told that i have to pay £50 delivery charge so i decided to cancel it, to be told that the table was a special order and i had to pay a cancelation fee, , as i soon told the useless ###ed git on the phone that the table was not a special order it was on your web site thats why i ordered it, your advetising it so how does it make it a special order, so having going through phone call after phone call i was on there web site filling in a cancelation request and at the bottom it say's there will be £10 fee taken from your refund to process this cancelation..., sorry no you cannot speak to customer services as it's all done online...i now have trading standards on my case ...STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS MONEY GRABBING F~#@ERS

totally agree with what others are saying..Avoid this company..unless like me you wait and wait for your Refund..after sending back faulty items...Their Ticket system is just a complete joke..no-one replies..and when they do..it is always in disagreement to what you think..i.e. I sent back faulty items with pics..now they are saying they are all in Good condition..Blimey ...what a load of rubbish..so where did my photos go of the damaged items? I am going to place this in the hands of My Credit Card Account under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act...But I say again...Avoid at all costs...I just don't know how they can get away with it.

A very unhappy customer.

ordered a tv cabinet that was not fit for purpose!. Described as glass fronted tv cabinet but was actually a piece of frosted glass stuck onto a heavy wooden door. Could not change sky etc as the door was so thick. Tried to return the item, was given 5 different collection days and no one turned up. No communication and no appology. Courier collected item on 6th attempt, 6 weeks after originally organising return. Still not received refund 6 weeks later. Dont touch this company, after sales service is shocking!

After reading these reviews, they have made me really worried. I recently purchased a tv unit from them, not because they were the cheapest but because I simply liked what I saw. Well fingers crossed that I will have something positive to say about them. I have no idea when to expect delivery and I suppose it's only been 2 days now. Fingers crossed.

A month and a half we've been waiting, three attempts to get a dining table in time for Christmas. First one damaged. Second one, they took two weeks to tell us it wasn't in stock. Then the third one arrived 2 days before Christmas with damage all down one side, 6 black chairs were ordered, four brown ones and two black ones turned up. Still waiting for a reply to their unfunctional ticket system they use instead of dealing with customers complaints/problems. A bit of advice - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Blimey, either you lot hadn't received a faulty or damaged item from this company or you are employees! they have a dispicable way of treating its customers and make it really hard and stressfull when trying to get a refund that you are entitled to. Take it from me 1 month and 5 days on still trying to get my £200 refund for an item where the product wasnt even finished!
