Furniture Buzz Scam

I had placed an order back in January and its now April and they keep lying, saying that "It will be there in the next 2 weeks, and not sending me a refund.

I am on a mission after these people until I get a full refund for my order. This time they messed with the wrong person. And if you were also a pissed off customer, please join me in fighting these people. Lets rip them a new one in EVERY website we can. Lets put them out of business!

Unbelievable! I just checked on the status of my order from 7/9/11 for $1344.30 and it said they were out of business! So I called the 888 number and they said to call back during business hours from 9-5. I've never had this happen in all the years I've ordered on the internet so I'm not sure where to start but I WILL get my money back. I am in total shock that this could happen and that they can get away with it!

I totally agree these two guys Rob and Jordan are the scamers there and do not beleive it is even any letimate business whatsoever, They stall with any delivery lie saying it is in-stock merchandise. Then when you cancel they lie about the processing from teir accounting department, which by the way also is nonexsisitant and does not take calls I wonder why! I am suing for my time and enrgy put forth thus far any one interested in going class action hit me back!

Furniture Buzz Stay away

I ordered furniture in mid January, they took payment immediately (almost $1, 300.00) and lied/stalled for the next 2 months on its status. I had to initiate contact at each stage of their stalls and never got promised email updates that were supposed to come after they contacted the manufacturer. I finally had enough of their lies, stalls and deceptive/fraudulent practices and cancelled my order.

My furniture (Seaside Dream dresser and nightstand by Lea Furniture) is made in the US (Robert said it was made "overseas") and was in stock at Lea's North Carolina warehouse (4 dressers and 18 nightstands in the Pink Taffy color I ordered), yet Robert said the opposite. How did I find this out? Called a local furniture store (Woodley's Fine Furniture) and they got the information for me.

After I cancelled, I was told it would take 15 to 20 days for a refund...all the negative reviews I read, afterward (should have read them before I ordered), said it was upwards of 60 days before customers ever saw their money, if at all. I was freaked!

But, I got my money back in just 10 days. Here's how I did it.

1. I immediately called my bank to start the fraud/dispute process.

2. I sent a formal complaint email to FurnitureBuzz (no response, of course).

3. I did my research, including finding out the truth about the availability, country of origin and exact shipping time for my furniture.

4. Got plenty of information/documentation on all the horror stories suffered by their other victims.

5. Filed a claim with BBB Southeast Atlantic

6. Filed a claim with IC3 (FBI's internet fraud website)

7. Sent a demand for payment email, with a copy to the BBB, to FurnintureBuzz outlining everything I'd done (claims filed, factual info from a real furniture store, list of the myriad customer complaints) and everything I would do (call their local law enforcement in Savannah, GA, escalate my claim to fraud at my bank) if I didn't see the money by today, Friday, 18 March.

All that was by Wednesday, 16 March, and the money arrived in my bank account this morning.

I would have had my money sooner if I'd done everything quicker, but this was a bit of a learning process (who to contact, what to do) so it took me a few more days.

Reasons to avoid them:

1. Deceptive/fraudulent business practices

2. They outright lie about availability, status and your rights

There are plenty of more specific details about how their victims have suffered, here and at epinions.com and resellerratings.com (including mine, at both those places), if you need more reasons on why you should NOT do business with them.

Don't do what I did and neglect to Google for reviews BEFORE placing an order. Do your research, FIRST.

Furniture Buzz Don't buy from them

Do not buy from Furniturebuzz on ebay and www.furniturebuzz.com

I am writing this because they are the same company. They ripped me off and will take advantage of you.

This company waited until the day of delivery to let me know that the item I purchased wasn't in stock!

All they had to do was email me within a few days of purchase or refund me right away. This is not a reliable company to deal with.

Buyers beware. I have wasted so much time dealing with them. I need to warn you, you will suffer losses from them too.

I am a little confused by this complaint. I understand that they did not notify the customer that the item was delayed however she states that they ripped her off. Did they keep her money and not give her the item she purchased? If she either got the item eventually or if they gave her a refund this would not constitute a rip off.
