$100 SCAM
I wanted to call Verizon to pay my bill. I mistakenly dialed Verizon's phone number by mixing up a number. Not aware of this, I honestly thought that the scammer that answered the phone call was truly a Verizon representative. This scammer began the phone call by explaining to me that for only a dollar and reading over information, I would receive a $100 Wal-Mart giftcard in the mail. I continued to believe that this was in fact Verizon and legit, although I still asked many detailed questions before giving out my credit/debit card information. I asked things like, "are you sure that I will only be charged 1.00 and nothing more, ever"? The man went on to repeat again that all I needed to do was read and look over a packet of information that I'd receive in the mail, and after reading, it was up to me to decide if I wanted to continue with anything. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY PACKET IN THE MAIL. I DIDN'T RECEIVE ANYTHING AT ALL FROM THEM-ZIP-NADA-NOTHING. OBVIOUSLY, NOT EVEN THE GIFTCARD. I later realized that I had dialed the wrong phone number, and since then I have not been able to reach any of the scammers on the phone nor any information regarding this scam, except sites like this one, where people are complaining about the issue, BUT PLEASE, HAS ANY ONE SUCCESSFULLY DEALT WITH THIS ISSUE AND RECEIVED ANY TYPE OF RECONCILIATION AT ALL? PLEASE SHARE!
Complete Fraud
I've just realized that I have fallen victim to Fun Vantage which I don't think is a real business. I had just looked up the latest transactions of my debit card online and found out that $19.95 had been taken out of my debit card on 1/29/2015! Two weeks ago I had received a card in the mail that says I have an unclaimed reward on my account and that they are holding $100 in savings for me, good at Wal-Mart, Target and many more in my name. And then it says that that will be my only notice and the deadline to claim my reward is on 1/30/2015. I was kind of skeptical about calling the number on the card at first, but then I stupidly got on my phone and called the number on the front of the card! I guy with a heavy Spanish accent answered the phone and promised me at first that I only have to pay $1.00 in order to get my reward. But then he asked me a series of questions about different offers and made me say yes to all of the questions because I had said no to some of the questions. I was on the phone for almost an hour with him and a 2nd and 3rd party person! I had never been scammed like this before. They made things sound so promising, though. I haven't even received the $100 reward yet! I'll never fall for scams like these ever again! I'm gonna request a new debit card asap! Here is the number that's on the front of the card: [protected]. I decided to include this number in my complaint because I'm wondering if the people in charge of this complaint board have the authority to call the Better Business Bureau or do I have to be the one to call it to state my complaint about Fun Vantage? I want these scammers to be caught and brought to justice and I want my $19.95 put back on my debit card! I'm low on income and I cannot afford my money to be stolen like this!
Fradulant
Fun Vantage calls from India and claims HQ in California. They will not disclose their true business address or if they are listed on BBB. (Better Business Bureau) Their mail out card asks you to call to receive a $100 gift card good at Wal-Mart or Target. You must first give them your credit card # so they can charge it $1.00 to give you a confirmation number, and they also want your email address. I called Wal-Mart and they are not familiar of any such company or discount service. Warning to everyone -- do not fall for such scammer's!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The company works on something called misdials, they tend to get inbound calls redirected by one or two digits off the actual number that you've dialed. The best practice is to ask DIRECTLY and constantly if this is the company that you were trying to reach i.e. use the name of the company constantly in the call, they will eventually either clarify or just plain opt out of the call. Remember, under FTC regulations they cannot mess with your financial information otherwise they are DEAD. Also, when you call for a refund, insure that you ask for a COMPLETE refund including any and all past billings.
nope I never got my card and this was just last week they promised me this and my credit card company cancelled my card and sent me another one because they said they did not TRUST THEM!
I am commenting to list my additional issue with FUN VANTAGE, but FIRST, I want to ask EVERYBODY : HAS ANYONE SUCCESSFULLY RESOLVED THEIR ISSUE WITH FUN VANTAGE (OR ALSO KNOWN AS SIMPLE NEWS) ?

I was as well promised a $100 dollar gift card. I was attempting to call AAA for roadside assistance. The phone number was similar 866 rather then 800 number. My CC was hit with $19.95 charge.
Never received $100 GC- What a joke
The company Fun Vantage contacted my brother and offered cheap medical help. He agreed and decided to register on their website, but it showed some error. Later he provided the contact info and card number, and they started to charge me for $5 per month. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Can you provide any good piece of advice?

Its a rip off I was promised 100.00 gift card Walmart and they wanted to give me couponsthey are a scam
I have also received on of the cards telling my they were holding a $100.00 gift card that was good at Wal-Mart, Target, and many more so I called the 844 number and when they put me on hold waiting for the next available person and I held for approx. 20 minutes, I hung up the phone and this morning, I received a call from area code 806 which when
i searched it on line, the numbertcam up as FLOYDADA, TX. When they requested a CR CARD number to charge a $1.00 handling fee to I started asking questions and when I ask the name of the conpany, all I could make out was "FUN VAN' from the personwho could not speak very good English. And when I ask to speak to someone who could speak English, I was again put on hold till they go someone and after a minute or two I noticed that I had been disconnected and wemt on line and when I searched for "FUN VAN", I found this site. Please be careful when you get these cards through the mail. The next one I get will be put thru my shredder where this one will be put.
Well if you people really dun want to be scammed then why do u go greedy for $100 do u think someone can give you $100 for no reason but just for calling a wrong num. They make thier side secured and record the call in which you people give them an approval to charge you various ammounts after a specific trial period so don't be fools and if u do so then don't repent .
Lied about the price of the service
The representative from the company Fun Vantage contacted me and offered to buy their package, which contained promotional items. I paid only for postage, which was $5.99. And after I provided my card number, the representative didn’t provide confirmation email. I never heard from him again, and I wanted to warn everyone not to believe what people say and offer you to buy. They are liars and scammers. Please, post your comments.
i have been charge for this whatever it is and i did not authorize it
I was offered a gift certificate value at $100 and just pay a shipping charge of $4.95. I tried to contact the company via email, which I've nev er heard from them yet.

Yes I did get scam on this now they are taking 19.95 out of my account now.
You have to listen the call carefully they tell you each and every thing clear on the call they do not charge you until you give them a clear approval . So your approval is a clear proof that you have signed for this agreement and you are agreed to try the program for atleast the trial period
