Flower order was placed June 1st for delivery on June 6th, which did not happen. I called thier customer service dept. and was assured that the flowers would be delivered the next day and I would get a phone call from them to vrify that was done. No flowers where delivered and I recieved no phone call. The same situation occured the next day and the next dayand the next day and the next day.Today, 6 days later the flowers have still not been delivered.

I own and operate a local florist.Walmart and other big retailers has stolen our business and they get bigger and bigger every year. Now FTD and Teleflora offer you flowers less than what we can pay for them and thats another cut of our business. Both wire services and 1 800 flowers offer more than any florist could possiably deliver. Then to top it off, they will discount for near nothing and ship it out of there warehouse with no refridgeration at all.FTD, Teleflora and especially 1 800 flowers, Blooms today, are nothing but a bunch of greedy people preying on the american public, the only thing they will look out for is their pocketbook.Sue Avery, Drummonds Florist

FTD Companies scam and cheating

We ordered a "pastel palette bouquet' for mom's 84th birthday. she received, "sweet delight", red and purple valentine's bouquet. InBloom the local florist had only red. There "like" bouquet or substituion was $10 less. For an order of $104, I am so perturbed she did not receive at least pastel roses. Ftd substituion clause should have a note saying, xmas, valentine and easter may see only red or lily white . Or that special holiday are barred from anything resembling your order!

your best bet is to order directly from a local florist, they will let you know what is available at thier shop to accomidate your order.FTD or teleflora or 1800 flowers and the like have not a clue what is available in the local shops area .

This is an advice to all potential FTD customers as well as potential member florists. DO NOT go for FTD. I repeat, DO NOT go for FTD unless you want to get cheated. For potential customers, be aware of this, FTD covers itself with clause to allow it to substitute flowers. With this simple clause alone, they are able to freely and legitimately give you rubbish & you are usually not in the position to know what & how much is being delivered at the other end. This essentially gives FTD a free hand to deliver to deliver whatever they want. Then, remember this; From what you pay, 30% is taken off for commissions etc by agent florists. Also, another amount is deducted for delivery for delivery charges. What’s left for the flowers can be anywhere between 40 – 60% of what you had paid. I know this because I was an ex-FTD member florist.
For potential member florists, avoid FTD like the leprosy. They cheat you from right under your nose and every month! How do they do it? They make their monthly statements so super complicated that it becomes incomprehensible so that you can sneak in intentional “errors” all sorts of unfounded fees repeatedly every month without getting detected and get away most of the time. Frequently when you find out that you have been had and you try to get your money back, they tell you that the window period for dispute is over or that your records have been expunged from their data base and so can no longer address the problems. Even if you catch them very early, they will give you ridiculous and unreasonable answers. No matter how many people you talk to (assuming that you have the time and patience to wait through their ear benumbing phone system), you will not get your money back. If you try to get to speak to Senior staff, the chances of them returning your calls are lower than you winning the lottery jackpot. After being and FTD member florist for 6 years, I was cheated of total exceeding $10, 000. Now I can breathe a sigh of relief after cancelling membership with them. For 6 years, I was under constant anxiety and frustration when dealing with FTD. For any florist looking to subscribe to a flower wire service company, I recommend that you try www.irisadvantage.com and www.clearoot.com . These people are so much cheaper, easier to deal with, use very simple billing, etc. For those who insist on joining FTD, I wish them good luck. Should any reader be interested to find out more about FTD’s scamming tactics, I can be reached at [protected]. I’ll be more than happy to fill you in.

FTD Companies horrible service

Worst flower company I have ever used! Not only were the flowers not delivered on time, they were the wrong flowers. On top of that, I had to leave work to pick them up myself. When I called for a refund, they will not issue my refund until the florist picks the flowers back up. This is the worst service I have ever used. I will never come back to this company ever again. On their website they state "Satisfaction Guaranteed" is compleatly false because I am not satisfied! I have used ProFlowers before and had a problem but instead of picking the flowers back up, they gave me a full refund and a new set of flowers. That is the type of service and business I want to do business with again.

FTD Companies didn't deliver as advertised, then didn't cancel and refund

I had forgotten that it was Mother's Day back in Canada last Sunday, and so Saturday afternoon I searched through FTD for a florist that would deliver on Sunday. Took me a while, because a lot of the listings didn't specify delivery availability until check-out (which I went through several times).

Finally I found one that advertised same day delivery, 7 days a week, as long as orders were in before noon of that day. Well, this was the day before, so hurray for me, right? I gave them my mother-in-law's phone number as a contact. By 6pm that evening (EDT) they call to say they cannot deliver until Monday.

Sunday morning I tried calling them 3 times (they claim to have a 24hr number, but the answering machine conveniently doesn't work). This was 9am in the UK, so 4am their time. Finally I send an email marked urgent, and request both a delivery and read receipt - got the former, but not the latter, as you can choose not to acknowledge receipt.in the email I cancelled my order, specifying that I only paid their ridiculous surcharge for delivery because it was going to be delivered on Sunday. I could have paid half the price from half a dozen other local florists, both for the flowers and delivery, if I wanted delivery on Monday. I also sent a formal complaint to FTD online.

Now it is Tuesday, my mother tells me the flowers were delivered yesterday, and I have not heard a peep about my cancellation or complaint. They may be hoping that I will just go away and forget about it, but they are wrong. I didn't get what I paid for, and I even asked for it to be cancelled beforehand. I want a full refund!

FTD Companies billed for undelivered flowers

Paid premium price for mother's day flowers including huge penalty fee for having them

actually delivered on Mother's Day. My Sister did receive a bouquet of flowers at her door -

they were for someone else! She called the shop and they told her - so what - she could

keep them, or deliver them to the recipient - they didn't care. Since the flowers were sent

to my Sis as a surprise, she had no idea that she was an intended recipient too. Being the

saint she is (which is why we adore her) she drove around most of mother's day morning

trying to find the intended party. She did - a lady in her 80's who just bawled, that someone

had thought of her. If not for my Sis, she never would have received her order from these jerks.

I wait until almost 6pm on Mothers Day and my sis has NOT received her flowers so I call

FTD to cancel my order - I'm really burned. They tell me the florist is willing to deliver

them the day AFTER Mothers day. Well, I reminded her that I ordered online WELL in

advance and paid a premium price for ontime delivery - so no thanks, just refund me.

She got so nasty and angry, the FTD rep. named April — she asked in a snotty voice =

"So you don't intend to do ANYTHING nice for your sister?" I told her about my sis doing

the florists own work to deliver an order for another one of their botched deliveries and the

FTD rep just snorted and grumbled that I'd get my refund in a few days and then she hung up

on me. Truly, this is for real — 25 minutes after she hangs up — out of the BLUE, the rotten

florist shop calls my Sis to bully her into accepting delivery the day after mothers day with

the crappy scraps left over from the day before. That witch April got off the phone from promising me

a refund, promptly called the shop and told them to hustle their order so they could all still get paid.

My sis who then knew the story told them respectfully no thanks - please do not deliver because

she knew I had cancelled the order. The next afternoon, her son came home and there was the

SADDEST, SICKEST looking mess of flowers on her porch. Sis works from home and these slimes

never rang her bell. They dropped off that mess and slinked off, the neighbor actually saw the guy

tip toe to the door and drive off! How pathetic - these awful rats. First they toldl me they couldn't

deliver because no one answered the door, then they said that my sisters address didn't exist on

that street even though she's lived there for 15 years and my online order printout showed that ALL

the entered data was correct. Then this April even read off the name of some entirely different

woman with a different phone number that came up under my order reference number. WHAT

a tangle of lies and deceit. Bottom line — FTD has your money period. They will back their crummy

florist and NEVER the client. So scout around for a REPUTABLE floral shop near your recipient. Do

a yelp or other search first - then call the shop directly to order. FTD used to stand for integrity - and

those days are LONG gone!

FTD Companies insulting customer service

FTD failed to deliver flowers to the address as promised. Worse, their customer service rep 'Jake' - just laughed when I asked for delivery status. He breathed heavily into the phone like a psycho and would not transfer me to a supervisor. He just laughed. When I asked if he enjoyed letting people sit on hold and then being totally useless he said - 'yes'. When I asked to be transfered to a supervisor - he just laughed and continued to breath heavily into the phone.

This company is CRAP

I 've experienced the same as all of you only I'm working in the Middle East so I've had to ask relatives to call FTD. One time a customer rep could not even understand English to address my sister's request to cancel orderse and update status on others. Out of 4 orders, one was delivered TWICE yet I have been charged $93.98 on my credit card for an order that was canceled the same day and deducted my United airline miles so that out of 24000 I only have 104 left even though they were supposed to reimburse. The worst part is they give no customer service email or an address, just the online form that allows for no communication. I will never use them again either. No more middle men is right!

Just had a very disappointing experience with FTD as well. They did not even deliver the rediculously overpriced chocolates I added to my order. I will never use this company again. Service was terrible.

I'm in the same situation as everyone else. On May 5th, I placed 2 orders for flowers (Mother and Mother-In-Law in 2 different States) to be delivered by Mother's Day and neither order was delivered. Fed-X tracking number was provided, but as of Monday, May 11th, no shipping status. I've emailed FTD, but received no response. Called their Customer Service number, only to be told that there was a high volume of calls and that there would be a minimum 15 minute wait. This is the first year that I have ordered from FTD, but it will be my last. I will contact Bank of America to dispute the credit card charges.

FTD also failed to deliver flowers ordered on 5/5/09 for delivery on Thursday, 5/8/09. Called FTD on Saturday morning...they were out of stock on the flowers ordered, but they did not send a subsitution or contact me. So on Saturdday morning worked with the helpful CSR to chose an alternative arrangement that could be Florist delivered on Sunday, May 11 (Mother's Day). However, FTD FAILED. No flowers delivered on Sunday. (CSR made some misktake in the order system...) Contacted FTD on Monday(waited for 40 minutes, must have lots of issues from Mother's Day...). FTD offered to send flowers out on Tuesday, 5/12 and give us a discount on the service charge! They should have offered complimentary flowers for their 2 mistakes! FTD is not just selling flowers, but also the sentiment/thought of getting the flowers/gift send for the occassion on time. What terrible service...raised to supervisor did not get good customer service response either. The FTD brand is tarnished. Add your stories her and twit about them on twitter with #FTDFAIL

FTD Companies wrong plant delivery

I ordered Florist.com a plant to send my friend who lost her family. It was to show my condolence.
They sent my friend red hydrangea with red big ribbon.
I did not know the fact until I stopped by her office.
I called the customer service at florist.com, but their local florist denied the fact the wrong flower delivery on the phone. Later that day, the delivery person came to my office and told the office receptionist that he picked up the DEAD flowers and bring new plant.
Also, the customer service person promised me that they would send the apology letters to my friend and me as well as give me the credit back to my account. It has been one month since the day.
I am really disappointed and still want their sincere apology.

FTD Companies poor service

This week I ordered flowers for my wife from the FTD website for
Valentines day. When they were delivered they were not the red roses I
had ordered. Instead, they were peach roses. I contacted FTD to
complain and they pointed me to their Substitution policy which
indicates they reserve the right to substitute flowers and containers of
equal or greater value if they would otherwise have a problem delivering
them on time. They do not contact the customer to alert them when a
substitution will take place to allow them to reschedule delivery or
order a different product.

I was not aware of the substitution policy at the time I ordered, and
when I was directed to the policy it was behind a link on the product
page that I had to scroll down to see in my browser.

Admittedly, I messed up when ordering and did not realize that I had
requested same day delivery (I had ordered the flowers one week before
Valentine's day). Regardless, it would have been nice if they had
contacted me beforehand to alert me to the substitution.

I hope this information helps others to not make the same mistake I made.

FTD Companies wrong order!

My boyfriend ordered flower thru FTD and send it to my office on valentine's day. I talked to my boyfriend over the phone and realize the order that he placed is completely different than the one that I got. He ordered a dozen of pink roses with a heart shape godiva chocolate. Mine is mixture of different color (pink, red, yellow, orange), and they all seems like dying when I got them. The chocolate that I got is just a regular box of godiva chocolate (definitely not the one they show on their website!) Also the flower has no decoration like the one show on website.

I am very disappointed with the service that they have. They completely ruin my gift on my valentine's day. And after that, I realize the flower that my boyfriend ordered cost $50 dollars and the one that they send me is only $20 dollars! What a rip off! I will never use that service again and I hope no one got trick by their website!

FTD Companies bad service

Made an order for red roses and a cute striped vase for mom on valentines day. What got delivered was a cheap vase with carnations and baby breath in it. So looked online and see it says they have a right to substitute flowers and vases. So buy roses and get cheap carnations? The sad thing is I went to the grocery store last night and saw beautiful red long stem roses for $20 and was tempted to buy them too but thought I had this great set coming to the house anyway. Boy was I wrong. Big mistake. Next time, I buy roses I SEE and deliver them myself. Never again will I ever buy from FTD.

DO NOT USE FTD.COM for flower purchases! Purchases are not delivered in a timely fashion or delivered at all! This is the 3rd attempt to have flowers or plants delivered and the product is NOT delivered on time or at all! It is extremely bad when other deliveries are made for flowers purchased from other individuals but NOT delivered by the spouse of the reciepient that was purchased 1 1/2 weeks in advance and at a very high cost!

This was the absolute worst service I've ever received in my life. I placed my order 6 days ahead of time and the order was never delivered. I called four times to find out why and nobody ever returned a call or gave me an answer. I finally cut out the middle man and went directly to the local florist where they had no record my order ever being placed. I'm now on day 11 of waiting for my refund, which was promised to be refunded within 6 days. I've made a total of 8 calls since starting this fiasco and all 8 times people have promised to call me promptly, as of right now I have received ZERO phone calls from them. I will never for any reason use this company again.

The same thing has happened to me today. Two months ago, I met the love of my life. I ordered Valentine's Day roses for her from FTD.com on 2/9/11 to be delivered to her place of work on Valentine's Day. As of 4PM on 2/14, they still haven't been delivered and she's about to leave for the day. Now, after ordering sufficiently early, I've been scammed for $85 because the roses were never delivered. Sigh... FTD: what of bunch of losers!

FTD Companies poor value and poor customer service

I was very disappointed in the flowers ordered from FTD that my wife received in the hospital. I ordered an "upgraded" version of a basic "Big Hug Bouquet", raising the price from $39.99 to $59.99 (plus tax and S&H).

What she got was what I consider no upgrade whatsoever. We received a small (13 inches in height) bouquet with a clear glass vase (not the opaque china like one represented on the site). It was an attractive bouquet, but one I could have purchased at my local supermarket for $15. My total cost was $80. People who have seen the arrangement were stunned to learn it cost so much.

A complaint to FTD went unresolved. They requested a refund from the florist, "The Flower Place" of Sarasota, FL. They declined to provide one, saying they had used "expensive flowers".

Don't take my word for it. See for yourself and decide. I created a site to show the actual bouquet:

http://www.crappyflowers.com (You may need to copy and paste that link into your browser)

On that page I show the FTD representation of the BASIC bouquet, and the ACTUAL UPGRADED one we got.

I recognize that FTD uses local florists, but I bought from FTD, and I expect FTD to resolve the issue. I will not use FTD again, and would never recommend them to anyone else. They apparently will not back there products. How could I ever be sure that flowers I send across the country are what they are supposed to be?

My boyfriend order roses for me for Valentine's Day. They cost my boyfriend $73.98, and were supposed to arrive on February 12, 2017, the day before he left for Florida on business. Instead, they arrived at my office on February 13, 2017, and they were frozen upon arrival. It took us 3.5 days to get thru to customer service, and then they had to recharge the order to a credit card and send a separate refund via paypal – which is how he paid for the order in the first place. SO a word to the wise – NEVER ORDER FROM FTD. (All of this is factual information and can be confirmed via photographs and multiple witnesses.)

I was promised a delivery would be made by noon on Feb. 13 -- I would never have placed the order otherwise. Instead, my wife left work at noon (for an entire week) and never rec'd her order. I asked FTD to refund the charge, given their "Satisfaction Guaranteed" promise. They would not; they argued that the delivery had been signed by her at 12:30.

First, 12:30 is not before noon. Second, this is an outright lie. We called her place of work and were told that the flowers were actually delivered at 2 and signed for by someone with an extremely different name.

DO NOT order from FTD. They will take your money, ignore their guarantee, and lie to defend themselves.

February 26, 2017 I ordered flowers to be sent to my son in Florida as a congratulations for purchasing his first home. He sent me a picture of what he received and it was NOT what I ordered. I contacted FTD and they told me they had a 100% satisfaction guarantee and would take care of the problem. A new delivery was made and this time the order was even worse, not even close to what I ordered. I sent a picture of the flowers to FTD and to my surprise they called me on the phone, apologized for the mix up and said a representative would be in contact with me the following Monday, which would have been MARCH 17, 2017...yeah, it was really taking this long. Needless to say, I have still not heard back from them and any emails I send are ignored. I will NEVER do business with them again and would NEVER recommend them to anyone. I was so disappointed and disgusted and what's even worse, my son still doesn't have his "Home Sweet Home" planter that I ordered!

I ordered flowers for delivery directly from the FTD website on Thursday, 12/7/2017 for my mother's birthday. I requested a delivery date of 12/9/2017 and completed my order as instructed -- by providing my email address, my daytime phone and my evening phone.

On Saturday morning, 12/9/2017, I emailed Customer Service at approx. 10:00 a.m. requesting confirmation of the delivery. Finally at 2:00 that afternoon, I received an email response from Customer Service stating that the arrangement I had requested could not be delivered until 12/12/2017 and suggested that I call Customer Service if I wanted to discuss the order or cancel it. I, of course, called Customer Service and proceeded to hold for 40 minutes (ironically listening to their taped recording of how important my business was to them). When a live person finally answered, I gave her my order number which she was unable to pull up on her computer as it was "pending." So there was nothing further that she could do. To wait for 40 minutes for this type of response was unbelievable. I asked to speak to a supervisor -- by this time I was less than amused and asked if it was company policy to NOT notify customers of impending problems with delivery. I stated that a 1 minute phone call from an employee notifying me of a problem at any time prior to the delivery date would have avoided all of the frustration (otherwise why ask for all of my contact details) -- not to mention saving my sanity from being on hold with the monotonous recording telling me how important I am. As it was, my mother never received her flowers for her birthday and it was much too late by then to make alternative arrangements. I could kick myself because after checking around online -- obviously this is not a new problem with FTD. I personally will never use FTD again. It's much too frustrating and upsetting.

On April 25, I ordered flowers for Mother's Day to be Delivered Friday, May 9. On Monday, May 12, I checked the FTD website to make sure that that indicated that the flower were delivered, and it indicated that the flowers had been delivered. My credit card had been charged as well. Meantime, I found out that no flowers had been delivered to my mother, so I called FTD, and was told that they had sent the order to all 6 florists in the area and all had declined to accept the order. I asked why, if that was the case (since I had placed this order two weeks in advance), I had not been notified that the flowers would not be delivered as promised, and furthermore why my card had been charged. After a long and meaningless story, the customer service representative told me that 'the best they could do' was to refund my credit card. I responded that since no services had been provided, and since I was not informed that my mother would be receiving no flowers for mothers day and since I was charged anyway, that was certainly NOT the least they could do, and that they should deliver the flowers for free AND refund the erroneous charges to my credit card. After a long wait, the customer service rep offered to deliver the flowers for 20% off. I told the rep that completely failing to honor an order placed far in advance and not informing me that that was their intent was a huge problem for me, and that was not sufficient. I asked to speak to the customer service rep's supervisor. After a long wait, the customer service rep returned and informed me that the best they could do was offer me 40% off for the order they had already charged me for and not delivered at all, and that delivering a mothers day order after mothers day was unacceptable and not at all what I had in mind. And I still have not received a refund on my credit card. This is a completely ridiculous reaction to a horrible business faux pas. ISend the flowers I ordered to be delivered for Mother's day and which were not delivered and for which my card was charge, free of charge AND credit my card for the entire amount of the transaction. Mother's day occurs ON the day not after the fact. These flowers were delivered two weeks in advance. I received NO notification that the flowers were not going to be delivered, although that was apparently obvious in advance of the scheduled date, nor did I receive notice after the fact, nor did FTD.com offer any compensatory service for the fact that they failed to honor my order and my mother received no mother's day flowers other than to offer me 20% off for mother's day flowers NOT on mother's day.

I ordered a bouquet for my mother's birthday 10 days before the delivery date (Dec 24). The order was never delivered to my mother's home but FTD's order status system falsely claimed that it was delivered. Not delivering the flower as promised was already bad. They even cheat customer by claiming that an order has been delivered! They have been "investigating" till now with no solid answer on what is happening. I will never order from FTD again.

I ordered flowers Thu FTD.COM for next day delivery,as it turned out their carrier DHL could not make their self imposed deadline of 3:00p.m. the next day. They finally got delivered at 7:00 p.m. They would not at least refund the delivery charge that WAS credited back to them from DHL This was my first and last experience with FTD.com. Also their customer service personnel are rude and useless. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

FTD.com website inventory showed a product was available; It was not FTD made an unacceptable substitution and ruined my 25th anniversary.

On or about August 19th I purchased 1 dozen long stem yellow roses for my 25th anniversary, I was very careful to only purchase items FTD's website showed as available. FTD substituted some kind of weird ugly white with red trim roses for the yellow roses. This was unsatisfactory, FTD made no effort to contact me and authorize the substitution; my wife was insulted after 25 years I had sent her friendship roses. Additionally I also purchased balloons from FTD, my wife had to stand outside in over 100 degree temps because of the incompetent delivery person. I contacted FTD Customer service. FTD Customer Service said they can make any substitutions they want as long as it is a similar product of same value. Buyer beware, FTD can give your loved ones what ever they want.

It is the consumer's right to receive what they purchase and it is not right for a company to substitute whatever they feel like substituting. At 1st I only asked for a full refund on the flowers, after FTD's answer I want a refund on both purchases on the flowers and the balloons, I will be more then happy to return the items to FTD. Nothing else will be acceptable FTD.com website inventory showed a product was available; It was not and FTD made an unacceptable substitution and ruined my 25th anniversary.

This is to warn "unsuspecting" folks. I decided to order Mom flowers for Mother's Day for the FIRST time and was I ever disappointed with product and service. The bouquet was NOT EVEN what I ordered and late with delivery. Saw the arrangement and was pitiful. So embarrassed.

Then went to Albertsons and bought the most beautiful flowers and she LOVED them. If FTD.com had any class, they would refund my credit charge. Please don't be fooled like I was. DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Ordered flowers to be delivered on May 6 for Mother's Day. The issue started the previous Saturday when a rep called me to change my order. I made the changes, confirmed the order on Monday. I had two orders being shipped out by FTD, and when I received confirmation on 5/6 for the deliver of one of the orders and not the other I called Customer Service and they said the order was cancelled! Not only that they said my money was refunded, which it wasn't. I explained I did not receive the refund, and they told me it was not cancelled. Then I tried to work with the customer service rep to change the order and continue with the having them send the flowers immediately-because the receipent should receive the flowers on 5/6 (the day this is all happening). They said they couldn't do that, and I told them to just give me a refund, but to send me an EMAIL of the cancellation and that I would be refunded!

I received the confirmation on May 7 at 12:34 am!

Just a note I was on the phone with Customer Service for 1 hour and 45 minutes. That blows!

I will never use FTD again. Perhpas if they move their customer service to the United States I may reconsider. Or, have people who are customers talk to customer service reps who both have the same language as their primary language. Comprehension is everything with Customer Service!

They suck!

FTD Companies failed to deliver flowers

I placed an order for flowers on 7/29 for delivery on 7/30. FTD calls towards the end of the day to tell me that the flowers could not be delivered because the nursing home said my Aunt didn't live there. After 20 minutes of being blown off and spoken too rudely by the FTD Rep, we determined that florist had been going to the WRONG nursing home. Then they refused to try redelivery! FTD refuses to make this right or refund my money. The say as long as the florist keeps trying to redeliver the flowers there is nothing they can do and they can't assign the purchase to another florist. I can do something - I can put a fraud complaint on my credit card ! I urge any one who has had problems with FTD to complain to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office in the state where the order was placed.

What they are doing is FRAUD, deceptive business practice and false advertising.

FTD Companies flower delivery

I ordered 'Todd Oldham' "Mother's Day Teapot" flower arrangement for my mom for Mother's Day.

What was delivered to my mom was NOT a floral arrangement, as was stated on FTD website and what was shown in photo.

What my mom received was flowers in a box!
She had to arrange the flowers herself.

Never will I purchase another "box of flowers" from FTD.

Unbelievable. Imagine if this had been for a funeral or something like that. What? The funeral director is supposed to arrange the flowers and do FTD's job now?

This is so ridiculous.

FTD Companies I will never use them again

On May 7th, 2008 I went online to order flowers for Mother's Day from FTD.com. My girlfriend and I ordered flowers for both our mothers.

Ten minutes after we place our order, I get a call from a FTD customer service representative stating that "the flowers that I have chosen are not available at a florist nearby" (bs, but anyways), "and that I could call FTD and speak with a rep or he would cancel my order and not charge my credit card." So I said "thanks but cancel my order." 5 minutes later I get an email from FTD stating that they cannot Process my order, and it will therefore be cancelled, and my credit card will not be charged.

So at this point you are all going, great what’s the problem. Here it is, needing flowers for mother's day I find a florist in both of our mother's home towns and order directly from them (should have done this in the 1st place). So I now have flowers going to our mothers perfect. Mother's day arrives and both mothers get the FTD flowers (the cancelled order) and the new flowers that I got from another florist because FTD cancelled my order.

So I patiently wait to see online if they have charged the flowers to my account, and yes you guessed it; they DID.

So I call there customer service rep, and discuss the matter with a very nice rep (Jessica), and explain my situation. She gives me the generic "well we have no records of calling you or sending you an email." and "if the flowers were delivered there isn't much we can do." HOLD ON you cancelled my order and then reinstate it with out telling me and "there's not much you can do?" So reluctantly I hang up because she informs me that she cannot discuss the matter further until she calls the flower shops to see if the flowers were indeed sent.

Fine I call back the next day and talk to 1 customer service rep, same story, so I talk to her manager, same story, so I go one level higher, same story. By this point the time I spent on hold in-between talking to someone grew in length (if we bore him with the hold music maybe he will go away). Once I finally talk to the 5th person, he informs me that I will be refunded my money BUT (this is the best part) to inform the people I got the flowers sent to that that the florist will be coming to pick them up! HAHA so FTD screws up and is going to get the florist to clean it up. The florist calls my mother, and she tells the florist the story, and she says "enjoy the flowers that is a waste of out time/$ for their mistake."

So I will never use FTD again, and I advise you to stay away from them as well.

I will never use FTD again. Simply put, if they do not hold their florists accountable, then they clearly do not need my business/money. I ordered a Mother's Day bouquet ("Dreamland Pink Bouquet" consisting of pink roses and peruvian lillies) this year, and had the option of 3 different price point arrangements: 14 stems with vase at $39.99, 20 stems with vase at $49.99, and 26 stems with vase at $59.99. After shipping and handling charges, the total for the order came to $90.98. I decided to go big and get the nicest, most expensive arrangment for my Mom. The photo depictions of the arrangements on their website show how each bouquet SHOULD look. Needless to say, when the flowers were delivered to my Mom's house, I was extremely disappointed and angry. The photos attached show what the arrangement was supposed to look like, and of course, the weak flowers that were actually delivered. After contacting FTD, they asked if the stem count was correct (which it was), and then explained that they could not verify nor hold the florist they used to locally arrange and deliver the flowers accountable. For $90.98, I would hope that I was getting what paid for... I guess not. And that is that, I will never again use FTD, and will encourage others to send their business to 1800flowers.com (who have always been spot on with my past orders) or other businesses that actually give a hoot about their customers.

I ordered flowers online for my mothers birthday--I got a confirmation number and my credit card was charged. No flowers ever arrived. I called the 800 number listed 10 times over a two week period. These are all independent reps and all they can do is "send messages". I signed up online and sent two messages off and I have never once received a phone call back, the flowers were never delivered. They have no customer service and my card it still charged. I called the credit card to file a dispute. I also filed a complaint with the better business beauru and don't ever, ever, order from them. Go directly to a reputable flowerist that you or someone else knows and recommends! This is fradulant!

FTD Companies no delivery for mother's day

I ordered 2 sets of Gardenia Bonsai for my mom and step mom on 5/6/08 for delivery on 5/8/08. My mom and my step mom live approximately 2 miles from each other. FTD sent one by FedEx the other by DHL. The one sent by FedEx was delivered on the day promised Thursday 5/8/08. When I tracked the package through DHL it said that it had been accepted and according to the FTD website was delivered on 5/8/08. Not true. When I called my step mom and asked her if she got her gift she said no. The monday AFTER MOTHER'S DAY, FTD informed me that DHL had not picked it up. I asked them why their records indicated that that it was delivered when it wasn't. No response. My response to them was that 1-800-FLOWERS does a much better job and that they had lost a customer. No where on FTD's website is there a place for complaints and one would think that the busiest day of the year for flowers being Mother's Day they would have people on the phones. No way their recorded message was that they were just too busy to talk to anyone. What a crock. But they were sending me advertisements in my email for delivery for Mother's Day on the Saturday before. Now we'll see if I get my refund.I look like a total idiot with my step mother.

I ordered my mother-in-law Mom's tulip bouquets for Mother's Day May 10, 2009. Th flowers arrived on Thursday, May 7, 2009. Thee was no card enclosed even though I did type out a card online and the card showed when I log into my order. We called her on May 10, 2009 and asked if she got the flowers, she said yes, and now I know who they are from as there was no card. We asked if they were pretty and she said that she will be writing us a note about it. We received a thank you note from her about 2 weeks later. She is 85 yrs old. She said in her note..."Thank you for the flowers. I don't want to sound ungrateful but that was a lot of money to spend on flowers that didn't even last 3 days. By Sunay morning they were completely wilted and I had to throw them away." When I got her note I was shocked! I immediately called FTD and they said there was nothing tey could do because I hadn't called within the 7 day time frame. I sked to speak to a supervisor and they still would not give any refund or re-send flowers. 2 years ago we ordered african violets for the same woman and they sent purple lilacs with instructions for the african violets. I will N E V E R order from FTD again!

FTD Companies gimmicks

This has happened for the third and last time. I order flowers online and paid the price listed. Within 2 days I receive an email from FTD, offering the same item on sale at huge savings. This time 20.00 off on a 39.00 item. When contacted they would not issue a credit. Its strickly a gimmick. Every time you place an order that item will go on sale to lure you in to another purchase. I sat on hold for 30 min. to reach a customer service rep and then 20 min. to speak to a supervisor, to be told no supervisor was available. I will no longer use this giant of a company.

FTD Companies poor quality, rude customer service

Ftd does not respond to emails. Their customer service line has you on hold for more than forty minutes. Once you get a respresentative they apologize and will not resolve your issue. I called corporate @ [protected] only to be greeted by one of the rudest receptionist in the world. But there is help available. Call [protected]. Fax [protected]. Good luck.

FTD Companies non-cancelling of orders!

I made a mistake and needed to cancel an order I made to FTD. Oh Lord was I setting myself up for days of misery. First, after realizing I had made a mistake I immediately contacted FTD - (First, they are so proud of their phone number they hide it in their name so you get the opportunity to spell it out on the keypad - don't you just love that - I feel like a second grader - uh, 1-800-S - E - N - D - F - T - D.)

After, (I thought) successfully canceling the order, I received the FEDEX tracking information sent to my email address. I thought this has to be a mistake but I will check anyway. Sure enough the package was shipped. Now I am getting real concerned. So, I call FTD again and sure enough, they can't cancel the order because it has already been shipped. But it was supposed to be stopped, your service Rep told me it was cancelled. Sorry, it has already been shipped.

Well, can I re-route the delivery so that it comes to my house instead of the recipients? Well, yes we can do that. Okay, here is my address. Fine, we will contact FEDEX immediately and have that changed. Next day, guess what, FEDEX was never given the information and there was an attempted delivery of the package. Fortunately the office was closed where it was being sent. Back to the phone I go, I call FTD again, (oh they have the most rude hold, they mix a little music with the most rude announcer you have every heard. She comes on every 5 seconds with some kind of an announcement from FTD. It is horrible.

Anyway, I finally get a rep on the line and they say, oh yes that order was canceled and refunded. But I just checked FEDEX, they attempted delivery but it failed for some reason. AHHH! I WANT THIS ORDER CANCELED. Next day, I go to FTD and here I sit with FEDEX set to deliver that package on the next business day, it's Saturday, and that annoying on hold announcer trying to get an order stopped that was supposedly canceled and refunded and canceled from being delivered.

"Oh, thanks for your patience." Oh my gawd... If I hear that once more I will go crazy. Mr. Bush, you should make those detainees in Gitmo listen to FTD's Hold for a couple of hours, it's just the torture you need to extract any information you want.

AHHH, I will never ever use FTD again.

FTD Companies teleflora

My husband wanted me to have a big, beautiful bouquet of flowers for Valentine's Day. He is blind and in a wheelchair so he could not order them himself. He really wanted me to have the very best because I just had lung cancer surgery. I went on-line to teleflora and ordered the flowers. They looked beautiful in the picture. My husband ask me if they cost at least $100.00 and I answered very close, $92.94. They were supposed to be delivered on the 13th of February. They were delivered on the 15th. We were not home to accept delivery due to my husband's doctor appointment, so they left them with a neighbor. When I went to pick them up I was totally shocked. When I told the neighbor what they had cost, she was in shock. They were nothing like what I expected. They were just a hair over twelve inches tall including the vase. I paid $92.94 for a bouquet with vase that would have cost less than $19.99 in a store. My husband was so distraut as was I. I phoned Teleflora and ask that my money be returned as I was highly unsatisfied. They offered me a 20% discount. I told them no. I emailed them and they offered the same and again I said no. They said they were going to credit my account for $17.99 since I had only received eleven roses instead of twelve. That means that each 10 inch rose cost $17.99? I phoned the florist who filled the order and she said the flowers called for were 8 roses for the regular order and 12 roses for the ultimate order. She said they were the height that Teleflora instructions told her to use. I will NEVER use this company again and I intend to file a complaint with everyone who is even slightly interested.
