Frigidaire advertised rebate

We purchased 3 new appliances for our kitchen in January 2018. We specifically chose these items because Frigidaire was running a rebate special, which we found on their website. We purchased 3 of the specificed models from the promotion. We purchased the items from Sears, as they were able to get the models in quicker than Home Depot & Lowe's. Ont he rebate form, the only retailer specification is "Must be an authorized Frigidaire retailer". As Sears sells the Frigidaire line, they are considered an Authorized Retailer. After I sent in all required information, I was informed that my rebate was declined. After spending an hour on the phone with their customer service deparment, I found out it was declined because I purchased at Sears. I asked if Sears is an authorized retailer. The woman said yes they are, but they are not one for this offer! I asked how I was supposed to know this, and she stated that I should have called Frigidaire first and asked! No where in fine print does it say to call Frigidaire and find out if the authorized retailer you are purchasing from is "one of" the authorized retailers. This "rebate" is an unfair ploy to entice shoppers to buy Frigidaire products and then refuse the rebate you were advertised. I will NEVER purchase Frigidaire products again. This program is a scam!

Frigidaire failure to respond

I purchased the Frigidaire Gallery french door refrigerator 18 months ago and it has now flooded my kitchen twice over the last seven weeks. The first time was on 3/4/18 and I contacted customer service regarding repair and damage to my home. Frigidaire sent a repairman a week later and said nothing was wrong. I contacted the repairman again after 10 days and reported that the fridge was not making ice and something was definitely wrong. The company failed to return my calls until, after a wee, I once again left a message for Frigidaire. The repairman returned again and again said nothing was wrong. One week following this visit the refrigerator flooded the entire kitchen again. By that evening, the refrigerator stopped working altogether and is not repairable per a Frigidaire licensed repairman.

The machine was full of water in its interior walls and yet again the water poured out as we removed if from our home.

It would seem to me that Frigidaire should buy this back from us at a reasonable price.

At this point Frigidaire customer service has ignored calls made and emails sent. I am shocked that I paid over $2, 000 for an appliance that lasted less than 18 months.

It was purchased on 9/26/16 and purchased at Lowes. I did not purchase an extended warranty (lesson learned). I do have the receipt at home but I am at work at the moment.

Thanks!

You responded, "It was purchased on 9/26/16 and purchased at Lowes. I did not purchase an extended warranty (lesson learned). I do have the receipt at home but I am at work at the moment."

Hi Tanya.

I wish I had the ability to do something directly, unfortunately I don't. But I might be able to provide you some ways to get some additional help.

If you haven't already replaced the fridge, try contacting Frigidaire at [protected]. They may be willing to help cover the costs of another Gallery fridge for you. For what it's worth, they really do make some great appliances.
Also you might try contacting the local Lowes store you purchased the unit through. Speak to their general manager and he/she might be able to throw some additional discounts your way in providing a new fridge.

That has to be really frustrating. No one expects a fridge to go out in such a short period of time. I wouldn't be surprised if either the manufacturer or retailer wouldn't do what they could to assist. Neither company wants to disappoint a customer.

Hopefully all will turn out well. Please take the time to post back and let us know how things turn out.

I am so very sorry to read about your recent issue(s) with your refrigerator. I'd like to get some additional information from you, if you'd like to provide it.

Where was this unit purchased and on what date? Was there any form of extended warranty coverage purchased for the unit?

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Frigidaire french door refrigerator

I have been trying to arrange for a repairman to come and repair a defective water filter in my new refrigerator. After several missed appointments due to miscommunications, I stayed home two weeks ago to wait for a repairman that was scheduled to arrive between 8-5. At two pm I decided to call to see if they were still on schedule. It was then I was told that the appointment was cancelled and a new one was made for two days later. Only problem is no one informed me of that! I could not take another day off two days later! Another appointment was made for today, and once again the repair did not happen. This time a call was made to my husband who was at work and was unable to answer the phone immediately. Ten minutes later he called back when he heard the message that the repairman would be arriving in 20 minutes, only to be told, too late, I left and Im not turning around. What is that about?
Is that customer service, if it is, then understand I will never buy another Frigidaire product!
How is it a company as big as Frigidaire can only contract one company in NJ to fix all of their issues.
What a frustrating, disappointing and futile effort is has been to try and correct this problem.

Appreciated reading your concerns.

Normally, service calls are not made on a water filter as they are a consumable with a value of about $35. You should be able to pick one up anywhere Frigidaire products are sold.

Assuming everything is addressed to your satisfaction, there is absolutely no reason to reply to this text.

This is my third attempt! We have had the above since 12/19/15 and have had two repairman come, one shortly after one years time of our date of purchase! One for the ice maker, then for control board! Now the ice maker does not work again! It is a very poor design with the ice maker located in ther regerator! We are asking frigidaire to make this right somehow! We did not want the exterior ice maker in the beginning, but were encourage to purchase it at Orville's to receive Galaxy package price! Repurchase four appliances at one time! We would have had to pay $100's more to get another refrigerator without the exterior ice maker! Please help us!

Hi Lorraine.

Let me make sure I understand your issue(s).

You purchased this four piece appliance package at Orville's in December of 2015. Instead of 'Galaxy' package, might you be referring instead to Gallery package?

You're having an issue with the ice maker, which is located within the refrigerator. I'm assuming this is a French door model, as all french door, front dispensing ice makers are located within the refrigerator.

Did you purchase any form of additional warranty coverage from Orville's or Frigidaire?

Please note, if everything is already been addressed to your satisfaction, there is no need to reply.

Frigidaire refrigerator

We received our new refrigerator on 3/3 the delivery company was over 3 hours late delivering it, and when it showed up with dents in it. We went out to dinner that night when we came home there was frost in the freezer so we called the company the next morning and they advis d they would send us a new one and that we would receive it on 3/23 as that was there next available day. We get a call the night before the delivery that they will not be coming due to weather. We wait another week and another vacation day today and still no refrigerator.

Frigidaire washer/tub bearing has failed after only 2 yrs. & 3 mos. of use

On 11/28/2015 we bought a Frigidaire stackable washer/dryer at Home Depot. The company would not sell just one unit even though we only needed a washer. The washer has begun to fail after only two years of use. It still works but the noise is so loud that we have to go to the other part of the house when the machine is spinning. The worst part is that the clothes are still wet.
We had Frigidaire appliances for ten years before we had problems and we believe that two years is unacceptable for an appliance to malfunction in such a manner.
We expect a repair or replacement of our machine. Model FFFW5000QW

Hi Deangelo.

Appreciated reading your concerns.

Frigidaire front loading washers and dryers are some of the best within the industry. At one point these units were known as Affinity products, although that brand has now been retired.

Initially these units are sold with a one year limited warranty, however most retailers, along with Frigidaire, offer additional warranty coverage at nominal amounts. Did you elect to purchase this additional coverage when purchasing the units?

Frigidaire 7 month old washer not working

I purchased a stackable washer dryer combo June 2017 from BrandsMart in Deerfield Beach Florida. End on January the unit was not working. Not filling with water/running through cycles. Then filling with water and letting clothes sit in the water and never running through cycles. I called Frigidaire and they set us up with First Class Appliance. The first week this company came out, they switched the hot and cold water line, so we used piping hot water on darks, not even knowing until we had to wring the clothes out because the cycles didn't work and the clothes sat in water... 6 weeks later there is still no resolution. They have replaced the main computer, a main sensor and the locking mechanism. They also found a hole in the bleach line, which caused a stabilizer spring to rust and break. I am being told that multiple attempts must be made before replacing the unit. I have been told they need to come out 1 more time, and replace something else. I must wait a week now for the part to come in and get an appointment set. Why have a warranty? I am being told the rusted out and broken stabilizer spring is not covered in warranty, even though it was cause by the hole in the beach line. I was also told by First Class appliance that the line wouldn't be covered. I was on the phone with customer service yesterday and now I have been on the line for 42 minutes. I am not letting this go. Being without a washer for 7 weeks is NOT ACCEPTABLE! Especially when the unit was over $1000, i purchased an extended 5 year warranty, and the unit was 7 months old when it broke. I spend $20 a week at the laundry mat to do the clothes. Shame on you Frigidaire/Electrolux. If this unit is not fixed next week, I EXPECT THE UNIT TO BE REPLACED WITH A NEW UNIT, not a refurbished one!

Hi Lauren.

Appreciated reaching your concerns.

Frigidaire and Electrolux have some of the best front loading washers and dryers within the industry. They are extremely highly rated.

Let's talk about the way warranty service is provided. Generally all manufacturers require the ability to address an individual problem up tho three (3) times for service; this doesn't mean three separate visits as each service may require multiple visits. If a problem develops differently, then it is addressed though a different series of service visits.

With all of that said, many retailers may cover such issues as well as replacing the unit. Have you spoken to them about it?

Frigidaire frigidaire range model # lgef3045kfk serial # vf43471298

This is a second request. I sent an email on 3/6/18 and I've yet to get any response.

My over is no longer heating up to cooking temperature. It heats to about 230 degrees and stops. I've contacted the company and talked to a representative and they offer to pay half price of any parts that are needed to make the service repair. I'm very disappointed in this offer because the item is only 3.5 years old. This product is still brand new and is no longer functional. I felt insulted by the offer from the service representative and I believe if the company stands by its products one of two thing should happen. Replace the stove with a brand new one or cover the complete cost of repairs. Please respond as soon as possible. You can reach me at [protected]. Thank you.

Frigidaire dishwasher

My wife and I purchased our Frigidaire dishwasher 2/14/17. There was a 1 year manufactures warranty on the item from date of purchase. 10 months later the dishwasher is having issues cleaning dishes. No heat, or water not hot enough. Dishes coming out of the cycle still dirty. Dishes not being dried.

Water comes off of the hot water heater at 120-122 degrees. Use rise aid in the dishwasher every time.

We have now had appliance repair companies come to our house 3 times, and have not fixed ANYTHING on our dishwasher. Parts were ordered, then the next tech that stop out says that the previous person was wrong with their diagnosis, and says they will order.

I have a family of 6, and we are now going on 2+ months without a dishwasher due to the fact that the contracted companies have not fixed anything.

My wife and I extended the warranty, and we want resolution with fixing it or replacing the dishwasher. Calling up Frigidaire has been some of the crappiest customer support from a company to date. They don't take ownership of anything and rely on individual repair companies to fix. This probably would not be an issue, but they do not allow you to leave reviews with Frigidaire on the support you are receiving, so it leads to crappy fly-by-night repair shops being contracted from Frigidaire, and then never producing ANYTHING.

Frigidaire frigidaire side by side refrigerator

I bought the refrigerator in March 2015. It has never been right. In July 2015, started the madness of repairs. It has been a long grueling 3 years of repairs. Almost every part has been replaced on it including 9 ice makers, 3 thermostats and countless other parts. Frigidaire took care of the repairs the first year. Lowes extended warranty has picked up the other repairs. I have had so many repairs, I am on the first name basis with the repairmen at both appliances companies that does warranty work for Lowes. I have lost food so many times, I quit stocking much in my freezer. I've begged Lowes to replace it. They won't because in their estimation it does not meet the "lemon law" criteria because most of the time it is functional. I will never buy another Frigidaire appliance or use Lowes again! Lessons learned.

Frigidaire malfunction of dishwasher

Our Frigidaire dishwasher was purchased July 7, 2016 from DT McCall in Cookeville TN, 38501. The dishwasher unit was built too close to the housing and the unit burned a hole in the housing and water leaked all underneath our wood floors. The kitchen, dining room, and hall way floors are damaged. They are bulked up and sinking down in places and are a danger of injury from falling to the household. We need someone from the manufacture of this dishwasher to come out and check this out as soon as possible.
Thanks,

Frigidaire faulty gas range

On 10/23/17 we purchased a gas range from Lowe's. They delivered it. We had it hooked up then we had to call the gas company for them to inspect it. They came to inspect it and red flagged it because it leaked. The gas company did not charge us for the inspection.
Lowe's came and brought us a new one and took the old one. We had to call and have the inspector come again and this time they charged us $65.00.
Lowe's said they were not responsible so I called Frigidaire and they said they couldn't do anything about it.
I would like that $65.00 refunded please.

Frigidaire frigidaire refrigerator

I purchased a freezer in January 2015, and since that time I have had repairs to the freezer at least six times. When this occurs I have had my freezer fixed countless times in a three-year period, including the compressor three times! I have now just put in a new request for my unit to be repaired because yet again, the compressor is making a huge sounds every single time you get ice from the ice maker or open the refrigerator. I have lost food, lost work time, and am just angry. This is obviously a lemon and should be replaced at Frigidaire's expense.

Frigidaire washer and dryer

Frigidaire was suppose to ship the product to the shipping company which wasn't received. No one at Frigidaire did a courtesy call to say that my washer and dryer wasn't going to be delivered. Lost a whole day from work and all they can say is that someone else should have notified you and that we can reschedule. For another whole day from work. No form of communication to the consumer.

Frigidaire electrolux mobione vacuum cleaner bags

Hello
I purchased an electrolux mobile vacuum cleaner from harvey norman approx 3 weeks or so ago. When I purchased it I asked for a box of bags for the machine. I was advised they were out of stock, and told try again in a few weeks.

I have been to three harvey norman stores as well a a couple of courts stores and all have informed me they were out of stock. Finally today when I went to harvey norman in bukit panjang, after explaining to the girl I had purchased this vacuum cleaner from them and why have they still not got replacement bags. She finally admitted that they don't sell the bags, but they have to be purchased direct from electrolux.. Surely if you are selling the vacuums at the stores, one would expect the bags to be there as well. This is very inconvenient and if I had known this when I purchased the vacuum, I would never have chosen this model! Is it possible to post the bags to me? As I find it very inconvenient to go to your head office.

Frigidaire dishwasher

I bought this Frigidaire Gallery DW in Sept of 2015 after Lowes had graciously allowed me to return the two FG DW's because they both leaked within 30 days after installation with the first return being in June of that year. I upgraded the model of the third DW hoping that the higher price tag would mean better quality. Unfortunately since then I have had to have a technician come out on four different occasions to attempt to fix a random leak in the DW unit. Each time it has leaked water has pooled around my cabinets thus affecting the particle board and the toe kick and cabinet end pieces. At this point I have not seen any damage to my engineered hardwood floors beyond the cabinets, but I am not sure what is happening to them underneath that could potentially compromise the integrity of the cabinets and granite that sit on top of them. I have repeatedly asked for a new machine because I cannot risk this happening again and potentially causing more damage to my cabinets and flooring. There seems to be agreement with replacement on one side of customer service but then opposition on the tech support side of Electrolux. This has required the technician to go out for the fifth time to try to determine where the leak is coming from so as not to cause another failed attempt to fix it when it only makes sense for me as the customer to have it replaced with a machine that might actually work properly this time. I have put Frigidaire Gallery appliances in three of my vacation rental homes, but due to this inferior product and lack of satisfaction with the resolution, I am no longer using them in any of my future properties. I have switched to Whirlpool because I was told by the appliance servicer that they are a superior product and the client doesn't have to jump through hoops when they have purchased a lemon.

Frigidaire gas range

I purchased my Frigidaire/Electrolux gas range in 2011, Model #LPGF3091KSJ, serial #VF12583352. Since then, a number of the grate feet have fallen apart and had to be replaced. This happened not once, but twice. To make matters worse, the price for replacement grate feet is unreasonable. I would expect to pay no more than $5.00 for a bag of 12 grate feet. Instead, I was shocked to find that you charge over $3.25 per grate foot. The issue seems to be a design flaw and I should receive additional grate feet as needed with only a minimal charge for shipping.

I registered my complaint when I ordered replacement grate feet, complaint #[protected].

Hi Shaun. Thank you for your thoughtful response. It seems to me that a single consumer could influence the pricing of particular merchandise in a market. One customer can refuse to buy the merchandise at an inflated price, find it at a lower price someplace else, and tell other customers about the "better deal." Frigidaire/Electrolux sold me several grate feet at the rate of $3.25 apiece. At the time I placed the order, I did not know enough about grate feet, not even that they were called grate feet. I depended on the manufacturer to help me replace these small but necessary items that apparently fall apart or come off the grate over time. Today, I see grate feet advertised on Amazon in packages of 16 for $8.49, which is about $.53 apiece, much better than the $3.25 apiece charge by the manufacturer. As the cost differential is "merely pocket change, " Frigidaire/Electrolux could have earned my goodwill for mere pocket change.

Hi Debbie.

Appreciated reading your concerns. Hopefully I can help.

It would be wonderful as consumers if we were all given the ability to set the pricing we wished for anything we wished to purchase. Can you imagine going through the grocery line and telling the cashier what you are going to pay for any particular merchandise? That would be wonderful! Better yet, how about setting the price on the new vehicle you'd like to own?

To continually produce parts for any particular product, the manufacturer can not place themselves in a position of losing money. That should go without stating. If a manufacturer really wanted to gouge the customer, I'm sure they could do a lot more than price an item for more than $3.25 -- that's merely pocket change.

Hopefully, after taking a moment to reflect on your suggestion, you will come to the conclusion as to the reasonable nature of the part and how ridiculous setting your own price would be.

Frigidaire frigidaire counter depth refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator in May or 2017. By December 2017, I noticed a crack in the inside liner on the right side. There is actually a bulging ridge where the crack is and looks like another crack is forming. Obviously a manufacturing defect! A crack occurring within 7 months of owning the refrigerator! Never would I buy a refrigerator with a crack, so I called Frigidaire to report the problem. I call the repair company they gave me, I told them the problem. He asked me to send pictures, because this is not something he could repair. After a few weeks, he called back to say that Frigidaire wanted him to come out a put a piece of TAPE over the crack...that bring the fix! Seriously?!?! I called Frigidaire to clarify. The spokesperson told me that yes, tape is a fix for a crack, even tho the refrigerator was not even a year old (7 months at that)! I asked what happens after that, what if it cracks more or completely comes apart!?! I was told that if it is within the year warranty they will tape it again, but after the year the problem is mine! What?!?! They are not fixing an obvious problem with this refrigerator and then want to make it my problem after a year. I am in awe over this...how can tape be a fix for a manufacturing defect? Now my refrigerator is junk! I spent a lot of money to purchase a brand new refrigerator and Frigidaire will not even back up their product!

Hi Amy.

Appreciated reading of your concerns. I'd like to be of assistance.

It would help if you wouldn't mind providing a little more information. What retailer did you purchase the fridge through? Am I correct in assuming you've purchased the unit new? Is this fridge being kept in your kitchen or is it in a different part of the house.

Look forward hearing from you. I'm sure we can assist you in getting this resolved.

No question that tape is not the proper solution. To begin with, the tape adhesives will not necessarily hold up with the consistent cold temperatures. There'd be further concern having it around food.

The first issue to address is why the cracks are occurring. Is there any perceivable change in the insulation underneath? If not, the proper solution is to replace that section of panel.

I wouldn't address this through the manufacturer as much as Sears, being the retailer. Although it's still under the first year of warranty, it may be of help if you have purchased additional warranty coverage through them. They can go to bat for you getting either the panel replaced or an R.A. (return authorization) for the entire fridge.

Let's have you start by contacting the Sears location you made the purchase through. Post back as to the results.

Hi Amy.

That's unfortunate. I'd hope Sears would do better. The truth is that Sears is so close to bankruptcy, I don't think their focus is where it should be. And even if it was, Frigidaire may not care to work with Sears because, well, they're not expected to be around much longer. In the process, everyone forgets about what is right and just taking proper care of a customer.

Technically, the crack is cosmetic in nature, not having anything to do with the functioning of the unit. That is why Frigidaire isn't addressing it the way one might hope.

Ultimately, this means that fixing the problem is up to you.

It's not going to be cost effective to replace the interior under your own cost, so I'd scratch that off the list. I don't know what kind of 'tape' they're referring to. If it's nothing more than a white duct tape, the consistent cold temperatures could likely cause the adhesive to fail.

I'd want to seal the crack to better insulate the temperature and, hopefully, stop the crack in continuing. Because you're using the product around food, you want to use a type of resin/adhesive that won't be a concern around items that people consume. This may sound a little different, but you can purchase orthodontic resins that are both inexpensive and will do the job quite nicely. In fact, you might be able to conceal the crack so to make the crack almost disappear. If you're unsure about where to buy it in your area, talk to your dentist. I know it sounds weird, but if applied correctly, I think you'll find it to be a really good solution.

I'd love to hear back from you.

Frigidaire frigidaire model:lfhb2741pfba refrigerator

Purchased 12/15/17. Ice maker wasn't making much ice. Went back to Lowe's within a week. Was told this brand is known for that. 13 months later ice maker completely quit. Called customer service/warranty to be told it was one month past the warranty. This was on the higher price range and being a Frigidaire, expected longer than 13 months for an ice maker to last. Previous one lasted 14 years. Not happy with the Frigidaire brand, and owning rental properties where I have and will need more appliances, do not plan to purchase another.

Is it possible you entered the wrong date of purchase? Can you confirm the date of purchase, please, along with the retailer you purchased the unit through?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Frigidaire over stove microwave (model #ffmv162lwa serial # kg04701823

Since buying my Frigidaire microwave on March 26, 2010, I have had continual difficulty with the front door handle. The handle consistently has cracks occurring around the end attaching at the bottom of the door. The handle was replaced for the first time on June 6, 2011. Since then I have had to replace the handle twice more.

I wrote (by snail mail) the CEO of Frigidaire on May 8, 2014 concerning this recurring issue.

At present the microwave handle has long cracks extending across the front of the microwave. On one of the occasions when I called, I was told that this was not a dangerous issue. However, I have noticed that the door jiggles noticeably up and down and appears to be loose.

I have bought another microwave and made sure that it was not Frigidaire and did not have handle.
