Our Frigidaire dishwasher model PLD3460RDC1 (that was purchased new in November, 2005) has broken again for the 4TH TIME! I contacted the customer service center this morning and am thoroughly disgusted at the service I received. THREE different repair companies have replaced the computer and control pad in this dishwasher. Frigidaire refuses to accept that this appliance is a LEMON and wants a service person to come into my home AGAIN to "diagnose the problem." (Although the SAME PROBLEM has occurred.

THREE times prior to THIS and the SAME PARTS were needed EACH TIME to make the repairs). Frigidaire also refuses to send any parts ahead of time so that they can be here waiting when the service person arrives. The last time the dishwasher needed to be repaired it took over a month. (A service call was placed on 10/9 and the dishwasher was TEMPORARILY repaired on 11/7). The customer service rep that I spoke to today also mentioned that I might want to purchase an extended service agreement after the dishwasher is repaired THIS time! Is she kidding? The customer service rep also refused to provide me with a mailing address to send a letter of complaint. She stated that I needed to go to the Frigidaire website. What is customers don't have e-mail? She again REFUSED to provide a mailing address. I cannot believe that Frigidaire has adopted this type of customer service and REFUSES to replace a dishwasher after FOUR failures with the SAME PARTS! The dishwasher clearly has manufacturing defects! I will NEVER purchase another Frigidaire appliance nor will I EVER recommend them to any friend or family member. Frigidaire's motto is that their appliances are "Built for Generations." They might want to rethink that!

The Frigidaire model FGHD2465 keeps repeating the wash cycle - drains and refills over and over again no matter what cycle is chosen

I am going to get on here and complain about how the new "Professional Series" dishwasher does anything but clean dishes/flatware. This is just a joke on how badly it cleans--a 93 minute cycle and it seems as though this machine is years' old (2 mos ownership). My eight-year-old, rusting prongs Sears did a better job than this piece of work. I have written two complaints and met with nothing but a thank you for writing and they'll be turning this over to their design department! In reading several of the comments made, I have come to the conclusion that Frigidaire (Electrolux) is not interested in any kind of customer service, but instead tries to woo the customer with what they think is customer empathy, but it comes off as just too bad and better luck next time. There is definitely not going to be another next time for any Frigidaire appliance for me. I might add that I have a Frididaire gas range with burners that are quite erratic and don't always come on, plus the grates have bubbled as if they're not capable of high heat? What's with this company?

We too purchased this model in april 2005 and by september of that year the circuit board and control pad needed to be replaced. It worked for two years with limited fuctions and we eventually had to have the circuit board replaced once more this summer. Worked for another 4 months and it is now not working again. Another service call and we're told another control pad and circuit board are required. I am very dissapointed in this product and it has not met our expectation in terms of lifespan.

WOW! I am with you on the dishwasher! What a disaster!

Been down the same road with the control panel that has mulitple personalities! Somedays it will work, the next day it will remain stuckl in one particular wash cycle and WILL NOT allow you to select a different cycle or even cancel the cycle! Our board has been replaced 3 times by our home warranty company for a $60 fee each time they come out post 30 days---of course, the dishwahser is fine for 30 days and day 31 I have to call it in to be rapired, wait for an answer, schedule the appointment, and have it "fixed" again. The warranty company claims if it is reapirable, it is not replaceable!

I never heard the water part of that before so that was interesting to learn that the moisture from the dishwasher creates the problem with the digital computer board.
I am DONE with this dishwasher! Wont repeat on it! Buying an AMANA---great rep, great warranties, prices! And canceling our home warranty contract. ;0) Ahhh, relief!

I would like to update my posting about my dishwasher and microwave. As a result of my posted complaint I was contacted by Chris Polk from Electrolux and Electrolux sent out a repair technician in an amazing 24 hours! The motor was bad and something to do with the water level was faulty. Chris gave me a choice, electrolux would repair my dishwasher free of charge or give me 70% off a new dishwasher. We chose a new one because I felt that this could happen again with the particular model we had. The new dishwasher is unbelievably quiet. As for my microwave after arguing with Lowes warranty service for 3 weeks they finally gave us our money back. I will not recomend Lowes they are a big hassel. Electrolux and Chris Polk on the other hand were wonderful, and polite.
Thankyou Chris and Electrolux for standing behind your Frigidaire line when most companies could have cared less!
Thankyou Complaintsboard.com for helping this issue get noticed and resolved!

Okay, well lets start with our dishwasher. First it is so loud that we can hear it outside with all the doors and windows closed. We have had a repair tech out who said this is a common problem but that even though we bought the Quiet pro model it is suppose to be this loud! ridiculous! The washer arm fell of mid cycle easy fix but it still cost 30.00 to replace a part that barely lasted a year.

Next we spent 1500.00 on a range that lasted only 13 months, conveinantly, 2 of the burners stopped working after the 12 month warranty ended. Thank God we bought the extended plan even with that it took Lowes 4 months to fix the problem because the pieces that needed to be removed to fix the original problem were so cheaply made that they broke when the repairman was removing them.

Finally, our Microwave, blue flame shot out of the control unit and when the repair man came to fix it he found 2 other manufacture defects 2 failed spot welds on the door hinge a a sheared off screw in the vent.

This is so frustrating we spent thousands of dollars on new appliances and my old ones worked better!

I guess this is what I get for wanting a new kitchen with more modern appliances! So I say to any one who reads this First don't buy Frigidaire and second Don't buy your appliances from Lowes they don't stand behind what they sell! We are currently arguing with them about the microwave they say its not covered under the four year extended warranty we purchased, go figure? What exactly does it cover?

We have had a very similar experience with the same dishwasher. We too have had to have the dishwasher repaired 4 times and this week we will have our 5th repair within a 10-month period. It appears as though the control panel goes bad when it comes in contact with moisture. We were informed that eventually we should get a part that has been improved to correct for this problem but, so far, no such luck. Each time we need a repair, we go through the same period of 3-4 weeks during which the dishwasher is not usable and then a very brief period during which the dishwasher works (that is until it gets wet). It seems as though we are stuck in a terrible cycle. We were told by a Frigidaire representative that Frigidaire will not replace the unit unless the repair technician determines that the dishwasher is deemed to be not repairable. The problem with this approach is that there is an obvious conflict of interest. The repair technician is being compensated for each visit, so what incentive does the repair technician have to deem the dishwasher not repairable? Doing so would only cause the repair technician to lose business. This sequence of events is all very surprising to us because we were under the impression that Frigidaire was attempting to make improvements in both product quality and customer service. Hopefully the 5th repair will be a charm...

I will never purchase anything else from Frigidaire. My husband purchased me a front load washer and dryer in feb.2007 less than three months later the dryer caught on fire. They refused to replace it one of the managers even had the nerve to tell me I put the drier on fire. The staff was very rude and I will never purchase anything else...
