Okay, where to begin? I've read so many complaints about Frigidaire appliances that I'm shocked! Right now, I'm preparing some paper work to sue Frigidaire in small-claims court over the vents on my 4000 Series AquaSurge Dishwasher. The dishwasher is designed to vent out of the sides which in turn has caused my cabinet sides to warp, and my white cabinet doors and drawers (which are all new by the way) to crack and peel, AND my counter top to warp. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a new Frigidaire dishwasher that was just installed a couple of weeks ago. Due to a leak in the seal unknown substances started leaking INTO the dishwasher. I discovered this because the unit was literally vacuuming in a gel like substance I was working with next to the dishwasher. Frigidaires own serviceman deemed it a manufacturing defect. However after endless phone calls, rude support, people in their company making up bizarre stories of what must have occurred and a even one of their servicemen demanding money from me: I have finally filed in small claims. Totally ridiculous and I can safely say the worst 600 dollars I've spent! Do not buy from them. They are a shady corporation that will try to drive you around the bend rather that sell a working good product. Very unfortunate!

Has anyone here contacted this Chris Polk from Electrolux? If so what was the outcome? How did he resolve your problem?

I have Model FDB4315LFB3. About 2 weeks ago, the top control panel started to act weird. I pushed normal wash, and it wouldn't light up. So I pushed speed clean, and that worked. The next time I tried to push normal wash, it again did not work. I tried the speed clean button, and that didn't work either. Trying anything, I pushed buttons until something lit up. That was eco wash and air dry. That is what we are stuck on now. If I try to push other buttons, the dishwasher will start to run and then stop. I cannot cancel anything. I contacted Frigidaire tech support, but still haven't heard back from them. What am I supposed to do?

We have the 4000 series AquaSurge with Speed Clean (dishwasher). We have owned it just over a year and it has recently started leaking from the bottom (center area near pump). Our Frigidaire stand alone freezer died recently as well (after a short life of 14 months). Same type of info and complaints with the freezer. Expensive lessons learned.

Frigidaire sucks. I hope they are stoned with bad reviews and experience a slow and painful financial death.

Yes, same problem.
I don't know what the designer from Frigidaire was thinking when he "created" this dishwasher. Vents on the side of the doors.

I just got it (2 weeks ago) and I am planning to get rid of it before my cabinets and countertop are going to be garbage.

Mr. Frigidaire ... is it any "fix" for this problem?

I originally purchased the 4000 series aquasurge in Oct 06. By summer of 07 it started having error code vo/uo and would start and stop either before it started washing or about 10 minutes later. The repairman replaced the control panel the first time, then put a rubber gasket around the thing to pull it out from under the cabinets some the next time, then replace the panel the next time! Finally Frigidaire replaced it with same model which broke down with same problems by the next summer! It was replaced again by Frigidaire since it was less than a year old and I have had this one repaired at least 3 times already.

I called Frigidaire Monday and said I want a replacement, but NOT THIS MODEL, but they won't replace until the repairman says it's not "cost efficient" to keep repairing it!

Oh, I've also had the various repairmen tell me it keeps breaking because:
A. It's too far under the cabinets (apparently this was wrong cause the gasket thing didn't work)
B. I wasn't keeping the rinse agent full (which I started doing and that didn't work) and finally,
C. My hot water is too HOT for the dishwasher and makes too much steam!

GIVE ME A BREAK! I will NEVER purchase a Frigidaire item AGAIN! Oh, did I mention, I have a Frigidaire stove and fridge and have had problems with them too?

One more thing. I am tired of calling customer service and getting foreigners who sort of speak English but have no clue about how American customer service should work!

My 4000 series Frigidaire dishwasher leaks at the door at the completion of the wash. It leaves a small puddle of water on my hardwood floor. There is a large amount of stream that also leaks out when the dish washer is running. The dishwasher is just past warranty and the store I bought it from is no help. KAMS Appliance in Hanover MA. All they would do is send out a tech and then bill me later. What a piece of *%#@. Last Frigidaire product I will ever buy.

No, but my user interface went out after only 16 months, naturally after the general warranty expired. I'm not convinced the venting didn't short out the part somehow. The door has vents on the sides for keeping the electronic components cool. My theory is that steam somehow entered those vents and shorted the part out. The repair man claims it was impossible, but anytime you expose a way for moisture to reach the electronic components, you're probably going to have problems. In fact, if we used it as much as a normal family (we only wash a load 1 to 2 times a week, it probably would've shorted out within the warranty period. Btw, the new interface was about $113, and the labor to fix it was $117. Nice that I paid $600, and then paid another $230 1.5 years later. However, I will say that I'll never hire that out again if the same problem occurs, because the interface is as simple as unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one...it's a joke that I paid that much to fix it...I'm in the wrong field, I guess.
