Stay away from Freigthquote.com...they will lie, charge your Credit Card month later for "extra charges", charge your Credit Card in error, take up to 3 weeks to issue a refund.
Dealt with them for painful 6 months, 90% of transactions I had to call customer service to get something fixed.
They like to blame the trucking companies but they are the ones taking the money in the middle.
Major and usual lies to try take more money from you.
- The given shipping address was not a commercial address
- The trucking Co re weighted the freight and new charges will apply
- Business was close upon delivery, re-delivery charges will apply
NEVER GIVE CC INFO FOR FREIGHTQUOTE.COM./...STAY AWAY FROM THEM !
BTW, all above also applies to FREIGTHCENTER.COM...just another ### Co.
Freightcenter.com is bad as well
Beware, Freightquote.com is a total scamming dishonest company! They add on additional fees that were never discussed or agreed on. Then they charge you obscene penalties for not paying them. The reviews here are right. I wish I'd done some research before using them.

once they have a hold of your credit card info, you will become their victim! they overcharged my credit card $520 for a shipment that was quoted for $362. they claiimed the cubic measurements had increased, when the freight bill clearly showed the original weight and cube. i was not able to get the over charge removed!
You will be sorry if you use their service. They over-charged my credit card for an additinal $520.00 claiming the cubic measurements have increased even though the freight bill showed the exact weight and cube they originally quoted $362.00. After 7 months of going back and forth with American Express with 24 pages of supporting documents i could not get the over charges removed. Stay far away from these 2 companies!
All of you--Stop blaming brokers for the CARRIERS adjustments! The brokers never see or touch your freight, so they DO NOT cause any extra charges. But they DO have to pay the carriers for the adjustments, and of course have to then charge you. You have to say you want to dispute adjustments, then the broker will help to fight the carrier for you, or you can do that directly with the carrier yourself.
They employed similar tactics with our shipment and overcharged our credit card for an additional $520. i simply couldn't understand how they could possibly get an A+ rating with BBB. All of us who had been victimized by their dishonest practice should file a complaint to BBB to lower their rating and forewarn others.
AGREE! Stay away from them. They should call themselves "freightestimate".com. I asked them 3 times and they guided me to the correct class. They told me after a detailed description my class was 250. I called Estes Carrier to verify and they told me 250. I was very careful on weight and dimensions. After the item was delivered, I got a added charge changing the class to 300 and also adding more fuel surcharge $17.77. I ALREADY paid $98.57 in fuel surcharges for shipping a 125 lb 60X57X26 crated item. Then they said my "claim" would take 30 days blaming the carrier (Estes). The bank told me they say that because after 30 days, I can't dispute the charges. Activated dispute! NASTY PEOPLE!
