I'd like to start off by saying it takes A LOT for me to write a bad review. However, Freedom Couture wigs is a complete and utter waste of money and out right scam. Take your money and run. First of all, I am Caucasian and I've been wearing hair extensions for 12yrs. I know my stuff ladies. In the last year I came across Freedom Couture Instagram account and was floored by how beautiful these wigs were. On her Instagram photos you cant tell they're wigs. So for my 30th birthday I begged my husband to by me one. I was really excited to get it but was sadly disappointed when I opened the box. I ordered the ice diamond and it did NOT look like the picture. The blonde was a dingy yellow and the roots were a redish undertone that was a lot darker than it looked in pictures. I was beside myself that I was doped because again, 12yrs of fake hair experience. I wear fake hair everyday, how could this have happened? I went back to the scene of the crime...INSTAGRAM! I then realized the pictures are FILTERED! WTF! She puts a filter on the images and videos so they look flawless. She also sends free wigs to Instagram models who know how to take a picture in certain ways that give flawed illusions. She sells these wigs on optical illusion and filters. I can now tell what color the wigs really are. Eg. the platinum wigs are a dull white with a grey tint to it. The ice diamond is straight up yellow blonde -that doesn't look good on most people. Her colors are a shade or two off sometimes more and you cant correct it. She has some coating on the wig that prevents you from lifting the blonde to a more realistic non yellow blonde.

Please listen to what everyone on here on yelp and other sites about what is been said about this company before you purchase a wig from Freedom Couture. It's not worth $2000+

Yes, I agree, She has a coating on them which you cannot brighten the blond nor can you use Redken Glossing EQ shades to go darker. I'm so pissed off at this woman for doing this. Usually,

you can darken the human-haired unit but not hers. I'm gonna try to do a bleach wash to remove the coating on the hair to be able to darken it.

Thank you Tanya, I read your review a couple of months ago and decided to try the mora mode wigs. I've purchased freedom couture wigs in the past and have not been at all satisfied with the quality of the hair. I have to disagree with you, I think the mora mode wigs are much nicer quality and the illusion on the wig is amazing. I haven't been disappointed yet because what you see on their social media is what you get and i've washed the hair numerous of times the lustre is still there. My only issue is they are getting discovered and the wait for a customised wig is longer but right now I have not found another wig shop that compares so I guess i'm have get use to the wait times.

My point from my first comment was that Moramode can do a custom wig if you show them the photos of the wig you want but be careful what you show them. At the time when I showed them a Freedom Couture wig. I just hid the name of the wig shop as I think they felt awkward about copying other wigs from other shops. They said they make their own styles because of colour matching and I would need to give them the colour numbers for them to make the wig. Anyway they did make the wig for me and did a very good job, I was happy and wished I never had that odd moment with them as the quality of their wigs are lovely and has lasted me a while.

I learnt the hard way too. It's ok if you spend £200 - £500 and it turns out to be a bad wig BUT for £2000, I would expect the wig to be absolutely perfect with no flaws! There are a few good wigs out there and good wig shops but then they are hard to find if you don't know what your looking for.

I love the Freedom Couture wigs. Her wigs are lovely but $2000 is a very high expectation when you can get just the same wigs at a fraction of the price - there are so many others like Mora Mode, Good Hair that do really good affordable wigs.

Best thing is to buy Freedom Couture wigs when they are on sale.
