The advertisments made for all of the Freederm Skincare products are very mis-leading. The product does work for me and most other people that i know, but on their adverts they use teenagers that don't actually have any spots, it shows you the, putting it on and then afterwards but there is no difference because they have no spots. The advert should be show a teenager or young adult with a few spots or a face covered in spots, then it should show them using the product everyday until the spots have gone or reduced. That way the consumer would know that it works.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I completely agree with you, the adverts are misleading and I'm sure that those adverts have an effect on the link between depression and acne. Someone needs to try and stop these adverts as they are misleading. I understand no one wants to see acne covered teenagers on TV but the teenagers they have look like they've never had one spot in the whole entire life. I am currently trying to start a campaign to get these adverts changed or banned because I think it's appalling. If you'd be interested in helping me with this, please let me know
the reason why it is showing people without spots is to show that if you use this product on a regualar basis you will have spot prone skin and you will prevent spots, it would be too unappealing if just put a load of teenagers with spots on an advert, it would get taken of the tv
its a matter of if you use the cream when you have mild spots they will go away and if you use the cleansing wipes regularly there will be no dirt to create spots
