Our verdict: With Google's very poor resolution rate, careful consideration is needed. Research their service comprehensively, and read up on how they handle customer disputes. Google cd scam

You people who are complaining about getting charged $72 or so after paying only $1-2 for the Google CD...you clicked on that ad didn't you? The one where that woman is holding up a check, saying that she lives in your area? You were promised to make thousands of dollars a month for little work, or something like "$173 an hour"? This is a scam, but not a scam by Google. If you read the fine print at the bottom, it says you are AGREEING to sign up for additional services that will cost money once your "trial" period is done. If you do not cancel by that time, money will be taken out of your account. Don't fall for scams like these. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

you have the saddest self righteous attitude I have seen in a long time, and I received your private email in which you basically called me dumb, and unaware of the most basic scams around, . but, yet I have not received a response from you regarding all the questions surrounding your assumptions about what you thought I did and did not due, regarding the acai scams. you are a know it all who doesn't know anything, and I bet unlike people who have been scammed and they are aware they are scammed, you get scammed everyday and are unaware that you are. obviously someone scammed you, in making you believe you know everything, and you are the most intelligent person about everyone on this board, your funny!

Of course it is not by Google. However, you are wrong about everything else. See, these ads come in many forms as I have seen since my experience with this. They use many tricks to lie. They advertise on a news site, say CNN, and then they say, "As seen on CNN" as though a news item has been produced about them.

What I was promised was a CD of information. Period. I never got that. Furthermore, the normal and ubiquitous technique of selling with a catch that you must cancel gives you something like 30 days to cancel and there's a phone number to call as well. This one doesn't tell you until after you pay that it's 7 days and in writing only. In effect that allows NO trial period, as you would have to mail it basically the same day you signed up in order for them to get the mail by 7 days. They say there is a number to call for any problems, so you infer that you can call that to cancel the service, but since they have one company collecting the money and another supplying the "service" (if any) that latter number has nothing to do with subscriptions and payments. In short, they use multiple lies to ensure they get to charge people once for substantially more than $2 or $3. If I ignored every come-on that had unbelievable claims, I'd be eating plain oatmeal for the rest of my life as many food products even claim stuff that's too good to be true. That is the nature of advertising. Starts with lies.

Google google riches scam... phone number that may help

I am not sure if this will help anyone, but I found a phone number to call and was able to speak with someone who promised me that my memberships to these programs will be cancelled and the charges will be refunded. The number is [protected]. He then provided me with another number for a program that he said was Network Agenda which someone I automatically became a member to when signing up to receive the disks for a few dollars to check into this. Will still cancel my bank acct and open a new one, but now I have to wait to see if the charges are reimbursed. I had to call one other time for a different program and cancelled and was reimbursed immediately.

THIS IS A SCAM! I didn't read the fine print, but anything like these charges shouldnt be in the fine print! I hope this helps anyone having this same problem. Hopefully then you can move onto better things than making these ridiculous phone calls and worrying about what you are going to be charged for next from a company that you have never even heard of.

Google fraud/scam

This is a scam! Beware! Customer support numbers for refunds below:

Simple find dollar and e-tax (Saint george ut) are affiliates of google revolution. This and google's other affiliates made a number of unauthorized charges to my credit card. Even though the account that originiated with google revolution was cancelled immediately, I still incurred authorized charges and had to call each affiliate individually to cancel and have the amounts credited to credit card. Check your credit/bank account statements carefully! Charges ranged from.06 cents to $73.83

Here is the list of google revolution affiliates and their customer support numbers:

Google revolution: [protected]
E-tax: [protected]
Simple find dollar: [protected]
Product resource network: [protected]
Click sell go: [protected]
Submit solution: [protected] ([protected]@submitsolution.com)

I found most support representatives at the above numbers to be robotic in their responses and rude. While I was able to get most charges reversed, there were some amounts that I was unsuccessful in regaining. I suggest asking for a cancellation transaction id number as a tracking reference to validate the credit to your account.

I had enrolled in the Goobiz and given the ok for transaction of $ 5. Then I saw that I was being charged $ 39.95 by Submit Solution. I have never even heard of this company nor did I ask for being enrolled to it. I never received an email for the same. I have been ripped off twice in the month of August . I tried calling them but no one picks up the phone. Google should do something about it too. As this was possible when I joined Goobiz. I trusted Google and was ripped off . Even Google is to be held responsible.

Google harassing phone calls

I was sent an email from this company and it looked interesting so I clicked for more information.
I did not enter any personal info like my name-addressess or phone numbers. For the past month I have been getting phone calls from them on my cell phone. It starts as a recording and if you hold on long enough a person will eventually come on the line. I have asked them each time to remove my phone number from their data base. They say they will and yet I keep getting the annoying calls.
I have already reported them to the "Do Not Call Registry.

In the first paragraph of "Terms of Service" it states: 3)it is necessary to enforce or apply the terms and conditions of our Terms of Service and/or other applicable agreements". Those 'other applicable agreements' is exactly where they get you.
They do not list the 'other applicable agreements' therefore you are basically at their mercy. They can charge you whatever they feel is appropriate for any service (or no service) they may provide.
Unfortunately, you did not call them BEFORE you entered your credit card info. If you had you could have requested a copy of the Terms of Service in writing. Sometimes scammers won't send that information to you because you can identify the fraud.
However, there should be a way to get your # off of their calling list. Try calling the Better Business Bureau in your area and ask for the 800# No Call List to add your number. If you are called by these people after your number is added you can threaten them with legal action if they continue to call.

another name they go by is moneysearchtoday.com, at least that's who billed me the $73.83 usd.

one of the many scam outfits google revolution shared my visa info with was social tool kit, who outright refuses to refund my money. after writing a lengthy explanation to my visa provider, they finally agreed to initiate a charge back. apparently the process takes several weeks to complete.

interestingly, if you look at the privacy policies of google revolution and moneyseachtoday, they are exactly identical. and i'm sure there are several other online companies with the exact same policy.

their privacy policy clearly states the following:

Protecting personally identifiable information about our partners and clients is an essential cornerstone of our business. We share and disclose such information only as described below. 1) when we need to share your information with third parties, such as banks and credit card processors, to provide the product or service you have requested; 2) it is appropriate to comply with law; 3) it is necessary to enforce or apply the terms and conditions of our Terms of Service and/or other applicable agreements; or 4) it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, or others, which may include the exchange of information with other organizations for fraud protection and/or risk reduction. In the event that our company is acquired, customer account information may be one of the transferred assets.

moreover, moneysearchtoday's terms and conditions state this:

Certain products or Services may be offered for sale on the Sites. In the event you wish to purchase or to subscribe for any of these products or Services, you will be asked by Money Search Today to supply certain information, including without limitation, your full name, address, telephone number and credit card information. You agree to provide Money Search Today with the foregoing information as well as any other mandatory information that is accurate, complete and current, and to comply with the terms and conditions of any agreement that you may enter into governing your purchases. You shall be responsible for all charges incurred through your account as well as for paying any applicable taxes.
If you open a subscription account on any of the Sites, you hereby agree to pay all charges to your account, including any applicable taxes, in accordance with billing terms in effect at the time the fee or charge becomes payable. Money Search Today reserves the right to change the amount of, or basis for determining, any fees or charges, and to institute new fees, charges or terms effective upon notice to Members.

obviously, one does not have to open any other subscriptions; these ###ers gladly do it for you, without your consent or knowledge.

googlerevolution's terms and conditions fail to even address any future purchases/subscriptions, however they willing breach their own privacy policy by passing on your banking information to these other scam artists.

btw, i, too have received many phone calls, some late into the evening, even though i requested my # be removed from their calling list. how does one report this to the no call registry, when their # comes up blocked?

Google unauthorized charges made to my debit card!

I fell for the "google" trademark and advertisement "likeness". after authorizing the $1.97 initial charge for a cd-rom on how to make money at home, the small print caught my eye. since I authorized the initial purchase of $1.97, it signed me up for free trial's to several different companies; etax, a1member, grant springs, dr grant masters. when my bank finally notified me that I was overdrawn in my checking account it was too late!
Huntington bank must be in on these scams also! the bank refused to refund over $150.00 in late fee's and non_sufficient_funds charges! I was treated like an idiot by the people at grant springs, they refunded 1 charge of 24.87 but refused to refund the 2nd charge of $24.87 plus a forgein transaction fee of $.75. they charged my account under 2 different entities, have at least 5 different phone numbers for the same place. I am still trying to recover money from my bank. I live on a fixed income that is a direct deposit to the bank so, I had no choice. the bank took the funds even though this was clearly a scam!

A couple of months ago I order what appeared to be a Google Start Up Kit (work from home) for $2.95. Within one week they had charged my c.c. $78.00. When called to complain--got a person who spoke 2 words of English--put me on hold for 45 minutes (my phone has a timer)--finally said the supervisor was unable to speak to me but would call back. yeah right! Figured that money was gone. But over the next 2 months I also had charges to companies called ClickSellGo (never heard of them), and Webstores--to the tune of over $130.00. What did I get for these charges? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I also never recieved any type of Start up Kit from Google or anyone else for that matter. These charges are in "dispute" through my bank where the credit card was issued. When I called these companies I was given the run around and told to visit their website.

www.secure2.proftitcenterlearning.com

When you go there it is merely a link to other work at home sites. There is no accountability, no real person, and NO PRODUCT!

I'm surprised that Google continues to allow this scam to continue---especially since they're using the Google name to rack up $$$. Theft is the true word here. I had to cancel my credit card to avoid other companies from doing the same thing. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST--THEY'RE NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS.

The Google Start Up Kit is claimed to be the way you can make money, when it actually isn't backed by Google at all. Google's program, for people to place links on their site, is AdSense and details can be found within Googles sites. Ms. Murphy is based over in Spain and has an array of testimonials. These testimonials, when read closely, appear more like hired guns who provide positive feedback for her product. Attempts to open the pictures that show checks people receive only re-direct me to the site:
http://www.safetrialoffers.com/googlefortune/ld5/?affID=116&subaffID=1
A small picture of this site is attached. The site asks you to provide personal information to request the get-rich quick kit.
The site promoting this scam was established in late September, 2009. Someone in Spain needs to file a complaint against her and shut her down, along with others promoting this.
Again, research on Google's site directly - about Adsense - to learn how you can legitimately earn $$$. Don't get ripped off!

Google charges without authorization

Agreed to purchase for $1.97. No indication of further charges without my authorization. Had to call my bank to understand from whom the charge originated. When called number associated with merchant; no response. Finally, was able to cancel after two charges of $47.50 (as a monthly charge) and one-time charge of $99.00 for the product.
Called number on product...no results.
Called one number on website...no results.
Called number under billing questions...was told I had agreed in the terms and conditions of the initial purchase; however, could not direct me to the terms and conditions statement that I had signed. Initial monthly charge made within 14 days; one-time charge made within 30 days; second monthly charge on same cycle as initial monthly charge (30 days later).
I cannot find the terms and conditions on the website.
I am disputing with my bank.

I just have to say that you people must by really dumb! Who in their right mind thinks anything is FREE in this world. Ya, its $1.97 for shipping and handling. Did you not see the word TRIAL? Terms and Conditions are clearly listed in the website. If YOU don't read them before YOU put in YOUR credit card number, YOU are the only one YOU can be mad at when your money is missing. I did sign up before checking for further information, I was immediately charged the 1.97 but nothing else, yet.
I then checked for backup information, Good or Bad, all that was out there was bad.
I called the bank immediately, cancelled my card all I was out was 1.97 The person at the bank said I could dispute the 1.97, but it was probably the least costly lesson, but most teaching lesson I have ever learned.
Maybe I will see the package, maybe not. But that is all they are getting from me. I will let you know what comes in the mail, Good or Bad.

I unfortunately didn't cancel within a day. I did not get the CD for 2 weeks, so I did not know UNTIL I was billed $81.32. After telling them I wanted to cancel ( Them being Gary "Customer Support Representative") he refunded $49.85 saying that was the best he could do. He said that would keep my account open until 8-6-2009, so I needed to make this work otherwise my account would cancel out. It didn't.

Today 8-7-2009 I saw they charged me $49.85... again!. I called up again, now they tell me, I was supposed to cancel by the 6th. I told them No, I wanted it canceled last month. I asked if they recorded the calls " Yes sir we do" I told them to check the recording. I did not want this to go on. 55seconds later he (Some Supervisor) said I checked the tape and talked with Gary. HOW DO YOU CHECK THE TAPE OF A 10 MINUTE CONVERSATION IN 55 SECONDS?!?!?!? And how do you talk to the other rep. in that time?

Long story short. They cancelled my account and kept my money. THIEVES! I just got done filling out a complaint to the Better Business Bureau @ bbb.org and the Federal Trade Commision @ ftc.gov

With the state our contry is in now, financially, the last thing we need is more American companies lying and stealing from us. Why are there no more honorable companies out there?

The terms are acutally on the page where you give your credit card info. I was looking into this product myself as well as Google to Riches and thought what the heck I could order both for less than a $6.00 investment, if it didn't turn out oh well it was only $6.00. I was all set to give them my card info when I accidentally scrolled to the bottom of the page, where I notice the smallest print I had ever seen, it's even made to blend into the screen back ground to where you hardly notice it. but it states

" I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy / Terms and Conditions. By submitting this form, I am ordering the Google Profit™ CD trial for $1.97 shipping and handling, after the 30 day trial I will be charged $99 for the program. I also agree to the 14 day trial to Google Profit Resource membership for 47.50 per month there after should i choose do not cancel. Charges will appear on credit/debit statements as "GoogCD866-995-9812".
For questions, call [protected] M-F, 6am-7pm, PST. "

Luckily I did not order, the one for Google to Riches was just as bad... Lots of hidden charges... I looked on-line to see what people were saying and a large # of people have had to have their cards cancelled to stop the charges. I also found these two numbers, hope they help...

How do you cancel?

For Google To Riches, the number is [protected]

For Google Profits, the number is [protected]

Google unauthorized charges

I went online to order a CD to get started with google posting ads. They were supposed to send me a CD to get me started and then give me a call to go over the rest. I never received the CD, but started getting deductions on my debit card account from Blazingwords.com in the amount of $72.21, and another company out of the county for $39.53 and I have another one pending now for $36.77. I have to close that one and open a new account because of this. However, the bank can take legal action from these companies if they do not refund you. I have got my refunds on the first two and am waiting on the third one. The phone numbers that are associated with the companies are incorrect, so you cannot contact them and the support emails keep coming back to me as delayed and finally come back as undeliverable.

Google invalid click/robot scam

Problems with customer service: filled out a app;ication form for google fast cash online, but did not hit submit icon, instead I read over terms and agreements and learned of the excess charge. I went back to page with app and erased billing info and all. Closed down page by clicking on the x. Two weeks later I learned I was billed double on the day and a week later charged double again for total of $164.62.
I was billed under a different name: internet profit gene. I called only to learn that customer service was down for the day. Suspicion set in. I stopped credit card at my bank but soon after another charge came through. Customer service today stated they couldn't tell me what program they were with, I was put on hold secretly-like. Bobby Huebert told me that I submitted the app' and I disagreed.I remembered exactly what I did. Bobby Huebert said there was no mistake. I said I didn't get any email cause I didn't submit the app and got charged double. I never knew what I was supposed to have gotten. I feel cheated and angry. I called back to talk with Bobby Huebert and service rep said I called the wrong number, there was no one there by that name. So I checked the number and dialed the same number again. Then I talked to another person who knew of Bobby but would not connect me with him. This guy was being coached by someone whispering questions and giving answers that were again telling me basically that I was wrong and I should have called to cancel something I thought I had erased by backspacing my info off the application. I got no response from Google stating I had purchased anything. I feel this is a scam. I want my full refund back. I did not accept terms/agreements. I feel there was a robot taking my info. The click was invalid but the robot took my info anyway and charged me. Whatever happened to customer satisfaction? The customer is always right. I didn't use any service and received nothing other than Internet Profit Gene double charging my account on two separate occasions. I was hung up on by the last representative. My bank said they learned that the site www.cashsecretclub.com was also affiliated with this Internet Profit Gene and it all comes back to Google. I want satisfaction Google agents.

I payed for postage and handeling for informative brochure to provide insight on the product, but what occured was plain nasty. The same web page not only deducted the 3.00 for S/H, but went and deducted payment from my daughters child support card $ 84.50 I phoned the company and informed me that by clicking onto certain areas of the webpage you automatically accept the terms and conditions which make you responsible for their services. What a crock - I am so furious that Goole would do this to people - I thought they were the bomb before this. Tell all your friends about this scam please, so that they will not fall prey and lose child support money.

If you read the terms of service on their mother site (profitstudiolearning.com) you'll see that they are in no way affiliated with Google. It's sad that people like this can get away with throwing around reputable company names in order to scam people. People with common sense would actually investigate the legitimacy or companies before throwing credit card numbers all over the internet. You wanna know how those people are making thousands of dollars a month - by gullable people giving them their hard earned cash..yeah if 1, 000 people pay 80 some dollars, then yeah they are making good money.

That was when I had to enter financial information. I figured google, it had to be legit, and at a $1.88 or $1.87, I was looking for a way to earn extra money. My credit card...

Google fraudulent advertiseing

This scam is circulating under several different names but they ALL trace back to the same company, blazingkeywords.com ! They all contain a reference to Google in some form or another and usually report the individuals as living close to your location having made a bunch of money with this program/method. I'd suggest all report them to here, the "Internet Crime Complaint Center" as I did. The address is as follows>>> http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx http://daily-job-news.com/?t202id=8842&t202kw=premium-image

I authorized $1.87 for their kit, on 6-15-09, still hasn't arrived. Multiple phone conversations soliciting more money. On 6-19-09, $75.30 was deducted from my account without authorization. The discovery was made with the aid of on-line banking. I requested that the $75.30 and the $1.87 be returned to my account, only to be reassured that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Rachel refered me to goolerevolution.com. . the phone number [protected] has been playing music to me for over 24 minutes. I felt the need to cancel the card that was used for the $1.87 transaction to prevent further deductions. The date today is 6-22-09.

I can not sign in, I paid for Google membership, then when I tried to go into the 3 business websites that has a free trial, it wouldn't let me go into any of them. I tried phoning in US to cancel, but was held on the line, as I'm phoning from UK couldn't hang on for too long. I spoke to my bank, they said they couldn't cancel payments, I would have to get company to cancel, so as I can't get in touch with them, they will be free to take money out of my account. I sign up for this home internet business from an advert on Facebook.

THIS IS A HORRIBLE SCAM! I signed up for Google Money Master's (also known as Google Revolution) 7 day free trial. In order to sign up for the trial I had to give them my credit/debit card information. The program was not anything like what was advertised. After only 4 days I checked my bank account for a different reason and realized that the company had taken out over $70. That is their monthly fee if you continue with the program. I was not planning on continuing. I called and complained for them to refund the money. I had to wait 7-10 business days. Then 4 days later Click Sell Go took $37.63 out of my account. I never signed up for anything for with them. They are a subsidiary of Google Revolution. I had to call them and demand a refund. No upstanding company uses a customers bank account without permission!

I ENTERED MY CREDIT CARD INFO. AND SCREEN CAME UP SAYING I AM NOT ELIGILBLE. WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? I WON'T TRUST THAT THIS IS NOT A SCAM AND I DO HOPE THAT MY CREDIT INFO DOES NOT GO ANY FURTHER...NOR WILL I BE CHARGED FOR THIS MATERIAL I AM NOT "ELIGIBLE" FOR. Also being sold as Recession Proof 360 same scam and they even pre-select the agreed to terms and conditions so an errant keystroke or (in my case a dropped mouse) brings you right to the congratulations page. For $1.97 what did I care EXCEPT the terms and conditions indicate if you don't cancel within 5 days (not 24 hour days) just 5 days from subscription you will be charged $87.11 every 30days.
There customer support phone line is an answering machine, if you leave your name and number they will call you back (48 hours and still waiting), their email support is a canned response. Their online cancel is a form that requires that you will not ask for a refund of any money already charged. I've contacted the Better Business Bureau, the Vermont Department of Public Service, will contact someone in the FCC, have already contacted VISA and my bank.
I am incensed at them for being so slimy and at me for being so naive. I thought I was buying a taste of the merchandise, but without due diligence I fell victim to their sleazy practices. I guess an $87.11 lesson is better then a more expensive lesson...It still pisses me off that I can't give anyone a piece of my mind on this topic except an answering machine and a automated emailer.

Nice to know that I am not the only one to be duped in this maddening scam. I also authorized a charge of 1.99 to my credit card and there were no terms & conditions to which I agreed that money will be charged to my account every month.

My credit card company is helping me to dispute the charges but in the meantime I have cancelled my credit card to prevent any further fraudulant charges.

Too bad for the legitimate offers out there...I will most definitely NOT be risking my credit information EVER again!

Google almost pursuaded

I was looking online at our local news rag and saw an ad for Job Gazette News so I clicked on it. Hey, I 'm always looking to better myself and my standard of living so I was intrigued when I saw a "testimonial" how a nice young man named Josh Shelby was "digging deeper in debt" and his "only way out was working online". I read a little further and, being the curious nature that I am clicked on a link that said "find out more". I was then directed to a site that looked like a cheap cookie cutter website and the head line read "Earn up to $209-943 a day", then foot note said "Thousands are using Google to earn quick cash with nothing more than a few hours a day and a home computer". I entered a bogus name and an old email address and clicked on the instant access button. From there I was directed to a page that wanted my Credit Card info but no further information was given on what I would be paying for but still thinking "it's only a dollar ninety- seven what could it hurt. But before I committed, I decided to research. BUT WAIT! MY TIMER WAS RUNNING OUT OF TIME! I DIDN'T HAVE TIME FOR RESEARCH! Guess what? You can reset the timer as many times as you want to. So I went to Google and got their phone number and called them. The nice girl on the other end explained to me that the only jobs that are affiliated with Google in any way are listed in the employment section of the "About Google" page located in the Google Search Website. Folks, money is tight these days so I want to give everyone some tips from a High school educated, blue - collar Okie. #1. Remember what Momma used to say. If it’s too good to be true, then it really is too good to be true. #2. Never give your personal info to a website unless they have a telephone number listed on the website that you can call and talk to a live person, and especially a website that wants you to pay before they tell you anything about the business. And #3. If you really want to go into business, do it right. If you don't understand all the legal mumbo jumbo, don't be a hero. Get an attorney that understands small business and pay the retainer fee. $1500 is a drop in the bucket compared to $15, 000 lost down the road with nothing you can do about it. He or She can read contracts and important documents for you and council you on the facts. Last, #4- Don't get Burned. Do your homework. Try to find out information on the company. Look on the Better Business Bureau web site www.bbb.com . Look at the scandal reports. Try using Snopes or Rip-off.com. There are alot of online scams out there. God Bless and Protect Yourself.

I just found out that an unmarked charge on my credit card has been going on for six months. I thought it was just another high credit card fee and canceled the card. Upon investing the fees the card company said wasn't theirs, but had no name or phone listing. I call the account # and got an answering service that said they handled several
of these accounts and asked for the amount and my name. At this point they informed me that their reoccurring monthly services, which are a useless mail box feature I can get for fee elsewhere, were a part of another package deal for online info I found to be misleading when I got it and immediately canceled within the cancellation period.
They informed me that the other companies cancellation did not effect their product, of which I had no knowledge whatsoever, and theirs had to be canceled by a person phone call, of course to a number I never was given.

The primary company was Google Money.

Don't get roped into this bait and switch.

Stay away from Google Money.

I payed $3.04 on the 16th feb to find out some more info about google money and found that it was not for me, so I never aplyed for the full package, but low and behold on the 9th of march they took $75.08 from my account without my authorization! and now they have taken another $72.81 on the 19th of march only 10 days later! not real good for a jobless father with a mortgage!

SO BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!
And the bank said I will need to get a new card to stop payments being taken, what a pain, and it is going to cost me another $25 for that, as I have just recieved my new one!
HOW CAN GOOGLE ALOW SUCH A SCAM TO USE THERE NAME!

I signed up for a work at home on the internet business for $1.95, which they said would cover the cost of an explanatory CD. I never received anything, but my credit card was charged $47 first by "googmoney" and then another $47 for "emillionaire". I called to dispute it and got a runaround by a frazzled receptionist who kept saying "Everyone is in a meeting" and eventually hung up on me. I disputed it with my credit card company too, and they want me to send additional information as proof but there is nothing to send!
I am an out of work elementary school teacher and I cannot afford to be scammed like this. Is there any recourse for me?

This has nothing to do with Google.

What an idiot.

You signed up with a scam site using the Google name. Only one you've got to blame here is you, for trying to buy into a "get rich quick" scheme.

Google doesn't have your credit card details because real Google services are free, unless you happened to have purchased some AdWords advertising.

I suggest you take your own advice in the last line. Actually, I suggest you get educated because you could have avoided this scam if you had.

Google leslie hawthorn

Hello,

I am not disclosing my real name because I am in fear for my safety and privacy if she finds my name. I don't care about myself, but for my son's sake.

Leslie Hawthorn is the woman (Read: broad) that runs the Google open source projects.

She is a friend of a person I hear has a past as a computer criminal (Randi Harper). I have not ruled out whether or not she has one too. I wouldn't even dare ask you to Google her name.

I have had a child participate in Google GHOP. This is a contest where children (highschool AND middle school) participate in programming projects.

I have heard of Leslie Hawthorn. My son has too, and likes her very much.

I looked through my sons history and found the following page: http://www.okcupid.com/profile/lhawthorn. My son, 14 years old, read the following information, by Leslie Hawthorn:

The Skinny
Drugs Sometimes

I was wondering if you could explain to me where in the United States Code it's lawful for adults to use the same handles at work, the same name, on search engines, and to show them that.

I'm seriously considering reporting this to the FBI. They're ruining my child's life.

One thing is for sure, I'm letting everyone know that Google has seriously dropped the ball her. My kid has been exposed to this disgusting trash who merely has the facade of working. "Weekend Warrior"?

Let me Google that: A group of people that have regular jobs during the week and take drugs on weekends. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weekend_Warrior) Yes, there are other ambiguations, but judging by her drug-laden, sexually-charged quizzes, perhaps not.

If you view Leslie Hawthorn's Google profile, You'll see her superpower is "Empathy". http://www.google.com/profiles/102185677147054654441

When my child comes to me asking me what "**** master" means, tell me where the empathy is in that?

I feel like I am going to leap out of my skin. I've never felt so ###ing angry. This heffer.. and you are the one's that let this go past the radar.

Good god. I am going to sue these dirtbags senseless!

I am begging you please to bring some exposure to this...

Google Unauthorized charge

My story is very similar to everyone elses. I thought I ws getting a cd with information about money making. I 'd just gotten laid off so I thought why not see what it says to do. I had not even opened the cd and I call to get a balance on my account 4/23 and $72.21 has been taken out. I have been calling since that day and still don't have my money back. Once they told me it had already been refunded! Now every number I have for them has been disconnected. I will not give up without a fight. I am still looking for different numbers.

I was charged $72.21 on my bank card for something I know nothing about. It happened on 1/17/09 and on 12/19/08 from the state of NV [protected], for the same amount.

I was charged $72.21 for something called google treasure chest after ordering a training cd on "how to make money online" for the agreed price of $3.88. I have no idea what the $72.21 charge is for nor did I authorize it. they charged me both of the above charges on two separate dates. there was nothing in the fine print about any additional charges. I have received the training cd, but I have not had time to view it. I plan to return it once I get in touch with the company!

A month or so ago I notice several charges to my checking account that I did not make. they casued me to overdraw on my account. all of them returned the money except google treasure chest. they didn't care that a) I didn't order anything from them and b) I hadn't received anything to return to them anyway. so, I took it up with my bank. the bank had no luck either. they told me I had to go back to google treausre chest. so I did. again, they could care less that I didn't want it, didn't order it, etc. I asked for a supervisor and was told that they "don't take calls and he will tell you the same thing I just told you." I then found out that I was speaking to a 3rd party. when I asked for treasure chest's direct number, they told me they didn't know it. he said my only recourse was to file a complaint with my local authrorities and give them the case #. I did and immediately called back to give them the number and receive my money. here's where it gets fun. I get a message telling me that they are open monday-friday, 8-5 mountain standard time. I called at 4:14 est. since whenis mountain time an hour ahead of eastern?

Was interested in this blog about working for google from home. From what I understood they would send me the information on how to load web sites for google and get paid for it. The information was suppose to be free, but I had to pay $1.97 for shipping/handling. Received a DVD
a week later had information that I wasn't interested in doing (small business and selling on ebay).
Received this information on 4/13, by 4/17 they charged my card $72.21. I have disputed it with my card company, but there should be a law against this fraud.
