Fox Rent A Car Car rental no refund for cancellation due to my company's covid concerns.

I'm a independent contractor. I took advantage of the reduced rental fee for a larger vehicle. My experience renting cars has shown me that larger vehicles, Vans and Trucks sit unrented since the demand is not for gas guzzlers or large bulky vehicles that people have a hard time parking. I'm your ideal customer for large vehicles sitting collecting dust. My company cancelled this trip due to covid which equates to reducing the chance that I would have contact with your employees and keep them safe and me safe from a deadly virus. There was no refund on the rental agreement. I rented it that way because I had my airline tickets and I waited and rented the car 3 days before travel. I'm asking since the trip is postponed rather than cancelled if I can have a credit for what I paid you while the SUV sat collecting dust towards a future rental that will happen since the Military is involved. Think of our future business relationship not just what you can get from people now. Thank You. Russell.

Fox Rent A Car Administrative toll fee

Nearly 45 days after my rental return for a toll on I 75 North (Everglades Pkwy West). I was charged a $15.00 administrative fee for a $3.25 toll owing $18.25 total. This is totally ridiculous, as a disabled veteran I'm appalled that these practices still exist in our country. There was a class action lawsuit filed on the Fox Rental company in Seattle Washington concerning this same underhanded practice. Here are the details. "A class action lawsuit filed in Seattle, Washington claims Fox Rent a Car and Violation Management Services illegally scammed rental car customers by charging them as much as 16 times the amount of automatically collected highway tolls incurred during the course of their car rental". Although dismissed later this has become a real money maker for Fox Rental. I will pay, but refuse to let this go as I will contact the State Attorney General, followed by The Better Business Bureau.

Fox Rent A Car Rental car

I made a reservation on 7/27/2020 for a one way rental from Seattle Airport to LAX airport pick up car 8/8/20 return to LAX 8/15/20. There was a Fox website error. I was given return to Seattle instead of Los Angeles. This does not and cannot work for me. Fox charged me the rental fee twice. 311.56 times 2. They also charged a $400 deposit. They refuse to refund. I have not taken the car. I have not received svc. I need refund. They are impossible to reach and transfer to other department (billing) and billing won't help and rarely answer phone after many hours. it has now been 24 hours and 6 phone calls and emails to customer service and billing and social media. Their website shows due to Covid anyone can get a refund. But, they have only offered credit. They now say a one way Drop Off charge is $400 dollars - so I want to cancel. I was not advised of these charges in advance. I do not wish to rent from them at all. They have thousands of complaints and class action against them. I wish I had learned before I tried to use their service. They say the customer is to blame. No, they are. Aso all that pops up about cancellation for Pay Now customers is that you can contact the same way you rented - either third party or direct website.

regarding car rental from Sept. 28, 2019 - Oct. 9, 2019: I Received a bill for toll charge of $2.33 on the Selmon expressway from tampa. and an administrative fee of $30! This is ridiculous. I have no problem to pay the $2.33 but the extra "fee" of $30 is nothing but a scam for Fox to get more money. This is my second complaint against this company. Fox Rent A Car customer service

FOX RENT A CAR mishandled an accident claim, erroneously demanded payment for a fee I am not responsible for.

Fox Claim #: OAK-425271-C01

At no fault of my own, I was involved in an accident while I was in a rented vehicle from FOX RENT A CAR.
I reported the incident to authorities at the time of the accident, and I informed FOX RENT A CAR of the accident
and filled out necessary paperwork. Approximately 3 month after the accident,
Vince Werner, a damage and recovery agent from FOX RENT A CAR, called me and rudely demanded I pay a fee,
did not attempt to validate his identity, did not provide any information about what the fee was for, sent
mail correspondence to me at the wrong address, and threatened to send this supposed debt to collections.
Vince Warner phone number is 918 215 9338 and his email address is vwerner@foxrentacar.com. Our phone call
occurred on 10/15/2019. Additionally, I paid for insurance through FOX RENT A CAR and I had a second form of insurance.

I had a very similar situation occur. Around the same time, but SeaTac International Airport. However I received a vehicle already damaged. Then months later received a phone call saying the car was damaged, and they mailed a letter demanding for $3000 to an address that was not mine. The mileage at the time I rented the car was 3000 miles more than the mileage at the time the vehicle was supposedly seen at a repair shop a month after I returned it! It sounds, feels, looks like another fox scam

Fox Rent A Car overcharging on car rental and fees for 8 days

I reserved a car through Orbitz for Fox rental at $23.95/day as advertised on Orbitz and ended up paying $52.44/day after all the taxes and fees. What a rip off I wrote on Yelp and will contact Orbitz and put it on FB not to rent from you all. If you advertise for one amount and end up charging another it is a total scam! On top of that the counter person asked where I was going (first time driving to Napa) and she charged me going back and forth on the toll bridges for 7 days for around $100 which after hours on the phone for CS I got reversed! I was going one way in to Napa and one way out and went online and paid less than $25 for the tolls! There were so many CA taxes and fees it was ridiculous! The Orbitz paperwork stated Base Price of $202.85 and Taxes and Fees $80.26 for total of $282.76 but ended jump paying with $65 for gas $420! I am also going to write a consumer complaint with SF Regulatory Agency! This is not right and not fair and unscrupulous!

Fox Rent A Car rental car

RA MCO510609 I Ren Ed an Economy car and was told I had $1000! Deposit. I have dual residency FL&NV. I worked for the renal companies in LV and knew this to be false. I called RES and they told me the price but the CA wouldn't talk to them. He would not let me talk with a manager . As I was leaving another agent said $500 and the original agent was rude and proceeded to give me a Kia sport age which was a death trap. Wheels hit the fenders, the brakes took two car lengths to stop, the downhill traction wouldn't disengage, AND NO A/C in 98 degree weather two days into my rental so my friends had to drive me around until I had a four hour ride to the airport! No one answered any of my calls and I'm still waiting for a call back!
Do something!

Fox Rent A Car shady people! terrible experience

First of all, I got a small junk car as my RSVP for mid size rental car. ( Even one of floor carpet has a big hole)
I scheduled to return the car in Burbank CA at 4pm on 6/28.
Who was on duty, Vianca was on duty. Very unprofessional. after a long wait, she told me to go to the office for more explanation. ( she didn't even tell me the reason why). i asked why? she said, i don't know, you just go to the office to finish up to close the account. after my many time of asking, she finally pick up the phone, and said her supervisor, SYED, said because i return car early, so there is a charge for $41! ( i returned at the same day at 3:15PM)
MY GOODNESS! i been rent car in my whole life, never experience this!

Shady people?! or just been unprofessional by not knowing what is " early return " mean!?

terrible experience! Don't rent from them!

Fox Rent A Car return of rental fee

My wife had a accident on November 10 2018. We were to travel to Phoenix in December but we could not because of the accident. We rented the car thru Car Rental Usa. I have sent documention to them and they never returned my calls. My credit card company has contacted you and you have refused the refund of unused fee. I have used Fox a number of times before but will never use you again. Also as a Vice President of a large union I will let my membership know that even with Doctors notes for evidence you refuse to refund our money. So I will recommend that none of them use your services. Jim Glenn

Fox Rent A Car contract for car rental

When we rented a car at Denver airport on 7/24/2018 at 1:53 AM, the girl at the counter (Ashley) asked if I wanted insurance or roadside assistance coverage. I told her to waive both and so she put together the contract, had me initial four places where I was told were items to show I declined the services. When it came time for the final contract, I questioned that the contract was for $150 more than the estimate when I rented the car on line. She stated that that was just a deposit on the car and would be reimbursed once the car was brought back.
When I looked at the contract later on, I discovered I was indeed charged $111.96 for insurance and $23.96 for roadside assistance.
I have talked to, written to and emailed Fox but have not received any satisfaction. I believe this was a deliberate scheme to overcharge for services I did not want nor request and I believe this is a scam perpetuated on other Fox customers.
My agreement number was DEN 472216.

Fox Rent A Car unreasonable express toll fee

I used Fox Rental Car from 6/25/2018 to 7/1/2018 in Denver, Colorado. During the rental period, I used Highway 470 10 times (each time, the cost is $4.15). I am willing to pay for the toll fees since I used the service. However, I received very surprising bill from the company saying that I need to pay $272.40 and if I don't pay by in 2 days, my credit card will get charged. I believe that the total express toll fees should be a lot less than that. I was NOT warned for the hefty bill when I signed the rental contract. I have rented cars so many times during my military career for the last 15 years, but I have never had this unpleasant experience from any other rental car companies. It is rather scary that your company is doing this. I have been sending emails and files complaints to the company for last 7 days, but none of them are communicating with me. I feel like I am getting ignored.

Fox Rent A Car everything!

I booked a reservation for a Full-size car at the SJC Airport. The guy at the counter says that he has only Ford Focus to offer. We asked for options and all he did was go to a lower class. Started talking about how lives might end and how dangerous it is to drive on the road and how I might lose my life. He literally asks me to stay safe and get the car back in the same condition because 'he has seen horrifying things come back'. I have never heard of any representative of any company talk like that. We go to pick our car, and the guy gives us a Ford Focus which wasn't registered to be rented out, we roll back into the parking, he starts showing us mid-size cars when he could have easily bumped us up. He even sent us back to the counter saying that he couldn't do anything. The guy at the counter bumped us up finally, saying that it could have been done at pick up. These guys are a set of unprofessional people trying to scam people paying them for a service they do not really provide. I'd never recommended Fox Rent a Car to anyone I know. I'd rather tell everyone to stay as far away as you can from these people.
