Very rude representative
They need to train their customer service more! I contacted Fotolia and received nothing but rudeness. Their rep showed total disrespect towards me and was really unfriendly. I asked her name but she refused to tell and then I told her that I wanted to speak with their manager or Fotolia owner but she also refused to tell me their contact details.
I don't know her name, but that lady rep was super nasty and I was disgusted to hear her voice and rude tone.
People like she should not be allowed to work with customers!
Just stay away from them
These thieves from Fotolia stole my money! I gave them my card details when I signed up and later they made some extra charges and stole over $300 from me! When I contacted Fotolia and demanded a full refund they said they had no idea what was I talking about. I can get all the necessary proofs from my bank that Fotolia took my money and that was made without my permission! This is a bad way to do business and I will sue them if I don't get my money back! Horrible, just stay away from them!
Is Fotolia legit?
Fotolia earns 91% level of Trustworthiness
Perfect Trust Endorsement: Fotolia achives 91% ligitmacy per Complaints Board. Highly recommended, yet always stay vigilant.
We found clear and detailed contact information for Fotolia. The company provides a physical address, 2 phone numbers, and 2 emails, as well as 2 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
The age of Fotolia's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.
Fotolia.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.
Several positive reviews for Fotolia have been found on various review sites. While this may be a good sign, it is important to approach these reviews with caution and consider the possibility of fake or biased reviews.
We looked up Fotolia and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While Fotolia has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 14% of 7 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- Fotolia protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
Credits Disappeared
I'm a graphic designer. I purchase "credits" to buy stock photography as needed. I went to the fotolia.com site the other day, and my credits had disappeared. After contacting fotolia via their online contact form, I was informed my credits had expired. Expired? After several days over one year? I was not warned that my credits would expire when I bought them. I was not warned via email or any other form that my credits were expiring. As a designer, I buy a lot of stock photography from many different sources. It is not other microphotography sites' policy that credits expire after only a year. I have to conclude that fotolia is a scam company, and will take your money if you leave it in their hands. It goes without saying I would never use them again. I also note that fotolia.com is not on the list of stock image sites recommended in "Graphic Design USA" magazine (March 2012). I am appalled reading the way contributors have been treated with deleted accounts, deleted photographs, and stolen earnings. fotolia.com should be brought to justice via lawsuit...they laugh at us on their way to the bank with their stolen profits.
istock and dreamstime do it too, as do many others - it's a common way of making money for nothing
Fraud and misrepresentation!
Hello!
After one year of using Fotolia, my account suddenly blocked and unfortunately my all files are disappeared, I don't have access to my files, I can't use my account, sale, and upload content. I don't see any other links on the site.
Fotolia did not write me any explanation about it...
I tried to contact them via email, I queried Fotolia support, I got no response. and I am still waiting...
Please kindly help me to unlock my account.
I also tried to write on Fotolia wall at Facebook but they bin me from the page I cantact Patrick Lor the President, Fotolia North America.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I suggest you guys file a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). They will receive a negative rating and possibly a fine, you can file online.
No surprise at all. Fotolia is owned by Adobe, which has become one of those greedy corporations to stay away from. Adobe owes me over two years of money from taking taxes from the subscription that they are not supposed to be taking. Their customer service is useless, I'll get someone from India who, in poor English, will not understand the situation and when the case gets escalated I never hear from them again.
2 calls to customer service, 3-4 unsubscribe attempts and one email to customer service and they still haven't deleted my account and are still sending me emails. Incredibly infuriated about the poor customer service, not to mention the illegality of communications going against the SPAM act.
I hate these ###, few days ago they blocked my account too. I am trying to contact them but no body is going to respond to me
I have almost $320 in my account and now my money is lost.
Fotolia blocked my account. I gathered that money after selling lots of my images and they took it like a piece of cake.
Since I am not getting any response from fotolia and not getting my money back, I want to let everybody know what they have done to me.
Hello, I am from Malaysia
I newly registered an account on fotolia.com and start selling stocks I had great sales with almost 3500 images but I couldn't convert my credits to my paypal account. I contacted fotolia regarding this issue and they replied "In addition you must wait 45 days from your first commissionable transaction to make your first conversion."
When I completed the period I converted all my account credits $637 but unfortunately fotolia cheated me like other guys. They did not converted any credit to my account but just blocked my account without any warning and reason. I contact them many times but no reply they blocked my ip address too.
Fotolia is not a international site. they are fraud stay away from fotolia. Maybe this site is only for European and American or the countries which they support
Great post! I'm in the middle of the scam (waiting for the email that explains how to activate my account).
But I think if your account is blocked they will not refund you the credit left in your account, they will not speak to you anymore and This is very unprofessional.
What is wrong with that company? They treat contributors so poorly and rarely.
Explain what? They just need your money and for that they've to block your account.
Fotolia will block 10 to 15 account every month depending on their needs
Beware: Fotolia can invent a new rule every day, to take back what you’ve already earned in the past months. How much did you earn from Fotolia until now? Well, by staying at Fotolia, you are risking every penny of them!
I also was using Fotolia for a very long time but unfortunately they blocked my account without any warning.
Fotolia blocked my account on April took my all money £345 and over 6800 images and they also continue to sale my images for almost 1 week.
I tried to contact them via email and phone call but they wasn't return my phone calls and emails about questions I have ask.
They are a bunch of frauds.
Fotolia Blocked Account

Please Help Me to Stop Fotolia

I am so sorry about this.
Somebody should take a serious action against Fotolia. I was using fotolia for about one year they blocked my account just transferred me $150 while I got over $520 on my account I'm in the middle of the scam (waiting for the email that explains why the blocked my account).
Fraud
I was a contributor with fotolia and recently had my account blocked for no reason whatsoever. All emails and phone calls to seek an explanation have been ignored. This is a company that treats its contributors appalingly and any attempt to highlight grievances or complaints on their forum leads to an immediate ban.
I heard about fotolia from lulu self-publishing.
So I went on their site to find something for a book cover. But I find their rules about the use of images not clear, not specific, and not thorough enough. I couldn't trust this company based on this and I so I didn't bother.
Why am I not surprised that they have unhappy contributors?
Fotolia can block/delete your account, but continues to sell your images.
Same problem here, its been 3 months they did not transfer my earnings, blocked my account and do not reply. They say there is an issue with my account, but what exactly I dont know for 3 months already.
Fotolia is a scam, this is what I can tell, they grew big with the help of contributors like us and now started to fraud.
i bet you had a airport sign in your images
