We just purchased a 2011 Flagstaff Micro-Lite travel trailer made by Forest River. It came with a Dometic DM2652RBF1 refrigerator. Apparently this refrigerator is a new design and has a ventilator fan somewhere in the rear. In our case this fan starts, runs for several seconds and stops and this occurs every minute or so. I've spoken to Dometic customer service a couple of times and had the dealer look at it. They've reported this to be working correctly.

Our problem is that we only camp in the NY State Parks in the Adirondack mountains, and there is (by law) no power at these campsites. You need to run on your batteries and are allowed to run a generator for a few hours each day to recharge the batteries. However due to the drain on the battery from this refrigerator fan, the battery loses at least 2/3 of its charge overnight, and after a couple of days there aren't enough allowable generator hours to get the battery back to full charge.

The net of it is that we have a brand-new trailer but it looks like we will have to replace the refrigerator with an older model that doesn't have this internal fan in order to use it at the campgrounds where we go.

So, anyone purchasing a new Forest River trailer should be aware that if they are equipped with one of these new Dometic refrigerators that have an internal fan, they probably won't be able to camp without 110 power for very long.

We purchased a 2019 Forest River Sabre in September to live in full time. The first night we had it the air conditioner caught on fire. Luckily my husband was right there and pulled the wires out of the ceiling. We called the dealer and they sent someone out the next day. We have had several other problems like the kitchen farm sink busting and the slide coming apart but the dealer fixed our problems. On 3/29 I was coming down the inside stairs and fell. The tread on the stairs had the shiny slipper side up and the ridged side down. I had to go to the hospital with a hematoma the size of a watermelon. After 3 days in the hospital I was able to go home. As of today 5/30 I still have a hematoma the size of a baseball. We called Forest River and talked with Maddison Byerley in Owner Relations who told me she would be right by our sides and we were first priority to get help with my medical bills and pain and suffering. I sent all the pictures, bills, letters from doctors, proof of time lost from work, etc. She handed us over to Henry Sears Manager Sabre-Plant 62 Warranty, Parts & Service who requested all the same information and I presented everything to him. Today I get a call from Henry telling me they have turned down my claim. They are saying they did not install the treads wrong on the stairs. I asked them why they would install stairs with slippery treads on top of the stairs and the ridged side that keeps you from falling on the front side of the stairs. He told me they can build the stairs anyway they want to. I emailed him and asked for something in writing but he nor Maddison will reply. If you own a Sabre Fifth Wheel check your stairs. You will see what I am talking about. If you have had a fall or been injured contact your attorney. I am now left with medical bills I should not have to pay. Forest River does not care about their customers. Buyer BEWARE!

Three months ago we purchased a 2017 vengeance last month we took it for a trip about 1500 miles before we got home we had to replace the left rear tire on a double axel set up . a inch and a half of the inside of the tire was wore off, contacted the dealer showed them the tire and date on the stamped on the tire. They said they contacted forest river and dexter axels so far we have not heard anything from anyone. We paid to alignment the axel out of our pocket almost $1000.. Both axels were not in correct camber or tow. So far dealer said we were the ones who did it because they towed it out here 2000 miles with no problem. Who says they weren't the ones who hit something. I thought this trailer was under warranty even bought an extended warranty, understood they stood behind their products but so fare we have seen nor have we heard anything out of them. We have left all paper work for the work we have done with Russ Dean Rv 2 weeks ago. We just want forest river to stand behind their product and made it
right. We were told that it could take 3 to 4 months to get it in to fix the trailer so we paid its summer time to vacation. Les and I bought this to use not to wait to see how or if they are going to fix it. We were told forest river was the best for making things right. I don't see that and at this point I would not recommend any one to purchase an rv made by them.

I am a full timer in my new Forest River Salem Le 36ft. I have tarry black substance coming out of my bedroom ceiling and out of bathroom wall and light fixtures. The manufacturer rep want talk to me. I have left several messages. The dealership came down and took pictures and a sample of tarry stuff. He says he is having trouble getting rep to talk to him. I want them to test this yuk and see what it is. The dealership says it is condensate. I don't think so.I am concerned this might be harmful to us.

Hello: We purchased a 30ft 2011 Sierra, last August, we where told the water heater was only propane. ? (someone broke it) anyway we went to a wedding in Thunder Bay and where told we could bring it back for its presentation instructions etc. Well... when we came back we had discovered the water heater was also electric. They would not fix it, so Glen fixed it the cost of $19.00 for the tool and the parts$24.00 plus tax... is still on our heads, also the 2 vents in the living area have to be opened with a pole that fits into the knob to turn them open. we do not have a pole, we where told (we are over 70 ) to climb a ladder to open them. . We pushed up the bed to put things underneith and the screws where hanging down and the board fell right off so Glen had to get a new board and screws and fix that. Also the clock did not work, the hands stayed at 6:00 oclock. Had to fix that.
We bought this at HEIDI'S RV 3982 Hwy 11 Souuth, R.R.#2 HAWKESTONE, ONTARIO. L0L 1T0 The service is very very bad. What can you do for us to make us have a little faith in Forest River Products. Unhappy buyers
