Food Lion management and poor training skills

I was hired for the retail pricing coordinator position and I never received training. The only training I received was two pieces of notebook paper that had notes from the previous person that had the position. I asked my supervisor multiple times if I was ever going to get any training, and all he would tell me is that he would see what he could do.

Food Lion customer service

I had a terrible experience and it seems to be the same employee every time. The first time was a short but so I didn't have to deal with her attitude long but this second time she was extremely rude, you can tell she clearly had an attitude. I'm 8 months pregnant and had my 3 year old with me so I didn't get the cans of sodas or water out the bottom which they usually don't have a problem scanning but she did and was slinging the box of cans around to find the bar code so she was shaking all the soda on my cart finding the car code to scan along with shaking her head no like she had a problem with doing her job I didn't say anything I was ready to go then I wanted to make a split payment down the middle and she slammed the calculator on top of the register frustrated that she had to do math. To top it off which was the last straw for me is that she threw 2 bags of multiple chips I bought on top of the cart where my daughter was sitting landing on top of her pretty much now that pissed me off don't throw things at my daughter I don't care if it wieghs less than a lb. She clearly did not want to be there and for me does not meet the requirements of even being a cashier if she does not have great customer service skills or math skills. I work in a customer service field so I know how we are suppose to treat people. So a manager or Human Resources needs to take a look into this cashier named Lasharrell according to my receipt. If they want to keep her on staff fine she just needs to be away from people and stock shelves or work in the back she does not meet the qualification to be in customer service.

Food Lion employee harassment

I'm writing to let you all know I don't like how my daughter is being singled out by grace ( one of the managers) going to tell her that she can't not work cause she was sick and didn't bring her doctors note when that was in my room and I was at work. She have a note, then she discussing my daughter business to another employee in the store. It's plenty of people don't come to work on her shift just to go to parties and she don't say nothing. Food Lion sale pricing

I went to your store in Kernersville on Main st to buy a Butterball Turkey and a a Ham at check out I was told I could not get sale price unless I spent 35.00 Dollars.
There is not a sign on your Butterball Turkeys that say this. I am very displeased
with this I later called your store and was told I did not need to spent the 35.00
amount please let your employees know what is on sale.

Food Lion bullying

Dear Madam/Sir

This is Jane Shaddeau my sister worked here fulltime at the deli section she was a very hard worker person she even always showed up everytime the deli manager call her to work when she got her day off she been really dedicated to her job.. The store manager promoted her quick to fulltime job and assistant deli manager some of the employees get mad that she got the position even the costumer servce manager get mad at her that she always treat her bad her name is CNDY MOORE she always make sure that her day is miserable and always notice every little thing she does even though she just always work.. Oneday we pick her up at work she was crying one of the employee ask if she can work tomorrow my sister just told her to ask our manager if they gonna let u work and CNDY yell at her tell her that dont act like assitant manger because ur not in front of everybody that really embarrassed her. she should not act like that we came there really mad at her bcoz nobody deserve to be treated like that.. We also gonna complain on the labor board reagarding the situation they not even let them
give her a break i feel it have descrimination on the store and i cant tolerate that i hope this will give lesson to her that she should not treat anybody like that.. I know she used to work at foodlion by east little creek rd i asked one of the employees there she said she was a [censored] and they reported them too at the Human Resource i have no idea why food lion keeping her if she not get along to anybody please take action and dont ler her mistreat others my sister no longer employed because or her!

Food Lion customer service

Complaining about customer service. On 10/15/2018 I inquired as to why "my wallet" didn't contain any of my earnings. Sent to research team. 10/22 I called again; nothing was done with my inquiry. 10/25 I called again and spoke with ms estelle goli. Still nothing done. Asked to speak to supervisor and told no one was available and was told they would call me back but was unsure about what day. What day? Give me a break. Your customer service is awful. Do something!

Food Lion harassment at work

I am a current employee at FoodLion and I am constantly being harassed by a strange customer that only comes inside the store when he either sees my truck outside in the parking lot or when I am at a register alone with no customers. He has walked behind me and whispered strange things behind mye while my back was turned facing a customer and consistently stares at me until I leave my register and even when I was backing out of the parking lot. I am afraid he may have information on me now that he knows what kind of vehicle I drive and possibly my license plate number and I have repeatedly gotten my store manager involved and other head managers who were on site. Nothing has been done and it's been going on since I've first started working at the location. My store manager isn't sure about what needs to be done besides banning him from the store. What are some solutions I can do to prevent this from continuing ? I'm scared to death to walk out every night and I have to be escorted out by a manager on duty when I close at night.

Food Lion customer service

i went to the foodlion in moonville sc to get a product in the deli that is on sale it was out of stock the woman didnt offer to help with anything else the store manager didn't offer me a rain check for the product that was on sale..i am very upset as i am a current shopper at that location.please contact me at [protected] after 1 pm .my name is nikki mahaffey

Food Lion closing procedure

I don't understand why Food Lion lock the other side of the door at 10:50 when it should be lock at 10:30 for safety reasons. For example, when you are closing at night and your last cashier leaves like at 10 or 10:30 its just you up front by yourself and the manager is doing his or her stuffs around the store they the manager will be not be see what is going on. You the company should reconsider the safety of the employees safety first. Had a manager told me that Food lion standard practice is you don't lock the other side of the door until 10:50 will I am considering my safety first and i dont care what the manager got to say, unless the manager will be accountable for what actions happen. Every manager i close with closes the door at 10:50 except one manager our evening manager who considers the safety of ours so he lock that other side at 10:30. Also with theft happening that door is like a getaway door where you cannot see them go. Please revise.

Food Lion customer service assistant manager

Every time I go in to the Food Lion store (1696) he is either talking nasty or dancing nasty with other store employees. I'm to the point I'm going to stop going shopping there, I will find another store to shop at. I don't have a problem with anyone being gay but do you really have to behave in such a distasteful way while you are at work. (twerking and talking about boy pussy). Us as shoppers don't need to see or hear that kind of behavior from an employee and he's an assistant manager. They need to rethink that.

Food Lion paper check service at the checkout

On 10/01/2018 at approximately 8:37:26; I went shopping at the store # 1235 N. Military Hwy. Norfolk, Virginia Phone number (757)-461-2533; I went through the check out line and handed the sales clerk Veronica Robeless and Amanda Owens my check # 274 the total amount came to $12.73, I wanted $50.00 dollars over the check amount totaling $62.73; A screen popped up with a number for me to call . I was not allowed to purchase the food. I called the number [protected] the automotive system asked me for a lot of my personal information including my" check routing number" and full checking account number that ALARMED me because, someone can gain access to my account now or do money transfers. My checks are good ; I've written several good food lion checks in the past. The lady I talked with said it would take 7 days for the issue to be corrected, this has happened to me prior to this time at a different food lion location. I have been shamed again. I have missed an important appointment for 10:00 am this very morning and I feel stressed and violated. I would like your supervisors to investigate this matter and, I would like to be compensated.

Food Lion bakery clerk

I went to the bakery in Columbia, SC on Broad River Rd near greystone Blvd Saturday September 29, 2018. Where the customer service was terrible. I was looking at cakes where I was not greeted.. I ask the clerk if she wrote on cakes (while still looking down at the cake selection) I hear sighing . I looked up and said oh you don't she then stated "I do but I'm trying to get out of here" I ignored her rude response still looking in the feeezer at cakes then my phone rang I looked up she was looking at me I said you're going to do it she said I mean I guess.. The entire time writing on the cake she's just huffing puffing and sighing.. I was not pleased with the service and the outcome looks very rushed. I will not get another cake from food lion! Publix was my first choice but since it was raining I decided to try a different route. NOT AGAIN!

Food Lion employee

Employees should receive discount for working at Food Lion at least 10% on all groceries. Other grocery stores not Food Lion give there employees discount. Employees dont feel appreciate half of the time. Giving them a discount is the least you as the company can do. I see alot of the employees that has work for your company a decade or so and are still loyal but at least you can help with better raises better discounts for them.

Food Lion pricing is ridiculous

Your store is ripping us off here in Danville Virginia. Your sales ad is nothing on sale it's just your prices. We are all moving to Wal-Mart for our groceries because you just keep going up and up and up on things on the same things matter of fact. It's a shame that you get away with ripping off the public like this you have the highest prices on the East Coast. Better watch out people will start leaving you and I mean fast.

Agreed, their prices have gone up alot the past few years. I've shopped there for 2 decades and can attest to that. Also, it's getting frustrating to actually find things that you have bought in the past, because the big corporations pay for shelf space and if your item isn't sold by them, you're out of luck. With that said, though, it's the same for all the grocery stores, as they all inventory the same way. Walmart claims they don't do this, but just go down the household aisle and look at the shelf space they give Procter and Gamble (which is a monopoly, I don't care what anyone says). This is what makes people buy things online. These stores ultimately shoot themselves in the foot.

Food Lion threat

Okay an employee that works here Mary Mumford came into the store from her second job came in threatened me Shana Koontz also an employee at this storesaying if she heard me talking [censored] about her again she would find me in front of customers. She was not on the clock or anything. My manager Gary Arnold was standing there at the time an was witness to this incident. I was not the only employee she came into talk to or whatever her intentions were but there was a witness to that incident as well. I messaged our grocerey manager he got ahold of our assistant an store manager an they said to call hr. I dnt want her to lose her job . but it needs to be adressed an she needs to be spoke to.

Food Lion managers at this location.

My son was hired to be stock person but was put cleaning the store. He has migraines so he couldn't stand the chemicals in the cleaning suplies so he gave his 2 week notice. He was going to finish out his 2 weeks notice but one of the managers called him and said he didn't need him to come in. But according to the manager he was terminated. Any way we have been trying to get his last paystub and they have been giving us the run around. We went there twice and the manager wouldn't even come to the front to talk to us. We called 2 different times and still couldn't get to talk to a manager. We finally got the one lady manager to talk to us but he aid she couldn't pull up his information cause he didn't work there anymore. We needed this for our foodstamp case. We have tried for over 2 weeks to get this it was sposed to be turned in by the15 of september. Now we may lose our foodstamps because of the poor management at this location. I am really pissed off at this store because of the way they have treated us. And would not reccomend anyone to work at this store. Unless they have new management.

Food Lion front desk service

Have to wait for service too long. Employees never there on post for services. They be smoking outside or getting shopping carts. Or something else but not posted at the desk. They close earlier than time posted 9:00 if you get there at 8:50 you get no services. This is rude and wrong.please do something about this. The morning staff is great but the evening is always a problem.

Food Lion attitude of new personnel

I was in the new Food Lion that took over from Bill. I live across from this store so I have shopped there for years. First I went in there for three older ladies. As I was checking out my ordersi asked the lady to get me cigarettes the lady came back and I was ringing them though. The lady at self help asked if I had paid for something forgetting I had paid I rang them on. My bill! I have never in my life been spoken to in a manner as that. Was uncalled for! As I was exiting the store I asked her if she wanted to frisk me! 2) I went in a told thegirl in deli to get me 1/2 pound of meat sliced. I went to get fruits when I got back she had a whole pound. Well she split it and threw it on weigh machine complaining to others I had ordered full pound, I am older so I never get myself full. These employees were not friendly nor were they helpfulI cried through the store, never in my whole life have I been treated so badly. The girl in deli was a thin black girl! I will not shop there again.

Food Lion manager

Today at work (FoodLion) in Louisa, VA my manager came over to me after talking to another cashier and asked me if I was a minor and I said yes then she said and you're pregnant and I answered yes then she responded with shame on you. I would like this problem solved as quickly as possible I shouldn't feel targeted in my place of work for being pregnant, there are law suits that can be filed.

Food Lion goat cheese

Goat cheese has been discontinued at Norlina Food Lion. I was informed I could drive another 20 minutes to Food Lion Lake Gaston where it has not been discontinued. Where is this product discontinued? The employee stated t was a productive seller.
No internet service in store so had to go outside to Google what cheese could be substituted for goat. Came back and an employee came over to fine the substitute...which 2 containers we're expired over a month 8/3/18
