Greetings I been trying to get my child support payment for about six months. My son's dad was ordered to pay child support from the judge. However, St Lucie child support office will not help me to receive any payments. I emailed them about 5 times. They sent a letter saying that the first three checks have to be sent to me by mail. And after that I can...

Florida Child Support They will not do anything

Every time you call Florida Child Support Enforcement you either can't get through and are told to try call again later.. Or when you are able to actually speak to someone they all tell you different things. I don't understand it at all. It's like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. All I want to know is why I have not been receiving my child support payments like I should be.. And nobody can give you a straight answer on what they plan to do about it. They all need to be retrained because I'm sick of getting the run around for nearly 14 years.

Perhaps if you cannot afford to take care of the child yourself you should not be spreading your legs. They their right hand does not know what their left hand is doing, but you need to keep your right and left leg together so you cannot have a child you cannot afford.

Florida Child Support They got paid but I have not over 2 months now

My kids paid 4 pymts & they have not even sent me the 1st payment. Before we went to court he paid like clockwork & he still pays like clockwork. However the state has not sent me a single dime in over 2 months... Are they going to pay ALL my late fees for me not getting support on time? When you owe them money they will freeze your accounts in heartbeat. But god forbid we get money owed to us. They have been earning interest on it for this long then should reimburse us that interest amount too... I cannot afford food because I make to much with child support to get food stamps but I have to actually get the payment if they are going to hold it against me...

Florida Child Support FLORIDA SUCKS!

The state of Florida is a huge joke! I a native born Floridian who has moved to Kentucky had found out last year I had a son from a girlfriend who was a piece of crap, she gives birth never tells me about him waits 5 years to file paternity papers of which I signed for and take the test boom! Im a daddy, well gee thanks! then fill out all the monetary paperwork for the state and then move to Kentucky and get married and they track me down, not that I was hiding becuase they're system has no help or info for dads becuase we are all pieces of ### to them and the whole world! I get letter after letter telling me, pay this and pay that and I am 28, 000 in the hole, for what? Oh, they can go back 2 years from the date of paternity, oh so very nice that i have incurred a debt to which i never knew about! That's beautiful gee thanks again Florida! I sit on hold with that god awful hour or more wait to the state and every time it's your wait time is less than 30 minutes! ###! they have a horrible "You're a horrible person pay up deadbeat" mentality and they say after I have made 2 payments of get this this are you ready! $375 every 2 weeks, gee thanks yet again and on an $11 an hour job and they say they wont do a modification for 3 YEARS! WTF! You cheap ### women who are non job holding system users are PATHETIC! So as of today and I am making no income and can't do a thing about my deductions and just had my drivers license suspended and they intend to put the back owed support on my credit record of a person who is paying and hasn't flead or taken off on anyone "YET" I SAY F YOU! to the ### women and state of Florida! you both are write offs and a joke! This is exactly why I love to hear about men do can somehow beat the system! I was never married to that woman, knew her for 3 months and she had a previous abortion and kept mine and hang on, was drunk in a car and with her daughter hit a parked car and totalled hers and the police never gave her a feild sobriety test! LOVELY! does anyone wonder why I am a bit pissed off! Good luck guys i wish you the best and to most of the women who even have the guts to post here with your complaints, pick a better man next time and quit screwing with honest and decent men! The end.

I have 2 children and I have no idea where their dad is. When I did know were he was I went to IRD to give them his information. I get a letter back stating I need to come in and update his information. I was not able to make it in and the case was closed. I have been raising my boys without any help from him. I am sorry to say this but it is how I feel, I feel like Florida did not put in any effort in finding my boys father because I am not receiving state aid, (I have a job) and because the state is not paying me any money then there is no reason to focus on finding my boys father an make him pay childsupport. He keeps his information hidden so he will not be found.

I definitely agree that the courts in Florida are more for the women, I just got a divorce from the mother of my son and we agreed to 50/50 shared custody but I was ordered to pay $100 a week and pay medical care for our child, so what is the point of shared custody, especially since I have our child more than the 50 percent of the time. I've heard that states like north Carolina are more for the father's, I'm thinking about moving just to get away from Florida's stupid ways.

To "GOOD DAD". Get a clue...its not about you! While you're whining and ###, that mom is protbably scraping pennies together to buy food and pay the bills. It's stressful enough to raise a child alone, now add not knowing if you have enough $ to pay the bills and keep a roof over their head, clothes on their back and shoes on their feet. You selfishly whine about how this affects you life? Really? You walked away. You dont get to have a do over cuz your life isn't working out perfect. Man up

FOR STARTERS, YOU CAN ALWAYS TELL WHEN IT IS A WOMEN TALKING BECAUSE THEY WANT TO TELL THE MAN TO STOP COMPLAINING AND PAY THE SUPPORT. BTW NOT ALL MEN ARE DEADBEATS...WOMEN ARE TOO AND JUST AS BAD. I KNOW BECAUSE I RAISED MY SON WHO IS AN ADULT NOW. SO THOSE WOMEN WHO ALWAYS HAVE A COME BACK SHUT UP. FLORIDA IS MESSED UP IF THERE IS A FATHER THAT WANTS TO BE APART OF THE CHILDS LIFE AND THE MOTHER WANTS TO PLAY TUG-A-WAR...AND A MAJORITY OF YOU WOMEN DO...STOP IT IT ONLY HURTS THE CHILD ...YOU WANNA PREACH TO TAKE CARE OF THE CHILD BUT YOU PLAY THESE GAMES. I HAVE TWO GIRLS I GET THEM OVERNIGHTS...I SPEND TIME WITH THEM...I PAY MORE THEN I WAS ORDERED...AND THEIR MOTHER IS LOOKING FOR MORE...ALSO TRYING TO GET THE COURTS IN POLK COUNTY TO LET THEM MOVE OUT OF STATE WITH HER BOYFRIEND AND HIS FAMILY AND KIDS IN ANOTHER STATE...WHY? BECAUSE SHE CLAIMS ITS WHATS BEST FOR THE CHILDREN...SHE WANTS TO MARRY HIM...SO SHES TAKING ME BACK TO COURT TO RAKE ME AND MOVE...SO DO ANY OF YOU MOTHERS THAT ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING F**KED UP TO SAY ..HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT THIS ...LIKE THE MOTHER IS SCREWED UP

If you have no job, no car & no place to live how is it you have internet to lash out at people like me who are not the reason for any of your problems? The State of Florida just like all of the other States is not going to pay the $10, 000. for the DNA test to prove that the same child that you claimed was your child at birth & for however many years that child was your little tax deduction up to the point that the mother of the child divorced you was awarded custody & you were court ordered to pay child support. Stop complaining about child support & do something about it like get a job & pay a lawyer to go back to court & get a judge to force the mother to make the child available for DNA testing & be willing to pay for the DNA testing since you will be responsible for paying that bill.

I have been charged child-support for 9 years and never knew it! Polk County Florida has racked up $24, 872 in child-support without me ever being DNA tested or informed of any child! I was pulled over for a bad tail light and boom! I'm on my way to jail and labeled a runner given 6 months in jail.I get out(lost my job, car, place to live, everything, with no where to go) told my driving privilege's are revoked till my rearages are paid $24, 872, I'm given 30 days to come up with 10% of total which is $2480 with no where to live, no job, no car, no license if i did have a car, no nothing! How fair is this? women(not all but most) get mad at the man and abuse the system using it to I'mpose revenge against the man! They call everyday, lie, and do whatever for money! who is looking out for the payers? No one and Polk County makes a killing on locking people up! $50 book-in, 4 dollars a day and upon release they give you 30 days to pay.If you don't you get locked up again and the charges are added to the others. Its a revolving door of money for them and totally illegal! Its not a crI'me to not be able to pay a debt! But they break the law and get paid to do it! so what is a man to do but move away and try to survive else where?

LET ME TELL EVERYONE HOW BROKE THE SYSTEM HERE IN FLORIDA IS...ONE THING EVERYONE HERE NEEDS TO REALIZE IS NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU GET BEHIND IN CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS DUE TO LOSS OF JOB, SICKNESS, OR WHATEVER THE STATE CHARGES INTEREST ON EVERY PAYMENT MISSED. SO LETS SAY YOU FALL BEHIND 4000.00 THAT BILL NOW COMES 10000. WOW HOW WE SHOULD PAY A STATE FOR HAVING A CHILD ON THEIR SOIL, AND BY THE WAY THE INTEREST, DOES NOT GO TO THE MOTHER, BUT THE STATE. AT ONE TIME I FELL BEHIND, AND THE STATE SAID I OWED 6100 DOLLARS, AFTER 10 YEARS. WELL I PAID IT OFF IN FULL, AND 2 YEARS LATER GOT A NOTICE TO APPEAR IN COURT FOR ARREARAGES WHEN NONE WAS OWED. I PAID 1580 DOLLARS FOR AN ATTORNEY, AND THEN THE STATE THREW THE CASE OUT, BUT NOW I'M OUT OF 1580.

Could'nt have said it better myself mom of4, sounds to me like he ran away to avoid paying any Child Support at all on that child he helped to make and now he just wants sympathy, The only sympathy I have is for the child of this dead beat daddy who is most likely better off without this jerk, sad that he blames everybody but himself for the fact that he helped to create a life that he does'nt even love or care enough to support, What is his Child suppose to live on- Hope? Wake Up Dead Beat Daddy it takes two to make a baby & If you were any kind of man at all you would be helping to support your offspring since you clearly enjoyed making him, then its time you slither out from under that rock your hiding under and man up & pay your Child Support.

When she did or didn't tell you is irrelevant. She obviously tried to support this child on her own for some time.Do you really think that $375 every two weeks is even half of the total cost of raising that poor child.I am a single mother of four with one in college, that's my grocery bill in a week. You stated that Florida can go back two years from established paternity, and you are that far behind?Hmm...Well it seems to me that you are one of those "Dads" that just like complaining about child support and how some woman is bleeding you dry, instead of thinking about how you could help your child, which I noticed you never mentioned, nor did you mention visitation. If she's so horrible, why didn't you try to get custody?Exactly what was your point about whether she's had an abortion? So what, grow up and man up!

Florida Child Support Paternity Test

The State of Florida has my husband on child support for a child that has not been determined is his. He has not had a DNA test. The state has been locking him up on and off and will even take my money when I file my taxes if I don't file injured spouse. I can't believe they took the word of this women. The boy is fifteen years old. When he goes to hearings for this, the lady that is conducting the hearings refuses to let him say anything. He tells her that he has not had a paternity test but she doesn't listen. I don't understand why I can go in the court room with him when the fact is, if he does not pay, they try to take my money.

Florida Child Support Child Support Enforcement

I have four children the first childs father didn't pay child support till she was 13 she's 18 now and he has only ever paid 80.00 a month I have requested several times for them to please appeal for more and the worker tells me they can't find him... Um then how is he paying every month? My 12 year olds father gets weekend custody but, didn't start paying till she was 11 and he pays 160 a month and no back child support was ordered. I now have twins with the father who abandoned us... to move back with his mother in Massachusetts. I talked him into coming back and trying to work it out... meanwhile I brought him in for DNA testing knowing he might try and leave again, needless to say he did, but, they refused to do it and said we had to do it in Mass. Now he's hiding at his mom's house they say they have sent the DNA test there but there's nothing else they can do! I don't believe it I wrote a letter to Mass child support department and they started to work with me ...They actually answer their phones, But when I talked to my Florida Rep. he practically threatened me telling me I was not to call them that I had to go through him! Well, this is rediculous I am very ill with Chrons right now and haven't been able to hold a job due to the illness and it is impossible to live on 240.00 a month we recieve food stamps but nothing else...I have begged a pleaded for help they don't give a crap about these children and I am living in poverty... This is rediculous I am trying to raise 4 girls with little to no help I am educated and have been the soul provider for my children. Please any suggestions I cannot raise twins with no father and no support, I have to find some help. Any solutions please email me [protected]@yahoo.com

My ex has paid some of the time but never the full amount that was court ordered. In 2006 he moved to New York and stopped paying altogether. It took almost 2 years for the State of Florida to adopt my order from another state and then get New York to honor it. He was court ordered to pay $1125 per month and then 1 month after they garnished his checks he got the state of New York to reduce his payments to $200 per month because the State of Florida had emancipated my son on his 18th birthday which was 6 months prior to his graduation. My ex failed to respond or appear to three court hearings and now has moved back to Florida and when he missed making 2 months worth of payments the state of New York started garnishing him for over $1500 a month and so he filed for a modification and we are waiting on a hearing. The State of Florida contacted New York and severed their relationship because he was in Florida but New York failed to notifiy his employer to stop garnishement. Two days after the first check was late I went into the local office and they were supposed to call his employer but waited for 7 days before they did. When they heard back from the employer that the money had been sent to the State of New York they waited some more and told me that the State of New York would send the money back to his employer and the employer now knew to send it directly to Florida. Wrong! The State of New York refunded the money directly back to my ex. I could write a book on how much the State of Florida has screwed up every step of this process. My children are grown and I am just looking to get paid back aprox $60, 000 that is owed to me but I cannot imagine dealing with the State of Florida if my children's lives depended on it. Knowing what I know now about everything they do - or don't do I would never let them represent my children. The system in Florida is seriously flawed. The people working the system don't care that your children are starving. My only suggestion would be to not continue to put yourself and your children through hell and move to Utah and go on welfare.
