Got brochure in mail from Fitness USA to call them and set up appointment to come in and talk to them about my lifetime membership made appointment on Monday Sept. 29, 2014 at 3;30 when i arrived i was told my membership was no longer any good and would have to purchase new membership if i wanted to continue coming there to work out . my husband and i bought three lifetime memberships years ago and when u buy lifetime it means exactly that lifetime even though a new company has taken over i think fitness usa should still honor our lifetime memberships

I called a few months ago and was told that the lifetime membership was good and would be honored. Now I am told Fitness USA has changed their name and sold the company. Members who purchased LIFE TIME MEMBERSHIPS should have been contacted and these Lifetime contracts should be honored. A Class Action Lawsuit is next...

Hi there. I was also burnt by fitness USA. I would really appreciate any information on a class action lawsuit. I want to get these a holes. They close down the gym and left me high and dry after paying $1000 for a lifetime membership I would really appreciate any help or leads. Thank you very much, Chris H

Lifetime memberships at Fitness USA (and other gyms) were legit - like 20 - 30 yrs ago, when thet actually had to honor those contracts. But not anymore! These flim flam outfits seized that term assuming that people hearing about those (in those days, actually, for real), lifetime memberships would cough up the money. Sometime in the 90's these outfits began to change ownership like every two years or so (but I'm sure it's still the same dago mafia owning these businesses) and that's where you and (I can't imagine how many other people) got fooled into this "lifetime" thing. There is no such thing anymore for all intents and purposes - hasn't been for years.

You've been had. You have no recourse - they make sure of that. Just forget it.

Invest in some home gym equipment. You'll be way better off. Almost all of these gyms are nothing more than a easy access to your credit card. Read the other complaints on this site. You'll catch on.
