Fitness Equipment Depot Worldwide / Fitness Plus review: Material breach of contract

Beware of the company named Fitness Equipment Depot Worldwide. It also goes by several other names including Fitness Plus, ZKJ Fitness Inc., etc. The company owner is John Greeley who resides in California but the company operates out of Long Island, NY. The company is an eBay seller and uses the Internet for most of its business. Do not be mislead by its eBay rating.

The company has over 30 complaints registered with the Suffolk County, NY Better Business, innumerable complaints on various Internet blog websites, and the Suffolk County, NY District Attorney is well aware of the company and its owner.

I ordered $17, 000 of specific Medx rehabilitation/fitness equipment. I was told the pieces were in stock and would be reconditioned and delivered to my home within 2 months. Inexplicably the company could NOT produce the Medx pieces except for one which upon arrival was missing some parts and had some damage. A manager in the company confided in me that the typical mode of operation of the company is to draw customers into contract by advertising pieces the company does not even possess. If the company cannot locate the specific pieces cheaply then it will stubbornly try to sell the buyer what pieces it does possess which are typically far inferior in quality.

The owner John Greeley will become indignant if held accountable, he'll make promises that go unfulfilled, blame-shift, discount verifiable complaints, rationalize wrongdoing, and seemingly believe his own rhetoric.

There are many re-manufactured commercial fitness equipment companies out. Seemingly only a handful are genuinely reputable. I can attest that Elite Fitness Products (Dave Karsten) in Cincinnati, Ohio and Regeneration Equipment (Ken Kepler) in Gainesville, Florida are honest men running honest companies. Be warned! Stay away from Fitness Equipment Depot Worldwide/Fitness Plus, ZKJ Fitness et al.
