I have been receiving several calls from "Fraud Investigations" for a company called "Financial Affairs". I spoke to a male, Brian Robertson, who stated that way back in [protected] I defaulted on a payday loan from a company called "National Payday". I have never heard of this company nor accepted any type of payday loan. He was adamant on me confirming my address, DOB and SSN, which I did not do. Said to pay $1500.00 or a warrant will be issued for my arrest. He tried to "see what he could do to take some of the interest off!". After asking him what company he was from, he said twice, with the fraud department. I said NO, the name of the company you represent. He said "Financial Affairs". I asked him where the company was located and he said "all over". I informed him I was going to do my own investigating and he said get back right away or he will proceed with a warrant. Someone that represents a legal or financial company or institution would have had some training on customer service and ways to articulate. He kept saying "uh" and "um" between every word and talked over me not answering any of my questions with a valid answer. Beware out there. It is a shame people do this to us HONEST people that earn our money LEGALLY!!

"Said to pay $1500.00 or a warrant will be issued for my arrest."

This is a scam! Not paying a debt is a civil matter not a criminal one. Never give anyone your personal info on the telephone.
