Filmlair.com / Film World Media fraud

Hello,

I want to tell you that I have been under fraud on my visa card since February 26, 2016 and today I knew this. This card I stopped withdrawing on it since December 2015 because I want to return every thing I withdrew to the account. I traveled to work abroad and kept this card with me as emergency. Today I made a mini statement inquiry and what I have found is that my card has been used online since May 26, 2017 and directly I have called my bank and told them that I have been subjected to a fraud and I stopped the card. The bank told me that according to their system I was under fraud since February 26, 2016.

Now my question is how I can return all my money back to my account?

Every 26th of the month since February 2016 49.95 USD dollars were taken from my card. Also my wife will go tomorrow to the bank to file a complaint that will be sent to VISA and also o want your help to return my money the soonest.

Filmlair.com / Film World Media Movie subscription

I mistakenly subscribed to Filmlair back in Feb 2016 only to pass their 5 day trial period and thus to be subsequently charged £35 for 2 months.

I did however contact them pointing out that I had in fact not looked at any movies as some evidence of the fact that had likely mistakenly entered this contract.

This they accepted ending my subscription and refunding me all monies charged.

Funds were removed from my credit card on 24th march 2016 for 35.19 plus 0.97p for a non-sterling transfer. these were not authorised and would like these funds returned

Filmlair.com / Film World Media Unauthorized charge

i have been billed 63.40 for conveyencing fee's.. what the hell. I have never been onto this sight. Tried to sign up to get a movie yet when signed up after advertising you had the movie. The movie you didn't have and cant log in ... never logged in . So you wrote back to me explaining it was free trial for 5 days and then needed to be concealed or fee's applied. How would i know that my registration was successful if you had never sent me a confirmation letter. and i have not been able to log in.. .
There fore one would think. bugger this it isn't working and never did sign up. as heard nothing.? and got no where. I have never used this and will never. Have asked to de-register myself and card from system. And if there is not a re-fund given with in the week this will be reported as fraud and will take intervention. This is no stress to me and have done it before with ease and success. This is not a functioning above board business . You can see i have never used it nor have you sent any mail allowing me to know that registration even happened. not being able to log in implies that it didn't .

Filmlair.com / Film World Media Unauthorized credit card charges

Our Mastercard account has been debitated for about +/- € 50 by filmair.com, though we never subscribed at that site, and we surely never commended anything at that site.
Now how can I eventually annulate an eventual subscription ( which we did'nt make!) and have a refund of our money?
We never haved received a bill or an e-mail of that company.

I was charged 63, 77$ from this company when I have not authorized it.
Upon subscribing I had to give a credit card number but it clearly stated that it was not going to be charged.

I would like to know why my credit card is still charged with 46, 62 € (on the 10th of March...), unless I have already stop any operation since long ago.
Apparently some piece of information was lost, and I didn't have the chance to contact you directly by phone 'cause I'm in Italy. Please give me some information to stop the draining, as I'm not using any service from you, and I've never had the opportunity to use any of your services (Download films...).

My husband signed up for a 5 day free membership and choose the basic plan to go into effect after the 5 days. We knew 1.03 would be charged to our card and then the basic fee if we did not cancel. 4 days later 49.95 was charged to our account (which is their largest package). When I called in I was treated rudely and they would not reverse the charges. BEWARE if you choose to a trial with this company!

Filmlair.com / Film World Media Refund requested

Hello,
I sent a request for a refund to you some days ago after just recently finding 3 monthly amounts of a little more than GBP 30.00 deducted from my bank account (not from my credit card).
I received a replying stating that I had signed up for a free 5 day offer and as I had not cancelled it, the deductions were made.
I honestly do not recall signing up and I Never watch movies online.
Anyway, I have just attempted to log in with the word I use almost all of the time on other sites (not movies).
Your email reply tells me that I can watch for a further 3 months for free but I haven't even watched anything at all ! In fact, my computer cannot even show or download movies !
You must have my name on file (for some reason) and therefore my bank information, a bank in the UK that I seldom use as I live in Japan.
I insist on having a refund rather than contacting my bank on what appears to me to be fraud.
Your email to me was received on 2nd Sept. but I cannot find a client number.

After being told that I won (being 100th visitor), I must sign up to watch one (1) month free movie and my credit card would not be charge. Seven days later, I went into my account and discovered that I was charged US$1 and then US$49.95. Even though they had my email address no message was sent to it. It was after being billed this $49.95 that I went to Filmlair.com and notice something coming up about premium and regular subscription. After telling me that I have one month free movie to watch they went ahead and billed me. I even tried bringing up a movie and the page hang up. I cancelled the subscription. This is total rip off! I want back my money.

After being subjected to Fuad I decided to check my card statements more throughly I find since July 14 an amount each month had been taken by Filmlair I don't remember signing up for this and I'm sure I would not have done so without cancelling it again. I think this must be some sort of a scam that I unfortunaly fell into. I have now reported it and had the payments stopped.

I can remember signing up once for the trial period. I was quite happy with the fact that I wouldn't be charged as long as i didn't buy anything. I checked my credit card statements regularly to see if this was the case. I was happy to see that it was...UNTIL out of the blue over 15 months later there is a random charge on my credit card account for 49.95 US so with the currency exchange it cost me over 63 dollars, PLUS the bank charged me a currency conversion fee on top of that for 8 dollars so all up they have ROBBED me of 72 dollars of my hard earned money for their little scam. AND it seems that they hold onto the information and will debit your account at random intervals just for some extra cash. If your not diligent in checking your statements all the time you could get a random charge. These people are robbing people of money and not providing a service, they set up this little scam as a licence to print money for themselves. Don't trust this site. I have contacted my bank and asked them to block anymore payments to these people and to try and recover the money they stole. They won't be getting another cent form me. ###ERS!

Looking for specific movie, filmlair showed it as a they have the movie, signed, gave credit card, filmlair said no charges for 5 days as trial, couldn't find movie, called cancelled a few minutes after signing in, and confirmed that my credit card won't be charged, but my credit card WAS charged. Had to call again and I am being confirm that the charge will be reversed. I hope they do it because I believe they are BIG LIARS

Filmlair.com / Film World Media Unknown visa charges on my credit card

I am very annoyed that I cannot seem to be able to make contact with film lair as I cannot get into my account. I urgently need to make contact as I see on my credit card statements that I am being charged US49.49 monthly for nothing. I did register with them hoping that I would be able to download some series of a TV serial that I had missed. However I have never ordered anything from this site so why am I being charged monthly for nothing? I have a problem with downloading large files as I only have a mini iPad and I want to cancel my subscription any and want a refund for the charges that have gone through on my credit card.
Please respond urgently!

We discovered an email in our spambox and we discovered that
without our permission totally 7 times 49, 95 USD is deadened.

We ordered them to stop 1st of may 2016, today 5th of May we reminded them to stop this immediately. And to pay back $ 349, 65.

We informed Visa Cards about this.

Until now we haven't heard from them.

nb we had this complaint also with company pcplayz. The answered within 24 hrs and within 2 days they payed back everything.

Please what is going on. I am being billed some amounts small regularly and another at $69.30 . I was looking to get a movie a month ago 'The Big Blue" signed up and read the details that this was not going to be charged to... free sign up.is all i did. And Then the movie wasn't even available.
Please remove my credit card details and a refund is required. This will be reported.

I subscribed for a free 30 days free plan on sky streaming and now I have found charges to my credit car from filmlair.com. They were unauthorised by my bank, but this is not only really upsetting: It's ILLEGAL!

I have emailed filmlair.com 5 times so far. They charged me for a movie, and then sent in its place, another movie that I never ordered. I have tried many times to correct this order and NO response, what so ever. They even charged me for the higher priced movie and sent a cheaper movie.

I was informed by my bank - via Messenger - about an unauthorized charge of 45.8 Euros on my credit card on May 12th, 2019. The charge came from Filmlair.com, an entity where I don´t even have an account. I demand a full refund.

TOTAL SCAM! I've had exactly the same experience as everyone seems to have had. Realised they didn't have what they said they had, attempted to login but couldn't, clicked on forgotten details...no new password sent! Realised months later I'm being charged by the robbing gits! Still couldn't login to cancel so rang credit card company to report them as a scam and stop the regular requests for payment! I cannot stress enough...DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THESE ROBBING SCAM ARTISTS!

I did a search on a TV show I wanted to watch, and it came up that Filmlair had it, so I signed up for the 7 day free trial. When I got thru the signup and into their site, turns out they only have movies (horror and porn was all I found). I went immediately and cancelled the trial, but have had 2 months charges show up on my card, don't even know where to start getting it back, as I can't find any contact info on them.

got my bank statement today which shows that filmflair.com have took £29.80 from my account, i have never signed up to this site and dont know how the hell they have got my bank details, my bank is on the case tho to persue them and stop refunf my balance and stop them taking further money from my account, i had never even her of them till i say them on my statement.

I was looking for a site to watch a movie from. I started the registration process on Filmlair, but did not complete it, i.e.: I did not press the button the authorise the transaction! I've just been debited £30.39, circa US$65.00 and I'm really angry about it. I wish I were well off, perhaps it wouldn't matter so much, but I'm not and now that that money is gone from my account, I have no money to buy food for the weekend! I've read the complaints here, and I'd love to complain, but as I'm based in the UK, I'm basically stuffed! I'd swear on here, but that might offend, so have decided to do this instead: F!@£$%g B^&*(@£$s, may they rot in hell. They say that what goes around, comes around...wish I could be there to see it, I'd cheer; more than that I cannot say as I could end up in trouble :)

Sure there is a trial period, 5 days only, then you are automatically charged for a full month. Next there are 1.39 charges every few days for management fees. Or something? I must admit though the 1.39 charges got my attention and egged me on to see what was going on, hence I canceled my membership. While on the trial I was unable to download a movie. Nor was I able watch on my iPad.
When I canceled, it took effect immediately, where now with only one week of membership the site does not refund, charges another .99 to cancel on the internet and keeps your three weeks of paid for membership with no service.
No brainer this site is a cash grabber, verging on legitimate rules and is not going to find itself on any favourite site lists. Save your movie dollars for a more user friendly site. Sorry Film liar you get two thumbs down from this monkey, enjoy my money!

Same for me but I didnt notice the charges until today. Found the site looking for a video to help my son do a social project in school. signed up expecting to be able to download or watch the video that was reported to be viewable, and then found that it was not. Should have read the fine print I guess. Have been charged 49.95 for the last 9 months without knowing or using the service. Called the number and the voice prompts are all about the no refund policy and how to cancel. I am furious right now. No email notice of charges, no mailed out notice of charges, no nothing - except for a ding on my account with their name on it for last 9 months. No respectable business operates like this and Filmlair.com is a shameless despicable business that makes money by misinformation and theft.

i'm very upset with this site they just took the money out of my account without my consent which should not be they should ask if after the trial period if you want to continue then they can deduct what they want they cant deal with person like this and i want a refund... The number they listed to call for refund don't work

I seldom watch films but wanted to see Inception upon recommendation. Spent over 1 hour trying to stream free view of Inception. surprised they wanted my personal debit card details. Did that. After much trial and error complication got on line and did serach for Ineption...No luck. Browsed through films on offer. All cheap nasty films I would never ever watch...Yuk, obivously not my type of site AT ALL. then I read comments of people being scammed and having money taken out of their account. I phoned helpline and after long wait listiening to unnecessary info finally was transferred to an agent to discover they were closed til 10-10 EST. Oh dear. I am really disappointed...this was going to be my little treat., I even made popcorn. spent the hour+ wasting my time instead of Relaxing and uplifting/learning with a quality film. and now I am worried I have been scammed. I shall phone back and go through the rigmoraole again because I recall one option was to cancel. I only joined on the strength that they were indeed offering view of INCEPTION... and assumed one could view a library or browse for selected titles --not at all ! Looks like just a collection of the cheapest nastiest films., feels very unwholesome ! I signed up FREE for a trial period. I think I was foolish and naive. I shall ring back now and hope for the best. Will also phone my bank in the morning to see what they have to say about this situ. and how to pre-empt being robbed. I would love to be able to download free high quality and classic films...I guess it's back to the public library...or read a book !

I have now had x2 months charges returned to my Barclaycard Account. I was much delighted and rang my Barclaycard operator to make sure I was reading my statement correctly. I was informed that Barclaycard's investigations team looked into this and helped to get back my money so Well Done Barclaycard and Thank you FilmLair for being reasonable in this instance.
