Filene's Basement review: Discrimination based on race and sexual orientation

Earlier this week i was shopping on 9-28-07 and this sales guy was gross and treated me with zero respect. He was beyond rude. He practically stalked me he asked if i wanted help and i said no but he wouldnt leave me alone it was as if he was obsessed with me. He gave me the creeps. He was lazy and didnt want to do his job, he said you have looked at the jeans 5 times and messed them up which i hadnt you can look at the store video. I noticed he didnt bother the black guys. Maybe they dont want gay people shopping there, i mean i dunno. This is supposed to be an upscale store where people leave you alone this wouldnt have happened at saks or nordstrom or neimann or bloomingdales or local bunlimited or local shine collective or cloud 9 or urban outfitters even. I was never so insulted in all my life. I boguth 2 pairs of jeans and chatted with a real nice cashier-eula about designer denim and we both got to talking about the different designers and i was like i have 34 pairs of jeans etc and so i handed the bag to my mom and i told the cashier i was gonna look for more jeans this rude ignorant vile lewd crude man told me to get away from the jeans when i was looking thru them excuse me but i dont wear a huge size which was up the top and i dont wear ecko and ghetto wear. The customer is always right and he said you haven't bought anything and this is your 5th time here at the jeans this all happened between 715 and 800 pm. I was like i have spent thousands of dollars here which i have i bought 500 in jeans last saturday(10 pairs)i have the receipt and i bought several hundred of merchandise out hunt valley filenes on sunday. So i bought another pair of jeans and then i asked for manager to file complaint but manager was busy (too busy to even come and speak to a paying customer) so they sent another man derek(who by the way did nothing but stand there )and this guy (dale-rude ignorant sales associate who treated me in a way one should never treat a customer)never apologized and started yelling at me in front of them and lying saying i messed up the clothes but i am beyond apology and may just sue this company for damages i was treated awfully you dont treat your customers that way and i feel as if it was a hate crime, i being a white gay male. He acted like i didnt deserve to be there or to be buying high end premium denim . I think he was seriously jealous of me. I even ended up leaving my receipts there. When one goes shopping they shouldn't have to answer to sales associates like who the hell is he and who made him god. He is nothing to me and i just wanted him to leave me alone. He harrassed me from the minute i entered the store till the moment i left i swear i was racially profiled. It is racial discrimination i believe for he didnt treat the black guys like that. I like shopping there and other big stores so that people dont bother me with can i help you and if you say no they should take a hint. He was too lazy to fix the jeans which werent fixed to start with not everyone is a size 36 therefore they have to move the big clothes to get to the smaller ones and i didnt need him to do it for me. He asked what i was looking for when i said just looking and honestly it is/was none of his business for he wasnt paying for it and if he dont wanna do his job perhaps he should get one sitting on his butt. Dont worry i am calling them as well as contacting corporate headquarters tomorrow morning for i dont know who that guy think he is and i swear he should be fired. It is not like i was gonna name just the clothes that i was interested in which are only the premium designer jeans in my size. As a matter of fact while i was in the store a man asked if they had 32 by 30 or something similar to that and they were like no when i believe the size 32 jeans are either 30 or 32 inches in length (most the best jeans dont list length )that goes to show how helpful the sales people are. I guess dale just wanted his friends to buy the bestest jeans and me get crap grosso ones. I still cant get over how they couldn't even send a manager over when you know they should have and were supposed to. I called corporate and filed complaint and called the store and talked to the manager suzanne and told her to pull the video and she said i should never have been treated like that and the person with corporates 3rd party company said dale needs serious help with his customer service skill. Lastly this is filenes it has a history of people with gowns changing in the aisles and all people trying to hide clothes for next time and is not known for being the most tidy of shops i mean its not a museum for goodness sakes and i didnt damage any clothing in any way shape or form and my feelings have been hurt very much by this incident and i dunno if i can ever shop at any filenes again let alone this one.
