FileLate unhelpful online customer support

The year atop all my 2016 Federal Forms on the PDF FileLate.com emailed me were blocked out and illegible. Online Customer Support Representative "Amber" initially dismissed my concerns, and claimed all 2016 FileLate.com Federal forms had the same problem so it shouldn't be an issue for the IRS to receive an illegible tax return. Amber later claimed there was no 2016 Federal Form problem visible on her end, and rather than answer my question about how I can download my PDF from the FileLate.com website or where I could locate it on the FileLate.com website, she ignored my questions and concerns and insisted "for security reasons" that I call to speak on the phone to resolve the matter - or she would have them call me.
When I spoke to Peter in customer service, he did not ask me any security questions to verify my identity. Peter stated that the person handling my return would not be in the office until later today, and would re-email me my PDF later.
Ultimately, FileLate.com charged me $99 for an ineligible PDF of my 2016 tax returns, and online support incited customer frustration and disappointment.

You cannot separate the W2 forms as it is a given, that whenever we file paper returns, we need to include copies of the income forms that we reported on the tax returns

FileLate Please save your money!!

I paid Filelate to get my W2 copy and they took my money very fast but did not give me my w2! I contacted them so many times and all they said was that they remember and I don't have to remind them about that.
These people are highly unprofessional and they treated me terribly with a total disrespect. When I called they always told me to wait oh hold and I had to wait forever!
Then I demanded my money back and they said that it was already too late for that and if I had something to say I should have contacted their manager. Asked their managers contacts and they said that they were not able to give me that kind of information. What a joke! They are true liars and cheaters!

FileLate Copy of W2

I used this site and paid for a copy of a W2 that I couldn't get through the IRS website as it was older. I paid for the service on filelate.com website. It has been 18 days and I have never received any correspondence from them. The phone number is just a answering machine and the "chat" option just doesn't even work. I am very upset that I entered very sensitive information to these people who are obviously ILLEGAL FRAUD SCAMMERS. This is unacceptable and this company needs to be shut down by the BBB.

FileLate Tax services - alert consumers beware

11-9-15 I requested Managerial escalation regarding misrepresentation pricing of State Taxes for [protected]. I was originally told by one representative it was a manual process at $25.00 for each State Tax Year 2 weeks ago. I called today to obtain further details and assistance and was told the State Tax years cost is $49.95 for any years prior to 2012. I spoke with a representative name Brittany and requested supervision she reviewed the file and quoted company policy. I asked her when did the pricing for state tax years change, she said back in April I said that's interesting as I was just quoted $25.00 two weeks ago. I requested the "Manager" review recorded calls and agent notations for validations on the erroneous information I was told and she was persist with quoting company policy. I explained to her I wanted to speak with some one over her and she stated the "Owners" don't speak with the public. So I question there are only TWO people handing customer inquires and she said yes. Again, these is a clear sign this is NOT a reputable company that provides escalation and true customer service. I requested follow and proof and she reiterated company policy. I explained this is hear say and very counterproductive at this point. The "Manager" still hadn't taken the time to accept responsibility for the miscommunication nor review the caller records, notations etc. There are only a handful of resources to handle customer affairs, and don't expect the company to accept any accountability for their wrong doing/ I will follow up with the BBB and Office of Attorney General Consumer Office Read the review, you will notice a clear pattern of poor customer service, unprofessional and discrepancies. CONSUMER BEWARE

FileLate Price for service not quoted on website

I completed my 2013 tax return on Filelate.com last night and was ask to submit $99.00 at the end to finish the process. I thought that was a little steep for a simple return. I called today 8/17/2015 to get answers on the pricing.
Miss Brittney who claims to be the supervisor hung-up on me twice i called back stating that the quotes on the website prices were way under the price I was being charged. She stated that software prices increased and the prices were upped each year. I asked does everyone who file for 2014 pay $99.00 she said yes. Then after more conversation she stated the price depends on if you are single, married, head-of-house hold etc. I said so everyone don't pay the same price. I ask to speak to someone else and she said their were no one else in the office but I could hear other people on the phone in the background.
I asked these questions because I have filed with filelate.com before and never had a problem with price or otherwise. But this person on the phone did not come over as professional or knowledgeable about the business.
I ask the name of the company CEO and the address to contact the headquarters. She said she could not give out that information. I finally got an address out of her but I don't trust this contact. Filelate is going to lose a lot of business this way.

It seems to me that someone who works for a company should know the company's correct name when talking on the phone.
Brittney answered the phone "late file" I said I am trying to contact FileLate.com. Then she left the phone for 5 mins. and it hung-up. I called back

FileLate Fraud

Could not get forms after taxes were completed. Then no one answer the phones or emails. The IRS sent me a form stating that I fill out a power of attorney with a signature on it requesting my information. I never sign it, there was also a signature from an attorney name Kumar Paturi in New York. He signed it as well. They tried to get my information from IRS. Thank God IRS asked needed something else or they would have done God knows what with my information. I have to file a fraud alert now with the credit bureaus, needless to say I never got my taxes back. I made a complaint with BBB. They did credit me my money back but I have bigger concerns now. They have all my information in their system. BEWARE. There are so may complaints against them all over. I should have done my research before this, I usually use H&R Block. But I needed an older year return done.

They are a total scam. They take your money and provide nothing in return. All "customer service" is automated, nobody answers any phone lines or returns any calls, they just take your money and run. Buyer beware, this is a total scam operation.

I got not product, copies of 1099's, but was charged twice to my credit card. Stay away! There is not was to contact these "persons" who operate out of Las Vegas, that should have been a clue. I'm working with my bank now in an attempt to recover funds.

FileLate Awful Services

These people are awful, do NOT fall for it. First, they make it sound like you CAN file your taxes online for past years, do not find out that you cannot until after you pay. That's when you find out that you actually have to print out and mail it. Second, they will tell you that your forms will be available within 24-48 business hours, good luck with that one. At the three day mark, still did not have my forms and if you try to contact any form of "customer service", e.g. using the online support tool at the their site or submitting a help ticket...you might as well wait for the grass grow. All you will get is either put an online que waiting for some "agent" who will not chat with you, or if you do get someone, you'll be told to call a number for more help. Same thing with online emailing or help ticket. Awful, unfriendly, totally off the scale company...they will charge you and you will be stuck waiting, waiting...they WILL send you an email letting you know that if you spend "X" $$$ more they will RUSH process you to the head of their limbo line.. In case you didn't know, you can file late returns with Turbo Tax and other services and not have to pay a dime to do it. RUN FROM THIS SCAM of a company.

FileLate They have hidden fees

I filled two forms on the website www.filelate.com, which were connected with my taxes. I saw that they would charge me for it for $55. After that I checked my account and it turned out that they charged me for completely different sum. They took $107. WTF? I sent couple of emails to the support team, but still I haven’t received any reply. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Can you provide any good piece of advice?

FileLate Sent the wrong W-2

File Late sent me the wrong W-2 and expected me to pay for THERE mistake. Furthermore, the customer service representative was rude and unhelpful. Moreover, after the original order was placed, File Late sent a completely ambiguous confirmation email - simply stating that an order had been placed, nothing order specific. I do a lot of business on-line and I have to say that this is the 1st time I have placed an order and received a confirmation notice that was so totally vague. It is beyond flawed business. I will never use there services again.

FileLate This site was an absolute pain in the @$$

This site was an absolute pain in the @$$. The price is fine but the crap you have to put up with isn't worth it. I had to file 2009 and 2010. After re-entering a lot of info that the site failed to save, I get bounced around and thrown into limbo for a couple days while they "process" it only to receive notice that I have to send them some form I've never heard of authorizing them to file for me! And best part? The form has to be faxed or mailed? WTF! I don't think so! Got on their "live chat" only to find out it's some illiterate Indian or a Bot reading a script or something, practically useless, but I FINALLY get them to give me a way to email their bogus authorizing form to them (one of the three suggestions wasn't even true, the other was to fax or mail it which was what I said I didn't want to do! stupid bot...) Anyway, FINALLY get that done and FINALLY get a link to an ACTUAL copy of my 2010 for my records and takes me three reloads of the site to let me download it! Oh, and yeah, my 2009? All they do is fill in a very sloppy 1040 for me to print and mail myself. [censored]es.

FileLate bad quality

These guys are not running a good business.
After paying close to $400.00 for the Lifetime membership, I found out my taxes came out wrong.
I couldn't find the place on their site to deduct my mortgage insurance premiums. I had to find copies of blank 1040's from 2009 and then redo my return by hand.
No refunds available!
It is great that thre is a site where you can do previous year tax returns, but it is not worth the money, and has a lot of bugs to fix.

FileLate Scam

This website is VERY deceptive..it leads you to believe that you are able to e-file late tax returns as far back as 2003 and once you have paid they send you an email stating that you can not e-file 2003 taxes..so I paid to e-file 2004 taxes and they sent me another email stating that I could not e=file 2004 either..(nothing mentioned in first email.) Called company and spoke to a "Clarke" who later changed his name to "Clarence" when speaking to my Husband. Clarke or Clarence would not let me speak, would constantanly interupt me will jabber that he was obviously reading, and or had said the same speech many times, but it was said in a rude monotone fashion...When I asked him to stop talking nearly 10 times in a row, my husband finally got upset and took the phone from me.(thats when :Clarke: said his name was "Clarence". When we asked to speak to a supervisor, he stated, he was the only one we could speak to, then he changed his mind later and said a Supervisor would be the at 4.pm. he and his webpage are a rip off..dont use them

We ordered copies of our 1099s on May 14 and by May 27th still had not received them. We contacted them and left several messages via their messaging system on their website and NEVER received a response. We also utilized their toll free number where you will never get a live person. We finally got a phone response and the person claimed to have no messages from us. The person, Brittany, was rude and very callous. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she stated that no supervisor existed. When I expressed my frustration at their customer service, I was told to go elsewhere, specifically the IRS, if I was not happy. Soon thereafter, while asking a question, I was hung up on. I immediately called the number that appeared in my caller id, and, no surprise, an automated message. I left a message and to this date, no response, no updates, no 1099s. I had to contact my credit card company to get my money back...$160!

I started to use this service and gave out just my e-mail address. I am very wary of giving out my SS#. So I stopped what I was doing and typed in LATE FILE.COM TAX SCAMS and this site popped up. After getting ripped off with this spying on your" spouse cell phone" gadget I don't give out my SS# or send my Credit-card info. The web is like a highway and you don't know who you may run into. Some times the old way is better than a quick fix..and who's watching out for us on line consumers? They need a list of scam companies in a data base .As soon as you type their names in it should say scam behind it!

Yes, I fell prey to this site as well as I am trying to get some work done and needed to file my taxes from last year. Paid 39.97 and received no taxes! Great! Now I am out 39.97 and have given out my financial information.

FileLate totally a ripoff took my40 bucks with no answer

i filed my taxes through this company with them not telling me everything up front in other words the fineprint asked for a refund just to find out it's nonrefundable.

FileLate.com is a TOTAL scam, after I submit and made payment over 15 day ago I 'm still wait.. Try support to call you get is the following massage: "looks like all our agents are tied up right now :( Sorry about that, but please # leave us a message # and we'll get right back".. and you never hear from them..

They hang up on you when policy is questioned, as others have said, rudely interrupt you, speak condescendingly to you, refuse to answer qustions and then of course hang up on you.

If you've written a good review, your either "Clarence Martin" (so called supervisor who also acts under the chat line as "Dominic) acting like a customer. Or you have yet to experience a technical difficulty or problem, because once you do, you will see what rude fraudulent behavior this company really has.

This company has gone completely down hill! I too have used them for over 6 years and their customer service is the absolute worse I have ever encountered! The Manager answers the phone with who is this, One has no idea if they are speaking with dilelate or who. This is private potentially dangerous information if received by the wrong person one would at the very least should be greeted with Hi thank you for calling filelate. Absolute nightmare they are having problems this year but have not informed their customers and are rude when you ask about it. They have definitely lost a customer after all this

Sorry to say I have not received my w2s or 1099s and its been 5 days. I was looking for the chat button they claim to have and could not find it. I called the toll free number and just received a voice mail. I am disappointed because I was hopping to get my w2s and 1099s so I could file my taxes online and be done,

They have hung on me 3 times. My email was hacked by them. they sent out some diet dr crap to all my contacts. Have yet to get a reciept for my 2011 taxes. And again...hung up on three times. Also, when they answer the phone they answer hello...not filelate.com.

I filed late for 2011 and paid for and received my 2011 1099's from filelate.com ... BUT now I am trying to file 2012... late again (this is 2014) and I thought it was safe to use filelate.com again. I was wrong. It has been a month since they took my money. After two weeks I complained and they responded, by both email and voice mail. They said cutbacks at the IRS were responsible for the delays. Another two weeks have gone by. It's been a month now. I complained again and there was silence... no response whatsoever... I believe that filelate.com was at one time a reputable company. They either changed ownership or went to the darkside because now it is one big rip off, a scam, a fraud, crooked... Liars and Thieves! Avoid using filelate.com to get your w-2's or 1099's. You can get them directly from the IRS in less time for FREE!

This company states there is a ticket creator and live chat. Well, I have had the live chat windows emailed to me because there were no operators to answer my call. This is ###. I also created a ticket. My forms were supposed to be available within two business days after I complained, two days later I still have nothing. I'm going to call and put a stop payment on the purchase since they were unable to render services or work with me at all. I wish I had seen this before their website.
