Fidelity Investments cash account ending in 8339

I john cross recently rolled out of my berkshire hathaway automotive 401k in to a fidelity cash account.
I used my debit card to withdraw funds and then a week or so later I tried to with draw money from my account and it was flagged and closed by the fidelity "fraud department"
Requiring me to submit proof of residence. I have a post office box and all my bills credit card statements all go to my po box 2300 story road west irving texas.
The only place my my physical address shows in on my state farm insurance card my texas drivers license and my texas vehicle registration and my voters registration. I have physically taken in these documents in to the southlake texas office and the irving texas office.
I have literally begged for my money faxed documents to a fax number provided.
I explained that I do not have any utilities bills in my name coming to my residence as I live with my wife after moving from houston texas 3 years ago.
I have talked to numerous agents at fidelity and all are sympathetic and apologetic but not results as the "fraud department " is liken to the wizard of oz that does not communicate but broadcasts and is unavailable to contact and tells none of the agents.
I have spoken with brian larson andrew buescher and elliot johnson
I have physically went to the fidelity investments local branches in southlake texas and irving texas taking time off and gas spent over 2 hours on the phone in inopportune times. But this is not an isolated incident as from looking online this has happened to others.
I would like full access to my funds immediately

Fidelity Investments 401k verizon

I called the early part of November 2016 to close out all accounts I have with Fidelity. I was told that my check will be rcvd by the 1st of Dec 2016 but I didn't rcv it. I called and sooke to an Alisia and she said she was my point of contact and I will have my check by Monday, December 6th. I didn't rcv my check si I called in and was viven the run around by several different fedility reps. I finally got on the line with an Asa Weisberg ext 18269 and he said it was a glitch in the system and my check was not processed. I told him i was told that last week and i want my money by Friday. I'm tired of being lied to and mistreated. He began to work with the back office to get my payment. He called me back as he said he would and told me i will have my payment in hand Friday because it was waiting to be picked up. I called Friday morningto get tracking number information because i had to leave and wanted to know the delivery time. The representative would not allow me to speak to him and even after i did the phone verification. I was then transferred to another woman that told me she will not transfer me to the ext i requested because i was not verified then hung up on me. I called again and again and again the David Pauly said no check was cut and he told me i couldn't speak to Asa and i told him he was harrassing me because I've never been asked a series of questions as he was doing. We had a shouting match and i cursed him out then he hung up on me. I called again and was transferred to the fraud department and the mgr name Joan Schramm was and she went through verification again and then apologize for he horrible experience. She was the only one assisting me to get the information I initially called in for...my tracking number...going firward I will decline 401k if it is through Fidelity. You have the worst customer service.

Fidelity Investments employee katelyn hughes

Hello, your employee, Katelyn Hughes, inquired about an apartment I have for rent. She mentioned no prior rental references but she can use Fidelity, her employer as a reference. I had responded we require rental references and good luck in her search. Katelynns response was that I had attitude, was rude, and she is sure my tenants "hate" me. I wanted to spread the word an employee of yours is being unprofessional and rude when trying to use Fidelity as a reference. I have a copy of the email if you need it, and have attached a screen shot of the email. Thank you.

She used her job as a reference and was disrespectful. She doesn't deserve to use Fidelity, and her employer needs to be informed how she conducts herself. I posted original email, no slander here, just truth.

Fidelity Investments hardship withdrawal practices

I originally submitted a request for a hardship withdrawal on 10/20/2016.
I requested my withdrawal online and faxed my documentation in. I provided the exact documentation required. It is now 11/01/2016 and I have had to call to speak with multiple representatives and have received a different reason as to why they will not release the funds. I have requested multiple times to speak with a supervisor and was told no every time. I have submitted more documentation anytime one of the reps told me I needed different info. Now yesterday I was advised they have my docs, but now want me to send it in all together and start the process all over again. This is a hardship for a reason. Time is important and it is my money. I am paying the taxes, I am paying the early withdrawal fees and I am providing the exact documentation the IRS and Fidelity states they require and still nothing. This is the worst service I have ever experienced.

Fidelity Investments new visa credit card

The new credit card rewards are two for each dollar spent, as it was with the earlier American Express card. However, when you redeem the rewards, they do not tell you that the value of the points is half of what it was with the previous card.
Fidelity never discloses this, but allows you find out about it only when you try to redeem your points. Do they think we are stupid? This was deceptive and underhanded. At the very least they should have disclosed this information when they issued the new cards.

Fidelity Investments sep-ira unauthorized withholding 30% on distributions without prior notice

Fidelity changed its tax withholding policy on June 1, 2016 without notifying me. Although I am eligible to a 15% tax withholding rate according to the Canada-USA tax agreement on any distributions from my SEP-IRA account (ending in 4461), Fidelity, without notifying me, withheld, for the first time in the many years I have held this account and made distributions from it, 30% of my distribution for 2016, made on March 28, 2016. Of the distribution amount of $2, 992.06, Fidelity withheld $897.61 (30%).

A completed and duly signed W8-BEN form attesting to my non-resident alien status and Canadian citizenship was sent to Fidelity in December, 2015 for the 15% eligibility under U.S. - Canada Tax Agreement, and was verified to be in my file at Fidelity by Fidelity retirement advisor Matt. However, this agent advised on July 20, 2016, that Fidelity could not "reverse" their action even though their changed policy was applied retroactively.

Through its negligence to inform me of their changed policy, Fidelity is obliging me to file the 1040-NR IRS tax form in April of 2017 in order to get back the 15% withheld, namely $448.80. According to the IRS website, it will take about 6 months before the amount due would be refunded.

As a Canadian citizen, to file a lengthy U.S. income tax form and then wait another 6 months until I receive the amount due from the IRS is not a procedure I agreed to when I opened my account with Fidelity over 10 years ago.

This financial institution has an obligation to notify its customers when it makes policy changes in a timely manner. That was never done. Instead, Fidelity is applying a changed policy made after my distribution, retroactively. Had I known about the change, I could have chosen to roll over my IRA to another financial institution honoring the US tax agreement, withholding the only the 15% .

I have attempted to resolve this matter with the financial institution over several months now, but to date have not received a favorable response. Ms. Judy B [protected] ext. 11919) who was identified as a Fidelity "supervisor" said in a phone conversation on July 20, 2016 that she would provide a response to 2 questions at an unspecified future time:
(a) Will Fidelity honor their agreement and refund the missing amount of my distribution they withheld in March? If not, what is Fidelity's reason for not doing so.
(b) Are there any additional steps I need to take to file a formal complaint within the Fidelity firm?

Rather than answer my two questions, she told me she could not "reverse" the withheld 30% even though it is obvious Fidelity does not owe this to the IRS until 2017. She did not answer either of my two questions above (a and b).

For these reasons, I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am also writing up this report for this website.

Sounds like a bad deal for you. I can't imagine why you can not close out a Canadian account though... Tax issues or something else? If it is really the case as you say it is, then maybe a visit to Canada is your solution. Once in Canada, treat yourself to whatever is left in that account? Good luck.

That would be quite a holiday!

The US government is now into heavy snooping on people's personal bank accounts. In addition, foreign bank accounts are technically illegal for Americans to have (I kid you not). You must report all foreign bank accounts over $10, 000 to the Dept of Defense. Annually. That also means that US banks will not accept deposits of foreign funds.

BTW, your immigration people would not let me in. No reason. I've been over that same crossing 100's of times. The last time I did go across I was interviewed in the immigration office - under a light, no less. Weird, weird, weird. Old white, American-born men of European stock are not allowed in anymore, I guess. Pfft.

Fidelity Investments wire service

I had great difficulties making a time-sensitive wire transfer for a real estate transaction while traveling. I have been in contact with 5 representatives on 5 different occasions simply to get correct wiring procedures and a confirmation of wire transfer that must be submitted in a real estate proposal package. Very weak, incorrect and often conflicting information offered on each occasion and once by the same person (who initially claimed signature medallion required...wrong). I have over $500000k invested with Fidelity and would expect competent service.

Fidelity Investments qdro

I have had to submit my qualified domestic relations order to release 401k monies as part of my divorce settlement 4 times and over 1 year, still have yet to get that dispursement.
Fidelity wants you to use their form to submit and if you dont, they drag out the review procss to up to 60 days .
The QDRO department doesn't have a direct line and when I did call Fidelity, I had to firmly ask to speak to someone and wasnt connected to them, but someone did call me back.
My complaint is that it doesnt take this long to review a QDRO and they are keeping monies that are mine for OVER A YEAR!

Fidelity Investments fidelity closed our account and never returned the money to my bank.

Fidelity Dispute
On Sep 2015 we transfered 250k into the fidelity from my wellsfargo account after we recently sold our house and made our moved to Florida. I proceeded to change my address to a close family friend until our tenant was ready to move out of the condo we had rented. Fidelity froze my account and asked me to come in the branch in Altamonte Springs and verify my information due to the change of address, which I provide my drivers license, social security card, birth certificate, power of attorney, title documents proving the sale of the house and an utility bill for the address where we where receiving our mail. They then decided to close my account for unknown reasons and told me I would have to get wellsfargo to reverse the ACH transfer to the account. I went to the Wellsfargo office and explained the situation to my customer representative Hope Stiles which filed for a ACH dispute which Fidelity proceeded to tell wellsfargo that they where working with me personally to get my funds back which was a complete lie as I wouldn't have pursued such actions if it wasn't for their lack of communication and cooperation to return our money. Over six months later and Fidelity still has our money and has made no attempt to return the funds that where transfer. I am going to file complaints with the pertinent government agencies, SEC, consumer affairs, BBB, The complaint boards, /link removed/ occ.gov, helpwithmybank.gov and every other agency we can so this does not happen to anyone else. We are getting ready to file a lawsuit if they are not willing to fix this issue immediately as we have dealt with enough of this nonsense. It appears that Fidelity is trying to defraud me and my family of our hard earned money and we will not allow that to happened. This company can not be trusted.

I had bad time with check delivery and they did not know about direct transfer to my Oriental Bank Account. A Fidelity manager told me with an e-mail I can get the money in my account. Today I called Fidelity - Mrs. Arland Reyes - told me there is an code input error in my records made by Fidelity. Error is telling I am an employee coming from US transferred to PR (not true). That error will take now 4 to 5 days to fix. I cannot begin a withdrawal process for that Fidelity error. And again this employee does not know I can get transfer directly to my account.

Fidelity Investments unsolicited insurance premium deductions from my ibm pension payments

I filed an appeal for unsolicited insurance premium deductions from my ibm pension payments. Fidelity appeal process seems to me a sham. They did not even assign a number to my appeal. Here is the full story:
On july 1st 2015, I was retired from ibm because my job was transferred to global foundries. I signed-up for medical insurance with my new employer, global foundries. In august 2015 I received a bill for medical insurance premium from fidelity. Fidelity manages ibm services. I called fidelity he following day to inform them that I have medical coverage and declined the ibm medical coverage. I was told that I may receive a subsequent bill which I should ignore (It takes a month cycle to update). I did receive subsequent bills which I ignored as instructed. However on december 2nd, I noticed that my pension payment was reduced by about $1000. So I called fidelity to inquire. I was told it will take 5 business days to investigate why I am being charged for insurance and they will get back to me via phone. After 5 business days, I called again. I was told the investigation is done and it will take 2 more business days to reverse the deductions. 2 days later, I received a call from fidelity rep, who told me that they could not find a proof that I called to decline the coverage. That I should file for an appeal with the ibm plan administrator (Fidelity). So I filed an appeal on december 23, 2015. On january 28, 2016 I received a letter from fidelity that I don't qualify for change of status. My appeal was about the fact that I declined the insurance coverage through ibm managed by fidelity and that fidelity failed to act on it.In the response letter fidelity indicated "although my claim was denied, I have the opportunity to request a review by the ibm pan administrator". I am confused my first appeal was addressed to the ibm pan administrator. Fidelity appeal process seems to me is a sham. I believe fidelity in deducting insurance premium from my pension payment even though ideclined the coverage as soon as I received the first bill, is acting without due process and without transparency.

Fidelity Investments checking savings

I made a deposit on october 6, 2015 at 4pm via the mobile app. I noticed that it hadn't cleared on october 8th which most of my deposits has cleared within two business days. First of all I was told by customer service that the deposit date was october 7, 2015, which leads me to believe that someone made a mistake on the deposit. I am told that my deposit won't clear until october 13, 2015 even though the check has cleared my client's bank account. That is too long for a local check to clear. The customer service rep explained that fidelity is not a bank, however when I was sold on the account that was not the selling point.

Fidelity Investments poor execution, bogus customer service

I entered an order today to buy 100 shares of BZC at $12.80. The stock closed at $12.75, and yet my order was not filled.

When I called Fidelity, after talking to two representatives, and being left on hold for an unreasonable amount of time, I was told that the reason my order was not filled was the bid ask spread was $12.74 to $12.98.

That's ridiculous. The FINRA rule covering this situation is clear:

Best Execution (FINRA Rule 5310) – FINRA requires member firms to find the market with the best price to execute their customer order. OTC Link® ATS and FINRA's OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB) Quotation System are the two recognized inter-dealer quotation systems for facilitating best execution by broker-dealers. The two quotation systems may only be used to satisfy best execution if there are two or more priced quotes in a security. If less than two priced quotes exist for a security, broker-dealers must contact three other dealers for priced quotations.

Plain speak: Broker-dealers may not give their customers prices inferior to those currently being quoted on inter-dealer quotation systems.

I had an earlier experience with a Fidelity representative along the same lines. When they don't know the answer to a question, they make something up.

I'm moving my account away from Fidelity.

Fidelity Investments phantom stock purchase

At approximately 4:15 p. M. On monday, july 27, 2017, I placed with fidelity via the internet 4 buy orders for various dividend-paying common stocks. The following day my orders were filled... And then some. I noted a confirmation slip for a company with the symbol "ngls" which I had not ordered. I immediately phoned fidelity on july 28. After speaking with a rep for about 10 minutes, including being put on hold twice, I was told the matter could not be resolved that day and would be referred over to a dept. For investigation. I was, however, told that the ngls order was placed at 7:15 p. M. On july 27. I was home watching tv at that time. I live alone. No one other than fidelity has my user name or password.
When 2 weeks passed without further word from fidelity, I called again on august 11. I was told there was no record of my previous call. Very strange since you always get a message saying the call is being recorded. I repeated my problem. The rep thought he could resolve it in 30-40 minutes. I told him i'd be home for the next 90 minutes. He called back in about 20 minutes and said the matter would have to be looked into by the fraud dept. He asked me what I was seeking. I told him I wanted to be made whole with the money placed back in my account. I did not want the stock.
The rep called back on august 12 and left a message on my answer machine saying they were still working on it.
On august 13 I received a call from the rep saying no fraud was found, and that fidelity does not feel responsible. He wanted to know if I wanted the stock sold. I said yes and that I would decide what my next step would be to recover any loss, including removing my accounts from fidelity. He expressed regret since i've been with the company for 30 years.
I don't know what happened at their end. I do know nothing occurred at mine. Even if anyone else had my log-in info, it would make no sense to order for my account as there is nothing to be gained. In view of my long-standing relation with the company, I believe they should have stepped up to the plate.

Fidelity Investments illegal holdings?

Got a BS story from fidelity about needing 4 more days after a 3 day period to grant me a loan of my money. On their online business application it stated it will take it 3-5 days AFTER the submission. I am on the 6th day, and when i called. They said, it needs to go through 4 different clearing houses. When I asked WHY, they said it takes four banks including 2 chase banks. That takes 2 days, and I said so you are trading with my money? I was informed they were not, and so I asked can you prove it?

When I called chase, they said we do not process through a clearing house, we just move the money. I said to their manager, so Fidelity is using your name to buy them time, making you look bad.

So, basically, fidelity is trading using my money to earn big bucks of their own. When I asked can I go to their facility to just pick up the check since the checks can be cut there. Silence filled the line, and said it already is on the way. Which chase has confirmed it is NOT on the way.

Seriously, thinking of contacting a lawyer to see if they can sue them. As they are in violation of contract.

Fidelity Investments inadequate services

Fidelity proves once again how difficult it is to do business with. It offers a labyrinthine website that is not interested in how much customer time it wastes. Poorly designed, difficult to use, a time-burner to accomplish even the simplest of tasks, like signing up for EFT service which we attempted today. Fidelity, like so many financial institutions, does not wish to make our lives easier or more profitable. If it did, it would create and present online systems and services that take into consideration our time and effort. 1 out of 10 rating. Banks are not our friends. But we knew that, sadly. Fidelity can do better, and we hope it will.

Fidelity Investments wont release my assets worth millions

My x is a president in fidelity investments. As he goes through life, he is extremely charming on the outside and uses everyone for his purpose, ; acting like your best friend at first. You know the kind... The judge is friends with his lawyer, so all the lies he made up in trial were acceptable to her. Meanwhile I was not allowed to speak the truth and had to defend myself from his countless, bold face lies. He will also not give me my share of the stock, when I have to support the children on a ridiculously low support, and stay in debt. He makes over 3.5 million $ each year, but with help of fidelity, he has "protection" from allocating my share to me. Yes, this is the giant company that wants us to "save for our children"under their roof, while leaving the mothers behind, who struggled with a rat, for years. They call this shameless rat, a president. Shame on them all! He will always make sure he wins, and gets rid of his competition, watch out abby,! You are just as vulnerable.

Fidelity Investments destroyed my stock shares without my consent

Since 2000, I have held 20 million shares of a particular stock with fidelity. I bought those shares through fidelity investments, and held them in my account till today. The value of that stock went way down to a hundredth of a penny, and stayed there for a number of years. I never sold, hoping that one day, its value would increase and I would make a profit on the stock. Now, 2012, the value of that stock has gone way up, I want to sell it, but I just discovered, I cannot because fidelity has decided to destroy those shares that I had bought. They refuse to replace them or their substantial dollar amount since they cannot seem to locate a transfer agent for that security. This is fraud in my book. They could have sent me those shares if they did not wish to hold them anymore, but chose to destroy the shares that did not belong to them instead. I've written fidelity letters, which they have chosen to ignore, and I have written the us attorney general's office with my complaint. If there is an attorney out there who feels they are capable of handling a case like this, please contact me.

Fidelity Investments non profit corp acts

Traditionally fidelity has been a decent conservative investment co...
Lately fidelity has adopted a poor customer service attitude and corporate culture toward customers. We had a officer pass away and when we contacted fidelity to set up new access points. Fidelity gave us the run around that never stopped...
Endless wait times and reticulated bureaucratic procedures has provided nothing but roadblocks to getting information concerning our account. This run around by fidelity has gone on now for many months. So our accounts are locked.
Extremely dissatisfied with fidelity and advise others to discontinue any services with the late great fidelity.

Fidelity care for customers is nil.
Their senior managers are unavailable and uncaring. Fidelity management does not care to give names and #'s of supervisors for help with customer problems.

1. poor customer service. phone call not answered. message with no call back
2. I do not like the way they calculate transaction and the settlement of the balance. I feel somebody can steal my money from my fidelity accounts without a trace. I called them repeatedly about my concerns. but off cause, they do not care.
3. I am seriously thinking to transfer my money out of fidelity.
