Whoever these people are, be advised that they are very dangerous; because not only did they know my business address, they also knew my name and my business partners name. They knew when I filed for my very first business license as well. This is not only scary but insane that people can pry into someone's livihood and then go and demand money and most people won't even think that this is a fraud, because of what they already know. This address needs to be investigated to the fullest and I really love what this site does, I just wish it went a step further and told us how to not only help the elderly that will fall for this just like I almost done, but also how we can get someone on the job to shut this down.

Thank you to the two people that reported this before I did.

I am going to report them here https://www.usa.gov/stop-scams-frauds and suggest you do the same. I almost paid this out and one of our other employees caught it and identified it as a scam before it went out.

I was misinformed as I thought this was an official request from the city. I was duped of $100. I tried to call the number but was unable to reach a live person. There is only an option to leave a message. Why are these people still able to operate? This is FRAUD.

I just recieved a notice for renewal. It did not match my records of the expected time of renewal, the standard amount, and the payee had changed all of which prompted me to investigate. Fraudulent forms and bills are received at my business at least every other month. It's getting harder and harder to identify them. Thank you for letting others know!

They are frauds. I actually called the legit County's Records Office and they agreed that these people do not represent them. They said that they can't do anything about it though because the offer a service----of sending you the form. They will FILE it for you only and you still have to pay the actual renewal fee. So not only do you pay these jerks who just send you this form (as a service costing $125) but then you'd also have to pay the actual real fee. The lady at the real recorders office says that this happens all the time to people. I asked why this wasn't illegal and the reason seems to be that at the very bottom it says "THIS IS NOT APPROVED OR ENDORSED BY ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY< AND THIS OFFER IS NOT BEING BADE BY AN AGENCY OF THE GOVERNMENT. THE FEE FOR THIS SERVICE IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE PAID BY OR TO ANY GOVERNMENT AGNECY> THIS IS NOT A BILL. THIS IS A SOLICITATION. So because they say that they are allowed to get away with making it look official. What a bunch of slimy crooks.
