I enrolled in the FBA Stores individual coaching to learn how to operate amazon stores and fulfill through amazon. It cost approx $5000. The coaching is not as represented. My experience has been very negative and disappointing. Beware of Chris and Adam Bower and the FBA Stores . . . .. lots of promises, big price tag and then they do not deliver!!!

Just attended a 2 hour seminar of 'Amazon Selling, Training Event' in Denver, that had many red flags, from sign up to completion.

1st red flag: The seminar advertisement was very misleading, it appeared to be hosted by Amazon and consisting of free tips and useful information for sellers wanting to get started in this online arena. NOT SO. It made no mention of it being a sales pitch from a 3rd party company, Online Auction Learning, aka FBA Stores, that was in fact, selling a $995, 3-day training workshop.

2nd red flag: they obnoxiously bombarded my account and phone with calls, texts and emails for 10 straight days. Enough already!

3rd red flag: URGENCY TACTICS: Limited time offer, must purchase today, limited seats in the workshop, never have this opportunity again, hurry, purchase today, be smart, stop letting fear rule you...etc..

4th red flag: I have been to similar, scripted sales seminars before, and I immediately picked out 3 people in the front of the room, that I thought would be the 'plants' in the audience, meaning they work for the seminar company, and were strictly there to show enthusiasm, to 'jump up' and run to the sales tables to ensure their place in the limited seating workshop: therefore creating hype, urgency and credibility. They were very attractive, colorful, noticeable, savvy looking, etc...sure enough, 2 of the 3 jumped up, headed to the table and loudly chattered away to draw everyone's attention to their 'smart purchase'...a deceptive ploy and incentive to get others to follow.

5th red flag: The presenter requested that all questions be held and directed to the sales team in the back of the room, rather than holding up the flow of information...he assured us that ALL possible questions would be addressed his presentation...hmmm, sounds like they do not want any questions raised that may create red flags to the unsuspecting audience, as in "Is there any other costs or fee's associated with this mentoring program, at the workshops, or any other time, that are not being disclosed here today?" Be leery of any seminar that does not allow group questions!

After coming home and researching(which I always do) reviews, BBB and Chris Bowser, I am finding several unappealing things about this company and workshop series. It appears they aggressively up-sale more mentoring services($10, 000-30, 000 on average) at the 3 day workshop and do not always honor the 'satisfaction guaranteed' refund that is offered at the seminar...sounds as though the $995.00 workshop fee is just the tip of the iceberg. A ploy to get you in the door. Many reviews stated the workshop information was overwhelming and hard to apply, thus the hard push for the additional mentoring services and fee's.

I did not take the bait today, and I sincerely hope others will research before blindly jumping into such an endeavor. How sad that this company is taking an approach of non disclosure and hidden agendas. Many good samaritans(and unfortunately victims), have done reviews on this site, BBB and others...do your homework friends...blessings.

@berly foster Thank you so much for posting this! It was very helpful! I signed up for the free seminar in Lakewood today and was going to take time off work to go. Now I know it would be a waste of time. You just saved me from a big disappointment.

@danipax @danipax, so glad you saw my post before you wasted your time. An UPDATE: 5 days after the seminar I was voicemailed, texted and emailed the exact scripted pitch below:

This is Phil Anderson with FBA Stores, we wanted to thank you for attending our preview in the last week or so.

We had a few people from the event you attended who registered to attend the 3 day workshop, but their payment method declined. I have been authorized for a short window of time to allow you to attend the full 3-day event utilizing some payment options that could reduce your upfront cost to attend significantly. The few seats I have will be released on a first-come first-serve basis.

If you're serious about adding a layer of financial security to your life that you don't have now, call me back at: xxx-xxx-xxxx

LOL, they have really perfected the game! Anything to get more people in the door to sell them 20K in mentoring services.

Be careful friends!

@berly foster @barely foster You captured it so accurately. I attended 3 days workshop @$995 and feel the exactly the same for all flags above.
Adding few more flags
Flag 6) Trainer says multiple times that he is recording everything in the workshop for future evidence, and for the evidence he says loud and clear that before you go out after finishing the workshop, you get one of our consultants and get "plan of action" for what you will be doing from tomorrow. and when you go to the consultant for "plan of action" (which is 1 on 1) all they do is they try to sell you their package. there is no "plan of action". they are not even interested in hearing your own plan of action once they know you don't want to buy their membership package.
Flag 7) During workshop they prohibit to exchange the phone numbers and business cards (and of course they tell you some fake story about what happened in CA where one guy gathered a "support group and got money from all and disappeared" but i think the real reason is they don't want people to express their thoughts to each other. otherwise their money collection "system" would fall apart. and no one would buy membership.
Flag 8) In the workshop, I came across one person who paid $1500 and the other one who paid $500 for the same workshop. the guy who paid $500, they called him after few days of free seminar and offered him $500 as "they still have spot open". (so what they said "today only offer for $995" was fake and just to create pressure)
I experienced the same when I did not pay any $ for the package after the workshop and after few days I got a call from them saying they will give me the diamond package for $12000 with some customization! As "Chris and Adam" really wants everyone to take this opportunity! Just that I would not have "opportunity" to have dinner with Chris and Adam in that package!!! (who the hell wants dinner with them? I don't know if anyone would be interested in it!). I don't know if we should all go to Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftc.gov/) to stop these guys to do further damage ...

@Juniper#123 for your 7th flag, they didnt say anything about exchanging phone numbers and such and we did it. I did it with other people that enroll with the diamond course they didnt say anyhting. Also we took a picture with the presenter, well me and my dad took a picture personally with him and also the information they gave us at the 3 day paid workshop was actually very usefull

@berly foster FBA Stores are a SCAM - Chris Bowser and his brother Adam Bowser are scams. The company is run and funded by real estate fake artist Jeff Adams - who has never sold on Amazon. STAY AWAY... don't pay $1000 at the end of their 2 hour free preview - to be sold a $35, 000 "package" at their 3 day workshop where they teach you how to violate Amazon policy and try to get away with it. BAD NEWS!

Went to the seminar myself and the prior complaint is Accurate. they even offered and gave out free Amazon fire tablets to the first 4 that sign up. I know someone who bought the 3 day seminar, , will follow up on his experience in a few weeks. But as Foster wrote, , it will take a strong attention to detail and to be a fast learner to absorb enough info without spending more money on personal training in the form of fees or cost. nothing is Free and without HARD dedicated work and Time. Remember you must decide on the product, , put up the money up front and pay to have it on Amazon before a profit is realized. It may have benefits in the long run . Taxes could surface to be a problem or at least a filing nightmare. All Businesses have similar problems but with more work involved. Riches are there if you want to work 10 hours a day. Did I say HARD WORK either physically or Mentally. I made my comfortable nest egg through devoted work so i don't NEED this to depend on for income but was still interested enough to go to the seminar and learn something.. bored perhaps!

I was one that signed up for a 4, 995 package. big mistake

this company has no reputation, and no accountability

their coaching package does NOT make you money - period.

they leave you with a list of wholesalers, tell you to read a book on how not to get suspended from amazon, and stick you with a coach that takes no interested in whether you succeed or fail

They leave you to fend for yourself and have no concrete plan on reaching your 6, 000, 8, 000, 10, 000 dollar figure they tease you about at their workshops

FBA Stores is strictly second rate and their coaching program is worthless. whatever they give you, you can learn on Amazon Seller central for free. The only thing FBA stores does is lose you money. They take your money and forget about all about you so they can move on to some other sucker

@Johnnycomelately I am so sorry for your situation! I posted my complaint on the shady seminars in hopes of warning anyone of this scam business, BEFORE they took the plunge. If you have not already, please file a complaint with the BBB, it is easy to do online. Many people will look there first, for research on this business. Mention the many names this company goes by, as they are deceptive and attempt to hide registered complaints by using different names for their current seminars and business: FBA Stores, Online Auction Learning, Chris Bowser, Adam Bowser . You may know of other registered or key names to share, given you attended the workshops. Again, sorry for your financial loss, it is so angering...

I did it. I went with a friend and I was not sold the entire seminar was like a carny show. I finally was told by the salesman how I would 10 to 20% just from buying from their product list and I could buy $5 thousand a month to start and pay off my investment quickly and then find other products to sell on my own. I asked the same question in 5 different ways and said why not. Well, 5 months later and over $10 thousand invested NOTHING. I have not listed a single product from them. Only because they don't have anything to sell that I can find that is worth it. I am in it and I will tell anyone to stay away with all my might. A total scam. And Yes I will be making some big noise soon about them and not in a good way.

How do you find a program that offers you to buy at a preferential price or access to distributer prices? That's the big thing they are selling, as if it's a franchise fee, or club membership...

My husband went to their three day ($1, 000) training and is Gung Ho in spending MORE than our very hard earned life savings ($35, 000) on their program. I have worked two jobs to support our two children and aging parents. I cannot take such a risk when my children need to go to college next year. Do you feel there is a program that offers similar services and results out there?
N  30th of May, 2017 by    +2 Votes
@LadySyma Do not give them the 35K. They will not refund you. Not only that, they won't hear you and they will send you a release agreement where they take half of your money and if you ask why? The answer is simple, because they say so. No more communication until you sign the agreement where they want you to promise that you won't say a word of their improper behavior, nor that they will suit you for the whole amount you invested. It is a nightmare. After they take your money, the customer service is poor very poor and you will be frustrated to no end.

@LadySyma Ok. they do not have the product they say they do period. When they do offer up a product that might be good, everyone is offered the same stuff. Because of that Amazon has too many sellers. You have to research on the product they sell and some are so gated you will not be able to sell it ever unless you jump through a tune of hoops and to make just a few bucks. Totally stupid. and they don't do it for you and if you do sell you will not make the money they say. The coaching is just what Amazon would do anyways for you for free. The coaches don't even sell themselves on Amazon and are going by a coaching book. And the information they go over is all over the internet for free. You are just paying for some to hold your hand and once they go over it DONE good luck on your own. And if you don't get it in the hour of coaching have fun waiting to the next session. You don't get the coaches number just and email. The salesman that signed me up was supportive to a point at the begging and then disappeared and never returned my text. I can go on and on. Don't believe it. They cover all the points just enough not to get totally in trouble but I do believe that one day they will have a class action lawsuit against then and will be no more. I am in trouble now myself and I was on disability and this seemed to an answer for me to do get back on my feet. I had to take a loan to sign up and now I have no income and a huge debt I never had before. Coaches quit all the time midway because of the false promises that have to deal with one on one. If you do sign up and go for it. Give your all and know it is not an hour a day at all like they say. it's a full time job and finding product is not easy.

@LadySyma The inventory is a lie. They tell you one thing in the seminar but another one when you request it. They give you inventory okay, but be careful because it may be unsellable. They have poor customer service, once they get the money, they won't answer the phone to help you. The trip they offer, you have to pay for it and they will reimburse you a fraction of what it costs...etc., etc., etc.,

@zanzabar My wife and I have spent the last 3 months hounding them to provide the product that we were told their world class sourcing team ("FBA-Adam") would provide. Although we've seen an effort to try and help us find products ourselves, their sales promise to provide product does not exist. I believe the only way we can beat these guys is if we band together and approach them, or possibly the Class Action you refer to here. If you are really interested, we should get in contact with each other as well as with all others that are willing to go after FBA-Stores. If you communicate back to me, I will be an eager participant and will work with you to pull a group together to go after FBA-Stores.

@lucky5757 very. Just been to one of the seminars very recently. They made it a point that they have "quality products" for you to have your investment's returned at a very short time. Me and my husband brainstormed when they mentioned that the fee would be $35K, $20K and $10K. It was very, very enticing. And it was a struggle to say NO specially when everyone was (take note they make sure that "majority" signed up/ another "make it appear" scheme). Our saving grace was that, I took up law and I knew and sensed that no matter what they have walled it too much that they can be protected when sued. Among the pointers I noticed was that, when you start to sell with amazon (if you launch selling) they are nowhere, no trace when a buyer says sue you for "product liability" because of the products you bought by using their "mentoring". They say that they have "inspected" (meaning warrant you that the products are at par) but see ----- no name of theirs when you start selling "their" products. And most of the people who signed up are retirees. I really hope that they can get their investment back. So they said "stay away from negative people". at this point in time I would rather be negative than having 4 credit cards (I never intend in my life ever to have such many) and wishing I should have rather ordered myself a nice steak at a fancy restaurant. Sum up: I never signed, no way I'm giving them 35k, 20k not even 10k.

@LadySyma if you can, transfer a large portion of your money into a three month cd account. that way your husband wont be able to touch it for at least three months and have him read these complaints. this should help him see clearly afterwards. I attended the seminar also, but decided not to purchase their product because I'm frugal with my money and $995.00 was too much for me plus i did some study on the internet and I realized the information they gave was the same info I got on the net.
good luck to you and your husband.

They have now made their way to the UK... THEY ARE TOTAL SCAMMERS and they bank on the fact that the £995 people will just give up even trying to get the refund... In terms of the poor people that went for the coaching sessions of £7400, £15, 000 and £27, 400 i feel very sorry for them . In our case it is even more ridiculous as they are asking people who live in the UK to open up USA accounts so have FX risk, and Tax compliance for a USA jurisdiction etc... IT IS A TOTAL SCAM and in my 3 day seminar most of the coached DIDNOT sell themselves even though they say they did. WHen I asked one what does he sell ? he says he sells on Private label but was not at liberty to say what it is as its trade secrets!!! a load of balony. I have already reported them to the FSAas they made outrageous staatements of guarentee returns but they are bankign on the slowness of the system

NO way.. they do it another way here. They tell people to go to Seed Capital and open ZERO interest credit cards up and get cash advancements to cover the monthly minimums while they build their Amazon business. And just to make is a sure sell they tell people that they just have to buy from the inventory they have and earn 10 to 20 % immediately. What's the risk... Laugh.. They don't tell you how it all really works and 20 percent on a 100. profit.. LOL they dont' have any real money makers they sell you. And now you're in trouble. Seed Capital is not free either. Really think hard before jumping in with them. It can work. They are smart. But it is not what they sell you in any way at the three-day event.

I have attend $1000 class. 3 day work shop. It is illegal not disclosing what we are getting in to. Thee was one person who signed second day as first person. She went to each person and pushing to do it. May be she belongs to their person. What ever they are doing it is so sad how they are taking those hard earned money from some older generation. I was smart enough to see the fraud. If we do not stop this they will victimise more and more people. I am in if any one wants to join for a lawsuit lets vote for it and go for it. @Anirudha Miryala Hello,
The Mass Attorney general is waiting to hear from people who have been affected by FBAStores . They have encouraged me to tell people to voice their complaint. Please place this complaint with them. I have notified them about the Boston trip for a computer and a second store set up completely separate from the first amazon seller store.
If you have the written bonus contract that would be useful. That seems to arrive after the $35, 000.00 investment. I have gone directly to Amazon with the contract. They have no affiliation with any second store being run through the Amazon business tools.
N  7th of Aug, 2017 by    +2 Votes
@Flordemaria Polo Allemant The only way we can do anything about FBA Stores is to band together and go after them. They won't do a thing for individuals. And if you give them a chance to make things right, they'll string you along and then stop answering the phones. We all need to trade contact info and plan a time to get together and brainstorm this. If we get enough people and the right lawyer we could start a class action suit.

I am an experienced, successful Amazon seller. My husband and I have made the majority of our income from selling on Amazon for 4 years. I went to the free seminar with a friend who is just getting started, just to support him. I was so shocked and frustrated at the INACCURACY of the "training" they gave in the seminar. They said so many things that are flat our wrong about selling on Amazon. Just a few examples:
1. They lied about the cost of using Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA), saying that it is all included in a $40/month fee and there are no other costs. The reality is that the $40/month fee to be a pro seller has nothing to do with weather or not you use FBA and using FBA (which I do, and which is worth the fees in my option) has a lot of fees which will total between 25-35% of your gross sales (in addition to the Amazon sales commission they will take which is about 15%). Again, ignoring these costs makes it seem so easy to get rich on Amazon.
2. They gave multiple examples of buying a product and selling on Amazon, giving great numbers of the profit you would net after selling it. The problem is, their math ignored all of the Amazon fulfillment fees, so in reality, they would have lost money on the sales. They either don't understand Amazon's fees AT ALL, or they are purposely being deceptive to make it seem so easy to "get rich quick" in this business.
3. They advised that you get multiple seller accounts for different categories of products. This is strongly against amazon's TOS without their express permission and they actively find and suspend accounts of people who do this (not just the second account, all accounts)
4. They said that to list a private label product (i.e. a product you created) on Amazon that there is a big complicated application process (which of course their $1, 500 course will teach you how to breeze through). In reality, there is absolutely no application process to list your own product on Amazon. It is super easy.

In addition, the way the described a lot of things seemed purposely deceptive and confusing to make it seem like they were experts to someone who knew nothing, and to make you confused enough to think you needed to spend a ton on training for them to explain all the terms they randomly threw out and told you to write down, but never explained. Since I knew everything they were talking about, I knew how convoluted and unclear to a new person it all was.

Multiple times, they implied that they are affiliated with Amazon, which is not true.

From the other reviews, it is clear that they are dishonest and taking a lot of money for things they don't fulfill on. From my perspective as a successful Amazon seller, I explained all of this to my friend and prevented him from buying because they had not demonstrated to me that they actually had any real clue about how Amazon really works.

There are lots of other training programs out there. High price does not mean it is better!

My husband and I also paid the $995 to attend the 3 day seminar because we were told during the free seminar that they could and would help us out once we were part of their network. We are already selling on Amazon and doing quite well on our own from being self taught through youtube videos and such. We even have a private label. We were promised that we would get one on one coaching to help us with PPC and SEO type activities. Well here's what REALLY happened. We attended the first day which was a Friday and all be 1 hour was spent on talking about financial freedom, how great Amazon is, what are your hopes and dreams, how to get more credit cards and use a company to get seed money, that you should re-fi your home to get the equity, etc. Literally only 1 hour was spent on actually talking about anything useful. I mean, we are already here and each of us has spent $1k so enough with the motivational speeches. We left on day 1 and weren't sure if we were going to return...we said to each other that we should at least go back since we already paid. BTW..we were told to our face that if we didn't like the course we could get our money back 100% guarantee. Yeah...well we pulled out the guarantee as we were on our way to the 2nd day and saw the HUGE list of conditions. One was actually that you have to list and have 25 products for 6 months. Wow...so much for their word. Anyways, we go back the second day and decided to count how many 'personal stories' the speaker told us vs how much actual knowledge was being transferred. By the time we took our first break at 10:20 am, there had been 7 stories told by the speaker and literally only 1 piece of information that a beginner would find useful. It wasn't very useful to us and in fact, the information they told was wrong in many cases. Here is one thing they told the group: "With FBA (amazon) you have to receive the products and label them yourself with UPC labels and then ship them to many different warehouses". Then they try to sell you on their FBA( Adam) which would charge you $.15 per item. Well both of those facts are wrong. Our manufacturer from China actually put the UPC labels on for us and shipped directly to one warehouse at Amazon. Amazon then distributes some of the merchandise out to their warehouses. They also told students to open multiple seller accounts (clearly against TOS of Amazon). We honestly felt like they were praying on the old and retired people that are struggling to make ends meet. It felt dirty and wrong on so many levels. We overheard the sales pitch to one older gentlemen during his one on one coaching and he wanted him to give him his last $9k to get additional training. We packed our stuff up at first break and never looked back. I honestly feel that most of the 'coaches' don't even have stores, they never showed us their seller accounts, never talked about how much they made, etc. They are just closers to get you on the hook for more money . Ugh...it's all so very wrong. Please steer clear of this scam.

@Jenyphur Wow! I could have written this post. Everything in your post is exactly what my experience was.

@Jenyphur Just finished the scam seminar in Anaheim. I agree 100%. It was sad to see that the majority of the enrollees were elderly retirees. I wish I had done my research before I went - they definitely make it very misleading and keep adding fees and membership criteria to "get your business going'. It is absolutely true that 75% of this seminar is about selling their package of $35, 000, not about selling on Amazon.

I've had nothing but great service in dealing with FBA Stores. They've been on top of everything whether it be my sales order for my bonus product, answering emails, answering phone calls, etc. From my own experience running my Amazon store I know it takes dedication, time, hard work, and pride. FBA Stores has done 100% to help me make my store successful. I think a majority of some these reviews come from people who clearly don't take the time and mange their store because if they did, they wouldn't be so upset.

My coach Mr. Peter O'Toole is also somebody who has been a HUGE help to me within the past couple of months. Peter has gone above and beyond to help in assisting me with questions I have regarding Amazon.

This is not a "Get Rich Quick Scheme". The provided Trainings are a proven way to sell on Amazon the "Right" way. If you are trying to start a business on Amazon, you need to become a student of FBA Stores.

Those who succeed are the people who look at this as a business. Ultimately to succeed you need to work hard. Too many people think starting an Amazon FBA is passive income – IT’S NOT! Understand you need to schedule time if you want to earn serious money from this business. FBA Stores can just show you the way how to succeed. Every week you need to schedule time to find products, process the items, and ship them to Amazon.

FBA Stores provide the training and support to perform successfully. However, it is up to you, the student, to dedicate your time, talents, and effort in making your business lucrative. Our coaches use their knowledge and experience to provide lessons that they use on their stores today. Through correcting mistakes and learning how to be profitable, they have allowed our students to see how they made it work. But, when push comes to shove, it is your responsibility to make the commitment, the investment, and the relentlessness to make it happen. All the training in the world isn’t going to replace the hunger you will need to make Amazon work for you.

@BriCarHal Pleaaaase! some of these people are losing thousands of dollars and for what. This company is a fraud!! It shouldn't cost thousands of dollars to learn how to start a business online. I hope they all get together and expose these thieves and make them repay all the money they have stolen. This is a disgrace!!

@madeacourage I will be attending a class shortly, and I have things in place that will let the students in on exactly what these people are doing...

Like anything else, the more you put in the more you'll get out. Because of my coach I am on top of all the changes that Amazon makes
