I “won” the Fantasea Resorts gift package and, unfortunately, wasted a nice weather day at their presentation yesterday.
What a shame that they are allowed to prey on people with their timeshare scam.
Luckily my wife and I are not weak and were able to stand up to the high pressure, nasty people trying to take away our hard earned money.
We stated we have 2 children, however that didn't seem to stop these vultures from trying to steal our money and make my family's life harder.

The Atlantic Palace is a low-end hotel that was dirty, cramped and void of any luxury.
The timeshare “deals” offered made little to no economic sense (Just one example: For $5, 000 down + $380/month for 7 yrs ($32, 000), you get 1 wk per year in the Atlantic Palace - in a studio - or you can pay $220 - $400 per week to stay somewhere else, which means you have to try and exchange your week with someone else wanting/willing to stay at the AP.
The “gift” package is an absolute joke. The 4 "free" airline tickets make you purchase 7 - 9 days of a hotel to be booked through the stated travel agent (min $279/night) and have mostly blacked out dates. The "free" 2-night stay at a resort makes you pay $50 up front. Then you send your list of 3 options where you would like stay and hope you get a call back. The $100 restaurant card makes you download an app then apply for coupons using the code. All the coupons are for discounts after you spend a certain amount of money ($20 - $50). The Resort tickets to a show are free, however it is for a lame revue show Sunday - Wednesday which normally goes for $15. The TangerOutlet deal is only a coupon book you can get online or at the outlets.

In the beginning … the salesman was nice and it seemed he would give us an informative and fun presentation.
Midway through … we became aware that it was all smoke, mirrors, lies and double talk. No matter what we asked, we could not get a straight answer out of anyone.
By the end of the presentation … Which was over 3 hours, an hour longer than advertised … it was finally figured out by the vultures that we were on to their scam. We were then treated like animals and pushed out the door with our “gifts” and no explanation on how these gifts work or any thanks that we wasted most of our day on this. All the people who were nice to us when we arrived became cold and nasty.

Everyone involved in this scam should be ashamed of themselves; from the telephone operators to the CEO.
How do all of you go home at night knowing that your job is to steal money from families?

I am glad I only wasted a day and pray that the credit card I had to show isn't used by the thieves at this presentation or sold to some foreign country.
I feel sorry for anyone that is not strong enough to fight the guilt trips and high pressure sales tactics used and will try make sure that every person I know is aware of this scam and stays away.
