Family Dollar customer service / store # 06345

Hello my name is Evelyn Jackson, and I shop at the Riverdale, Il location. Store # 06345. But, on today your CSR was very rude and disrespectful.. She, wanted to understand why my total was higher than I expected. And, did I receive my discount from my items? She from that point got a attitude towards me for asking and for wanting to remove some of the items because she didn't explain at first why it was that price total... And, than started to explain but got a attitude with getting loud with me and than. Afterwards, throw my money in my hand ... " Have another customer!" As I walked out of the store, started talking about me to the other customers... I shop at that all the time... And, been for years, my family and I.. But, if this is the way you all treat your customers... I will No longer be spending any more of my time as well Money in ANY MORE Family Dollars! I feel very disrespected!

Family Dollar power bank universal charger

I bought 1 on Aug 17, didn't work, took it back to the store. Exchange for another one. It did not work. Took it back the very next day and will not refund my money or give me another one. I do all my shopping here since its the only store in drew Mississippi and they do that over a $5.00 charger, as much money as I spend here. I know most of your employees by name. Friendly and clean place. But this isn't right. Not to stand behind your merchandise. I won't shop there any more and I will inform my family and friends not to buy your electronics.

Family Dollar store closing too early

The manager claims her name is Tasha the store is ga 42 & us 23 in Rex ga creek wool village shopping center. She closed the store down before 10 pm I was trying 2 but 2 quarts of oil I pulled up to this location at 9:50 and it was dark and the lady standing at the door refused to let me in she said several time I close at 9:50pm this is not the first time she has done that so I took my service to Walmart who will gladly take my money and she had the audacity to be nasty about it I told her I was making a complaint and she said go ahead we are closed good night

Family Dollar service

Today at store 05439 my children 8&10 yrs old were spoken to in a very rude manor by the security staff you hired. Your security guard talk hostile towards my children twice for touching and item. That is my job not hers! And i am very upset that we even exchanged words in a negative fashion in front of my children. Be live me I am not to kind of customer that will remain silent while spending my money when getting disrespected. I will continue to follow up on this matter so other customers do experience the same unprofessional behavior from your choice of staff.

Family Dollar unethical behavior

To whom it may concern,
I was visiting store number 00410 on 08/18/2017 around 4pm, and had one of the worst shopping experiences ever. Upon entering the store I was dryly greeted by the cashier. I proceeded to grab a few items and headed to the check out. When I arrived in line it was 3 customers ahead of me and one gentleman behind me who only had one item. After patiently waiting in line it was finally my turn and just as I was about to place my items on the counter she says to me "ma'ma I'm going to check the man behind you out first he only has one item and I'm sure you not in a hurry to go back in that sun." I politely told her I was waiting in line before him and it was my choice to decide if he could go ahead of men not hers, and I also told her my husband was in the car waiting on me so I could take him to work. None of that mattered to her because she still told the gentleman to come before me even after she clearly knew it was a issue. The issue was not the gentleman going before me it was the cashier treating me unfairly and not valuing my time spent in line. I was completely appalled by her actions. I do not know the cashiers name but she was an older black lady with gold shoulder length hair. Due to her actions I will not be returning to that particular location.

Family Dollar service

Today august 18 my son went to family dollar on Washington in waukegan Illinois and as him and his wife are checking out my son told his wife let's go cause the employee (manager) wanted to talk so once my son was talking to his wife this "manager" proceeded to get in their conversation and my son said I'm not talking to you I'm talking to my wife he kept making remarks my son told him meet him outside this manager kept at it... first of all no employee manager or not needs to be getting in people's conversation second he banned my son from the store which is ridiculous we buy from family dollar everyday! Yet there are bums and a particular man who stands outside harassing customers going inside and harassing the female employees but my son gets banned? This is uncalled for and needs to be fixed!

Family Dollar employees

About a week ago I went into one of your stores it was about 9:30 pm to grab some things quick. As I was approaching the register I heard someone yell I can get you at the next one. So as I proceed to the next checkout my mother with me one of your employees a guy comes up on his personal phone talking loud about his personal life. So I'm getting aggravated and he looks at us still on his phone so you want this in a bag? By then I was livid. So I look at the other lady behind the register doing cigarettes and I ask her. Are you the manager? She looks up then back down yes. I asked her do you allow your employees to talk on the phone while working and checking out a customer? She answered me with he is talking about his son. So I told her as she ignored me never walking over to address it or asking her employee to get off the phone. It is rude and he should not be on the phone. He continued to have his conversation and she never said anything else to me. She allowed me to walk out mad and him to carry on his conversation. I will not return to this family dollar again until this situation is cared for. Your employees in that store do not care for your customers or the service they receive. I shop their because I like the prices and its convenient. It's around the corner from my house. Not to mention my mother had to do the transaction 3 times because he was on his phone not paying attention. I really hope you get better people to represent your company.

Family Dollar purchases/returns

On August 8th & 10th, my husband purchased painting supplies from the above location. He did not need all of them and asked me (his wife) to please go and return them. All products were in the original packaging and in the family dollar bag along with both original receipts.

Arrive and entered the store mentioned above on August 15th, with bag and receipts in hand and proceeded to register, but no clerk at counter. Then was approached by a cashier named Amanda...I explained to Amanda what I needed to do and she took the bag and the receipts and looked over the receipts for about 3-4 minutes and stated to me the following:

" Were you the person who purchased these Items?" My response, no, my husband purchased them on two different credit cards. (In which I have the same cards on me) Amanda then stated to me " you will have to come back to speak with the store manager because in order for her to return these items, she will need to review the store video's to make sure you actually purchased these items." I advised her that my husband was out in the car, he was the one who actually made the purchases. She then stated, you have to come back and have the tapes reviewed, I do not know if these items were stolen and she is the only one who can view the video. Now my blood pressure is up there. I kindly asked when the store manager would be back and she said that she just stepped out to take care of personal business and will be back soon. I left the store and finished my other errands. Arrived back at the store, and my husband came along in with me.
I asked Amanda again so that my husband could hear the response, "Amanda, you stated to come back and see the store Manager because she would have to review the video cameras before we could return the items, and as rude as she could have been, stated "that is what I told you".
My husband and I waited for about 30 minutes before the store manager arrived. I had a conversation with her and explained what she had stated to us. The store manager apologized and just checked the items along with the receipts and gave us the refund.

I am totally humiliated that I was treated like a thief and also in front of other people waiting in the line to check out when I literally had everything I needed to return the items purchased. Amanda kept insisting that she needed to make sure these items were purchased from her store.
First of all, I am a general manager of a large hotel chain and have better morals than to go and steal items and bring them back into the store and try to get my money back. Secondly, why would I have the receipts and all the items on the receipts in the bag if I stole them. Again, this was handled so badly, and I was literally accused by the choice of word, "we have to review the video cameras first before you can return these items."
I buy items daily from different high end stores, for both my husbands business and the Hotel I manage and have never been treated like a thief or told they have to review video first when trying to return items.

To me this is defamation of character and I feel if this is not resolved I will be seeking legal council regarding the situation. No apologies just a quick refund to my husband and myself to get rid of the problem that Amanda brought on by a bad choice of words in front of many customers.

Family Dollar cashier

I am a daily customer and local business owner who purchases products on a daily basis. This evening when I walked in there was chaos regarding the line system (as usual). I was in the store with my husband who has dementia. He didn't understand the line system. I explained to him that wasn't the line and we needed to go to the back. A local neighbor who was familiar with my husband and his condition offered to allow us to ring up items. The cashier explained that if it wasn't being paid for together we need to get to the back of the line (I agree, completely fair). We go to the back of the line with no problems. Here is where the problem starts... It's about to be our turn. There is a young girl at the check out, her father was grabbing more items at back of store, the young for looks back...my husband says "you can go ahead". When the father approaches the cashier instigates by telling the dad "people wanna talk to other people kids how they want." a different cashier giggles and says " ohh you tryna get people beat up". At this point I can't believe in a place of business the employees were trying to instigate a fight. (With the manager next to them). I recognised the lady to the right as being a manager as I spend money EVERY DAY at this location.
At this point I say "aren't you a manager, I can't believe this..." The cashier says "you're just mad because I MADE you go to the back of the line".
- NO LITTLE GIRL, I'm mad because you at your place of employment were trying to instigate a fight between to grown men. I'm mad because you didn't handle your job properly. I'm mad because I'm there every day and respect how your chaotic line system works but you couldn't humble yourself enough to realise you were dealing with a disabled person (which was very obvious and why the man offered my husband to take his place in line). I'm mad because even though we handled ourselves eloquently and got in the back of line (which is fair) you found it necessary to cause a problem. Family dollar must be desperate for employees. I recommend them to open up their hiringvto felons in the community who need and would appreciate a job. Some of these young entitled lazy rude ratchet cashiers do not care about how they conduct business. Store #[protected] Penn Ave N Mpls., MN

Family Dollar product/service

I walk into the family dollar in Glendale Utah SLC at 5pm on Sunday to buy Games which earlier I had came an brought the same product for the same price now I sends my wife in their to buy the SAME product an the manager Rebecca charged her a different price so I asked why did the price change if it clearly say on the product 99cents she said I don't kno but this is the price so I said that can be so she starts arguing with me so I asked for family dollar number she said I'll give it to you but it Won't make a differences cus she is the Manager of the store an smiled an told me to leave or she will call the cops which she started calling for what I don't kno but I'm a manger at target an Customer's Are always right especially when the price is on the product but different

Family Dollar customer service

I have been in this store multiple times and since the new manager and assistant manager has been there the wait is just ridiculous! A couple weeks ago I watched the store manager take a call on her cell phone for approximately 2 minutes before even saying she had to go because she had a customer and the assistant manager will stay in the back of the store and wait until someone finds the "bell" that is usually way off to the side, and rings it. I waited about 3-5 minutes before she even got to the register and by that time there was already 5 others in line and just her to ring while the store manager was walking in the door and walked right past all of us! Unbelievable!

Family Dollar employee posts

Employee posted in a private group on Facebook. Stating on Mondays they will no longer accept coupons due to the fact it keeps cashiers at the register as oppose to stocking shelves. I felt her tone of her post was ride and unprofessional. It makes me feel as though they are saying we don't want to be bothered nor do we want ya business. I coupon regularly I also shop regularly for my house as well as my two sisters. I refer and encourage people to go to family Dollar and dollar general all the time. And reading things like that makes me feel like I can show else where

Family Dollar general manager and cashier

Stalking us in the store keep asking us excuse me and stand right there nobody stealing nobody's doing nothing they called me a b**** or w**** and we are in the hood so we have to watch everything I felt like my rights were violated I will not shop at Family Dollar anymore for the rest of my life I would like this dealt with or I'm getting a lawyer.

I had a bad experience this morning it was around 10am me and my aunt was in the store she's whit why I'm black and we will stop because they kept walking between us and excuse us playing like they doing a work but and thinking we're stealing that's why they watching us I never stole nothing out that store that content://media/external/file/8237look so she told me that God looks high and low and said that they was doing there job they was not doing a job she was so rude, in a nice way god got her back and all kind of things

Family Dollar complaints about a family dollar employee

I just had a bad experience at the family dollar nearby my house located at 8120 Atlantic Blvd Jacksonville, Florida [protected]. I was doing laundry and I didn't have enough detergent. I had to rush to family dollar with my 4 years old son. I know I wouldn't spend a lot time ;therefore I didn't put my son in a cart. I usually do so because I know my son won't stay still at the store. When I got in line, the line was long and it was only 1 person at the register. Therefore, I ended up spend more time at the line and my son was moving a little bit, but with control. There was a lady in front of me that my son might have touched occasionally and my son did talk to her, but she didn't talk to my son. When it is time for the lady in front of me to get to the register, I notice she was kind of pissed off and she was talking to the employee at the register. And the lady at the resgister wass shaking her head in disbelief or disappointment. I didn't pay attention I just got hold of my son until the lady in front of me was yelling that my son was hitting her. I was like my son may have touched you but didn't hit you. I was like " I will not let you get to me, you might have a problem but I'm not the problem. I was calm until the employee at the register backed her up. The employee affirmed that my son did hit the woman and started yelling and telling me to control my son. At that point I was so mad because God knows my son was behaving very well. My son was just being friendly to the lady in front and she maybe  just doesn't like or have kids or she is frustrated. I'm mad and even crying right now because the black employee  at the register was siding with the lady. She was telling me to control my son when my son was not even uncontrollable. My son was acting normal and bieng friendly with the lady in front of me. I don't have any problem with the lady who was being mean to my son  because I might never ever met her in my life again, but what about the employee at the register? If I go to that family dollar again I will see that employee over and over and that will remind me of that awful experience which makes me emotional. On top of that I'm pregnant. I didn't like that fact the employee was talking about my son with the lady in front of me and I don't like the fact she is being judgmental. I'm a preschool teacher and I have seen uncontrollable kids, but they still kids . My son can be hyper but I try my best to control my son. My son is just a 4 years old boy bieng friendly with everyone. The employee has no right to get in the middle of this and to side with the lady. I will never go to that family dollar any more until I know for sure the employee is reprimanded about her behavior toward my son. How would I go to a store when I know an employee was being judgmental about my son? I felt humiliated mostly by the employee who sided with the mean lady in front of me. Why all that happened? Mostly because the line was long and there was 1 employee  at the resgister. There was another employee who was walking around and doing nothing about the long line. Some people even ask her to step in because the line is too long; she refused. They were not friendly at all. Therefore, I ended up spending more time at the store. I was only there to grab the soap detergent and finish my laundry. I was not looking for trouble. If I knew I would spend all this time at the store, I would put my son in the cart. That was an awful experience. I couldn't even sleep lassleepht thinking about the whole thing. People can be so judgemental

Was in there today around 3:00pm on 8/14/2017
The girl behind the counter was too busy on her cell phone to want to get up and ring up my purchase. She sat there texting and when she did finally get up she continued to text like I wasn't even standing there. Seriously? Family Dollar you have the worst customer service I have ever seen.. It's not one store either. You have multiple stores that are dirty and your employee's are lazy and just don't care about the public. This was the last time I will ever step foot into your stores. I will also share my experience with others. If that were my employee I would replace her.

Family Dollar the manager false allegations...

To Whom this may concern, Im a resident of Houston, Tx and I'm reaching out to your company concerning your Store on Hammerly blvd store#5348. Yesterday August 13. I was Humiliated by your store manager Mercedes(the name provided) on yesterday with false allegations of theft. I shop there often i have never taken anything without paying. She also claimed that her and i have had words before. I assured her that she was mistaken. She done this in front of the store and my nephew.i have never been more humiliated. I asked her could i see a picture of the person she's is claiming me to be. She said she would show it to the police.she couldnt show it to me. So then the police comes to Seller brothers to talk to me..they told me she said im not welcome in the store. Thats Fine my family will never shop at any of your stores. Im hurt and humiliated. Im talking to my lawyer so i can retrieve a copy the tape to prove my innocence and hopefully you find a better Manager for your store. . I will be filing a suit against your company. They did the same thing to me in the Family Dollar store in Salton City, CA. When the manager approached me she said " you look like someone that was not allowed in the store." Therefore I told her I wanted to see an incident report and she told me that a police officer had to be present. I said it was fine I will wait and she replies "I can't right now because we have a big line." I left her my name and phone number and told her to contact me when she finds the footage of me steeling, I told her I've never stolen anything in my life and I won't start now. She never called me back. I contacted corporate office and complained about her and all they did was send me an email to tell me that they would investigate that incident. Just like you I was humiliated by the actions of that so called manager. The next time I went, she called the police on me and try to have me arrested, and up to this point I have not seen any footage of me taking anything and they won't have anything because I don't need to steal because I work for all I need. Family Dollar being cheated out of my money!!!

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

My name is Charles F. Thirkield and I am residing here in the city of columbus and the state of georgia...

The reason that I am COMPOSING this notation is because i went to one of your family dollars franchise store here in the city of columbus... STORE#08860 810 FORT BEINNING ROAD COLUMBUS, GEORGIA 31903 approximately around 8:04:47 ON 08-13-17 to purchase some edible items... THE TOTAL OF MY PURCHASE CAME OUT TO BE $26.83 SO I HAD GIVEN THE CASHIER $27.00 EVENLY AND MY CHANGE THAT I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED BACK SHOULD HAVE BEEN 0.17 CENTS WHICH IS ONE DIME, ONE NICKEL AND TWO PENNIES TO BE EXACT... THE CASHIER HAD GIVEN ME BACK 0.12 CENTS WHICH WAS ONE DIME AND TWO PENNIES... SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME ON HOW CAN 0.12 BE MISTAKEN AS 0.17 CENTS? IT IS VERY ODD THAT THE MANAGER OF THAT STORE WOULD ALLOW AN UNTRAINED CASHIER TO OPERATE AN CASH REGISTER WITHOUT BEING SUPERVISED... BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF SUPERVISION I WAS CHEATED OUT OF MY MONEY BY THE CASHIER... THE SAD PART IS, THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THE SOMETHING OF THIS NATURE HAS HAPPENED TO ME... Family Dollar yahoo city location broadway st

I went to purchase items with my daughter. Apparently my daughter and family dollar employee Nei Balam has a problem with each other She refused to ring up my items saying someone else was coming to do it After a 10 minutes wait I said this didn't make any sense Nei Balam proceed to cursing me out calling me all kinds of foul names then she threaten to do bodily harm to myself and my daughter I proceed to call the police where Nei Balam stated we were banned from the store for no apparent reason other than she dislikes my daughter I'm pursuing a criminal complaint assault by threatening I want some kind of discipline done to this employee

Family Dollar a replaced item

I went to family dollars in Laurel Hill, NC. I sent 14 year old daughter in the store to buy a bottle of hot sauce. As she's grabbing her bag the hot sauce feel out. The cashier which is the store GM her name is Daisy. So my daughter comes out the store saying " mama I dropped the hot sauce in the store the cashier saw it fall and everything. So I need more money to get another one. With my receipt I go back on the store with my daughter and ask the cashier ( Daisy ). Since my daughter just bought that bottle can I get another one I have my receipt. She said no I had to buy another bottle. That's the stupidest thing ever. What was the problem with just giving me another bottle. Y'all have had many complaints on this same lady over and over. She should be fired she not friendly, she doesn't do go work period. So what's the hold up on Daisy getting FIRED!?

Family Dollar returning an item

I purchased a universal remote granted it was only $10 but it didn't work the girl said if it doesn't work I can bring it back with the receipt. Then I question the cashier because half of my receipt printed and half of mine did not the was that going to be a problem just in case she said no it will be fine.
So of course it doesn't work and I bring it back today only to be told because the full barcode did not print I could not get the cash back that I paid I would have to get a store credit.
So after I explained to the cashier what the other girl said I hear them tell another customer sorry I can't even give you a receipt because none are printing. So then she proceeded to talk over me and repeat herself which I did explain I am not to I understand what you were saying but your employee told me that I could return it with that particular receipt it would be no problem.
I could not figure out why they could not just print me a normal receipt like you get it a normal store and not be so lazy to just let me leave the store knowing I can't return the item because of the barcode. Then she told me it wouldn't have made a difference because nobody can do that in the store once it prints it prints.
So I did advise or yes there is a way to do it she may want to go to her employer to learn her job. I am in the store daily literally and she is the only person that ever gives me a hassle and it's not the cashier that sold me that item it's a girl I met with today.
The last time we were in there she was so miserable because she had to go to the bathroom and nobody could relieve her so she was slamming things into the bag I mean it's absolutely absolutely ridiculous. I did not tell her to take this job it is not brain surgery!
I usually will always try to deal with Mary because she has a personality she tries to help you and if she can't she tries to solve what the problem is always always very considerate and respectful.
