Family Dollar previous employee 6239934

I came into work July 23rd 2018 in fort Morgan Colorado, I was an assistant store manager store 5933. My store manager Ashley Wesley as soon as I walked in for my shift started to verbally attack me about work that was messed up I tried to communicate what I had completed miscommunication led to previous work being taken down, I offered to complete the work again she started saying no I don't have associates I can count on, she called me a liar to my face, she started complaining that she would have to unload truck on her paid time off since truck was delayed she scheduled myself and the other manager 6 days this week without our consent. Our job does not require us to work 6 days and it was my scheduled day off. She continued complaining so I told her to get over it just like we had to get over working 6 days this week she got up from the computer trying to argue with me. The whole time customers were in the store hearing all of this. My frustration was growing and since it didn't seem that she was going to let me just get to my work I said if you don't have associates you can count on you don't need me here enjoy running the store by yourself, she said if I left she would contact district manager Cathy and tell her she was firing me. I laid my keys on the counter and walked out. Professalim is very inportant to me and that kind of behavior was very inappropriate, and customers did not look happy. I have worked in customer service 17 years and never felt the need to leave to avoid further confrontation. When I arrived home I contacted the district manager Cathy to alert her of the situation she said she would have to speak with the other team members, and then the phone call ended. I tried contacting human resources to file a complaint but never got through. I have ran many businesses if this was my company I would be very concerned. Associates should never be confronted in front of customers, following an associate to further an argument when associate is trying to get away from situation is inappropriate. This had been happening for about a month prior to this incident. Hostile work environment is wrong, I made the best decision I could make under the circumstances, and contacted proper chain if command. I ask that you look into this matter. Family Dollar customer service

I asked if I could get cAsh back so don't hzve to pay extra fee somewhere else . Asked how much I said 30$ she said well I really don't hzve it got a attitude went to safe like to hurry to open it cause I wanted cash back then came back to counter and said it only lets you take 25$ or next 50$ but still got a attitude . I alreAdy don't like going out in public. And insteaD if saying all that to me she should hzve just said no or put up a note again I see that plenty in there . Like they don't like you getting cash back . Will make a person go out farther to get what they need cause people are so rude in there.

Sometimes they don't let you get cashback because cashiers are only allowed to have so much cash in their tils. Plus they don't like when cashiers use up their small change. So if a person behind you took all the 20s and 10s, they would have to spend the small change and get in trouble if they give cash back. Oops my explanation went too long. But it is nothing personal, for the most part. But they should never be rude to you either way.

I went into the store to purchase some gum. The cashier finally came out after I said hello several times (few minutes passed). I paid for the gum, she gave me change then slid the gum to me without a bag. I asked for a bag, she gave me a stare, then said, "You want a bag for that". I said yes, she bagged the gum then turned away with a mean look.

This cashier was very rude and without a doubt should not be representing your company. I have been in this store several times and the other cashiers were always polite and helpful.

Family Dollar service

No one at register. One register had light on showing it's open. Unloaded our basket at that register and rang the bell for service. No one came. Rang bell again. Finally service and both came and she said I can get you on 1, which light was not on. Had to move all our things to register one. No greetings. She kept talking to the other worker who was disrespectful for taking employees attention away from what she was doing. Told us the total, I paid by debit card. Had to get the receipt myself. Neither one paid attention to us getting our things, getting our receipt, nor as we walked outside. Never had a problem here before but also have never seen these 2 working their on our previous visits.

Family Dollar complaint

last week a new manager located on Ridge ave, Philadelphia pa zip code 19128. Left her register as soon as I walked in with about 6, 7 people in line with no back up employee there to tell me at the diaper section which I was going to buy diapers and other items that in not aloud in the store anymore unless I purchase iteams I have her name and date and time wrote dwn at home on my calender. Cearia i believe her name was. im very uoset and disappointed. i cried when i left in front of my child which is not good cause i always was a perfered customer. I would like to someone to call me about this . sShe should not have a job talking to customers like that, there is no sign up stating that customers can't come in without buying something.

Family Dollar coffee

Why did you take away family gourmet donut shop blend medium roast coffee 12 single serve cups replace it with chestnut hill donut shop blend medium roast coffee this coffee is so strong the family gourmet is very good and smooth I've been buying this for quite some time why is it if the product is good and everyone buys it you stop making it and replace it with something else which is no good you would think if people like something you should keep it I don't understand it

Family Dollar family dollar on rising sun avenue philadelphia pa 19111

I have been waiting for the store to open for several minutes. It there are about 7 other customers who have been waiting for much longer. The store hours state that it opens at 8am but it is now 9:03am. This is very unprofessional and could lose me and these other people as customers for good! Dollar general here we come! So many people have already furiously walked away.

Family Dollar customer service rude employee/management

Went to the family dollar located at 1153 fulton grand rapids michigan 49504 store #10127 on july 22 2018. Waited in a line for about 20 min to be checked out when i finally reached the counter i tried to put my merchandise on the counter when i was told by the employee not to move his closed lane sign even though he was open cashing me out. I then told him i needed to put my stuff on the counter and asked why i couldn't move the sign out of my way because the lane was not closed at that time anyways. He then got rude and yelled at so i asked to speak with the manager he told me he was the manger so i asked to talked to someone else he then told me if i wanted better employees that i could appy for a job. I'm so sickened by this i been a customer at that location for almost 2 years and now i feel as if my business does not matter to family dollar because loyal customers or any customer should never be treated like that by any employee. I did get the mans first name it is Nick and he is supposedly the manager at family dollar store # 10127 located at 1153 fulton street west Grand Rapids, Michigan 49504. Please help further assist this problem please. Thank you.

Family Dollar store closing 10 minutes early on friday june 20,2018 and refusing service to regular nightly customer.

Good afternoon I am submitting this complaint due to store 04431 closing early last evening friday july 20th 2018 for no apparent reason. The store clerk and manager we're counting down the register as i'm at the door confused as to why it was locked at 9:54. I just got a hunched shoulder too bad so sad attitude and they continuing closing till-cash drawer. I work at the local piccadillys 2 miles up the street. I'm a long time customer who has always had a friendly experience when stopping by. I don't linger, or delay, ever. I'm in and out in a jiffy. But on this night I felt inconvienced, embarrassed and insulted for nothing I did as a customer but stop by. I always come at 945 to 955 and greeted with smiles and laughter. This time it was not the case and I had to back track to walgreens or winn dixie are 2 stores I passed by to be a patron of family dollar. Fast in and out service, convenient, kind. Not this night. Why?

Family Dollar customer service

I was in the Family Dollar Store of Wichita Street in Forest Hill Texas and the cashier screamed "young man" at me and said "I'm trying to get ya'll up outta here." That's not the way to address the customer. I would like someone to bring attention to this situation and possibly provide more training. I am a resident of Forest Hill, TX and I go to this particular store all the time to purchase items. I would like for someone to follow up with me on this issue. The issue took place on 7/20/18 @ 915pm. She was trying to rush us out of the store, but the store doesn't close until 10pm.

Family Dollar employees

I live in Sandyville, WV. A Family Dollar store is a couple miles from me, which I frequent almost daily. An employee there by the name of "Summer" is quite possibly the rudest individual working in customer service that I've ever encountered. She has NEVER said "hello" to me, nor "thank you". She is on the phone half of the time she waits on me. Rude also. I myself work in customer service, and this is unacceptable! We all have bad days, but me shopping at your store helps her get a paycheck. I will drive the extra miles to a different store because of this employee. Everyone else that works there is super nice. She acts like she hates her job. And her facial expressions validate that as well, a long with her crappy attitute.

Family Dollar general service

At the family dollar in fairplay colorado I have noticed ever since the new manager Wayne took over as manager, the store has gone way downhill. The products are always sold out, boxes full of new product are everywhere in the aisles blocking what little product is on the shelves, and in general the service is terrible from Wayne the manager in particular. The other employees seem nice, but obviously are either understaffed, poorly trained, or lazy as I have gone in 4 days in a row and still no milk or 2 liters of coca cola. The manager wayne is also very disrespectful and never seems to enjoy being there. He never once has called anyone sir or ma'am, instead calling everyone "bub" and he always seems to be in a bad mood. The one person I know who respect my asked him to not call him bub was very rudely told to vacate the store. The store has not been good since patty was manager, and is going further and further downhill since wayne took over.

I went to family dollar to day in Honor, Michigan, it was the nastiest one I've ever been to, your manager should be fired, it was so dirty, my shoes almost came off due to floor being sticky, you should go in there and look your self, the one in Beulah, Michigan is nasty too, I'm not the only person that says this, I will go somewhere else, I think you should fire manager.

Family Dollar money/job

Hey my name is marquise Galloway and I am trying to figure out why I haven't heard from you guys either regarding my job or the money I earned while working as an employee for your company. I was hired in late November of 2017 and began working that next month of January. I was employed at the 95 & Racine store. My manger was texting me my schedule every week but she didn't inform me she quit and I haven't been to work since may of 2018. I just want the money I earned or my job back because I was never fired or anything. I don't want to have to take things into a different direction and file a lawsuit. I should either still be employed or at least receiving the money I earned while working at your companies store. So if you don't want a lawsuit on your companies hands, I think it's best if someone contacted me regarding my money or job. Thank you

Family Dollar employee treatment

Store number 8903 on Broadway in San Antonio Texas. I was hired about 3 months ago and have worked hard. Store manager Alice just hired an older lady about 2 weeks ago and she is giving the new hire more work hours than myself and one of her asst manager. Something isn't quite right. I do not have Kim dist mgr. number but she needs to know. Alice cannot pick up after herself (coffee cups and trash all over her register) and she has a bad attitude she exhibits in front of customers. Appreciate your help and support in this matter. Store could have more business with a better friendly attitude.

Family Dollar general manager's customer service

I live in Sevierville, Tn and only 2 miles from a Family Dollar. It has been my main shopping store for 20 years now; however, I refuse to do business at ANY Family Dollars any more. The other day, I went into the Family Dollar (located at 120 East Main Street, Sevierville, Tn) and the General Manager himself was rude and dishonest. The store's number is #00437 and one of my 3 receipts from the encounter is TXN number 9448. I tried to purchase ALL the solar bulbs the store had. There were two individual types and a sale sign that read 25% off ALL SOLAR MERCHANDISE. Upon checkout, I brought this to the GM attention as he was about to charge me. He then went back and ripped the signs down and said they had went off sale the day before. I told him there was no date on the signs and he needed to honor it. Instead he charged me for the full amount. At which point, I asked for a refund for the bulbs. He refunded them explaining it was NOT possible to get the register to honor the sale anyway. I confronted him and said that, as the GM, he KNOWS he could adjust the price to honor the sale. He admitted to knowing such. I explained I had been a loyal customer for 20 years and that the difference. In the bulbs' price was not worth losing me permanently as a customer AND my $73.00 purchase I just made. He was cocky, arrogant, and unwilling to listen or save the purchase. I then asked for a refund for ALL my remaining items. He refunded them and kept my original receipt. I have called your customer service line twice now and left messages. NOBODY has called me. I have never in my life seen such wretched customer service. I stood there and watched him lie to a customer about the restroom being down for repair when the week before it was closed as well. The worker explained there is no public restroom anymore. I have personally cleaned the restroom at this location due to it being so poorly staffed. It was filthy (feces smeared on floor, toilet, and the wall)and I found a syringe on the floor behind the toilet. My daughter was with me and can vouch for this. I work in social media marketing. I am not only angry, but utterly disappointed in your company. I will be posting a copy of this complaint on several sites with photos of ALL my receipts from that day. As far as I am concerned, the public needs spared from this store and their management's obvious indignant behavior.

Family Dollar management

Family Dollar store # 998 on corner of New Boston rd and Summer Hill manager is always outside in her car during work hours and is plotting false accusations against another employee. Her name is Jessica. I shop there alot and she always seem to have one worker inside doing all the work (Kyra) while she sits outside socializing or in her car. I began taking photos as proof that she is always outside and hardly ever working. I have also witnessed Jessica the manager stand there doing nothing while customers are piling up to be checked out by one worker kyra. My main concern is that I overheard Jessica stating to another worker that she was going to get an employee Kyra fired by making her register short. Kyra is normally the one I see doing all the work in the store. Please take immediate action before that poor young lady gets set up. She is a very polite worker that is super helpful and she doesn't deserve that. The management there is horrible.

Family Dollar slow and insolent service

Several times I have found myself inline in this store with a couple of items in hand while the staff on check-out "passed the time of day" with customers. On these occasions, I have simply dumped my would-be purchases and walked out: my time is precious.
I have also been bluntly told to go to another check-out with no hint of civility.
Finally, I have several times been asked for money; sometimes outside the store, but more than once inside the store, by "panhandlers" with hard luck stories. It seems to me that when such individuals are approaching multiple customers, the store manager should take an interest and ask them to move on.
All in all, a sad and sorry store to visit.

Family Dollar filthy store

everything about this store is a f*ing DISASTER!
dirty, carts and boxes taking up the isles, the employees yelling to each other from one end of the store to the other, items are not priced. Absolutely NO organization! When walking in the front door, one can only think to themselves "what in the methamphetamine is going on here?!" complete and utter chaos! who is in charge of that place? they need to be replaced, or retrained. My advise is to get rid of her! ASAP

Family Dollar printed manufacturer's coupon

On Sunday, July 15, 2018 around 2:15pm. I went into Store #3635 located in Lithonia, Ga to redeem a printed manufacturers coupon for Gain Liquid Detergent and was told that this store does not take printed manufacturer's coupon. Taking the manager's word I went back and re-read the Family Dollar coupon policy again and re-entered the store once again to show him what the coupon policy states for family dollar. He then tells me that I can contact corporate because this particular store does not take printed manufacturers coupons and that the store only takes the ones cut from the newspaper. I am contacting corporate because this is not stated in the policy and I only had one more day to use the manufacturer's coupon. So I need clarity, Do Family Dollar take Printed Manufacturer's Coupons or not and if not it needs to be stated in the Coupon Policy
