Family Dollar safety issues, manager unprofessional behavior, coupon items not available first day of sale

Today, 4/19, 2018, several isles were blocked by dollies filled with unstocked items. Isles were blocked on both ends, for example, the grocery isle I needed to go down was completely blocked. I went to another store. I have stumbled because of isles blocked by boxes. The customer in front of me today had a complaint about a coupon item being out of stock on the first day of the sale. The cashier went outside where the manager was and tried to resolve it. Apparently, the manager said the coupon would not be honored. She asked to speak to the manager and was told that the manager was outside in his car on his break. Not only is that unprofessional but several times when I pull into the parking lot he is outside. The customer left her items on the counter and in her basket and told the cashier to tell him that she would shop there again. I shop there at least 3x a week but I have been going to Dollar General and avoiding Family Dollar. I have been a customer for many years and have never seen this location in the condition it is now.

Family Dollar animals in store

I was just at this store to get a few items and the cashier had a dog behind the register and someone brought in their dog. This is not the first time people bring dogs in the store, I have seen numerous people bring in animals, and the manager dose nothing about it, I like animals but I an allergic to dogs and I am unsure that every time I go to that store that there will be a dog in there or someone will bring one in.

Family Dollar bullying and harassment by employee

On Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at approximately 7:00 pm my nephew went into the Family Dollar located at 3626 N. Las Vegas Blvd. in N. Las Vegas, NV 89115 to purchase 2 packages be of hot dog buns while his Mom, who was recently diagnosed with cancer waited in the car. He paid for his purchase and when leaving the sensor started beeping. He stopped and waited for an employee to respond. An Asian woman took him back to the counter and retrieved his bag, check the items and receipt. She then looked him up and down front and back and told him to empty his pockets. He did as instructed. She was loud, rude and demeaning while customers watched on. When she decided he wasn't a theif. She walked away in silence. Mind you, the entire time, she was loud and nasty so everyone could here her. But, when she realized she was wrong, silence. Didn't apologise, say you can go, nothing. Just walked away after keeping him for almost 30 minutes. My nephew is an Honor Student and was mortified and embarrassed to say the least. He has been in this store almost daily as well, as the rest of our family. I have tried to contact the store but, can not seem to reach anyone. This employee needs to be made aware of her behavior. Don't forget, Mom was waiting in the car. This is not acceptable and it will not go on. I will wait for a response before I move further with this. I'm absolutely livid and something will be done.

Family Dollar incident inside store aisle

To whom it may concern, I am a very upset with my visit of your above listed store last night. It has been many times that I have visited that store since it opened and each time I go there, no one there speaks any English, yet I never let that bother me until last night. While shopping with my fiance last night for some BC Powder for pain that I was already having, after picking up the item, I was ahead of my fiance to left turn down towards the cashier aisle and behold there was a storage container that should have been in the back storage area or maintenance area that I end up tripping over... I was able to brace myself from hitting the floor, but in the process from hitting the container unexpectedly my left leg was twisted. I was in so much pain after that moment, I had to lean over the counter near the end where the container was. The cashier never paid any attention as to what had happen, not sure if she realized it at the moment. Anyway, once I was able to move, I headed down to where the cashier was assisting another customer. Then there was another lady that came to the front, which I began to ask her was she the Manager and she addressed me with a confused facial, don't understand what I was saying motion at that moment it was apparent that she did not speak English. So I ask the cashier if she spoke English and she said no. I then tried motion signals, by pointing and speaking towards the container at the end letting her know that I had tripped over it. Me being in pain, my fiance then guided her down towards the end where the container was as she walked along while still behind the counter, he pointed it out to her as well as trying to tell her in English, but she clearly seemed as though she had no idea what he was saying. Yet the part that upset me on top of being in more pain, was that the cashier or the other person never even moved the container, never tried to understand what we were saying. I need you to know that just last year May 5th 2017 I had to have a full hip replacement on the left side that hit the container in one of your stores. It is unacceptable that the aisle, especially where the cashier is would have containers in the walking area of the customer's that can't be seen and just sitting there in a bad place that can cause someone to fall and seriously injure themselves. Yes I was already in pain, which is why we were there to buy the BC Powder medicine and that hazardous environment that night at the store number listed did nothing more than to cause me more sever pain. No I did not call the police, though the thought did cross my mind and No I did not go to the emergency room, though the thought did cross my mind, but I did take the medicine that I bought, I did get up this morning still limping in pain as I explained to my Manager this morning, all just to be able to sit down at this very moment to go to your website and write about this incident. Therefore, please know that I plan on continuing to address this issue by contacting the Better Business Bureau to make sure that my letter of incident has been addressed by your company. I did notice after the incident that the store has camera's, so the incident as I have described should be recorded. I also took a photo of the container that was left in the aisle after reporting it to the cashier. ( Andrea Byrd )

Family Dollar manager donna parker

true story that happened to me: please read entire post and share and tag people.. Backup page Jay Partin

For those that don't know I was a manager at Family Dollar in Raleigh, NC for sometime. I left Rock Quarry Rd store from Amber Pike was an awesome store manager/trainer and went to south Wilmington st where the trouble began. So on my first day as Assistant Manager at this store with a lady named "Donna Parker" I text her and asked her for the safe code and her response was "Justin A [censor]ing n[censor]" (pic below) so I immediately was like wait what the [censor]! When I finally answered her call she kept telling me how sorry she was etc etc so I hung up on her.

So then I proceeded to call my district manager Michael Mason to make him aware of the situation and he had the nerve to tell me it could've been a typo and that he don't need that kind of drama... how in the hell is it a typo when her response should've only been numbers!? Then I have him on a recorded conversation with him telling me he's not going to do nothing about it, everything is going to stay the same and if I want to continue to work at family dollar I have to make it work with her there. So I called out the next day because I couldn't work a 9hr shift with her I was in pure Disgust with her.

Once My district manager did nothing about it I called Mrs. Tish HR with Family dollar and was told she said she's going to stick with Michael decision. Then I called corporate and they gave me a ticket number and contacted Mike and Mike told them he took care of it (which he didn't)

I ended up filing a complaint with the EEOC!

So Michael Mason ended sending me to New Bern Ave store with Jabir Suluki and that's when more trouble began. My hours went from 36-40 hours a week to 28-32 hours a week. And family dollar has a policy about Retaliation which Jabir actually sent me the other day (April 13, 2018) pic below.

My last day was April 7, 2018 when I was leaving for my shift and my register was $94 short. Yes $94 so I was like what in the heck. So The Money I was short ended up being in the Safe because the safe was $100 over and I never got the change I needed for my register. Mind you me and another manager named Mark Byrd counted it together and both saw it was over $100 so that's what happened I added that Money to my deposit and left for the day.

Also you see jabir on camera going in my register when I wasnt around!

So come Sunday 4/8/18 I called the store and cashier answered the phone and I asked her when the next time I work and she handed the phone to Jabir and he send ummm come in at 3pm so I come in look at the schedule I had no days on the schedule I'm like wtf and asked mark wassup with that he said jabir not done with it... so I end of talking to Jabir and he was like he basically had to take me off becUse of my shortage and I said I was never short my money was in the safe and he told me well immediately after I left Mark counted the Safe behind me and it was $100 short so he put the money back. So I said let's watch the camera he said I will and will give you a call and I said nah buddy we gone watch it now so me and jabir watched the camera together and on camera you see me and mark count the Safe I took the $100 out that it was over and Mark put it in envelope and dropped it with my other deposit.

So as we watching the camera soon as I left Mark lied. He never went in the safe until 2 in a half hours later. But he never counted the safe. Mark closed with Tara Beautifulone Womack and they both are seen on camera using each other register poor cash handling etc etc. so as we continue to watch Mark was short Some Money and they both were trying to find it. So on camera you see Mr. Mark Byrd take money out my deposit to cover his shortage which made me $104 short and I was terminated by it!

Like I told Jabir his money could be short when he sends his cashier Tara to the bank or when he sends his relative that's not even a family dollar associate.

Then Jabir ends up taking time from me out the system which I worked and owes me 16 hrs + for PTO time so he says I have to come in and approve my time or I'm not getting laid which I have never ever done before while working with Family Dollar!

Bottom line I was screwed and I want everyone to know...

Family Dollar associate conduct

I am complaining about blatant drug abuse by a store associate. The associate has been noticed on and away from her position abusing illegal street drugs. This person, Breanea C. Loveless has even been known to have drugs on her during working hours. I have reported a few of the instances that I have noticed, and was then directed to use The FD website. The store #3187 in Mobile, AL. I have spoken with managers that have charge over her and was told that the hiring and firing of an associate could only be handled by corporate. So needless to say she remains employed. Although she comes to work reeking of marijuana, high, and with drugs in her possession. And I do have both pictures and videos of the associate getting high while still in Family Dollar attire prior to and after her shift. These pictures and videos have been turned over to her manager, but I too have some in my possession if needed for proof of this complaint. 04/17/2018.

Someone has either hacked my Facebook account, and possibly Family Dollar's network as well. I am the person who submitted the original complaint on Me Loveless. I have not attempted to remove the complaint or alter it. But obviously Someone has! And by reading the comments, it seems as tho they also wish to discredit myself so that it would appear the complaint lacks credibility. Which should also concern someone that a complaint may be altered and the system manipulated. I can only assume that this was done in an attempt to retain or transfer the employee. Not of any concern to me. My concern was only to report the violation, and now to find out how my Facebook account has been compromised and by whom. The truth is in the video that I will repost.

Furthermore if there is a repost, comment, or an attempt to remove or edit my reposting of the initial complaint. It will not be of my own doing. 4/20/2018

I want to take this down. The truth is that I made this all up because the employee Breanea C. is going out with the man that I broke up with because he refused to pay for my meals when we went out on dates. Now she is threatening to sue me for slander if I do not remove this.

Family Dollar employee at webster, ny store

Today, I went to the Dollar Store to pick up some craft supplies for my granddaughter. After walking through the store and not finding anything on my list, I saw a man putting items away on the shelves. I said, Do you work here? and he respond in a negative way, "Yes." So I asked him if he could tell me where I could find the items on my list. He said the only had one out of the 5 items and were out of glue but it should be in soon. Fine. When I go to check out, he was at the register. I showed him a pack of 2 aluminum pans that were packaged together, so should be $1. I showed him a receipt from my last visit and that the cashier had charged me $1 for each pan in the package. I had grabbed the Lasagna Pans to show him what I meant He said are these exactly like the ones you bought? I said no, but if you want I will go back and find them. So he said, I'll give you this pack at no charge but your receipt is from 3/22/18. In the future try to be more timely when returning things. I told him I would have been in sooner but my father passed away on March 31st and I haven't been out much. Then I told him I could not believe
he was making such a big deal over $1. He told me I was the one making a big deal over $1. Really? He was arrogant and rude. If he does not want to treat customers in a respectful way he should find another job.

Resolution? I think his Name Tag read Tim or Jim. I would hope someone could tell him that if he is that unhappy with his job/life he need to find another one. He doesn't know what each person he has contact with is going through. He totally ruined my day with his negative attitude and I don't think I will be going back to The Dollar Tree anytime soon.

Family Dollar edison light sets

I recently picked up your weekly ad 4/9-4/29 that had a picture of the Edison Light Set 10ct. I thought these lights would be nice for my yard/patio. Little did i know that i would have to search 10 stores and drive more than 15miles outside of my neighborhood to find them . Which is strange because there are 2 FD stores less than 1 mile frim my home. Can someone please explain why NONE of my local branches had received these Edison Light Sets to sell. I asked each store mgr and each one said their stores did not receive those lights. Can someone rectify this situation? What is the point of having a store in walking distance if i cant get what i want there and end up wasteing time, gas and more money to find the products i want across town?

Family Dollar customer service

The family dollar store in hutchins tx and went to pot since stacy left... The store is always nasty, boxes stacked in the middle of the walk way. Some rolls you cant even get down due to boxes.
The atmosphere is like walking into the club. Yes! I said walking into the club the cashiers have their phones on playing music. Theirs a few cashiers that will check up out while making a personal call on their personal phones.
Went into the store around 10am on April 15, 2018 and was greeted at the door by a cashier dont know her name due to nobody wears a name tag. Which told me their only taking cards no cash. Something needs to be done about this store. What happened? In the past year the Hutchins texas family dollar has done awhole 360 but not for the good. Please please review the tapes at the store or just drop in a see for yourself. Thank you and have a blessed day

Family Dollar store hours

I recently visited a Family Dollar located at 5808 W. Hampton Ave in Milwaukee, WI. Now just to let you know I work just a few blocks from this location and also live close to this location as well so I frequently do my shopping here. The store is to open at 8am the store is NEVER OPEN at the specified time. Today I arrived at the store @8:15am and their vendor truck was there with bars over the store. NO EMPLOYEES TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE! And this is not the first time that I have visited this particular store and have encountered the same thing. The parking lot is treacherous for parking. I absolutely enjoy shopping with the Family Dollar franchise but there is some work that could be done. Another instance would be that every time I visit this store the workers have no RESPECT for the customers as far as staying on the phone talking while checking someone out...having the music playing from the phone that has vulgar/offensive language...that's just to name a few things that I see. Professionalism should always be key!

Family Dollar customers allowed to use ebt cards for purchases other than food.

I was in the Oak Grove La Family Dollar store around 5:20-5:25pm today the 10th of April, 2018. I'm pretty sure the lady in front of me purchased 2 rugs with a food stamp card (EBT).I heard this has happened
before with people buying cigarettes.
you may want to check it out before the law gets involved and gives your
store a bad name. The manager/cashier never batted an eye with it?
I understand people having to have help...for food, not rugs or cigarettes.
I truly hope you look into this.

Small bi-monthly cash benefits are put onto EBT cards, so there is a food balance and a cash balance. You can use the cash balance to buy anything, or to get cash from an ATM.

Family Dollar rats in store and chewed product on shelves, smells of rat urine poop

We had the misfortune of shopping to see rats running amok in store. Which caused great concern to even touch product. Since there for a few things tiolet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dawn we walked out spending $ 36.13.
I had read 2 wks ago of a problem of rats, mice etc both inside and outside the store #08692 - Southfield, Ecorse MI. We chose to go to this store since it was new built. We could go to Lincoln Park store. But chose 08692 was bigger & more organized.
With that being said, we wont shop there or many local people either. Why the store remains open until it is safely eradicated & humans can trust products contaminated free? Let alone dodge rats/ mice scurrying about. If anyone has kids, I shudder about their danger.

Family Dollar no public restroom

I was at the Family Dollar #04281 in Oklahoma City. I desperately needed to use the restroom. I am 52 years old and a Diabetic. When a Diabetic has to go to the restroom, they have to go right now. If they don't and the nerve relaxes, they can urinate on themselves. I asked for a restroom and the clerk was telling me that I could go to a local business. I stated that I was a Diabetic and that I needed to go now. I told her there are 23 million Diabetics in America with up to 86 million to develop Diabetes. She thought I was angry with her. I wasn't. I told her I have a Master of Public Health degree, wasn't dumb, and knew what I was talking about. She called her manager and told her I was mad because she wouldn't let me use the restroom. I told her I wasn't mad. She wanted to take issue and let me know it was a corporate rule. I told her I would be sending an email to corporate with my complaint. Dollar General has public restrooms and half the time they are open for the publics use. Sure sometimes they are out of order, but the fact is they have public restrooms and don't restrict usage. The only reason I continue to go to Family Dollar is because they carry the Just for Men hair color. Dollar General quit carry the brand that I use there. I may start going to Walmart and pay a couple dollars more just so I can have the assurance that I can use the restroom if I need it.
