Family Dollar store hours

The family dollar on moncrief road and 45th street in Jacksonville Florida hours are until 10pm. The past 2 days I've had to run up there and the doors were locked at 940pm the first time and 925pm tonight. The 2 ladies that were "working" were seen walking around the store, one of which seen me standing there as my son knocked on the door.
I don't think it's right for a store that's not supposed to close until 10pm can lock their doors when they feel like it. It's not fair, especially for single working mom's like me that don't get home until after 8pm and might run out of or even realize they're out of something.
This family dollar is the closest store to me. I'm in there almost daily in the morning before work/ school picking up snacks or cold coffee drinks, but with 5 kids things happen by the time I get off and I might need to run up there.

Family Dollar store manager

I seen the store manager at the one in Terre Haute I think the number is 2332 he had bought some kind of drugs off someone while he was working it was outside and after he got done he went back in the store to work. It's been a month but I really think someone should know about it. He is also very rude and does not get along with his customers. I have always been in retail and that isn't how to run a store I really think something should be done about it.

Family Dollar employee autumn

On Monday, March 19, 2018, I proceeded to the cashier to pay for my items which were edible. Upon reaching the counter (with two customers in front of me), I saw employee Autuum blow her nose into a tissue and then proceed to continue ringing customers out. At not time, did I see her sanitize her hand. So, when I did reach her, I asked her if she would sanitize her hand. She replied that she already did. I stated that I would appreciate it if she would again, because I did not see her do so and I was purchasing food. She became irate, told me "today is not the day" and refused to ring me up. I asked could I go to another cashier and was told there was none available. By this time, Autuum had sanitized her hand and still refused to ring me up and told me if I didn't move she was going to call the police.
Eventually, another cashier did ring me up and apologized for Autuum's behavior, all while Autuum was yelling at me "this is not the day, you are not ready for me." Get out the store. I'll call the police on you. Meet me at 10:30 when I get off... Needless, to say her actions were uncalled for. I had a right to ask her to sanitize her hand before touching my food and never was I rude to her but I did become argumentative with her after she refused to ring up my items. There were several people in the store during this and a few of them told me I was absolutely right to request that she sanitize her hands. I did ask for a supervisor and she said she was the supervisor and that I couldn't talk with anyone else. She then stated to her co-workers "Y'all better get her, cause this aint the day". I felt compelled to write and call this complaint in because it was embarrassing, threatening and insulting, to say the least.

Family Dollar rude worker smelling of weed.

While buying my items I was rang up twice for a product and was treated with rude behavior. The cashier did not want to fix the issue and then after I bought my items she threw my receipt away and would not give it to me. She smelled horrible like she smoked weed before she arrived to work and looked like she was high. I will not return to this store.

Family Dollar scott

I'm usually in this store well over 5 times a week! Scott is the only employee that will not speak when guest enters into this store.. On Sunday I went in and got some things to finish off dinner! I then notice the line I'm in say no 100s, Scott then opens his register and I ask if he could break 100.. The lady at the register says that she was about to give him change. I then ask if she give enough could he break it? He says depending on how much he would try his best. The lady had 2 different transactions with putting money on cards. First she wanted 500 second she wanted 300. Scott acted as if he had never counted money before and it took him atleast 5 times to count with each transaction! So now it's my turn my basket was behind the counter because I thought I would have to go get change until the lady said she was giving him. Scott gets a basket looks in my hand and tells me he can't break my 100! If he did it for me he would have to do it for everyone else! I explained that he wouldn't because at this point the store was empty and he clearly had change. He then looks threw my basket seeing it's food items and hair products for my daughter. He says OK I'll go ahead and do it this one time! I said OK thank you. I then said I don't understand why he wouldn't when he just made 800! He says oh you're counting my drawer? That it I'm done, I'm not helping you! I ask for corporate number! He hestiates and said, weelll! At this point it was to late! I left and go change! Come back and look behind the counter. My basket was gone yet 2 other baskets were behind the counter full of stuff! None of the items I purchased needed to be refrigerated! So I didn't understand that! I have never been treated this way by any employee! If he did want to take my money, when I asked could he break it he should have just said no, instead of embarrassing me saying, oh you counting my drawer I'm done! I work in customer service! I know the number one rule is friendliness and don't bring your issues to work! I sure do miss Fred! That store hasn't been the same since he had been gone!

Family Dollar service

Was at the Family Dollar in Jeffersonville, Ohio last night. I was ready to check out, I stood at the register for almost 10 minutes (not kidding) and finally walked through the store to fine an associate. She told me to ring the bell, there was no bell on the counter to ring. She then said Kristie (not sure on spelling) would be with me shortly. After a couple minutes, Kristie came up front, not a smile, she rolled her eyes to the top of her head when she walked in the swinging door to get to the register and she did not say one work to me, she just started punching buttons on the register. She was so rude and to me she has no business in that job if she can't stand it or the customers.

Today, my boyfriend went in the store and said he received the same treatment. He did not stand at the register for any length of time, but he said she was very unfriendly and did not even talk.

Family Dollar family dollar service/management

I came to family dollar to purchase 2 items (dove shea butter that cost $6.00 and crest mouthwash that cost $5.00. I proceeded to cash register near front door in which there was a small young female (look to be 20-25 years old if not younger) was working that register. The line had approximately 6 if not close to 7 customers. 1 customer being waited on had more than 7 items and the 2 young black females had numerous items between them (I believe close to between 35-45 items) which I considered bad service on family dollar's part as well as the 2 females who insisted on not allowing me and others behind them to proceed forward to checkout. This is the united states of america and we have standards as well as traditions that continue to be trampled upon by the new generations as well as family dollar employees who jump the gun and try to misconstrue a customer's intentions as well as integrity. I am a black man who has sent out numerous information to organizations who I witness that fail to meet the proper standards of laws, ethics and simply common courtesy. I have nothing personal against family dollar because me and my wife and friends and family like many others are pro-family dollar over many other stores such as dollar general, etc... But when my friend who called me on the phone who also exercises his 1st amendment like me and many others do when an issue rises, I couldn't help but just state the truth when he ask me what's going on. I told him i'm at a family dollar in which 2 young new generation (ng) females with tons of items in front of me and others refuse to be respectful to allow anyone to go before them to check out with our small amount of items. I also said that it's a damn shame how this (ng) folks even spread as far as to even family dollar employees. I told my friend there are over 6 or more customers and 1 register. I did ask the small white employee if she was getting ready to open a new register as I proceeded to it but she said she isn't. After that, I got more pissed and said this new generation people aint [censor]. Thy dont respect their elders, they can bring violence to schools, rude to people on public buses and i'm tired of it. Then out of nowhere some heavy set white female ask me to leave the store because I was so-called being rude to customers yet no customer responded to me stating I was rude or apparently someone bared shame to keep silent or I wasn't that rude with my truth that it is rude to not allow a customer to go before a person with numerous items being bought vs a few items. I only state the facts and this other female (bigger one with all respect) didn't use her discretion against insubordination (failing to timely serve customers by opening another register to check people out quicker) by pulling me aside and nicely questioning my verbalization regarding (ng) people and my words. To add insult to injury, this heavyset female called someone who I believe was the police in haste as oppose to doing the job she was foremost hired to do which is to keep a pleasant environment for family dollar customers by checking out customers timely. No, instead this female did what many employees do which is the new thing of passing the buck to tax-payers by calling police to take them away from more important matters to come to family dollar and assist her in a false criminal complaint instead of her choosing to do her job and allow people to speak their 1st amendment regarding whatever the issue the person chooses. I wasn't committing a crime, but rather I was waiting extra time than I should have because the manager (heavy set female) chose to give the police a description of of my beige sweater and my blue jeans etc... Rather than keep peace by making sure family dollar employees keep a harmonious environment by getting customers in and out of store timely. This is 1st rule of thumb with corporate family dollar because many of us have family who work or have worked for family dollar and we are privy to it's policies. Now to really put the icing on the cake please observe the following: the second I asked who the manager was and the heavy set female stated she was I immediately told her i'm making a complaint. Out of nowhere a white female stated out loud that the heavy set lady is always rude to her and her loved ones. I then asked the white female to take down my number and please let me have her number as well.in addition to this, a foreign looking guy (mexican descent or otherwise also took my number and he said to take his (I think he said his name was toni) because he wanted to be a witness against the family dollar manager because of her rudness and not willing to accept the fact that this is not germany this is not russia and american standards are continuing to fall by the way side by people on the job and away from the job who insist on being part of the problem and not the solution. I am stating in this complaint that I want to make sure this female manager get this information clear as a bell that people of older generations will not allow them to disrespect us, misconstrue our intentions or words or what we find appropriate and certainly reasonable. My words were directed at those ill-mannered 2 black females and the many new generation folks who continue to fail to not get the memo that "disrespect in many folk's books is never an option." also the female can avoid a lot of mess for herself if she understand that we live in a world where people agree and disagree on issues, however, for her to just jump right in head 1st on and issue that surely hit home with the truth how young people disrespect others and her to witness no responses of any customer agreeing they feel disrespect, the manager misrepresented my intentions which was to ensure the youngsters get the message their actions are also why many communities lack harmony. My intentions were solid and honest and 2 other customers among others also agreed. The film will show the real truth. The manager created this domino effect by not opening another register, nor did she even use discretion by asking me to come talk to her in privacy to resolve issue nor did she yell out that were sorry were experiencing business currently and that were working on speeding up service but rather she chose to yell out in short fuse "you have to leave!" "you're disrespecting customers!" my first response was "i'm simply telling the truth." atleast I even look for the smaller lady to open another register but she said no she's not going to help people get out quicker. Family dollar: "you have a problem of not properly screening new employees and you are not alone. I will say there are wonderful employees who work at your stores including the smaller female at the clover and wayne ave location. I was just there 1 or 2 days before this issue arised. I'm just saying everybody is not cut out to handle customers properly and I would be glad to assist in any way I can if need be."i'm not looking for a job per se, however, some folks just need extra reminder of what works and what can cause ruckus in businesses. I did tell my friend on the phone that I wanted corporate to end the heavy set female's job but I currently reconcile my feelings to simply requesting a follow up at my number and email address to ensure that what occurred on 3-18-2018 approximately 3pm to 4:00pm will be resolved with the presence of proper family dollar if not dollar tree staff. I will also state in this email that I assure you I will in no way discourage any customers to end service or bad mouth family dollar or dollar tree nor have I made any unlawful gestures towards any employee as the female manager tried to insinuate when I told her i'm filing a major complaint. I use to send some stuff to social media years ago but I try to stay out of that type of arena because it can really cause issues to be misconstrued and businesses to be misrepresented. The sad thing about this situation is the female at wayne and clover have no idea who I am and who i'm connected to. It would be wise for her to know that a lot of people shop at many stores in dayton and some employees take it upon themselves to seek retaliation against innocent folks who simply want to have an equal exchange when it comes to business affairs. There are many church folks, elders, deacons, bishops, executives of corporations, government folks and some people just waiting on some employee at some businesses to violate company policy. This employee don't even come close to ruffing my feathers as some companies have such as speedway among others. I just want her to understand that in this email I sent to you I am starting the process of a serious complaint and this complaint will only go as far as need be if not properly resolved. Still, what I don't appreciate is anyone misconstruing my intentions or my words. This I will not accept because america has enough liars at the white house who don't handle tax-payer's issues properly. I will leave you with 2 customers numbers who are witnesses to the manager at clover and wayne's unprofessionalism. 937-361-3588/937-422-5469. And for what it's worth, I believe a lot of caucasions jump the gun or barney fife on issues because they don't like black people or simply as I stated don't want to do their jobs. Over the years this has caused a lot of mess in communities and even to the point where blacks were even scolded to the point of death by racists cops. One thing about us blacks is we do discern and can perceive the steps of a racist and lying and jumping the gun on issues is the best description of that type of person. I hope the manager concening this issue is not racist but she surely could have avoided the mess which influenced you to be reading this complaint. My name is don and you can reach me at 937-266-0837 anytime preferably after 12:00pm. If you need to call earlier please do so. Thanks for your patience as well as your eyes to this matter. God bless everyone at family dollar

Family Dollar no carts available, cluttered isles

Store Number 05164
1031 Kenmore Blvd
Akron, Ohio
I shop in this store 2-3 times a week and there is always a line at the register back down the isle, the cashier rarely calls for help unless someone in line starts yelling for another register to open, and that same day I walked in and the carts were all gone, I asked a worker there about the carts and she said "we are using them for our inventory" and didn't even apologize for there not being any carts. This is the worst Family Dollar, they are never friendly, the isles are full of unpacked boxes and the line at the register is enough to just walk back out and go elsewhere. Another time I asked for a big bag (because in the car everything falls out of those small bags) and she said "were not allowed to use the big bags." Another thing that bothers me is the beggars that stand out front, and when there's a line at the register other workers are out front smoking. I have complained before about this store but it never changes. Please clean this store up, I don't even feel safe going in there.

Family Dollar public bathroom

Please put a bathroom in each store! My daughter almost wet herself while we were shopping😣. We shopped and spent time in the store. Spent at least 50.00 there! At the last minute my young daughter needed to go and the cashier's refused her with no sympathy. Not good customer service. Jake Alexander Blvd. Location. Even Dollar General and Dollar Tree which are similar to your store have a bathroom accessible for paying customers. I understand for those not buying anything...but we did!

Family Dollar customer service cashier

Today while in store #10807, I received a phone call, I answered the phone, and held a conversation while the cashier helped the customer in front of me. When the cashier finished he asked me to wait a minute, which I did, when he came back to the register, his greeting was " I hate when customers are on the phone, it drives me crazy, ugh!" I finished my transaction and told him that his comment was not necessary and that my being on the phone did not stop him from doing his job, he then said "whatever" in an irate tone. I do not appreciate being spoken to on that tone by any one, especially in a location where I'm spending my money, I think someone needs to speak with James and his customer service skills.

Family Dollar customer service employees

This evening on 03/12/18 my nephew and I visited store number 04420 located at 261 Broad Street Manchester, CT 06040.
I picked up six items and made my way to the cashier where we were assisted by a cashier named Amanda. My nephew saw a bell on the counter and
rang it and placed it back down. Amanda continued with the transaction as the other associate Jessica stormed over snatched up the bell from by Amanda's side and walked back to her register making nasty rude comments to my nephew and me.
Amanda then decided to join Jessica with her comments and because of their rude behavior I asked to return all six items. Jessica then started to yell saying that Amanda could not do the return because she was in training. I patiently waited until Jessica was done with her customer for my $20 return and asked for the number to customer service. She continued to be rude to my nephew and me and said that I needed to google the information myself.
After several times of me asking for the information she continued yelling and arguing with my nephew and being rude and disrespectful to me.
All of the patrons in the store were flabbergasted at the behavior demonstrated and the vulgar language used in front of the children present.
I am a government employee and never in my life have I ever treated anyone with such intolerable and disgusting behavior . I am expecting there to be some form of satisfaction for this type of mistreatment by your family dollar employees. If this is the type of training that associates are given then your company needs to do a complete overhaul of customer service skills and management qualifications.
My plan is to continue to persue equal and fair treatment for all customers and if this is an unattainable goal to be met by your Family Dollar corporation I will also be reporting your practices to the Better Business Bureau.

Family Dollar store manager

I'm a Customer, on 3/11/2018, My Husband and I were leaving the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store ! We were backing out, when the Manager almost walked into the side of our car! When we ask her what she was doing she was very combative, which made the situation escalate to an argument, she was very disrespectful, yelling at us across the parking lot and then told us not to com back to her store! The whole situation would not have gotten to that level if she would have taken responsibility for her unprofessional actions from the beginning! I have lived in this Community for 22 yrs and have shopped in this store since it opened, and have seen up to 5 different Managers go through this store, I have never had a issue until this! I have been a valued customer that has spent thousands of dollar at this store and feel totally disrespected! I shop there for the convenience in location to my residence! The Manager seemed to be under the influence of something! Maybe a drug test is needed! Thank You for your time, Sincerely, Valued Customer
