Family Dollar store manager

The price was wrong the manager didn't want to change the price . She got mad and snatched the package out of my hand 2 times the second time she scratched me really hard . The next she had a very bad attitude an snatched my products again. I feel like she doesn't need to be at this location anymore she is very rude an disrespectful I don't feel safe coming in this store anymore more I wouldn't want to get scratched again or my kids . The store have been very nasty since the last manger left please get another manger or I will start a protest where no one shop here again please

Family Dollar wrongfully accused of stealing

Family dollar 5364. Me and my lady was here 9/8/18 around 8pm maybe a little earlier when an employee was by the doors to enter/exit as we was about to exit the store the employee said that we had to open our bags cause we were seen on cameras stealing, when we asked to see the cameras they didn't want to show us and continued asking us to open the bags, since we were not showing our bags soon later we were asked to leave but before leaving we did show our bags just to show the employees and customers we did not steal anything.

My husband got accused of stealing - I'm not sure what the store number was- but it didn't have to do with any bags--the manager said that he had stole multiple times but could not say when or show anything that backed the statement up. I feel like she just wanted to put her foot down on who could be in the store and who could not be in there- something really wrong is going on in the neighborhood we live in. I think because people are so uneducated and racist, they feel they can get away with their unethical behavior in a work environment. I am going to see what happens next time- when a different manager and employees are in the store.

If they told you where the cameras were, they have to kill you for knowing too much. Seriously, if you didn't steal anything, why didn't you show your bags to start with instead of arguing first.

Family Dollar wrongfully accused of theft

Today I was wrongfully accused of theft by family dollar for stealing diapers. Why. I have no idea. I have never stolen anything in my life. Not only did employees accuse me of theft but proceeded to tell the cops I steal all the time which is funny since this is my first encounter with the cops. They proceeded to issue a letter banning me from the property and accuses me of theft though there was none and they have absolutely zero proof. Needless to say I am seeking legal counsel. The security systems don't work. You walk in the store and then you walk out they always beep. Not just for me but everyone. Every time I stop and comply and this is what they do to me. Disgusting. The store is never kept. You can't walk around without bumping into merchandise. Employees always complaining about their jobs. Always. Guess they did me a favor because it is not a pleasant shopping experience. I am mortified that I've been accused and will be seeking damages.

Family Dollar manager

Ur manager or super visor in Pleasanton texas was coght smoking and drinking big bottles of wine and i saw her both beer and drilling money from the register and was being rude to the customers and she need to be fired its a gents the law to be drilling and drinking on job if u don't do something im never going to ur store again she has brown curly hair

Family Dollar employee

I visited family Dollar in Taylorsville NC. I was followed around the whole store by an employee. I went to get some milk out of the cooler and the lady that was following me came around the corner so fast that she hit me knocking me into the cooler. When I said something to her about shoving me into the cooler she told me that if I didn't like the way she ran her store I could leave. Her name is Laura. I asked for corporates number and she laughed in my face and shoved her name tag in my face and told me there was nobody I could call cause she was the manager. This took place around 6pm on September 3 2018. I have several Witnesses that seen this take place. This is not okay and I'm thinking of calling an attorney. Thank u

Family Dollar cashier bullied me and egged on a 400 pd biker chick threatening me

My 1st visit, 4075 deltona blvd. Spring Hill, fl 34606I asked a woman working there Sue, if she could check a cat laser pointer for me to make sure it worked from the sale rack, she refused by saying "I can't do that, we have cameras, it will look like im stealing it." I checked out with younger very polite girl, she put batteries in, it worked. While running my debit card, Sue kept walking back and making comments when no one was speaking to her and i was so distracted while trying to put my pin # in. I told her "please go away" which made her mad. One of her giant size, over weight biker friends covered in tatoos creeps out of an aisle and starts yelling at me. Wow, really? What the hell did I do? I got all my bags headed for the door and this huge misshaped tattooed gorilla blocks the door, demanding i meet her outside! I couldnt believe it, i told her to get out of my way, squeezed past her without touching her and she spit in my face! OMG! I flew out the door, yelled out i was calling the police, got in my car, locked the door and called 911. I will never ever go back to that store again. Never in my life have I come across a wanna be thug as a cashier. Police were called. Sue had told me she couldn't check out my dollar laser because cameras watching would think she was stealing. I told the police to please go view the camera tape.
Because it was Sue and biker woman against me, the other sweet cashier was probably to scared to tell what happened, afraid to lise her new job, maybe. Sue told sheriff their cameras were broke. This happened monday around 3 p.m. -4:15p.m. sept 3, 2018. She needs to be fired, i am 64 yrs old, been a cashier for 30 yrs, never in my life have i come across a bully wanna be thug picking a fight with a customer?! I asked her 3 times to "please leave me alone, and I wasnt speaking to her any more" while trying to read card machine to put in my pin numbers in and check out.

the store located on 631 nw 6 to buy toilet tissue my hearing impaired so I entered so I pass guard he followed me I was unaware turn to him telling me to leave my purse at register I was in line I was refuse service I was ask aggressively to leave store i call police they told me I couldn't come back I m not a criminal I was treated unfairly with his hands on his gun

I feel he should be removed from. Working around customers loyal paying customer I would not want any one too feel the way I felt today for both the guard the cashier and the police officer I felt mistreated and it's said and I won't recommend anyone I know to there any more even when they have sale as long as the guard is posted there

So.he had his hand on his gun and I was like what u gonna [censored] me cause I didn't leave my purse at the register the cashier refused to take my money as If she was also afraid I turn to see him standing behind me with hand in gun saying this is the last time he gonna tell me to leave the store so I call the police only to have them tell me they have no jurisdiction on what goes on in family dollars and that the guard doesn't want me to come back and if I do I would go to jail for trespassing I feel this is unfair I explained that I can't hear that well I feel that the guard should have better training in how to deal with customer with out treating them as criminals I feel I should not have been denied service or band from coming back to the store cause I shop there every week two to three time a week or

Family Dollar poor customer service

Besides the store ALWAYS being dirty on inside and out. The manager there by the name of STEPHY OR STEPHANIE is VERY RUDE. She stands there at the register as if she doesn't see you standing there waiting. Instead of helping a customer, her and the undercover cop stands there and talk about personal business. She rung me up, turned her back and took her time putting lotion on her hands and talked with the cop. She didn't tell me how much i owed before she turned her back. The card machine was broke so i couldn't see the total either. When she FINALLY turned around, she gave me the dumbest look as if i was just standing there to be standing there. I had to ASK her how much. She NEVER greets customers. She acts as if she has a chip on her shoulders and don't want to be there. The whole store needs a make over. Until a change happens. Ill be going to Dollar general. Where the workers are nice and the store is clean and in order.

Thank you for your reply dated August 31, your swift review, and feedback regarding Incident #6458070.

Also, thank you for addressing my concerns with your management team to resolve this matter based on the policies and procedures at Family Dollar

With all do respect, please answer the following questions.

1) What is the name of the management team that you refer, and where are they located?

2) Will the Family Dollar management team consider reversing the lifetime ban that is rendered against me by management in Store #10504? If yes, I please provide your reverse decision in writing, to prevent this issue from being a repeat occurrence.

Please consider I am a frequent customer at this location, have never been repeatedly cursed at by an employee at my workplace or otherwise. I easily spend $75 to $100 dollars at this location monthly for the past four years.

3) Is it company policy to allow your employees to provoke confrontations by cursing at their customers, spew condescending words and the lowest level of profanity possible at their customers?

4) Is it company policy to instruct your employees to resolve all issues with customers by closing the only open register for 30-45 minutes with a continuous growing number of customers in line? He continuously refused to service me; he simply would not accept my money or the assistance from another customer that was willing to pay for my items to end the irate dispute between us and to complete my transaction. This young, male cashier did not like the fact that the man before me in line insisted the older Spanish, female, employee get off her cell phone to assist customers in line, and the fact that I agreed with him; unbelievable! Both employees continued to curse at me and hurl slurs; the Spanish woman kept telling the young cashier not to service me. I continued to insist they stop arguing with me, stop threatening that I will be taken to jail, just call the police. Trust me this woman pretends to be organizing the same shelves every time I go to this store but, is doing absolutely nothing.

Family Dollar bad customer services

Hello my name is Ebony Barnes. I just came from store #05642 in Mount Rainier MD. The cashier in that store was very rude. I never in my life had to deal with such a rude person. I waited in line for 30 minutes because a lady wanted $5 off of her bill. Instead of the cashier telling the several other customers including me that been in line complaining, sorry for the inconvenience . She waits until I get to the cash register to get rude just because I asked her a simple question about giving out discount because the long wait. She tells "No" in the most nasty way and going to say it ain't my fault you waited in line. I don't think no one should be working at a store with an attitude like that. No matter how a person day is they should never take it out on a customer. I know that everyone need a job but I really don't think she need to working with people anymore not with that attitude. I been at work all day to go in to a store paying my hard earn money to go in to a store where I don't feel wanted.

Family Dollar harassment in the workforce by store manager

Hello my name is Jarrett Johnson. I am a employee of family dollar store #3824 In saint Louis Missouri. My complaint is for my store manager. Her Name is Terry Lakes. My concern is that my job may be in jeopardy. On several occasions my store manager has left me without resources to do my job for example i was not given the correct information when it came to cash handling deposits. i was told by my supervisor trainer Sandra Buckner that I myself should not take my own deposits to the bank, Which was false because today on 09/04/2018 i was written up for following what i was told by my supervisor. Upon asking if the information that was given to me was correct, I was told by Terry lakes, "I don't know, don't ask me". Another miss communication was that Casandra Buckner informed me that I should have been left with keys from Terry Lakes, in order to open and close the store properly but was not given any. 09/03/2018 at 4:30 Casandra Buckner informed me that she will take my deposit to the bank. 09/04/2018 my deposit was found in the store safe. which she informed me that that was my fault and that she had to report me and write a complaint. I asked why would her superior manager tell me otherwise and that she purposely gave me false information. I also have informed my District manager Jason Hummrich. which I have left several voicemails informing him of the situations. I also informed my supervisor Casandra Buckner about missing hours on my check, and was told there was noting i could do about it. I am trying to reach out to someone in upper management that will help resolve my problem before my job is at risk.

Family Dollar nasty customer service

i wwent to storen07070 today 0904 and had a nasty experience .inwas ready to cash several items but there was no cashier.there was a male employee filling air in baloons at the cashier area.i then called out to him hor help...he totally ignored me even after more call to him...he then said to if i see him doing cash in a loud an d insulting manner with anger..others was also in the cash line.this not good and i will share this with all.

Family Dollar chestnut hill all purpose flour

I cant remember the day or time I bought the product but I'm a regular customer here. I was on my way home and realized I forgot my flour because I wanted to fry some chicken for dinner. I ended up stopping by family dollar and picking up flour which they happen to have the large pack for a dollar. I was really excited when I bought the flour cause I had never seen it For That price before. When I get home and put my groceries up I Started Preparing Myself to cook. I Open the floor and immediately bugs start crawling out. I ended up videoing and taking pictures of the product itself.

Family Dollar 908 la salle avenue, hampton, va

This Family Dollar in Hampton is the worst Family Dollar Store I have ever seen.
The Store is in a disarray. The items are mixed up and all over the place on the shelves.
There is never any staff or anybody to help you. There is no air conditioning in this store! The store is hot in = hot weather. Everyone is sweating. It is a shame!
There is never any staff in this store --except for two cashiers always.
There is always a sign outside that they need workers, and they are hiring, but no one stays long enough in this store. The cashiers they hire always leave.
There has been no store manager in this Family Dollar for quite some time. This store definitely needs help, and they are always "empty" in the food department.
This store needs a lot of help.
At least have air conditioning?

Family Dollar customer service

I wished store number 11371 on 9/3/18 at approximately 6:13 pm for a purchase. My credit card showed no sufficient funds, so I used another card. The problem I have is that the unprofessional cashier at the register made an announcement that I didn't have the funds to pay for my merchandise. There were other customers at the register and I was embarrassed. These are the things that keep customers away from certain stores. No empathy for the consumer. Some retraining could be used at this store.

Family Dollar grafix glow sand art set and creative kids fairy charms

Hi, My name is John Perry Last night about nine I visited Store # 10276 with my wife We are four months new to this neighborhood like Always we were greeted with a smile, a hello, , a hand of help and awesome experience from Your employees
Genuine respect and kindness!
I Purchased a total of #22 items, receipt #[protected]-7763 Everything went Great I caught an awesome labour day sale Family dollar had going, I saved 5 bucks on that order from My Family Dollar coupon App lol! However as usual After getting home and going over my Goods #2 of the items I purchased in hopes to add to a gift basket for my baby girl birthday next week this one is special to me cause I won't be there
One of the items I requested a deduction of was a damaged box of what I thought was incomplete of just bottles and only had sand bags inside but it just had some food and trash wrapper inside the Sand Art kit for $1.25 the regular price is $3.25 The #2 Item is the fairy charms Creative kids set at Regular price $5 i realized The work station it contains is mostly the box so I thought no deal I'll go back when Family dollar opens on today I tried to return them the cashier who was there today was rude To me every time I come there to both me and my wife she Opened the boxes in my face and said no I should wait for The manager to come that's who has the last say but when my Wife called to speak to the other manager This woman hung up on her and she may have gotten a bit of lip the 2 time my wife call I humbly apologize to you but everyday for 4 months i come in hoping to avoid her cause NOBODY in the store treat ppl like that That woman is disrespectful not only to customer but she is disrespectful to her Position as a employee Of family dollar this is the 3rd time why is she allowed to treat customers that way? she makes her co-workers follow us and we hear her LOUD saying to watch us and follow us last time she just made Mario follow us and he just apologizes red in the face, all we come to do is buy things for our family, not to be harassed by employees My wife is pregnant, we live Directly by the store and I purchase literally mostly everything We need there frequently not once have this happened on a simple return all I ask is that she is tooken care off accordingly, and that my wife and I not continue to be treated like this by Her again and that a return be made back to me in the amount I paid I don't mind if it's store credit or cash I just asked that it be fair? Family Dollar store management

I recently quit Family Dollar store #9418. I did so because I reached burn out stage.
I f it weren t for the hard working managers at your stores most of you in the ivory tower would not be pulling down those 6 or 7 figure salaries. MY LAST two to three months I averaged 65-75 hours topping out at 88 hrs in the middle of july. You top executives need to to do an" undercover boss" to see the frustration we managers go through day in and day out.
Attendance is poor! why you might ask- hour rate too low, lack of a bonus system or monetary review for doing a good job. I went 22 straight days with at least one call off or noshow. The resultwas that I had to put on my superman suit and do my job as well as theirs.
I had one of the larger stores in the Milwaukee area and I treated it as if it were my OWN. I worked very hard to maintain store standards; however, hearing the constant threat of being terminated put me in a mode to find other work. Happily my talents did not go unnoticed and will be joining a company that values its hard workers. Store operations need to change if your going to be profitable in ALL your stores.
The way we handle unloading the truck is a waste of time, money, and employee energy. Monthly schematics should involve a separate team of workers that have the experience, speed, knowledge, and time to do the job right. This would include your monthly endcaps as well.
As a manager of one of your stores I work the overstock everyday and then had to help out with the 40-60 totes we received on weekly basis. YES I had employees to distrubute the work ;however, there are times when customers needed to be taken care of as well. ( I am betting not one of you could handle the work flow I did in a months time.)
Recover recover recover if Ihad the right staff it it would get done. Toys, apparel, and towels hardest to keep neat. The only time I sat down was to do the necessary store daily, weekly, monthly and making sure registers, change fund and the
deposit were done right.
I have been in the retail business for over ten years. Worked as a manager for an inventory company for over five years. I got a chance to see various store operations up close and Also working in the merchansing division of the same company.
Doing schematics can be fun but not if you are under constraints as we are .
I am a hands on guy. By working as hard as I did, I hoped to set an example -however, what I got were people who didn't care - AL will get it done!
As I showed and explained many a times I actually made less per hour than they did.
Finally as people of the ivory tower you ALL need to get your hands dirty. I heard many stories how each of you moved up within the company. I feel you all have been complacent. You forgot how hard it can be, the hours you all put in, the double shifts you all had to put in, the customer ridicule because you maybe following the store policy on a return only to be insulted, the laziness of some workers, the demand to cut shrink especially when security has been pulled away, two strong armed robberies and only to hear how it should have been handled or why and how the store could look better (REALLY)!
FYI I am not the only manager who feels this way. I predict You will loose half of your managers in the near future more so in the higher sales store than your rural stores. I I hope you you make some changes becausethe people you serve will be impacted.

Family Dollar condition of the store

This store has not been in our town long it was really convenient for a lot of people to go there rather than Walmart. About 2 months ago the store started goin downhill merchandise all over the floor I went in there today August 30 and it was like a bomb had gone off. Some isles you couldn't even walk down because the floor was covered with merchandise like someone had gone I. And emptied the shelves onto the floor frozen and refrigerated food setting on the floor instead of the coolers. People were complaining when I walked in the door to the cashier I found my way down an isle the things I went there to purchase I couldn't even get to I turned around and left without buying anything. This really saddens me it was a really nice store. I won't be back until condions change so will a lot of other people. This store needs your help or it won't stay open

Family Dollar racist cashier

I downloaded the family dollar app 4 days ago, i was registered and everything able to clip coupons and save them. I bought items for that purpose to use the coupons. I get up to the register, this lady was beyond rude. No hello, no your welcome thank you nothing straight ignorant. I was a former employee at this location and this is a disappointment I've worked customer service for 10+ years i know how to handle and treat a customer and she was none of those qualities. I go and tell her i have the digital coupons she goes no i dont know you need the app and i go NO I HAVE THE APP LOOK she looks then looks the other way doesnt even acknowledge the fact. So i ignore that rude gesture AGAIN, now for the coupons being used i entered my number and she goes no its not valid. I show her my phone and tell her scan the barcode then she tries after 2 times she gives me a dirty look and an attitude of really i really have to do this. I had to spend more money then i came with and now i have to ask someone to buy my babies food cause your CASHIER doesn't know her job or customer service. I'm feeling profiled cause I'm white and she was african american. I had my 3 kids with me she's watching them as they go by the gumball machine ignoring me giving me attitude. There was a line forming behind and she acted like she had no clue what to do, so before getting frustrated and saying something i just paid the full amount which i think is so dumb when i had the coupons! This is ridiculous after today i will never go to family dollar again. I can't believe i got mistreated cause im white with coupons. What is that about? Is that family dollar racist? I feel profiled and i feel like she wanted me to look dumb. Something needs to be done and it better.

Family Dollar deplorable customer service

I went in to a FD store #666 on 8/30/2018 to purchase some sale items that were on your FD app. I was the only person in line with the SM and ASM standing there but noone came to check me out. The SM then says the ASM would be with me. When i finally get rang up i let the cashier know i wanted to do multiple transactions to use my FD app coupons. The ASM didnt let me put in my phone # so i told her to let me finish she had a nasty attitude about it. I went to family dollar in charlottesville store #666 to get some items that were on sale. I went to the back where items were located but there was no ad signs in sigjt. I walked thru the store again there was no ad signs anywhere. When i asked the SM "which items where on sale and why were there no ad signs present?" She told me i was not allowed in the store anymore. This is the most horrendous service i have ever recieved from a SM she needs to be removed from this business. If you cant do your job right there is reason to take it out on paying customers. I will not ever return to this FD #666 until they have better customer service/removal of this SM!
