Family Dollar smart coupon

Hello. I wanted to use the smart up on the in one of your stores, I typed in my phone number and asked the cashier if I need to push the green button to apply my coupons and he said that I just have to write in my phone number in. I go over my receipt later and see that none of the coupons were applied when mainly I but the things that I had coupons on. Can I do anything to try and get those savings the didn't apply?

As long as you keep your receipt, take your items back to return them. Have the cashier cash you out for the return amount. Re-purchase your items, type in your phone number, hit the green button on the pin pad afterwards. Let the cashier hit total. Ask and make sure the coupons you have clipped came off. Then you can cash out for your purchase. It is a process to do, but if you want to save then its what has to be done. Just be sure that you have the coupons clipped and that what you get matches what the coupon states. If the coupons don't come off when total is hit the cashier can't over ride any of the coupons since it all goes through the app.

Family Dollar cashier/ employee

I went into the Family Dollar store in Capon Bridge, WV on Tuesday October 17th, 2017 to purchase some tobacco/cigarette rolling tubes on my way back from my sons' doctors appointment. I'm sure the cashier saw me walk into the store. Right after I entered she went to a nearby aisle ( which she could see her register from) and started stocking the shelf. I waited on her patiently for a while and eventually thought that maybe she didn't see me walk in, so I rang the bell which was sitting on the counter. She came over to the register and as soon as I told her what I wanted to purchase, she immediately got an attitude saying that she couldn't sell them to me because there was a man just in there trying to purchase the same thing and that I was just trying to buy them for him. I responded back that I was purchasing them for myself and that I smoke. She retorted back in a very ignorant attitude that she didn't have to sell them to me, wasn't going to and that was her right. She wrote down a number for me to call and said that if they said that I could purchase them that she would gladly sell them to me. My cell phone doesn't have service in that area of Capon Bridge so I couldn't call the number she gave me. I calmly left the store although I was very upset. I entered the store by myself, not with anyone else so I don't see how she can claim that I was with anyone. Just because I walked in right after someone else did and was trying to purchase the same product that they were trying to buy is not proof positive that I was trying to buy it for them. I was actually telling her the truth when I said that I was purchasing them for myself and that I smoked. It's not my fault or responsibility that someone else tried to purchase something and she wouldn't sell it to them and I shouldn't be punished or held accountable for it. I am of age to buy tobacco products and I had my ID on me at the time so she shouldn't of had any reason to refuse selling them to me. I ended up having to go out of my way to another store past my house when I could have just went home instead (if she would have sold the tubes to me). That store lost a customer and my business because I will never go there or purchase anything from there again. Her attitude was very unprofessional and very unacceptable. I feel that she should be the one punished in some sort of way for making false accusations against customers and for treating them so disrespectfully.

Family Dollar assistant manager/ employee

I've always enjoyed my experience at Family dollar in Anderson, Indiana (205 E 14th St.) but this past month has been horrible and intense because of a particular staff memeber. I believe she is the New Assistant Manager. This is my second time witnessing her attitude towards customers. Not just any customers but African American males. I don't think she realizes that her negativity affects everyone in the store, especially customers. I hope that this matter will be taking care of ASAP!

Family Dollar 8690 family dollar store memphis, tn

You all are putting customers at risk with a dangerous store manager male name Jonathan to operate this company running this nasty and unprofessional business. My mother and I witnessed this manager run after and attack customers for family dollar product not his items. He can get killed or customers and employees are at risk daily. The store is a wreck since a professional and harded dedicated manager got fired for wrongful termination. This store is the community pride but not by who is operating this store. The district manager Tracy seems to accept this horrible store with freight everywhere. We couldn't shop or get down the aisles. I went to this store at 8:33 p.m. on 10.25.2017 and store was locked. The lady name Kimberly stated she the manager and said we are closed. This location doesn't close till 10 p.m. and my mother needed several products one being meds. The young lady stated to police guy we are closed sick of these ([censor] I am trying to go home). They where playing loud music not to company standards. So you all close this store on a daily record for employees I watched this night go to B 52 liquor store down the street. I will let my love ones no Family Dollar will NOT receive our business and friends. I am very sadden after this happened. This store always open up LATE and close early. You have a unconsiderate district manager knowing that this store is closing early and opening late. The other manager lady used to run this store professional and clean. Now district manager they name call Tracy doesn't care bout your business. This has been reported to her and nothing has been done, because its still happening. So I am emailing corporate because you guys have lost to faithful shoppers for this unacceptable behavior and people u shouldn't have working for you all. I am so hurt and will NOT be shopping at Family Dollar!

Family Dollar return

My daughter is 9 months pregnant, we had a baby shower. She got two packs of kidget diapers. My grandson, her son was highly allergic to them. We just wanted to return them and pay the difference and get luvs. None of your stores are letting us do it. What are we supposed to do with these diapers that she don't want to put on her new baby girl. I don't understand we wasn't trying to get money. All we wanted to do was exchange and pay the difference. You don't realize how up set this has made her or me. We also received a pack of receiving blankets. That were blue. We didn't even try to take them back. She is a single mom and it's not fair. I think it would have been just plan rude to ask your guess for a receipt.

Family Dollar workers

I always shop at Family Dollar store #05353 In Dixie Inn Louisiana, today I went in to pick up on some things. First they had a sign on the door saying no bags, next when I went to play for my things I had a hundred dollar bill, this new lady told me I can't change that I just got here so I ask where was the assistance manger she never went to get her to see if she can get some change for the hundred. I have been shopping there every since it opening up. She put my things on the counter and said no bags if you don't have bags can you please give your customers a box or something to put there things in. This store have a new manager, and a new cashier that don't need to be working for this company. Can you please put someone in charge that knows how to talk, and treat there customers? We as customers spend to much money in Family Dollar to be treated like that. I have been shopping there so long I know who the employees is. I would love to continue shopping there, but if you'll don't fix this problem you will be lossng all your customers.

Family Dollar defective product/manager had no customer service skill

Purchase cleaning supplies left the store picked up bags off the seat to bring inside notice an strong odor and that all my bags plus seats were wet took the things that were intact inside all except one bag which was full of wasting liquid immediately taking the defective good back spoke to cashier who informed manger located on 1450 ne 123st who immediately said i left the store with it .then turn around and then said the bag not broken .smh wondering what is the world coming to when your spending your hard earned money and not receiving product you payed for nor customer service

Family Dollar jello strawberry gelatin

under neath the price was .75 cents a box, , i grabbed 3, when it rang up at $1.00 a box i said something to cashier, she said oh well i will let him know later, , well that was on the 19th of oct, yesterday i stopped in for one other item and jello still said .75 for the strawberry, , so i went and took a picture of it on my phone.. they do not want to make anything right, , had trouble with workers in the same store 8-10 years ago just recently started going back, , , i guess bad decision. i am keeping both, so mad thinking of talking to a lawyer as receipt is dated and picture on phone dated as when taken. Family Dollar trash

Sirs, I work in a small town for a local museum. You recently built a new store directly across the alley way from us. Since the store opened we have noticed excessive amounts of trash in front of and behind our business. Recently the Family Dollar store was asked to mow the 7-8 ft tall weeds that were on their side of the alley. They hired someone to mow, but the person did not pick up the trash beforehand and mowed all of the trash with the weeds, so now all of that trash is blowing all over our downtown area! This is unsightly! We take pride in our establishment as well as our community and we just ask that your businesses keep their areas clean and maintained. We have volunteers in our community that go out and pick up trash weekly. I know they would appreciate that everyone take care of their own areas as to not add to their work. Thank you.

Family Dollar i'm complaining about customer service

I just left family dollar here on almonster blvd in New Orleans la The time to open is 7 I got there about 7:30 am and the store was still closed because the lady said no cashier was there but Two people where in there sitting around doin nothing that's crazy and I had to go 20 minutes out my way for a Store, just terrible and I'm sure she was a manager and getting paid to do nothing

Family Dollar only one person in store without manager or employee backup/ bad management

I was in store 10121 around 4:00pm today 10/20/17 and Gordy was the only employee in the store. There was a long line of 7 to 8 people waiting to be checked out. When he was asked where his extra help was he stated that his manager had left for a little while and he was the only person in the store. As a customer and a manager of a buisness I find this extremely inappropriate that a non manager employee was left alone in the store. And this is not an unusually accurence for this said manager.

She is also known for bad mouthing her employees to customers and friends along with holding up lines by talking to friends for minutes when she is there and actually on a register. I am one of many unimpressed customers.

Family Dollar store manager

On today at 5:00 p.m when I clocked in asked about the new schedule for next week and he said it was hanging up so I looked and noticed I only had two days for next week . Then I went on to say I need to talk with you about the schedule . Then he responds and say I don't have to discuss with you nothing about my schedule and don't ask me anymore . I said all I'm asking is for more days and it's rare that you'll have an employee that'll ask for more days too work . Then he said make this your last time asking me about my schedule before you want have no days on my schedule at all . I shouldn't have to work in such hostile environment. It's almost like he's singling me out like he want me to quit but I'm not because as I stated I have a family to feed and bills to pay . I will report to work on my two days that I have but if he goes in the system and change them after the fact I'll be taking legal action for discrimination . I'm currently on hold with the corporate office now but just in case the office closed this is my complaint .

Family Dollar manager of store on mlk in shreveport

I was going through my 12 yr old phone as I usually do and seen something I have never seen before on his phone. A flick as we call it. After further investigation, I see it is a flick of a manager of the store we shop at weekly. I have came to know her by shopping in that store all the time with my child. She is very unprofessional. Always on her phone talking loudly. You can see her walking around the store on it. I really want you to see what my son and His 12 yr old friends been looking at. All these kids parents shop at this store and these kids do to. She need to keep her private business off the internet. Family Dollar charge to my debit account and paid cash due to casher's error!

My name is Donna Little [protected]@yahoo.com or [protected]. I got to the counter, the cashier rang up my items totaling in the amount of $19.09. I inserted my card, entered my pin, and the machine instructed me to "remove card!" I moved my card and the cashier told me the transaction did not go through, I had to pay cash. However, I thought about it and as I exited the store I logged into my bank account and noticed that the transaction did in fact was processed. I went back to the store for my cahs back and they would not give me. I have a receipt and bank statement. I was told to come back and see a manager but, I was treated very disrespectful!

Family Dollar refund given different than my receipt

10/19/2017
I started with 1 complaint now I have 2 - called Family Dollar customer sevice number I was on hold for 40 minutes I finally hung up that is unacceptable.

On 9/6/17 I bought a package of men's socks #[protected] for $8.25 at store #05528 receipt # [protected] at 12:36pm..

On 10/19/17 I went into store #06134 to return the socks they rung up for $8.00 the asst. manager said they could only give me the $8.00 instead of the $8.25 that I paid according to my receipt.

I took the refund of $8.00 receipt #[protected] as I did not have time to go to the other store.

I don't understand why I could not get the full amount I paid for this item. I am very disappointed in Family Dollar.

The first store is in an affluent area as the second store is closer to a lower income area. That is sad if that is how you generate your prices...

Bottom line I would like my.25 I work hard for my money and would expect your company to behave in a reputable manner.

Family Dollar store manager

The store manager is very rude. She is racist against black people and disabled people she has had so many complaints. She is always treating customers and employees like they are theifs. I was an employee there and she would say this person is a drug addict or that person steals. She talks badly about employees to other employees and customers. She talks about the freeport manager Tammy like she is [censor]. Employees have quite because of the way she talks about them and says they steal. Gina Sadder should not be a store manager like I said she is a racist and she hates over weight people coming in the store. She never takes responsibility for anything it's always somebody else. I walked out on Monday because I couldn't deal with her any more. What she didn't realize was she was making fun of my family members that came in the store saying that my on cousin was a crack head. She also told me I needed to figure out what was more important my child or my job. My children will always come before a job. She claims she hates her job then she shouldn't be there. She also got mad because she couldn't figure something out so Tammy's daughter works at the Cadiz store and she called Tammy at the freeport store so she was going to write us up for calling another store manager. I understand why this store is loosing customers it's because of the store manager. I personally liked the job it's self. If something isn't done about this manager that store is going to go down very quickly. She has had customers threaten to punch her in her face. Customers call her names like chucky they have called her many names . The manager nianzha of the Warwick store is one of the managers she loves to talk about as well but acks like they are best friends Louella needs to see past her lies and realize Gina is the problem not the employees. I have more that I can say but iam done for now thank you. I do no that customers are going to be calling the better business on her as well.

Family Dollar conditions of the store #6564

This store is a junk yard sale .it is always messy, boxes, uboats, store items on floor all the time you can't even walk down a isle, frezzers have unopen boxes in them you have to literally opened a box to get a product out of them check out area is full of crap all over the counters that you can't get your items on there to cash out cuz it's full of garbage all over the back end of them and on the counters.Theres was a couple people in there taking pictures.To take it to tje city .this is a everyday situation. Your dist manager needs to get this store into shape ASAP

Family Dollar behavior unbecoming for a supervisor/manager

Today is Tuesday, October 17, 2017. I have been a customer of your Soddy Daisy, TN, store for over 7 years and your long term veteran staff (approximately 3) know me when they see me and are always friendly and helpful.

At approximately 8:00 pm EST, this evening, I was shopping in this store. The cashier working was one of the long term veteran staff that I mentioned above and she was her usual friendly and helpful self and we chatted 2 or 3 times while I made my way through the store. In addition to her working at this time, there was a woman who I had not seen before, out on the floor putting up stock. We spoke briefly a couple of times while I was shopping because she almost ran into me when she was pushing stock out, to which she apologized.

I was almost finished shopping and at the front of the store when I overheard the unfamiliar woman say something to the cashier about smelling cigarette smoke. The woman then, very loudly from the front of the store, yelled out toward the rest of the store "If you have a lit cigarette, you must exit the building!" Two customers then approached the checkout and the woman looked at them and said "was it you?" They replied "no, we don't smoke." She said "Do you smell it?" and they replied "Yes, it's very strong in the back of the store." She then said "Hold on a minute..." and walked toward me. She looked at me and said, "Is it you?" I replied "No, I smoke, but I know not to light up a cigarette in a store. I'm not that stupid." and I kind of laughed. She walked past me (never going up or down an isle) turned around and came back to me and said, "If it was you then you need to leave." I told her that it was not me and she said "If it was you, then you need to go!" I asked her why she was accusing me...I wasn't in the back of the store, I was up front where she was. She said, "Because you are the only other person in the store right now." I told her "Well, I'll just pay for my stuff and leave then." She said "Now you don't need to get an attitude with me!" I told her I didn't appreciate being treated like that or talked to like she was talking to me. I then left my cart where it sat and walked toward the door. I passed the cashier who I knew from shopping there for so long and she looked at me and said "What's going on? Did you see anyone smoking?" I said "Well evidently 'she' has decided that it was me so I'm leaving." The unknown woman then said "I never accused you." I said, "you didn't come right out and say it but your tone and your attitude said it for you. I've been a customer here for a long time, you can ask the cashier, and besides I have never been called out and treated like this in my whole life, anywhere, ever!" She then started saying something loudly again as I started out the door and I turned around and said, "My first mistake was saying that I was a smoker and I'm gonna solve it all and leave. Don't worry chick, I will never darken this store's door again! You have a nice day!" I then left and drove 2 blocks to The Dollar General Store and did my shopping without incident.

This was beyond unprofessional and was just plain rude. I hope this is not the traits required to be a Family Dollar employee or even worse, a Family Dollar Supervisor or Store Manager. The gentleman who was or still is the Store Manager, is a very friendly, attentive and warm spoken person. If he isn't employed there anymore, then it is Family Dollar's loss. If this person took his place, then it is going to be Soddy Daisy's Family Dollar's demise. You don't call out a customer, speak to them disrespectfully and accusingly in a loud voice in front of other customer's and your employees. This woman needs to be gone and quickly. I can honestly say, this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my 59 years on this earth. I will not be back as long as this woman is employed there.
