I bought one in October, but didn't start using it until February once a day on 6 goats. Before I bought it, I was told that it had been used on many more goats than I would be using it on. In May, a small plastic piece of the handle broke. Unfortunately, this small plastic piece is the most important part of the pump, so I could no longer use it. The warranty is only 6 months, though, so since I bought it in October they wouldn't replace it. I could buy a new handle for $10 plus shipping, though. Unfortunately, I thought this was a good idea, so I got it. It is now August, and the small plastic piece broke again. I am not replacing it this time, though, because it would be useless, anyway. The parts that hold the bottle to the pump are beginning to crack as well and will probably break in a few weeks if I kept using it.
Also, the bottles are badly designed. They are difficult to clean, and milk is something that you want to make sure is very well cleaned off. I forgot to tell my fiancee that they couldn't go in the dishwasher, and so he put one is the dishwasher while I was gone, and it melted.
I have not been overly hard on this piece of equipment. I have used it carefully and only exactly as I was told it was meant to be used. For only twice the money, I can get a good used vacuum milker that will last me much longer than 6 months. I would never recommend this to anyone else looking to get this for daily milking.
